They are celebrating their 25th anniversary with specials. I opted for the chicken and mushroom quesadilla from that menu. It was loaded with grilled chicken, mushroom, and cheese. It was amazing! Unfortunately it was served with wilted lettuce and and chopped tomatoes. My husband opted for the beef taco salad. The shell was crispy and fresh. The ground beef was spicy with little flavor. The salad was mostly beans, wilted lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and some ground beef. The servers were friendly but at the mercy of the slow kitchen. We experienced the consistent complaint-extremely slow food delivery. Seating consisted of wooden booths and fairly crowded tables. There were a few TVs scattered around. The women's restroom was in need of paint and some cleaning. The men's was dirty enough to smell outside the closed door. Had a late lunch with my wife and Mother. Food was very good. I had the Tex Mex Burger. The ladies had salads. They brought us chips and salsa out. Brought out a hot salsa too. First let me say I usually have a good experience there and normally wouldn't post a bad review over just one bad time; however, the actions of the management compelled me to write this. They were short staffed they claim, completely understandable, and thus we had a 15 minute wait to be seated. No worries. By the time we were seated it took some time for the waitress to come around, again, no biggie considering. However, after ordering pretty straightforward meals (2 adults-2 kids) we watched several other tables be served and get done eating before we even had food. Several others who got their at the same time and after us, so at the hour and fifteen minute mark we just politely ask if we can just get it to go. Another fifteen minutes go by and we get it in an to go bag (finding out it was cold and missing several items when we got home) and when the manager asked why we were upset she then proceeded to tell us it was our fault for not understanding. No offer of a discount or even so much as an apology. The waitress was nice and apologetic, but the manager was not a good face for the business. $86 I spent for cold food that was incomplete, I'll never go back. read more

We had went next door to Applebee's the night before. (Big mistake) and this place smelled so good. We thought we would try it. It was a cute place and I expected mor Mexican food I suppose. Waitress was sweet that took our order but we never seen her again until we saw her loaded down to leave for the night and told the staff shed see them later. Don't even go here. Husband ordered the porterhouse steak medium, it came well. Sent it back, it came rare. I was finished eating the fajitas which were just okay. . So he said just take it off. Server did that but made excuse after excuse ...short handed, etc. etc. we asked to speak to manager. He came over but no offer to make it right other than I will cook it longer. "What can I do to make this right?" I feel they should of just comped my meal so that's what I asked for. Which he agreed except for margaritas. That contest is going on for that! We also overheard, "I wanna go home, don't these people have kitchens." Which we find out after that was the General Manager. This used to be my son's absolute favorite place to eat and I've always enjoyed it as well. We had not been here since before the pandemic because it is about an hour drive for us. We came away extremely disappointed. The place is run down and prices have skyrocketed. If it had been good, then we could deal with that. Steaks are tough and stringy, and had zero seasoning. My daughter wasn't expecting much with chicken strips but they were too hard to even eat. When the sides are better than the main coarse then you know that's a problem. How disappointing!!! For three years now we have stopped in Henderson, KY to fill up the gas tank and get some Tumbleweed queso and salsa on our way home from Vacation. Easily we spend $150 on quarts of the cheese dip because we love it and only get it once or twice a year. Today when we made our stop, I went to the bar as always to place my carry out order only to be ignored not once, but several times. Not by just the bartender, but by two other employees as well. I waited and tried to get their attention for longer than I should have. We will instead drive OUT OF OUR WAY and gladly drop $200 at the Salem Tumbleweed where we will be waited on happily. We DO NOT recommend this place. Just from walking in and to the bar it was not clean, so it may just be a blessing that we were ignored. read more

I wish I had of thought about taking a photo of the meal. Very nice. If I eat inside then I'll often get the center cut sirloin cooked to my request & delicious!!! For delivery of DoorDash or pick up my 2 main faves are red pepper roasted pasta with chicken & cream sauce (YUM!) or a chicken & cheese quesadilla. But I don't like the shredded. I ask for the cut up chunks. Or mesquite. And their loaded baked potatoes are good. My only problem is that so far with every order I've never been able to eat my steak toast with any meal. And I LOVE my bread! That's so disappointing & irritating! They place it inside plastic or whatever they do. I think they've just placed it on top of my pasta. Every time it's just a soggy mess totally inedible. People love to eat bread with their meals. Or I do sometimes b4 or afterwards like a dessert. Please find a way to transport our bread to us where we can still eat it! It's such a waste & very disappointing to bread lovers. Thank you. I like Tumbleweed. Their ribeye steak is awesome and I love their grilled corn on a cob I guess I've never been there when the place is bad like almost al the other reviews were. I recommend it. Go and enjoy!!! read more

If you are looking for a casual family restaurant that is loud, unkempt, and smells like a commercial bathroom sanitizer, look no further than Tumbleweed in Henderson, KY. What was served to me when I ordered salsa could best be described as canned stewed tomatoes seasoned with an inordinate amount of cumin. The accompanying chips were oily and soggy. My entree, the grilled chicken tacos, were served at room temperature. The obviously pre-grilled and reheated chicken was salty and tough. While there was some avocado in the tacos they were majority filled, to the point of excess, with lettuce. The accompanying side dish of rice was also riding on a quite large bed of lettuce. My lunch was memorable, but not in a favorable way. I doubt I will ever dine at this, or any other Tumbleweed, in the future. read more

I went here with a group of 20+ on a Thursday night. I ordered the Talipia with a sweet potato and veggies. It was very fresh & tasty and reasonably priced. The servers did a good job with keeping the drinks full but the meals came out staggered. I was the last to receive my plate by which time some at the table had nearly finished their meal. I got the PB pie to go, it was HUGE and yummy. On the negative side, the AC unit dripped on at least 2 people at our table throughout the meal. Several waiters were helping our group which caused significant confusion with the bills. I would go again but maybe not with a large group. read more
