Food was mediocre, service was absolutely HORRIBLE! Once we sat down, the table beside us was seated 20 minutes after us. Their order was taken first. Their food came first also. We were at the table for 50 mi ties before our food came. Meanwhile the people seated at the same time as us on the other side received their food and ate and left 30 minutes before our food even came. Waitress nor manager came to ask how the steak was, didn't ask us to cut into it, asked if we wanted dessert after we just started eating and she looked at the floor while she asked and walked away before we could answer.she never asked if we wanted refills on drinks either. Just set two down but never refilled my water. Good thing I don't mind eating ice! Appetizer was burnt, quality of food is so much less than we ever expected, and my husbands steak was burnt as well. The food came out pretty good. There was one steak in our party that was severely undercooked, but they did rectify it pretty quickly. The service was good, but kind of spotty. We had to ask for some things more than once, but the server was never rude. Great experience in Evansville Longhorn Steakhouse! Received a warm welcome from Jill upon arrival and were seated quickly despite it being a busy Friday night. Our Sophia was very courteous, pointed out the app starters which were excellent as well as our steaks which are top notch! Kevin the manager also greeted us and this is the second Longhorn I've visited where the manager put the public first as well as running support for the floor, going to the kitchen to keep the food train rolling and offering support in all areas to his employees. Always great to see teamwork in a restaurant and you'll see it here. I would like to submit this review about theLonghorn in Evansville, IN. Tonight I went in there ordering a cheeseburger and baked potato. I would have to say I CAN'T recommend this establishment. The service was terrible and the wait for the food was also terrible. We waited 45 min for this order and NOT ONCE did the waitress/bartender say hey guys I'll check on your food or its coming up etc. When the food finally came it was COLD, we called it to the waitress attention and she tried to say it couldn't be cold that it just came off the grill, cheese wasn't melted and burger was COLD!! She immediately snapped I will get the MGMT. When he came out he wanted to know the problem which he said he would write it off and we could order something else. Who in their right mind would want to order again and wait? I feel if he was a good MGR he should have said he was very sorry and that he would like for us to try again and give a card or something to try to please us. Pretty great for a chain Resturant. They bring fresh warm bread and butter out as soon as you get to your table. Our waitress was attentive and kept our drinks filled. We live in Illinois & drive the 45 minutes to Indiana to eat at Longhorn because we do not have any truly decent steak restaurants nearby. I personally like consistency when I dine out. The steaks are always cooked how I order them. The salads always crisp. Clean place! I know most people are quick to leave reviews when they were dissatisfied (I'm guilty too) but anytime we have had a small issue they are quick to make it right for us. There is one manager especially nice and always remembers us. I am sure many drive across the river to eat but we have been known to do it often. We ate there last night & the waitress remembered every detail even what type of sweetener I use! Just as I sipped the last of my tea a full glass replaced it. The manager even sent over a free desert for no real reason, so we tipped a little extra. When treated like a VIP people tend to step up their game! It's a much nicer world that way! According to the app, there was no wait. Got to the restaurant and guess what? We were the start of the wait. They told us 5 minutes, took our number and told us to wait in our vehicle. We were parked 2 minutes away...not walking to my car for 4 plus minutes . Waited, 6 feet apart, in the vestibule until a rude employee, a child at that, came and told us if we are waiting for a table, to wait in our car. I'm not walking, in the cool wind, to my car, only to turn around and walk back. As soon as she said this, our table was ready. 3 minute wait and they expect you to wait in your car? Some places have taken this "epidemic " way too far. The food was good, but the filet was not cooked all the way through as requested, plus it had gristle and fat...not what I'd expect in a filet.
