We eat at this location every time we visit our family in Chattanooga, so maybe 12 times a year. Today, we had the singularly best experience since we've started visiting this location. Our server's name was Taylor and her quality of service was extraordinary. She was courteous, friendly and had impeccable attention to detail, I appreciated the way she took care of my family. What I really loved was how she checked on us discretely. I never had to ask for a refill, she saw my glass was low and brought a replacement. As I saw her moving through the dining room, her smile was constant. First Watch is fortunate to have a team member of this caliber. Oh, the food was excellent as per usual. read more

We have visited this First Watch location a number of times. Our most recent visit was July 24, 2026 around mid-morning. I ordered Eggs Benedict and when a young lady (not our original server) brought my order, there was only half of the Eggs Benedict and she explained that the kitchen was preparing another half order which they would bring. My wife ordered one scrambled egg to go with her order, but it had not yet made it. After I finished my partial order, we flagged someone down and asked about the other half of my order and her eggs. The young lady (not our original server) said she would check. She returned shortly with the one scrambled egg but no Eggs Benedict half order. She said they told her there was a "to go" order for 27 that had been called in and they were working on it first. After another delay, someone came with a small bowl with one poached egg that "I had ordered." Needless to say, we never saw the remainder of my original order nor did I eat the poached egg which I never ordered. We got our check and left. Although we enjoy the First Watch at this location, we will be taking a break for a while. Disappointing that a "to go" order for 27 is more important at the moment and no one makes an effort in the midst of filling that order to at the very least replace the Eggs Benedict that hit the floor. While we were waiting earlier for the replacement, no one bothered to stop by and let us know what was happening and the status of our order. read more

This isn't my first time at First Watch downtown Chattanooga, but it might be my last. I ordered the avocado toast with sea salt on the side -- specifically because the last time I ordered it, it was so salty I had to send it back. Unfortunately, this time wasn't any better. Even without adding the sea salt, it was still overly salty and barely edible. I also got a side of chicken for extra protein, and it tasted like it came straight off a grocery store shelf -- bland, rubbery, and maybe 15 grams of protein for $5. Definitely not worth the price. The service was also disappointing. Our server asked how the food looked when it came out, but that was it. No check-in during the meal, no follow-up when we were done, and not even a "how was everything?" from him or the cashier. We even asked about the water because it smelled like dirty dog and tasted like fish. The server said it was filtered tap water, but it was so bad I couldn't even drink it -- and I really needed something after eating that salty food. I've given this location a few chances, but unfortunately the food quality, service, and even the water have all been consistently underwhelming. read more

I have always loved First Watch, so of course I needed to visit the one closest to me in my new city! Per usual, I was not disappointed with the service or my order. It was busy on a Sunday afternoon, but my husband and I were seated within 5 minutes. Our waiter was quick to get our drinks and our food order. I got the market veggie sandwich with tomato basil soup. They accidentally gave me the salad on the side instead of the soup, but quickly corrected it. I also got a cocktail (didn't know first watch had cocktails!!), with rum, coffee, and cinnamon. Tasty! My husband ordered the Parma Hash and was also very satisfied! We also split the cheese grits and ohhh were they delicious!! Obviously I'll be back b/c I love this spot and it has never let me down! read more

Went here for the first time today with my husband and kids (3 years and a 6 month old). Our host (who was also our server) was very friendly and held good conversation. I wish I could remember his name for a shoutout but he came from Chicago and has lived here for 3 years. We had a stroller with us and got put in an accommodating spot for that to fit. My 3 year old got a kids mat with crayons to keep her occupied for a bit and because she wanted a pumpkin pancake instead of chocolate chip, I think they were able to sub it and still get the kids price. I ordered the million dollar hash (seasonal) and a caramel crunch iced coffee (couldn't really taste the coffee, was mostly just sweet and creamy). The hash was phenomenal and I finished almost all of it. My husband got an omelette and the toast that came with it looked super good. We ordered the seasonal million dollar bacon but it came out just after our meal did so really didn't work out as an app like we had hoped for but everything did come out pretty quickly in their defense. The bathroom was out of paper towel (we got there around noon so they must have not gotten to replace it since morning rush). Not the end of the world but one of those detail things. Delicious breakfast spot in Chattanooga! Have gone for the previous two Sundays and both times had great presentation, delicious and filling meals. They know how to cook their eggs well. The seasonal pancakes were DIVINE! Chocolate chip, cinammon is such a great combination of flavor. In full honesty, I am not much of a breakfast person. I'm a fan! I can't believe it took me this long to get to a First Watch, even though I've seen them and lived near them in several states I've lived. Plus, multiple people have told me how good their food is. So...today's the day my Son and Daughter-In-Law said they wanted to treat my Daughter and me to Brunch. It was an invitation we couldn't refuse! We started the morning with them picking us up in one of their new cars my Son recently got. We all walked out and...WOW!! it's a beauty! When we arrived there was no wait. The restaurant was approximately 75% full. We were seated at a very spacious booth next to picture windows, which was nice. Our waiter was cheerful and polite. He left us menus, four cups of coffees, then returned with two separate carafes containing coffee and water, plus assorted creamers for the coffee. Sugar packets, and salt & pepper grinders were already on the table. Paper napkins, wrapped with a knife, fork and spoon made for a nicely organized table. I ordered The Traditional ~ $10.95. You get "two fresh cage-free eggs any style with your choice of bacon, smoked ham, savory chicken sausage patties, turkey or pork sausage links. Served with whole grain artisan toast, all-natural house preserves and fresh, seasoned potatoes. Substitute Udi's Gluten Free toast at no additional charge". My over-easy-soft eggs were perfectly cooked and sprinkled with fresh chives, four large slices of bacon that were your traditional fare and the cubed potatoes were softly fried with a bit of soft vidalia onions interspersed within, and they had a little kick of spicy. I really loved the potatoes. A lot of items on First Watch's menu are ala carte, such as their signature "million dollar bacon" at $6.50. What makes them million dollar is they are first candied with brown sugar, maple syrup and then sprinkled with cayenne for a punch. No one in our party ordered the million dollar bacon, but I'd like to try just one piece next time. ;) There were a couple of hiccups with incorrect items on the plates when they first arrived, but they were quickly corrected without taking the incorrect items away, so that's nice to know they don't just throw away food, plus to me -it's more sanitary once a dish has hit the table to just leave it there. There are three First Watch locations in Chattanooga and this one has private lot parking in a large strip mall. There are also a few tables located outside in the sun. read more

Starting with the eclectic decor & jazz music to the regional menu with local products, nothing in this restaurant says chain but the top quality of the coffee. All the servers were personable & friendly and the quality & taste of the food was excellent. So... the food was really good. I'd prob give it 5 stars just based on the food... quality , taste menu selection. Also people were very friendly .... Here's the deal... you ever been to a restaurant that is really really cold inside? It was so cold in here it was ridiculous. I know I could have said something and maybe they would have turned the AC warmer. But it was so cold, it wouldn't have warmed up until long after we were done. Everyone in the restaurant ( and I'm not exaggerating) was bundled up in puffy jackets, one guy had a scarf on. Two separate people I saw leave to go back to their car to get jackets. The roasted potatoes on the side were cooked just right to be delicious. My friend joined me in a big booth located in the middle of the restaurant back beside the wall so we could enjoy our always lively conversation without disturbing anyone seated nearby. This is a restaurant that knows what its purpose is and executes it well. Clean, bright, modern interior, really great service, well thought-out menu, interesting, healthy and delicious food. It's easy to see why it right so well. We enjoyed the smoked salmon frittata inside salad, but I think I would have appreciated some type of lemon or vinegrette dressing on the salad as it was a little boring. The other dish we tried was the Parma Skillet and it was also very well done. Parking looks to be a bit of a problem as by 10 on Saturday morning people were driving around trying to poach spots. The food and presentation were wonderful, but our server gave us no time to order our drinks, 3/4 plates of food arrived about fifteen minutes before the other with two missing pieces of bacon (an added-on side) and the wrong egg, and when they returned with another egg it was not the fried egg we ordered but an over-easy egg and the wrong egg was not taken off our total, our server did not refill our drinks and only checked on us 1 or 2 times, the restaurant was busy but not so busy that they couldn't check on us, and I know the economy is hard right now but prices were extremely high, it could have been much better, but it could also be worse read more
