I loved that they had a set menu for thanksgiving that included traditional thanksgiving food like turkey, but also fish, vegetarian and red meat options. The set menu was a 3 course dinner with a salad, an entree and a dessert. My parents opted to share the fish entree which the staff had plated separately and gave them both a salad. I went with the filet mignon entree which came with a generous amount of vegetables, mashed potato and meat. The filet mignon was tender and juicy and paired great with the horseradish sauce. The restaurant is a great place to celebrate and special occasions. You get a gorgeous view of the city. We came at 4:45 pm and we were able to catch the sunset and also see the city at night. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant moves at a pace that won't make you nauseous as you're sitting there eating your food. We decided to valet park at the Hyatt Regency since it was so convenient and from there it was easy to take the elevator up to the restaurant. We then got the short ribs and the seafood symphony. The seafood was delicious! The short ribs were so tender and the polenta complimented it perfectly. We finished dinner with a dessert of banana sticky toffee pudding. I HATE bananas but love sticky toffee pudding so we gave it a go and it was very good although not as much pudding-ish as others I've had. Took my husband for his birthday dinner since we've talked about going but never did before last night. Saturday evening, they were not terribly busy. Service was good. Bread was tasty. For starters we split a shrimp cocktail and capreese salad. Shrimp was quite rubbery so that was disappointing. Salad was good but the tomatoes were pink, signaling not fresh and ripe. For dinner I chose the filet, and hubs has the prime rib. The Mac n cheese was grainy and flavorless. The food was mid. Not terrible but also not worth the $300 tab plus parking. You come here for the view/experience then the food in that order. This checks all the boxes for a nice restaurant, great service, a unique atmosphere, and delicious food! Personally, while it is expensive, I believe the food would be worth the cost even without the view so add the view to it and it's the perfect place for a magical night out. Such a great experience taking my wife to The Eagles Nest!! Goes without saying the views of the city were spectacular. We went around 6pm in the evening and it was amazing watching the sun go down. The food was so good! I didn't know what to expect but I was very much blown away by my Shrimp entree. My wife loved hers also! I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but it feel short in a few areas. First, let's talk about what makes this place unique: it is a 22 story restaurant that rotates slowly to provide beautiful 360 degree views of the city. It really was lovely; however, it took a full 90 minutes to make one rotation, which pretty much ruined our plans of seeing the sun set. I've eaten at these before that move a little faster so that you can see more. Prices were upscale, but the food was very good quality and the wait staff was polite and formal. Service was a bit slow (we waited almost a full hour to get our salads after the appetizers). It also took about 20 minute to have our credit cards run after getting out checks. My highest surprise was the restroom. The ladies room had a badly chipped mirror, missing grout, and peeling wall paper. For the setting, it was a little shocking to see it in such disrepair and didn't for the ambiance. read more

This is a cool experience if you are visiting Indy or have never been. It does provide a fun view of the skyline. The service was very very slow. It took a long time to initially be waited on, get our orders after appetizers and drinks, and for our food to come out. The food was okay, but there are definitely better restaurants downtown. I was a little disappointed in the appetizers, but they may have just not been my taste. We tried the Brie and the Shrimp "Cargo." I was not a big fan of the Brie, but others at my table seemed to like it. The Crostini that came with it was not very good. The shrimp had a great flavor and texture, but it was a little too much cheese and sauce on top for me. I'm pretty sure bread was supposed to come to the table, but I had to ask for it when our entrees arrived. It was not the greatest. I had the filet. A truly unique and wonderful experience! There aren't many restaurants in the country that revolve around while you dine. What a perfect way to see downtown Indianapolis while you eat. This was a great dining experience. They had a creative cocktail menu and unique list of starters. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, it was so tender, and the sauce was thick and flavorful. The potatoes were cheesy and creamy, and the Brussels were the perfect complement to the dish. The rotating restaurant was a great way to take in the city, I'm sure it would be gorgeous at sunset! The restaurant is on the rooftop of Hyatt Regency. You can enjoy the panoramic view of Indianapolis. Valet parking was $22 for the restaurant use. I think you can also park in the garage yourself for $18. Food was surprisingly good overall but slightly weak on salad I thought. Mac & Cheese was overly cheesy. We were expecting some more truffle flavor. However main dishes were really good. Sea bass was very fresh and cook to perfect with a great flavor. We decided to go here since it's our 25th anniversary and I love the view. When you make an online reservation they require a credit card now and will charge $25/person if you cancel or no show. Probably the best parking option is to use valet, they charge $25 for this service if you are there to dine in the restaurant. We were about 20 minutes early but they seated us immediately. Our server was great and the food was decent. I have other favorite places in town but they don't have the view. Here is what brings this experience down one star. When you come to an intimate restaurant such as this you have certain expectations, I don't want to see people in shorts, sweat pants, leggings etc. There was a table near us who thought they were at a nightclub or something and were loud and obnoxious. People come for the revolving 360 degrees views. The restaurant did turn slowly but it has mechanical problems and had to be slowed down to hardly moving and every couple minutes you would hear this loud pop which made me uncomfortable and nervous. When you drop $360 for two people the above mentioned are unforgivable. I don't know if we will return. read more

The idea of this restaurant is really neat so I had been looking forward to checking it out and it did not disappoint! The slow revolution looking out to downtown was neat, though not much happening on a Tuesday evening! Daytime reservation would possibly be even more enjoyable views which I hadn't even considered! The tables were set up to ensure a good view and I liked that I couldn't hear conversations at other tables. The staff were impeccable, including our waitress Renee. They were attentive and timely with their service and make you feel like they really want you to enjoy your visit. Food came out super quick, perhaps because the menu is so small they are able to do so, but a good selection of items nonetheless. The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly as ordered though surprising not a single seasoning on it. I might be the minority, but a little seasoning to help bring out the meat flavor goes a long way - perhaps it should be an option? Slightly disappointing considering the price tag. The garlic mashed potatoes were super garlicky and perfect! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the ancient grains were perfectly done and great addition to the dish. I found it odd we were not able to switch all the sides for one another (Truffle Mac was an additional charge). I really enjoyed my visit and found it memorable overall. The star here is definitely the ambience as the restaurant rotates and gives you a 360° view of Indianapolis. The other stars of the meal was the fabulous waitstaff. They were friendly and so helpful and polite. I will tell you about the food I had but I don't see it on the regular menu, as I was there for a company dinner. We were offered a Korean or Italian buffet with a lot of antipasto and appetizers served by the wait staff, including bacon wrapped shrimp, bruschetta, and my favorite pork belly bites -yummy. But ... if what we had is any indication of their regular menu, I would say their food is great. read more

We had a wonderful anniversary experience here! There are many places that look the part but the food disappoints. However, we really enjoyed both at the Eagles Nest! The rotating restaurant was such a cool and unique experience that we get to remember forever. I had the beef bulgogi special and my husband had the sea bass which he RAVED about. For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse cake. That was the only thing that we didn't enjoy as it was too sweet. Which if you have a big sweet tooth, you might love it. My husband and I came here on Christmas Day. I made reservations about a month in advance which required a credit card to confirm. Parking - We did valet, its about $30 however The Eagle's Nest will validate half of it so don't forget to present your parking ticket when you check in. She did ask though as soon as we got off the elevator. There is no better view of the city than theirs. Hands down. That is what gives it the 3 starts. The location, the view and the arrangement of seating to ensure everyone no matter the seat has a view. I like that. The food and service on the other hand are just okay. Our sever seemed very overwhelmed and didn't get our drink order right, food order or dessert. Not sure if he was new but man, he just couldn't get it together. I do blame it being a holiday though, I'm sure he wanted to be at home with his family rather than working. So I don't hold this against Eagles Nest at all. The food though, my husband and I decided to split a meal since neither of us were really that hungry. We ordered: 1 Cocktail 2 Glasses of wine 1 Salad 1 Seabass with mashed potatoes 2 Desserts 1 Coffee The salad was good. They were out of the dressing that the menu said it came with but the server didn't bother telling us. I would have ordered a different salad had I known. The seabass wasn't seasoned at all. It was a bit dry and really just flavorless. The mashed potatoes were good. The dessert was good (pineapple rum cake). I asked for decaf coffee and was told they didn't have any (strange). My chicken was extremely dry, but I ate it because I know my husband felt terrible how the experience was going. We got dessert coffee and it took 14 minutes to arrive so it was cold. If you are new to Indy or have spent enough time in Indy, either ways an amazing, fabulous spot for an intimate dinner. We spent 3 hours on an elaborate dinner and our server Burim M was an epitome of patience, professionalism and friendly approach. We don't drink but the non alcoholic versions were excellent, flavorful and hit the right spot - Pina Colada and Raspberry Mojito. The highlight of the 4 course meal was the Almond Butter Rice noodles (yes! Almond butter) and the exquisite chocolate mousse cake. The rotating view is just mind blowing!
