I should have went with my gut feeling and not have hired Juan with Turbo Handyman. He is not a man of his word and doesn't do good work. He begged for payment even though his work was not completed. I gave him a portion to be nice and to make sure he came back. I wasn't happy doing so but he always said not to worry and we'll take care of it. I shouldn't feel bad if he can't pay his workers. I was already stressed from constantly babysitting his work at this point. Then again he wanted another advance payment for part of the job he quoted for the following week. I refused this time and eagerly awaited his return for his half assed rush job. What a mess, and a sloppy job. He even tried to charge me extra for hanging a medicine cabinet when he already said he would do. With that he did a horrible job by the way, see level picture and it wasn't even centered like we asked. His incompetence in this business is not appreciated and I would highly recommend anyone to stay clear! An extra star just for his workers efforts as it's not their fault. read more

Wow, I don't know what happened with Juan! Since my last post, Juan was hired to do three more jobs for us, which he did. Thought he did a great job on all three projects, too. Recently, we had another job for Juan to do for us. So, I contacted Juan and explained what we needed done, which was to replace four brick top caps. A small job. We agreed to meet on Tuesday, May 23 at 8:30 AM. The day before, Monday, I decided that both the brick and top caps needed to be replaced. Although the job was more involved, it was still a small job since it was only one row of bricks (four) that needed to be replaced, along with the top caps. So, I contacted Juan and told him of the change in plans and asked if he wanted to stop by later that day. I also offered to send him a picture of what I was talking about. He said okay, and if he can, he will stop by later in the day or he will be by the next day as scheduled. Turns out that Juan did not show up later (Monday) but that was okay because he didn't promise he would and didn't matter since we had, so I thought, a scheduled meeting for the next day (Tuesday). By 8:30 AM, the next day (Tuesday) Juan did not show up. Thirty minutes later I called Juan and asked him if he is going to show up. He said he is really busy and will be busy for the next two weeks. I reminded him that we had scheduled a meeting for today. He replied that he could stop what he was doing (I think he was in Eagle Rock) and come by. Well, of course I said "no", obviously I wouldn't like it if he was in the middle of doing a job for me and suddenly left to see about another project. So, I said should I contact John, his office manager, to reschedule and Juan said he is really busy the next two weeks. I'm not sure how the conversation ended, but I think he was going to contact me to set up a date. He then reminded me, again, that he is really busy the next two weeks, so I have no clue as to what was going to happen. As of this posting, I have not heard from anyone from Turbo Handyman. I eventually found another handyman to do the job, which he has already completed and did a fantastic job for us. read more

This is an update to my original review. I regret profoundly ever contracting this unprofessional company. Their work is sloppy. On a number of jobs they created issues that did not exist. In the most recent job, in their carelessness they left a Milwaukee measuring tape in the piping they placed. This caused the plumbing to back up. They failed to come out to fix the problem, so we had to contract a professional rooter service to discover the problem. It took a high pressure hose to drive out the measuring tape. Mr. Navarro response was that he doesn't take responsibility since I had to hire another company to fix the problem he caused. Fixing his error cost me nearly $1,800. Do not trust this company. The balk on responsibility and so not care about their customers. read more
