    strawberry matcha cloud smoothie
    Leeza N.

I really enjoyed what I got at Turf today! Turf has a really fun concept where they're a cafe and a workout studio into one. I also love that they have tons of outdoor seating. They have alot of healthy selections to dine in or grab n go. Today, I got their strawberry matcha cloud smoothie. It was a coconut, strawberry, kale matcha smoothie that was really refreshing on a hot day, I enjoyed the strawberry cold foam. The staff are always in a good mood and willing to help. I highly reccomend the baked goods here, even their vegan options are delicious! The chocolate zucchini bread is my fave.

The service here was almost aggressively unfriendly but the food wasn't bad. The side of tofu is a very generous serving and the vegan French toast was pretty good. I really liked the granola topping. Not sure that I'd go back.

chai latte, lemon blueberry scone, and soup of the day

I love that they have the menu on the big board but also on paper for people with poorer eyesight or if you want to stand off to the side to think about the options. Has a very high end, hipster vibe. It was quite loud on the inside because of the connected studio. I was able to get my food very quickly and the staff was very nice when I asked what scone she recommends. I really enjoyed my scone and chai latte - they both had great flavour. The only thing that I have to complain about is I wish they served the hot chai latte in a mug. It was hard to pick it up since it was hot and filled to the brim. I don't know if it's the same for other hot drinks.

I LOVE TURF. As a vegetarian, I approve of this place wholeheartedly. The spicy baked tofu is the ideal tofu texture. The avocado toast on a japanese sweet potato is so simple yet lovely (just don't get the egg it is never cooked enough so that's kinda gross). The greens all day bowl is so nourishing and the sauce is delicious. The bakery items (everyday cookie, pumpkin chocolate chip muffin, and chocolate zucchini loaf) are wonderful. The ambiance is so bustling and open but also intimate. Also, this is so random but they have really delicious water and I love how you can refill it yourself by the kitchen area. I take everyone new to Vancouver here.

    Veggie sausage tofu scramble (vegan)

Really good vegan breakfast, baked goods, and to-go options. We stopped in for breakfast around 9:30am on a Saturday. You order up at the bar and they bring out your food. Prices are rather expensive -- the scramble I got was $19 plus tax. But it was tasty, fresh and reasonably healthy. It can get loud when there's an exercise class in session, as it was when I visited. We also got a vegan burger wrap ($10) to go, which was really nice. All in all, great place for vegan breakfast and to-go items in Kits. Recommended.

Ginger Tempeh Salad, Cashew Caramel Date Bar, Vancouver Fog

Really cool place for vegan and vegetarian eats! My friend and I went to experience the cafe, but they also have an attached fitness studio and a small activewear/merch shop. I had the Ginger Tempeh Salad, a Caramel Cashew Date Bar, and a Vancouver Fog. This was some of the best tempeh I've ever had: the texture was perfectly tender, and it was bursting with flavour. It wasn't spicy hot, but there was a little bit of a zing there that I really liked. Fresh vegetables. They were generous with both the serving of tempeh and the amount of salad. The caramel bar was also amazing - think peanut butter chocolate square combined with salted caramel. I loved the melt-in-your-mouth feel of the cashew butter and chocolate ganache layers combined with the oat crust. Finally, the Vancouver Fog was also a treat. This was a nice warming drink! If you like chai but want something without caffeine or just something a little different, this would be a great choice. I took it with their walnut milk which had a very pleasant consistency. It was very rich but since the drink was on the smaller side (probably about 8 oz) it wasn't too much, and I liked the foaminess of the froth. I like that their food is almost entirely vegan with a few choice ("cared for") animal proteins. The menu has a nice variety for brunch or any light meal and offers the standard plant-based brunch fare along with some more unexpected items. I'm also really interested in unconventional hot drinks (stuff besides your basic coffee/espresso/tea selection) and will be sure to try more drinks from their "Hot & Steamy" menu section if and when I come back. Prices are basically what you'd expect for this sort of place: a little high and not an everyday thing in my budget, but not wallet-destroying and totally worth it now and then. All the staff are super nice, and they seem to work hard to create a welcoming environment. I was a little intimidated by the health club aspect of the place, but I didn't need to be worried - the atmosphere was very relaxed and non-judgemental. I'm also very thankful to them for finding my phone charger when I left it there and holding onto it for me to pick up the next day!

Geeens All Day Bowl with salmon

I am absolutely in love with TurF as a concept with its fitness studio and delicious eats all in one building. We came here just when a class was ending on a weekend so it was quite busy. We just wanted to grab a quick lunch and decided on the Greens All Day bowl with salmon. There was indeed lots of greens in there with a deliciously cooked salmon to complement. Excited to try out a class here next time and have another delicious meal to go along with it!

Super cute store concept (cafe x store x workout studio). Love coming here for their oat milk lattes, and they use Oatly! This location is so busy on a weekend afternoon, I recommend a grab and go situation. Alternatively, if you're able to get a spot on their outdoor patio / lounge, would 100% do that.

    Melissa B.

This place has a cool concept as a cafe attached to a workout studio. Love all the healthy options on the menu, from bowls to smoothies and a fridge of to-go items. I got the glow smoothie which was good but i don't know that I liked the addition of cinnamon in a fruity smoothie and wish it was a little more frozen. I also got the peanut butter protein balls which were tasty and exactly the snack I was looking for. I'd definitely love to try the other smoothies as they have some unique ones and the rest of the food menu looks great.

Great to see a healthier spot out there. I loved the protein pancakes! Definitely want to visit again and try other menu items.

Great coffee and baked goods. Blueberry lemon loaf is amazing. Terrible wifi though. By terrible I mean they purposely turn it off during peak times..

    Avocado toast and glow smoothie

During my vacation trip to Vancouver, I wanted to try this place because they have a unique space.. food and workout studio next to each other. I had their smoothie and avocado toast for breakfast and there was nothing like it! The salad was super fresh and the dressing was just right! You also feel inspired to eat healthy when you see everyone working out in the exercise studio They also had a cute dog bowl for thirsty dogs - 10/10 in this dog owners book

Menu says "house made" but their non-dairy milk - the oat one I had anyway came out of what looked like a bulk bought carton... suss?

93 Coffee Cafe & Eatery is a very unassuming multipurpose space. With its big open windows…read morereceiving plenty of natural light, soft light fixtures, and simple yet modern table and seating set up, it is a perfect spot for a date - getting to know somebody over coffee, espresso, and matcha, a dessert spot - with its various pastries, parfaits, and sweet offerings; or breakfast and lunch spot with its versatile menu of sandos, curries, teishoku, noodles, and bentos. Stumbled across this place while looking for a simple yet delicious Japanese meal to end my latest Vancouver trip. 93 coffee showed up, which was perfect as it was only a stroll and a half from the downtown waterfront area. The location is thicker away, quiet, and upon first entry, it was obviously that somebody meticulously thought of the concept and took great care in procuring the furniture, fixtures, and set up. The staff was friendly but in a non-rushing feeling-like-a-business type of way. So all the good qualities of your neighborhood cafe with the charm of a Japanese cafe. I ordered a hamburg steak teishoku and my boyfriend ordered the Hamburg steak curry. We were impressed by how the patty was flavorful, meaty, but neither greasy or heavy - signature of how it is in Japan. The curry was flavorful without being overly rich. The side pairings for the teishoku was perfect - a mini salad, side of pickled vegetables, rice, and miso soup. Very well balanced. Overall, super satisfied of this latest find. We need to come back to try some of the dessert offerings.

Little Japanese-western cafe inside the Denman Place Mall. You'd never know it was there, walking…read moreby the mall on the outside. Its on the south side of the mall and there is no signage on Denman where all the foot traffic is. The space is quite big, comfortable chairs, and clean. Run by some Japanese people. The menu reminds me of those Japanese "Western" chain restaurants all over Japan, and they serve some comfort food dishes like omurice and Japanese curry. Sizeable menu of Matcha and Houjicha drinks, as well as some desserts. All the staff were friendly and at least during lunch hour, the place is relatively quiet. Service was a bit slow though, and they didnt bring our 2 dishes out at the same time. Food we tried: omurice+hamburg steak add-on - the omurice was quite nice. Comes wrapped in a thin omelette the old school way. They serve it with ketchup. Not much chicken in the chicken rice. Flavour was nice though. The side of hamburg steak was quite soft but flavourful. Did not taste like just beef - I suspect it was a mix of beef and pork. Also had a small side of salad. Overall pretty solid. 4/5. beef curry rice bowl - pretty good, the curry sauce was generous and not too salty. Served with the usual side of pickles. 4/5. Houjicha iced latte. Exactly as it sounds, and pretty good too. Very solid 4/5 overall. Weird location and I suspect they would be much busier with more visibility. There arent many places in town that serve this kind of food so there is opportunity for them to do well. Their food is pretty good, and a good approximation for the stuff you'd get in Japan at those western style chains that are so popular there. IYKYK. Pricing is high-ish but for this area it is not crazy. The beverages are $6-8 and the food runs about $20. I would come back if I had a craving for this type of food.
