What a rip off!! You would think they are selling gold. I tried to place an order and the Spanish lady couldn't even take my phone number properly then I asked if I can get the grill mix but I wanted to replace the chicken with lamb shop because I don't like chicken , the grill mix alone is $45 they wanted to charge me an additional $25 dollars for 3 lamb chops like SERIOUSLY!!! It cost $25 dollars for 3 lamb chops I can get a whole seasoned rack at Trader Joe's for $6. I definately will never purchase there, I tried it once and it wasn't anything to rave about!!! read more

We live locally and visit Apo at Turkish Cuisine with some frequency. His restaurant is one of our standards because it's THAT GOOD. I think the babaganoush is among the best I've ever had. This trip we enjoyed the iskender kebab, and Apo's chicken and lamb kebabs are tender and beautifully seasoned. Apo home bakes the baklava, which is as perfect as it gets. This is an amazing lunch or dinner spot. Low key, reasonably priced and of the highest quality. Highly recommend. read more

My partner and I got food delivered from this spot. I loved the mezze plate. It was large, and I loved the eggplant and baba ganoush. The manti were nice and delicate but a bit expensive for the size, I'd say. The menu was substantial, and I look forward to trying other items in the future. read more

Great little hidden Gem..hiding right in plain sight. While there is no shortage of fine eateries in this surrounding area, this Family Owned Great little restaurant should not be overlooked. Yummy Traditional Turkish Cuisine, nice wine and drink menu, friendly staff, and clean / cozy dining room. ( they don't a lot of takeout too ) I had the pleasure of meeting Apo ( The owner ) who is a very nice guy. I always have done takeout from here because the dining room was less than enjoyable. I understand that it has been renovated, so I'll have to make a visit. The food is always really delicious. I would go there because they made the best zucchini pancakes I've ever had anywhere. I was so disappointed to learn they stop making them. However, the homemade manzi more than made up for it. I'll be back for that. Everything else was really excellent. This place is a go to for Turkish Cuisine. I can only speak to the phone service which is efficient and affective. read more

Came here on a weekday for dinner for 2 and did not require a reservation, place was fairly empty and never got too crowded. The place had maybe 10 tables, but each table was fairly spacious from the next. Seating was very comfortable. It looks like they probably serve a lot of take out rather than dine in. Parking situation is pretty convenient around White Plains using the parking app. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken pretty efficiently. The waiter did not talk too much but definitely knew what he was doing so there was no issues there. I am not the most familiar with Turkish food, but seems similar to Mediterranean with their humus and kebabs and greek salad. Overall it was quite delicious! I got the ground lamb kebabs and my friend got the actual lamb kebabs and the flavoring was pretty amazing. One of the better kebabs I have had for sure! The price is very reasonable as well and I felt pretty satisfied with the meal. Definitely recommend for a quick bite! read more

Yeah so... we came one rainy August afternoon and it was a bit of a disaster. The once decent seating area was closed off, the front counter/order area was quite filthy. We obvy had to take our order to go, and the clerk forgot to give us utensils. I had to run back in the rain to get them - mad annoying. It was only when I got back to the car I realized we had no napkins either. Food this time wasn't as good, and the pita bread was strange... tasted bad actually. I'll give them one more shot when they open the new dining area, but for now SKIP IT. read more

Although the place looks a little run down the food is pretty good. I am OBSESSED with their lamb wraps. I literally dream about them. The meat is flavorful and juicy and the jalapeño sauce that comes with it gives it a little extra kick ( even though in my opinion it could be spicier). I've only gotten take out so I can't comment on the service but I've never had a bad experience at the take out counter. They are a little over priced so I go here to reward myself and I have never been disappointed! read more

Had dinner here as sort of an unofficial Yelp! event and really enjoyed the food. I think this place mostly does takeout but they have a few tables. You can place your order and they'll bring it to you. We had some Mixed Cold Appetizers (Hummus -Tabule - Lebni - Babaganush - Eggplant with tomato sauce) and the Sigara Boregi to start. Everything was great. I had the lamb and beef gyro and it was great! The meat was so flavorful and the pita was delicious too. It was also such a generous portion! I had a take out and very easy transactions at their link. Food was ready in 20 min and very fresh and authentic. We ordered chicken breast platte at $20.50, , shrimp platter at $21.95 and yogurt sauce. Everything is good and we loved the yogurt sauce. ($8) Prices are slightly high. Couldn't pick everything on menu but there is next time as what we ordered was yummy but too much pita bread with our apps made our entrees have eaten and rest is for home . This place has gone downhill. Last night we got the chicken and pistachio meatballs and a Mediterranean salad in a takeout order. The salad was basically large chunks of iceberg lettuce and bulky carrot sticks and a few measly tomato chunks. No olives, mint or anything else. Nothing Mediterranean about it. My husband and I also one of our Yelp elite friend went there for a dinner. As a being Turkish since I move the to United States, whenever I have Turkish food I always get so much excited. So, we started with mix cold appetizers. Everything on that plate was extremely delicious and I definitely felt like I am in my hometown. People were so friendly and so welcoming. We also ordered a rolled pastry in the middle. I had many of rolled pastry but I never had like this one before. The pastry was so thin and very crusty. I loved it. As an entree I had an İskender. came on a whim for a late lunch after another place we wanted to go was closed. inside isn't the most lovely but the food is immaculate. we got lentil soup, the cold sampler and fattoush platter to split. the pita was absolutely phenomenal, the dips all exquisite - especially the yogurt dip and eggplant/tomato one. the platter was a huge portion and perfect to split. falafel crisp and flavorful. food came out very quickly too. we also got the baklava which was fresh and decadent. all in all we could not stop raving about this meal and i'm already craving it again... read more

I wouldn't come back here. First, it was super dirty. The two people behind the counter (one being the owner, the other being an employee) were very unfriendly. One was complaining about customers and making fun of them, extremely unprofessional. The other was very unpleasant, throwing food and complaining under his breath. I wouldn't come back here because this made me very uncomfortable. It was strange and dark. The gyro I ordered was pretty gross too. It was just chicken and a wheat wrap. A Turkish friend of mine bought me to dinner here on a weekday. We ordered a handful of things and everything was absolutely amazing. The mix grill is my favorite thing on the menu. A year later and I visit again. They've redecorated the place (inside only though and from outside you'd never know - it looks a little dipaidated and run down still) and Apo now offers restaurant seating and table service - which is much better. Proper cutlery and China plates ! The food is still excellent, especially the babaghanoush and hummus and the freshly made hot pita bread for appetizers. I tried the mixed grill for the first time. It's the most expensive item on the menu at $39.95, and I was reluctant to spend that much on an entree - however it was excellent. A massive plate arrived laden with different cuts of meat as described- and even though the menu description is "3 pieces of chicken kebab and 3 pieces of beef kebab"...and so on... - but that doesn't describe the size of each piece - which is substantial. Along with a skewer and lamb chop this was a platter that I almost didn't finish. So I felt afterwards that it was well worth the price. They now have two waitresses in the dining room - before the renovation you had to order at the counter and pay - and then they would bring the food to you in "take-out"containers to your table - pretty primitive but it was worthwhile because of the quality of the food. My final comments are that all the meat is a little overcooked from how I prefer it in Turkey.... it should really be more moist, especially the chicken kebab. They could offer more condiments and sauces for the main dishes too. Finally the prices are (always have been) kinda steep ( we spent over $120 for two of us sharing two main courses and 3 appetizers with no drinks except tap water). But it's still a great dining experience. read more

Such a sad state. Turkish Cuisine used to be amazing. Then in the falafel sandwiches they started offering wraps instead of large pitas. You can get a pita, but it is similar to the kind from a supermarket. Ok. We let it slide. Next couple of visits, we noticed the quantity decreasing. This past visit, our falafel sandwiches had more lettuce and less falafel. Spicy jalapeño Turkish sauce? Nope. Now they just have some sort of basic hot sauce. They didn't give us the 'proper' white sauce with the sandwiches either. The tabule was watery. My opinion is that they are either cutting corners to save money at the cost of quality or it's been passed down to new owners and they don't care. I can't imagine this is run by the same people who opened it. They were so incredibly nice and took incredible pride in the food. It really showed. I've been to Turkey and this was just like the meal I had there. At least they finally refurbished the interior of the restaurant. Anyway, we used to recommend Turkish Cuisine to everyone from the moment it opened. Now I'd recommend not to go there. Hope they see this and realize people notice. read more

I had heard good things about Turkish Cuisine from one of my coworkers, so last night I decided to come here with one of my brothers to grab dinner. The restaurant itself isn't big; walking in you're immediately greeted to the left by the production area/kitchen. Towards the back there are some tables to set up if you want to dine-in. I can tell though that they do a lot of takeout since a number of people came to pick up food while we were there. The decor is interesting; throughout the dining area are these lighting fixtures with intricate designs and stained glass - they were very pretty and were actually available to be purchased. The tables were a dark wood and there were some pictures hung up on the wall as well. The one thing I found strange was the lighting in the restaurant; towards the front near the kitchen there's bright tracking while where the tables are there's the dimly lit fixtures. Since the two sections are contiguous, it made the lighting of the overall restaurant a little strange. The menu has a number of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes, separated by protein. We decided to start with the falafel. The app came with five balls of falafel as well as three dipping sauces (one of them being hummus). The falafel was good as were the sauces - the portion was also plentiful - definitely enough to share. They also gave us some warm pita bread for the table - mmmmm carbs. For my main I got the grilled chicken - this was chunks of chicken paired with a side of rice and a seasoned salad; a spicy dipping sauce also came with the dish. The chicken was good - moderately seasoned so that it was paired well with the other items on the plate. Everything tasted super fresh and the flavors worked well together - I was a fan. Service was pretty good - everyone was prompt and pleasant enough. I'm glad I discovered this place, it's definitely a standout on the Mamaroneck Ave strip. I would have no qualms about returning, and I'll definitely be ordering takeout from them in the future. read more

Raised prices by at least 15%, with three different prices: online, printed menu, and phone quote. Even though we called from the road about 20 minutes before we arrived, they didn't start our takeout order until we arrived. Finally, they left out our salad. read more

Thanks to Google, we found this Halal Turkish Restaurant and came just in time before the lunch special was ending :) First they told us lunch special has ended but we said it's almost 9min before 3pm so the owner told the waiter to give us the menu !!! The lunch special menu is extensive and portions are large. I ordered the soup, meatballs & rice pudding ... Loved it and would highly recommend it ... The other two ordered Chicken Adana, hummus and Baklava. All was good but I am told Rice pudding option is better !!! The food is seriously good and staff are really nice ... Absolutely the Most pathetic of places. I placed an order online paid $52. It is Friday night 3 June and it said the order will be ready at 9:27 PM. The place is supposed to be open until 11 PM. I get there at 9:27 and they are cleaning up the place and the Buffoon behind the counter says the place is closed and the lady at the register is gone. He has no idea about money or any orders. Phenomenal!. There is no option to give no star hence the one star. While I will cancel the transaction the experience is pathetic beyond words. Dump this place. read more
