I had my eye on this truck during Geekfest and was hesitant at first but my co-workers who worked with me told me the food here was really good and the portions were huge. I decided to have them for lunch right away and I think it is definitely worth checking them out. I got their golden butter chicken plate and a canned drink. It didn't take too long for my food to be done which was perfect as I was a vendor and only had 30 minutes for my lunch. The food was packed well too, so I didn't have to worry about spills or anything. I was a bit confused by the bread given to me, I was expecting naan or pita bread but it was good. The food was delicious but it wasn't the butter chicken taste that I was expecting. They could have definitely given more sauce as I felt that was lacking and the food was a bit dry, especially for a dish called butter chicken. The portions are generous and easily could have fed two people for sure though. I would definitely try them out again if I came across their truck though as they do have flavors, portions and good service. read more

Today I purchased a lamb naan sandwich priced at $17.99, which was a cost higher than my budget. However, because there were good reviews and a sandwich of that price normally provides approximately, at minimum, 4-6 oz of meat, I decided to go ahead. It claimed to also have shredded paneer (more protein). What I received was what looked to be barely 2 oz of meat and maybe 10 small shreds of paneer. Very, very disappointing. I looked up how many oz of meat one might expect for a sandwich of this price from a food truck. The results showed one should expect 6-8 oz of meat, and that I was short changed! Game changing. 100% game changing. I have no idea why we waited so long to try this... and if you told me that a business existed like this a few years ago, I wouldn't have believed you. Saves us a ton of time with two kids, the food is always anywhere between 8/10, 9/10, or 10/10. And we're pretty discerning in our household for Indian food (blame my mom's cooking reputation). While we absolutely love using T+More and were happy to write this review... there are three small pieces of feedback that I think would make this business indispensable to us no matter what: 1) Switch to using more reusable containers. The bag and frozen ice is a good start, but I'd love to see less reliance on plastic containers, esp. when those plastic containers aren't specified to be BPA free. What about Pyrex containers? There's a $20 onboarding fee for a crappy refrigerated bag. I think we'd have been willing to pay a higher onboarding fee if the containers were reusable and the bag being higher quality and insulated. 2) Just send the rotis that they have at the Indian store with some minimal markup. As Turmeric has made it so that we don't really need to go to the east side to get ingredients for curries anymore, might as well just add the rotis in as well so that we don't have to go to the east side to pick those up. 3) I know this is asking too much, but it's worth a shot. Indian food is great (and realistically, we love getting it week). However, we frequently talk about how this could get 'boring' after a little while, and we wish there were was at least one non-desi option in the rotation on a weekly basis. Maybe even Indo-chinese. If Turmeric 'n More really had "More", I think we'd just stick to this and not need anything else. These are small nits and we're more than happy with the service. read more

If you are looking for home cooked Indian meals, I highly recommend that you give Turmeric 'n more a try! I have been getting weekly deliveries for a month now - every delivery has been without any issue and has been very tasty! The food is tasty, does not have a lot of oil, has home cooked taste. With weeklychange to the menu, you don't get bored. Delivery is timely. Due to some issue at my end, they had difficulty delivering one week. They called me up and ensured I get my food delivered to the new address. I was so impressed. All in all, 5-stars!! read more

I was first introduced to Indian/Pakistani food when I moved to San Francisco way back in 1999. I've since eaten at a few dozen restaurants, most excellent, a couple terrible or mediocre. This place is one of the best. Anyone who says the food isn't good just doesn't have a taste for authentic Indian food. Yes, the chicken tikka masala is different (it doesn't have cream) but it is far more flavorful than the typical American chicken tikka masala dish. These folks use freshly ground spices in house. Seriously good food delivered weekly! My daughter is vegan, and they have wonderful options that she loves. The chicken dishes are all fabulous and the rice dishes are fantastic. Great choice for frozen meals. I happened across this place when I was driving on 99 and saw their delivery car, I wrote down the name and looked it up when I got home. I took a chance as I'd never heard about it and there aren't any quality review on Yelp, and I'm glad I did. The first order is a little pricey as you need to pay the deposit for the freezer bag, so all in all I paid about $70 for 6 frozen meals (next time it would be $50). The portions aren't what most would consider "American" style portions, where one dish feeds four, however so far I've found each dish to be plenty for two meals. There are gluten free and other options which is great, and they are extremely responsive via email. The first order arrived sometime in the morning on Sunday and I put it straight in the freezer as I had plenty of other food to go through, but I finally took some of it out and brought it to work for lunch and it's been great so far. Edit: I recant my previous statement of lacking quality reviews -- I didn't realize Yelp has a "filtered reviews" section which for whatever reason is hiding the other 30+ review for this place. read more

I am a fan of South Asian cuisine and have been to many Pakistani restaurants and I must say that the food was abysmal quality and taste. Chicken Biryani seemed boiled chicken and rice with barely any flavors. Daal seemed bland as well and I had to throw whatever I ordered. Very disappointed. Our 2 y.o. gets super excited for biryani every Sunday night. This place gets our biryani fix every week and we love it. The menu is very well balanced for vegetarian and meat lovers. I have spoken with Mrs Bukhari on many occasions and her emphasis on healthy & quality food is the reason we keep coming back to this service. The chicken and paneer dishes are our favorites too. Very happy that I found this place, I was dreaming that somebody should make a business like this. I like that dishes are tasty and healthy. I was afraid that the meals would be heavy on cream and oil but we were happy to learn that is not the case. You must like Indian food, of course, enough to eat it at least several times a week. We loved the paneer dishes and that there are a lot of vegetarian options (we are not strictly vegetarian but like to feel superior when we eat vegetarian food; chicken dishes are great too!). Our family was able to partially replace home cooking with this service and order less groceries to balance out the costs. We are still complementing the dishes from Turmeric 'n More with salads and grain sides (although the Biryani rice is very good and we buy it pretty often as well). If you are a busy professional or a family with kids and want to save time on cooking without compromising quality and health, this is it! She welcomed me to her kitchen and walked me through her kitchen and entire process of her business. I don't know how many of you have been to her kitchen but I was lucky to see it. She walked me through there entire process.Right from cleaning the empty containers and Utensils in sanitized dish washer, keeping the raw foods in a refrigerated system. They have separate utensils for veg and non-veg (This is for the mental peace of people who are vegetarian), how they cook food. When it comes to delivery of food they have a very professional driver and is trust worthy. Mrs Bukhari said that customer privacy is very important,specially for those customers who lives in a secured community and have code for entry. So she never trust any new or unlicensed driver. They have there own driver who is in there services since long time. Above all,while speaking to her it sounded that this lady knows lot about food. Its not all about cooking but its how well do you know about food. So i asked her Have you ever done any cooking classes or something like that then she said She has done major in Food Nutrition and I was like Wow..Seriously she have a very good knowledge of food. I've been ordering from Turmeric 'n More for a few years now, ever since I took a job that left me too exhausted to cook at the end of the day and was googling around for home meal delivery and found their site. I've never been to India or Pakistan, but love the food, and this food is glorious. Pretty much everything I"ve tried has been at a minimum good, and at its best (which is most of it) in the category of "I want more of this!". For my ~$50 (which is what my order usually come to after tax and delivery), I get 4-5 meals plus pickle (LOVE the home made pickle) and dessert. I started out cautiously ordering the mild spice level, but soon upped it to medium. To my delight, the medium doesn't raise just the heat level (and that just by a little bit, although that does vary by dish) but also the intensity of all the spicing which intensifies the flavors. Perfect! They also occasionally ask for feedback on their food, plus suggestions for improvements/new dishes/any other suggestions from their regular customers. For the past 6 months I've been trying out various meal-delivery systems in the greater Seattle area, hoping to find one that is reasonably affordable, delicious, and has good nutrition, and solves the problem of having no time to cook. This is the one I have settled on. Each week I order rice dishes plus several vegetarian and chicken dishes and one or both of the lentil dishes. The flavors are fabulous. The recipes much more complex than those available in a typical Indian restaurant. The nutrition is good; rice and legumes combine for a complete protein on vegetarian days, and their avoidance of cream and heavy salt is important to me. The meals keep well for 5 to 6 days. If I order too much, almost all the dishes freeze well. I feel really healthy when I eat this food. This week's tandoori chicken was the best I ever had - really moist and flavorful. For several years, we have enjoyed deliveries from Turmeric 'n More. In fact, we refer to it as "Grandma Basmati". Why 5 stars? First, it is truly tasty. You pick the dishes you want and specify how spicy you want it. Second, everything is very lean -- no pools of fat like most Indian restaurants. Third, the variety of vegetables is great. We loved the eggplant, squash and okra. Fourth, they deliver it to your door and you reheat for as many meals as you want to enjoy during the week. I'd seen "Turmeric 'n More" advertised around Seattle, and decided to give it a try. What a find!!! Mrs. Bushadi was amazing- she ensured our menu was focused on my husband's favorite Indian meals, quizzed me on the guests' culinary interest (think "star levels" for spice), and made the evening perfect. I don't think the party could have been better, mostly due to the amazing menu and the fact I didn't have to lift a finger!
