Bowlero San Antonio - Best bowling alley ever!!!

Overall, this a pretty nice place to get your bowling on! We usually buy the bowling pass during…read morethe summer so everyone in our household can take advantage of the fun and you seriously can't beat that deal (2 games + shoe rental) and also depending on what pass you get, the regular one or the premium one (you get an extra discount for food when you bowl, also everytime you go you get a $5 arcade credit as well!). This location specifically is pretty clean overall, wait staff is a hit or miss, there's usually maybe 3-4 when we go right when they open so we get the space for ourselves until the rush starts coming through at around 2-3. We usually get pretty good service whenever we go overall, we just had only one rare moment with a front check in person about some of the rules that we weren't aware of that changed all of a sudden. I understand that if there's some changes with how things are done, totally ok with that, but there's also a way to explaining it to us as we were accustomed to prior to the bowling alley. Just tell us without having some attitude about it - That's my only rant, otherwise it's a great spot! Parking: plenty shared with a bingo spot.

Family gathered for the holidays decided to try an afternoon of bowling at the place near our…read moreneighborhood. It was easy to make a reservation online, but we were astounded by the $56 person price! We called and spoke to a very friendly, very helpful sales rep who offered several specials to consider. We chose 2 hours of play with shoe rental, unlimited soft drinks and 2 drink tickets per person. Final price was $13/person cheaper than the online booking version. We had a blast! We had two lanes side by side at end of the alley. A friendly server brought menus over, answered any questions we had, and took our order for fun specialty drinks. The drinks served were really good! Also available is a nice selection of food options, but we didn't try anything as we had dinner plans after bowling. It was easy to set up player and team names (Dominators and Gutter Cousins) on the digital scoreboards, then we got the balls rolling! None of us had bowled in a very long time, and our skills varied widely. We laughed and cheered and trash-talked our way through the games. It's loud enough in the place that we could yell and cheer without disturbing anyone. Center table between the lanes held our drinks, and the cushioned bench seats were heavily padded and comfortable. Two hours of play passed quickly! We all had a great time despite the occasional gutter ball! Everyone said they'd forgotten how much fun bowling is. We'll definitely be making plans to come again!

Bowlero San Antonio - 40 lanes. Went on a busy night and waited about 30 minutes. Worth it, even though our lane was broke. We got a free game :)

I'd called…read moreearlier during the day and spoke with the owner, Thomas, who informed me that demand fluctuates so there wasn't a reliable estimate on wait times for lane. We come in around 9pm and do the lunar special ($22.99 per person, shoes included, for two hours of bowling). We got a lane immediately and managed to get through five games in the first hour and a half. Five games are more than enough to tire you out, so we called it a night after that. I lost all five, but I was about to win the fourth if I hadn't had the win stolen from me by three strikes in the 10th turn. I would recommend Fiesta Lanes to anyone looking to do bowling in the San Marcos/New Braunfels area. The only thing I will say is that bowling seems to be rather expensive in Texas compared to where I'm from--every alley I looked up seemed to be more than $20/person. I don't remember ever paying more than $20/person for a satisfactory bowling experience at home, but compared to other offerings in the area I'd say the lunar special is a pretty good deal.

As a parent, if you try to use the Friday $5 promo with kids bowl free they won't let you, you can't use any promo with the KBF. and that was not stated in the fine print The front desk lady is extremely unpleasant everytime we go. Today we had 3 kids ready to bowl, we get there at 11am and front desk lady says they are closed for events until 3pm. Their social media had advertised $5 Friday open play from 11am-7pm. I showed her and said "this was posted knowing you wouldn't be able to accommodate?" Her reply was "no we have 2 events so we aren't doing $5 Friday or KBF until 3pm and that she would get the manager". Oh and that she isn't in charge of the marketing team. Once I left they posted a closure announcement on instagram I fear the marketing team could use some training. I do give props to the food court. Great food and the cashier is always extremely friendly. It's extremely unfortunate- I love supporting local, I used to bowl here as a child and was so excited to take my kids here but this was the last straw. Go to santikos or literally any other place if you don't want to be disappointed. It's not worth the money or frustration.
