First and last visit. Don't let that man touch you. If he can keep his eyes open to see What he's doing! He gave me a shot for a crown on the wrong tooth. Most of the injection ran into my mouth. It wasn't even the tooth I went in for discomfort. He went down too low and exposed my root. I had to have a root canal. His excuse was, it was worse than I thought. IT WAS THE WRONG TOOTH! I was a customer for a few years there and had various work done. I came in with tooth sensitivity and was told it was an imperceptibly small crack in the tooth that required a crown. My mouth was in excruciating pain for months after having the crown done, and took multiple visits of them adjusting it before I could eat without pain. That tooth still gives me trouble years later. Also, they are CONSTANTLY trying to sell you on all sorts of add-ons. Every visit, they would tell me there was something wrong with my teeth and that I needed to purchase this or that service or ortho or gismo (that inevitably wasn't covered by insurance) or else my teeth would be irreversibly ruined. After moving on to a different practice, other dentists have looked at my teeth and reassured my that things are fine and I don't need all the up-sells that the Turner folks were pushing every time I stepped in their office. read more

Its easy to give this dentist office 5 stars. Ive been with them easily 5+ years now and they have always been Professional, Clean and all the staff are friendly. I normally don't have to wait more than 5 to 10 min in the waiting room. The work they do is great and with everything that came with the pandemic they took all the precautions needed to make you feel safe. I would recommend them 110% every time. read more

I have been going to Turner Dentistry for nine years and that is why it took me so long to write this. I had a bridge replaced in March 2024, which I was quoted at $3681. The total ended up costing $4147 and in 5 weeks it fell out. I got an appointment to see if it could be put back in. That visit was trip from heck. The office was so packed we had to stand. This had not happened in the nine years I had gone to him. I got in, he looked at the bridge, and then preceded to try and blame me. He asked if I was eating something hard, no I was eating a Subway un toasted turkey sub when it broke off. He then asked me if I was grinding my teeth. No I am not and he could have seen that by looking at the bridge. He then said, "sorry", he'd send someone in to give me a quote. That was the last I saw him! A gentlemen came in and presented me a quote for $9800. So that meant that I was going to pay a total of $15,006 for a three tooth bridge that was not properly done in the first place. No credit for the first one that was done wrong. And if things would have been done by Dr Turner, I probably would have had to pay more. So my advice to anyone is to get a guarantee from him that the price you get quoted is all you will have to pay. In fact, I suggest you find a dentist who is caring with a caring staff and do not return to that office. His office staff was really caring until now. Most of that staff is gone that care about their patients which is sad. Because all of this I now have to suffer more pain. read more

I went to Turner family a couple times. They seem like great people and where you first go in you're welcomed by quite a few nice "add-on" options to your appointment. Want a laughing gas treatment? They can do it for a cost. Want a hot wax hand dip? They can do it for a cost. I personally will never go back because I had them do some fillings a while back. After the fillings my teeth were never the same, I constantly had sensitivity for what I thought was no reason. Went back about a year later complaining about the pain and they said there was no issue. I was on a work trip in Anchorage, AK maybe two months after my visit and I had to have an emergency root canal done. Apparently my roots were in terrible shape and had been like that for a while, so I never trusted Turner Family again. I tried calling shortly after my root canal to speak with them to let them know what happened so it didn't happen to anyone else and never got a response. Left them a voicemail and left a review on google. Never heard back from the voicemail and I believe they deleted my review on google so people could not see it. read more

I like the welcoming introduction and gift when you first become a patient here. I also think it's neat to have a crown machine within the office. The staff are all quite friendly and they are pretty prompt with appointments. But beware, there is a strong selling presence at this practice (done through the dental hygienists). Lots of upselling, every visit, for this and that. And they don't try to hide it because they give you a laminated card to declare "what's important to you" in your dental care - which they then use to sell you different treatments or appliances... basic feature/benefit, need satisfaction selling at its finest. Being a former salesperson I almost laughed when she handed me that card because of how obvious it was! So if you don't like pressure, this might not be the place for you. That's the only thing we don't like about being here and we contemplate finding a new dentist. One more note - the dentists are a husband/wife team. Both are very nice people. But the husband had a very "assertive" hand in my opinion. So if you are fearful of dentists, definitely schedule to be seen by the wife. She's very gentle. read more

Be careful when you set up an appointment with Dr. Turner's office, you need to be aware of a cancellation business practice that they DO NOT warn you about. I made an appoint 4 months in advance, they send many texts a week in advance of your visit stating "please to welcome you" or "we look forward to seeing you" etc. NOWHERE within the texts does it say that we will cancel your appointment and give it to someone else should you not respond to this text, mind you we have been customers of Dr. Turner's already. My appointment was supposed to be on a Monday and I received the cancellation notice on the previous Thursday, that I was NOT told about. I call the office to see what's up and spoke to one of the office staff that was not so pleasant, describing this cancellation practice. My warning, please know that they do this business practice of cancelling without notice. I have ALWAYS had tremendous experience with Dr. Turner, the dental care as been top notch and have enjoyed working with them in the past. I now have wait 7 more months to get back in, great dentist, tough business practice... read more

I should've guessed a place that hands you a "gift" when you come in as a new patient and gives awards for referrals is doing it because they can't keep business. I was called twice to reschedule my appointment, twice to confirm, once to make sure I still intended to come (strangest voice mail I've ever received), twice before 8am on day of appointment again to make sure I'm coming and that I need to be there early. When I attempted to return the 7:30am phone calls I got a machine. I left a message asking to be called back, I did NOT get a call back. I get there early as requested. Sit for close to 45 minutes without being seen while others were taken back. Twice when I asked how much longer I was told "any time now". I was then told well we schedule new patients for an hour and a half. I guess that makes it okay somehow to have that patient sit in the waiting room for half of the appointment time? When I said I couldn't keep waiting and expressed displeasure that I was sitting while others were taken in, they said they schedule each person to a specific hygenist. I wasn't even there for a cleaning, I was there for exam only. I told the receptionst that and she said everyone had to be seen by a hygenist first. Side note, I went to another dentist and mentioned I didn't have a great experience at Turner. Without saying anything negative, the receptionist at the other office said "I've heard about them". If you don't mind lots and lots of phone calls, and sitting in waiting rooms for long periods of time, then this is the place to go. I received no apology, no offer to reschedule, nothing. read more

I never leave bad reviews but I had to after my appointment last week. The workers are incompetent , I was told I had three cavities which I couldn't belive so I went to get a second opinion and come to find out I only need a filling fixed there were NO NEW CAVITITES. I had never experienced something like this before in my life. To add the male Dr made me extremely uncomfortable, the place is filled with young women and one man clearly not a diverse work force and really makes you wonder how this man is running the business. I called to complain about my false cavities they claimed I had but the front desk lady Kimm was extremely rude and unprofessional and hung up on me. I had gone here for years. Services were great until she had a crown done. She went back several times to get it tweaked, while still not being able ti chew on that side of her mouth. We finally went to Shearer Dentistry for a second opinion. We discovered the crown was done poorly, patched with resin, they cut into the tooth next to it while doing the work, & now needs a root canal / new crown. Also, the crown didn't go down as far as it should have. Will never go back here! read more

I went in to get a free invisalign consult by Dr. Turner. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I started my invisalign last Saturday and everything has been great. Recently, I found myself between dentists. As luck would have it, my tooth breaks late on Friday night. Saturday, my husband began a frantic search for a new dentist. After reading the reviews and ratings on Google and Angie's List, we called the top rated dentist in the area...Turner Family Dentistry. We expected to get an answering service, but found ourselves talking to Dr. Turner instead. He not only helped us get through the weekend, but also worked me in an appointment on Monday morning. Most dentists won't give you the time of day if you're not an existing patient. however, Dr. Turner was genuinely concerned and went the extra mile for someone he had never even met. This in itself deserves the best rating possible, but there is so much more to Turner Family Dentistry. I went to that first appointment very afraid...it was a new dentist, I was having a dental emergency, and I generally did not know what to expect when I walked through the door. My visit quickly became the best surprise. The staff was incredible. The whole office was so welcoming. Dr Turner even came out and introduced himself while i was filling out paperwork. It ended up being the best dentist visit I've ever had. My emergency ended up being a root canal and a crown. To my surprise, everything was done at the office in one afternoon. Yes, they even make the crown in the office. The team that worked on me was incredible. They do everything they can to make your experience a good one. They are always offering drinks, have TV available, let you listen to music, anything to make your visit better. They even put the thought into applying Chapstick to your lips throughout your procedures so your lips don't crack or split. Dr. Turner is kind, gentle, easy to talk to, and he genuinely cares about you as a person and a patient like you are part of his family. His assistant Emily was there for me every step of the way. She held my hand and told me to breathe when I would get nervous or experienced any discomfort. I loved her for being there for me. Dr. Turner, Emily, Kinzii, and even my new hygienist Missy were all so warm, kind, and gentle that I truly felt like I was among friends. We were actually having fun talking and laughing all the while going through what is supposed to be the worst dental procedure...the dreaded root canal. To wrap this up, let's just say this was the best dental visit I ever had. I now have the best dental practice available for my entire family of six. Turner Family Dentistry offers every service my family will ever need right there in their office. They are affordable, offer the highest quality service, and truly treat you like family. Not very happy with Turner.... I needed a lot of work done, I am super scared of the dentist, I was refereed by a friend, so there really wasn't any shopping around for a dentist. They gave me a print out of everything that needed to be done. - at each procedure they gave me Halcion to calm me and I would take this an hour before I go. I would have to pay in full before the procedure since I took the Halcion. I was never really comfortable going there... I always felt they were money hungry. I cant really explain the feeling. I would call my ins company before every procedure, to make sure they were charging correctly and what the Insurance company would pay. I would always get a bill stating that the Insurance company wouldn't pay the full amount. I have requested the the billing codes they were using so I can confirm with the insurance company - I wasn't given that info, and asked if they would re submit the claim - Nikki refused. Dr. Turner told me my 13 year old daughter (who has never had a cavity) had a lot of cavities, including 2 very bad ones. He told me he needed to take x-rays because her teeth were so bad. He offered to show me the "bad cavity" on the x-ray & when I didn't see it, he said I wasn't used to looking at x-rays. My daughter was very upset after the check up because she had so many cavities and was scared it would hurt to get them filled. She also told me the hygienist stabbed her in the gums numerous times and the dentist hurt her when he was poking at her teeth. He must have poked really hard because he told us all of her tooth surfaces were "sticky" which means she has cavities in most of them. I got a 2nd opinion from her orthodontist, and she didn't see any cavities. I got a 3rd opinion from another dentist. After examining her teeth and looking at the x-rays, she said she didn't have any cavities. Don't trust Dr. Turner. If he tells you that you have a cavity or you need a root canal, please get a 2nd opinion from a dentist you can trust. read more
