I don't know where to start. A salesman that I didn't ask to come, came anyway for a review of the termite and bug services. A bundle package was proposed and it sounded good at that moment. I never got a copy of the contract and after 15 phone calls they wouldn't acknowledge or address the problem. No one took responsibility for auto charging my account for no change in services. They didn't return phone calls and I believe the business is trying to scam customers into paying more money. I hadn't had a complaint in the last two years of their bug spray and termite bond etc. My problem with them is their non-communication And lack of explanation as to why they tripled their amount charged for the same service. I have always noticed lawns treated by Turner Pest Control too look better than yards not treated by Turner. In Florida, we have so many different types of pests to deal with, that it can be overwhelming trying to get rid of them all yourself (especially when you HATE insects). I trust Turner Pest Control to take care of that for me. I only see dead bugs (occasionally) and the yard is free of pests. They are reasonably priced compared to other local companies. I would recommend them for your yard & home pest control needs. read more

For 4 months I am trying to reach somebody at Turner pets Control to explain me why they suddenly stopped charging me for a TERMITE WARRANTY, first they double charged me for two months and then they just stopped. I have been calling, emailing, and no answer, all I hear " i am not sure what happened, somebody will call you by the end of the business day. I guess they have a 4 months long business day, because as of today I have not got any answer. And this is not my first issue with them. I have nothing but bad experience with them. When I tried to cancel their service and switch to somebody else they have threaten me, that I will owe them money and that I am canceling contract. Update: I emailed Turner as they had asked, and got no reply. I'm not surprised, just more disappointed ‍ We have been using Turner Pest Control in Vero Beach FL for over the past year. As a new development, Turner was providing excellent pricing at a group rate. During this time, we never saw much, if any, improvement in our lawn. Our neighbors had similar experience and had to call and demand the lawn receive fertilizer. We followed suit, explaining to Turner "we could ignore our lawn too, and for free, but we're paying you". I honestly felt as though they were simply spraying the lawn with water, because these are the results we were seeing. We canceled the service, explaining we were not happy with the results. I was surprised when they said we would owe for 3 more months. As a quarterly service, Turner was just here last month and we still owed for the balance of the quarter. The woman on the phone was very polite and explained this to me a few times. I read another Yelp review here that stated Turner was treating the wrong house. Our neighbor was very unhappy with their results, called Turner, and was told the same thing. Could just be a routine excuse maybe. We will care for our own lawn, and treat for pests. I'll know what was done and when and expect to see a marked improvement in our lawn. read more

This is the worst experience and biggest rip off I have ever experienced. Don't trust this company. They Charged me $149 start up fee. I cancelled after the first service and they charged me another $117 on 8/17/21because I still had two more services for Septermber and October which will not get done after my cancellation date of 8/12/21. A few years ago I bought a home that Turner already held the contract on. Just before it came up for renewal, we had a swarm of termites. Being new to Florida and too trusting, I took the Turner agent's word that it was "nothing to worry about," and that the termites were just there because of recent rain, and "they'll go away." Of course, after a bit I didn't see them... because they were chowing down on my house, out of sight. A little less than a year later, they swarmed again... so we set up an appointment. the agent who came out couldn't operate his own iPad, and required me to follow him around to help him take pictures. He refused to inspect the crawlspace under the house, saying it wasn't important. He found of course tons of bugs, took samples, and promised to call back with the results. Based on those results, he would come back to do a treatment. He never called back. I had to call the office three times to get someone to call me back, whereupon they told me the results were nothing to worry about, they would send someone out to do a spot treatment. I asked if they could please check the crawlspace, which they promised they would do. The next agent who came out still would not check the crawlspace, and without warning me because drilling holes into my 100-year old house's wooden door frames. This is apparently a spot treatment. He asked why it wasn't treated last year, and I told him the agent said itw asn't needed, and he confided in me we had a major infestation and it should have been treated right away. I was so dissatisfied I called to cancel. Or course, because THEY delayed in getting back to me after the second inspection -- done during the original serivce window -- until the actual treatment was outside of the service window -- they wanted me to renew the contract for $200 for another year of service. When I got done laughing I assured them I had no intention to renew. Okay, they said, then just pay for the spot treatment. Fine, I said, how much? Wouldn't you know it... $200. Obviously, I refused to pay. The only reason the spot treatment wasn't done in the original service window was because they dithered over a month until I harrassed them into doing it. They have billed me for that $200 three times since, and each time I explain that I feel it's unfair because it should have been covered in the initial year. They won't address that issue, but instead just resend the same obviously automated bill, threatening to pull their termite "insurance." Of course, I can't say I value their insurance too highly. A human being never answers me, just the same automated emails. We have sense had Pennisular out to look at the house. Turns out we have a major infestation that will require tenting and should have been dealt with aggressively almost two years ago when Turner first came out and claimed it was "nothing to worry about," and "it will go away." I have used Turner Pest Control for over two years on two properties. The usual treatment has always been fine. However, I let the salesman talk me into purchasing the Fire Ant Service. I purchased it for both houses for a one year period. He explained to me that they would come back for service anytime I called if I had any fire ant issues during the year. I explained to him that the treatment should not require calls back if the service was any good. I have had them come back three to four times for the fire ants. This, of course, is a result of fire ant attacks we have had. It's too late when they come the damage is already done. Sometimes they have been three to four days before coming back. I finally purchased Ortho Fire Ant product which works much better than the Turner Pest Control treatment. Well, yesterday the Fire Ant technician arrived to check the property for fire ants. I told him the specific areas we have seen the fire ants and he indicated he was going to treat the entire property. Oh how wonderful. RIGHT, This morning I have suffered a terrible attack of fire ants and they were just here yesterday !!! What a joke. I telephoned them immediately when I got into the house and, of course got a recording. And, of course, they are experiencing high phone calls Blah blah blah (everyone is using this excuse) I left a message for them to call me back as I would like my money returned. I don't know if Turner Pest Control was sold to another person, but I am no longer pleased with their services. I will proceed to obtain the services of another pest control company. If I could leave 0 stars I would. This company was going to raise the cost of pest control up to $152 per treatment. This was for outside only. When I called to question why a neighbor whose home is much bigger, has two 2 car garages and has the inside treated only pays $124 no one in that company would answer that question. It is obviously not per square footage. Why couldn't anyone answer that question? Also they spent maybe 15 minutes at the most treating my house and once started at 7 am when it was still dark out... how could he see what he was doing??? With so many other Pest Control companies to choose from I found a great company, Prevail, that spent well over an hour at my house spraying and putting down granules on the outside, spraying the inside, removing wasp nests etc for only $90. Every single time that Turner Pest Control has come out, whether it be for regular service or if we need them as soon as possible, they ALWAYS have an understanding of what to do and work ethic. Nobody has given me the run around and made something out of nothing. Nor have they made my wife feel uncomfortable when I'm not home. They are knowledgeable and courteous and if you're looking for pest control, they're your people. Highly recommend them. I terminated my contract. They refund 3/4 of the contract amount with out performing any service. Called again for clarification, they said someone would call me back. What a joke. Very dissatisfied with their service and cannot recommend... Someone came out once for a full cleanout for the interior and exterior (2000 sq ft house and a 1.5 acre land) which took 15 minutes. The technician performed a quick 'service' and sat in the car for 45 minutes on his phone. My roach problem was not eliminated or even decreased after that visit. In addition to that, I was told they do not have the equipment available to complete the initial service and would come back when it is in, but had no information or estimated time when it would be available. Of course I was not told about their lack of equipment until the tech was done with the first service. Why charge a full fee and offer incomplete services? I cancelled the services after that first visit, since it was a joke. I was also charged 3 separate fees totaling $641 and no refunds were made when I expressed my dissatisfaction. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Turner Pest Control and their poor services. read more

I have been with Turner pest control for five years. My termite bond has expired and I needed to renew it. I was charged the discount rate $670 and this was the worst experience I have ever had with Turner pest control. First, the tech sat outside my house for an hour before he even rang my doorbell. I live in just a little over 1000 square-foot home and every time I looked outside he was in his truck. Three hours after he stated he was finished I informed him that he had not drilled The concrete with the treatment as I was informed when I scheduled this treatment that would be done. He then stated thank you for reminding me I forgot. Concerned I called the representative that had scheduled this and she stated that this job should have not taken the four hours that it did. He also did not even treat one whole side of my house ONE WHOLE SIDE!!! The representative got me in contact with the director of the termite bond and once he came by and he promised me that he would call me to reschedule and that this will be taken care of. Now two weeks later I had to call and ask to speak with him due to the neglect of calling to confirm an appointment to get this re-bonded. When I asked for a refund or a discounted rate he stated that I had gotten the discounted rate and that he won't be able to help me. I then stated regardless of a discounted rate this is not acceptable at all. The lack of the compliance and responsibility of this company is truly devastating. The severity of the termite bond on this house is very important due to termites five years ago hence the reason why I need the bond. Not only is the tech that did not complete the protection on my home he is now coming back out, I was only told I would get $100 back due to the lack of customer service and compliance. read more

This review is for customer service strictly, as we have not had a chance to deal with service techs or anyone else. We currently closed on a new home, which already has a 1 year termite bond with this company. Figuring it would just be easier to deal with one company, so I called to inquire about adding pest control and lawn maintenance services. I wish I had never called. The conversation with a female, whom CLEARLY belongs working in a zoo or really anywhere else where contact with human beings is minimal, ruined my day by infecting me with her negative energy. "what do you want?" is what you ask your toddler when they keep bugging you for a snack, NOT a potential client inquiring on obtaining your services and supplying your paycheck. After 5 minutes of trying to get this woman to simply schedule an appointment for someone to come out and give us a quote, I had to finally just hang up and call elsewhere. She was so annoyed that she had to take this call, and she made it known. I could HEAR they eyerolls through the phone. Dear Turner, your customer service reps are the first point of contact for your prospective clients, I suggest you train them better. These 1 star reviews will eventually run you out of business, you have the power to prevent that. read more

So I utilize Turner Pest control for pest service, Termite service and lawn service. The pest and termite service are awesome. I never had any infestations or any really bad pest concerns, but for seasonal changes and outside issues they have been great. I used a termite bond for my newly built home but turner guard is more of a preventive service which I prefer. The lawn service left something to be desired. I had neighbors who used other services and their lawn was a lot better. So I cancelled that service. All in all a quality pest control service. read more

We have now asked four times for our termite certificate so we can finalize our home refinance. I've been promised it twice over the phone and my wife has never had a single response to her two emails. We have a platinum service and I would think being responsive would be very important to sustain the relationship. #disappointed UPDATE: I spoke with the sales manager for our location yesterday; he was extremely apologetic and helpful and immediately coordinated an inspection. I don't know about you, but pest control is a pretty out of sight, out of mind thing for me. If I don't see any bugs and my bill is paid automatically, I'm not giving it a second thought. My experience with Turner Pest Control extends from April 2018 to September 2020. I had absolutely no issues with the pest control or the gentleman that serviced the home (he is quite a nice guy.) However, the customer service is lacking. While in the middle of a hasty move out of the home, I received an invoice in September for services rendered in August. This served as a perfect reminder to cancel the services, so I called in and spoke to a very nice young woman who said she'd help me cancel my account. The only difficulty in the conversation was explaining that the pest control services were rendered under my landlord's name, and per my lease agreement I was to pay for that account each month. I was assured my account was canceled and I wouldn't be charged further. I explained the reason for canceling was due to my landlord selling the home, so servicing the home on file after that call (in mid-September) isn't necessary. Fast forward to October 16th, where I receive an invoice for services rendered after the call in mid-September. I forwarded it along to customer service with a reminder that I canceled after moving out of the home, and a request to not charge my account but if it is charged, to please refund it. Customer service requested my former address, and I didn't hear back until I emailed again informing them I had been charged and to please refund it. They again ask what my former address was, and I provide it. The response I receive is that since services were rendered on September 29th - two weeks after I had canceled services and moved out of the home - that the charge is still valid since they require 30-days notice for cancelling. To be fair, a 30-day notice of cancelation is required so that if someone calls up after receiving an invoice (like I did in mid-September), they can't stomp their foot and pout about a recent charge. This is quite important since it prevents a company from dealing with chargebacks, which hurts its standing with payment processors, merchant accounts, and banks. However, rendering services *after* the cancellation request then telling me I didn't cancel in time is indicative of a break in internal business operations. Again, the pest control services provided by Turner Pest Control were great, and the gentleman that took care of the home is excellent. And while the customer service is lacking, good pest control doesn't really require much of it when it's out of sight, out of mind. If they would simply provide me a refund of the charge from October 19th, this would be a 4.5 star review. read more

We just moved into a new house. Turner Pest Control was already hired for termite control. After moving in, I was contacted by the company stating "by law, an on-site orientation" was mandated and they scheduled a visit. This did not seem right to me so I contacted our building who told me that it was not a law and was only a ploy to sell more services to me. I did not go through with the orientation and the tech told that I "misunderstood" what I was told. I then received a inspection report that stated I "was a very rude customer" on the report! I have attempted to contact a manager at Turner Pest Control 3 x with a promise of a call back which I have never received. This company has dishonest employees (usually a manifestation of top level ownership/management) and don't care about customer relations as I have never received a call back. They have lost my future business and I will warn all who move into my new subdivision of my experience. Also, the inspection report had a total of 3 minutes to check several bait stations. No way that takes only 3 minutes. RUN AWAY from thin UNETHICAL and UNCARING company as fast as you can. I have a copy of the report that I will keep for proof. read more

Worker did a bad lazy job probably only here for 5-10 min couldn't find any spiders to spite new webs all over my back window and me being able to find several within minutes. Customer services in dealing with the situation was the worst I've ever had. The supervisor was pretty much making fun of and patronizing me when I explained my concern for my 1 year old son and the black widow problem that we have been dealing with, the guy told me that it's something I would have to deal with living in Florida, needless to say your a pest control company it's your job to control pest not tell me to deal with it. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 1/16 between 10a-12p. I called into the office at 11:50 to confirm a technician would still be coming to my home, since my time frame was drawing near and I yet to hear from anyone. I was told by a representative that she was unable to get ahold of the technician's supervisor but the technician should be at my home any moment now. I waited for over an hour, no one called no one showed. I called back, spoke to another representative who yet again, could not get ahold of the technician's supervisor. She apologized and asked to reschedule my appointment at which point, I declined. I called in Monday 1/23 to reschedule my appointment and spoke with a representative named Paul. Paul was not able to schedule my appointment for the time/day I needed so he advised me that he would speak with his supervisor and call me back. It is now Sunday 1/24 and I have yet to receive a call back from anyone. To have a technician not call or show to a scheduled appointment and no one follow up with a paying customer is very poor customer service. The fact that I've called several times to get this issue resolved and it's over a week later is disappointing. I signed a contract for service, therefore, it's only right for their service I'm paying for to be rendered. read more

Turner Pest control missed my May lawn care completely, with NO excuse why. I received a automated phone call along with an email letting me know they would be out to service my lawn on June 18. again NO SHOW! seems this company is not very reliable. read more

I recently discovered some evidence of drywood termites, which really worried me. I had a few places come check out my property, but was most impressed by Dennis from Turner Pest Control. He provided a measured, even-keeled professional opinion and it was obvious that he had years of experience on the competition. Ultimately, and this is the real measure of professionalism, he did not recommend immediate servicing for my issue, but I will certainly be calling him back for preventive services in the future. read more

I have been with Turner Pest Control since 2004. This is not the same company I started with, They used to be there at the time and day they said they would be there. They did a very good job. The last few years have been a nightmare. Services charged that were never completed. No shows from the technicians that are to be on site. No calls from anyone. Services that were skipped completely. This is a clear sign of very bad customer service and integrity. He was very courteous and took time to explain the type of bug, what they ate, where they were coming from, etc. He then helped us identify any food they were after, what to do with it and how to store it. He then applied spray and gel, explaining everything along the way. If we need service again, I hope it's Logan they send. read more

The worst customer services ever. I have bought the house last year in June, got a lawn service and pets control with them, then in September I have renewed AND PAID $260 for my termite bond, which still has two more years left from previous owner. Not even a year later ( April) I have received a bill for $260 for a renewal, when I was told that it will be only one time fee $260 year ago. When I called, first person said, no you are ok, until September still no explanation what the $260 is for and no details about what it's covering, and was assured that the manager will be in contact with me, of course nothing. So I have called again and nobody got any better answers. Wrote an email, nothing, so called again, spoke with Sheavanne, who is extremely rude, and told me, that it doesn't matter I started it in September, I still need to pay in June, .... Long story short, I am looking for a different company. NOT TO MENTION, HAD TO CANCEL MY LAWN SERVICE TOO, BECAUSE THEY HAVE COMPLETELY RUIN MY GRASS, NOW I HAVE NO GRASS THANKS TO THEM. read more

Turner is a local, family run company and they have had our termite bond for several years now. They are exceptional at what they do! Once every three months they come and check our traps, but our personal technician has completely gone out of his way to do so much more! At one point our garage was open and he noticed cobwebs. Our technician came in and swept the ceiling and corners to remove the existing spiders and their residual homes. In another instance our technician noticed wasps making nests by our front entry way and asked if we wanted him to exterminate their developing habitat. This is the kind of customer service I love! Have them to service rental property for couple years. Have had rats get into home now and they are not getting rid them. Can't get back out to retreat when they say they will. Rats causing damage to home and now gonna have to get an attorney involved. Paying for a service should never have gotten rats to begin with. Now they can't get rid of them. We have Turner Pest control covering our house on the north side of Jacksonville and we like the informative and friendly service. Funny enough, we didn't hire them, but the previous owner did and they just came out on patrol and I woke up in the morning to hear the spraying activity. After their contract runs out, we will hire them as their cautiously optimistic field rep has racked up an impressive kill list of Charlie and Ralph (roaches and rats).
