TLTR: Great Staff, Dreadful Wait I've come here four times, and the first three visits each had to wait almost 2 hours. One time I got a text while I was waiting in my car saying it was my turn, but when I walked up they said they hadn't called my name. Peoples names get skipped or repeated. The fourth visit was finally fast (about 15 minutes), but only because I used the appointment QR code outside the door and told the cashier. When being helped, the customer service is good. Worst Turner's location I've ever dealt with. I came in on December 20 to buy a Glock 19 and was told it had arrived and that I could start my paperwork. That turned out to be completely false. When I came back, I was told I couldn't do the paperwork due to the 30-day rule--something that was never disclosed during my original visit. That's either poor training or employees who don't care enough to give correct information. I also waited in line for over two hours (4:50-7:15 PM), only to be met with rude, unhelpful staff who clearly have no respect for customers' time. This store is disorganized, poorly staffed, and lacks basic customer service. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend this location to anyone. read more

Worst place to buy firearms or anything else, first you wait more than 2 hours then starting with their attitude and way they treat the customers, I just gave them over $6K worth of firearms and ammo, they had a rifle and one handgun on sale, in their monthly add, not only they did not honor the price, they over charge me and gave bunch BS excuses. The checkout process was even worse--slow, inefficient, and poorly managed. Overall, this place seriously lacks customer service, organization, and basic professionalism. Don't buy your first or second handgun here. First of all, they usually don't have a great selection, but that's not the main issue. The salesmen are not friendly and are mostly older. I went in a few times before I found the other stores in Burbank. They're usually busy with people buying ammo or people who live nearby; otherwise, most people wouldn't go back there. They will look bothered if you try more than a few guns. I got my first gun there, and it was obviously too big for my hand. I asked the salesperson what I should look for when buying a gun, and he just replied, "They're all good, whatever you like." He never told me how important the fit is, how important it is to reach the trigger comfortably without manipulating your hand, or the pros and cons of the weight, etc. Basically, no help. So I ended up buying something too big and too heavy and got turned off from it. I finally found other stores like Gun World and LA Firearm Supplies. The salesmen are younger, they actually want to educate you and answer your questions, and they don't mind taking out 5-6 types of handguns for you to hold and feel which fits best, while explaining some of the pros and cons. read more

Even though we had to wait a long time, The employees were very efficient at their jobs and thorough. Unfortunately the manager I dealt with that day was pretty rude and even corrected the way I pronounced a brand name in a condescending way. First time purchasing a firearm and felt pretty out of place, but Alexander was great and walked me through the process from product selection, examination, explaining the 10-day wait rule, safety/gun handling, etc. He really made me feel comfortable in the store and already started to recognize me as a customer by the second time I came in to do paperwork. It's a bit busy, but I've only gone on weekends so it's expected. The firearm counter is where all their customers are intending to shop so there's typically a wait, but there's a lot of cool things to browse while you wait for your number to be called. They also seem to have a lot of regulars who they know by name, so clearly have satisfied/returning clients. Honestly, really happy to have been helped by Alexander the first couple times. First I'd like to recognize Aaron (manager) and Alex and Natalie for always being professional and respectful. They keep a tidy staff group and everyone is helpful. This wasnt my first time buying a firearms, but it was my first and last at Turners, lets start with the wait time to even talk to a sales person, that was over an hour, the paper work which at other stores takes 15/20 mins max, that took over an hour, after i finished with all of that i head to pay, Im charged but told it didnt go through, the alert on my phone and back account said it did, But im told it was an error in the system so i pay again, over the course of the next ten days im on the phone with turners accounting team numerous time and im told each time the payment didnt go through, My bank said it did and in the end they said there is nothing they can do, So i had to file a dispute charge claim which takes up to 90 days! Turners were very unhelpful with this. My bank told me it was cause by Turners terminal so they should have claimed responsibility. Come pick up day you have to take a deli number ticket to pick up! Im picking up, why wouldn't you have someone dealing with pick up's instead of making the customer who has paid wait again, this time i waited over 2 hours! then nearly another hour with paperwork, Insane. The store moves at a snails pace, I do not understand why anyone would buy anything from Turners in Resenda. Next time ill go to Burbank, the time driving there and back is still faster then having to deal with Turners. read more

In years past, Turner's was my go-to store for firearms & accessories. Things have changed; and not for the better. A few months ago, I went in to purchase ammo. The salesman said I needed a birth certificate since I had a regular driver's license. Well, OK, not their fault. I went home & got my original birth certificate. When I presented it to the salesman, he said it was no good because it lacked my middle initial as shown on my driver's license. Well, OK, there are other stores that don't hire brain-dead people. I went to a store in Simi Valley with the same documents & purchased over $300.00 in ammo. A few days later, I went to "Burbank Ammo & Guns" with the same documents & purchased a bunch more ammo - along with a Ruger Redhawk I'd been eyeing. I wrote to Turner's store manager about my experience & also enclosed copies of the sales receipts. No reply. I have no reason to do any more business with Turner's Outdoorsman. Oh, and BTW, the wait at the other stores is a few minutes - regardless of how crowded they are. read more

I brought in my unloaded and open slide handgun to compare it to the newer version for difference in size and feel and they absolutely would not allow both firearms side by side on the glass counter. Yes, but it was a Saturday, in the San Fernando Valley, at a gun store... of course their is going to be a wait. People have questions, there is paperwork to fill out, and background checks to do. I thought my wait time was reasonable and, when I got to the counter, the person was friendly and helpful. I had the same experience at the register.
