I used to come to this location with my friend all of the time, and recently this place has really gone down hill. The vegetables in my dish were left raw, which made the dish a bit unpleasant. My friend ordered eggs Benedict, which came with one egg completely cooked, and the avocado she ordered looked like it was almost rotten. Turning Point has great home style cooking with healthy choices and vegetarian options. That being said, the service is horrible. They hire fresh, never waitressed, staff. I have been here nearly a dozen times! It is a great breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. Their menu is large and there is sure to be something for everyone. They have seasonal specials. The restaurant is clean and the decor is simple. I love that you can order a french press of coffee. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. I have frequented The Turning Point - Cherry Hill several times. I also ordered pick-up and delivery during the pandemic to support this restaurant, but the other day my mother and I had a horrible experience at the restaurant. Our waitress, Morgan, was forgetful, inattentive, and unapologetic for her actions. She brought my mother coffee with no spoon and when she asked for one, she never returned. We had to flag down another waitress to ask for one. She then brought our food, and we asked for napkins because there were none on the table and she never returned. We stopped her three more times to ask for napkins, while she was helping other customers and she finally brought them, when we were done eating and she tossed them on the table. We then asked for boxes to go, and she brought one box, for two people. Her attitude was the worst that I have encountered in awhile at any restaurant. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable, my only complaint would be the same as the other reviews I've read- how long things take here, not even speaking of how long the food takes to come out. It's how long it takes for your order to be taken, how long they take to bring out your drink, how long they wait to check and see if your food turned out how you had ordered, how long it takes to receive the check every time. Just had a delicious lunch here and what made it even more enjoyable was the conscientious wait staff. On several occasions in the past I have enjoyed breakfast here - fish tacos yum! - but today I had the cauliflower-flatbread with chicken, bacon, tomato and avocado (also from the special menu inside the front cover) and it was awesome! What a classy place, serving organic pressed coffee, organic teas, REAL Maple Syrup for the pancakes and Sugar syrup for Iced Coffee or Tea (no more trying to sweeten them with granules of sugar). The manager comped them because I asked if they would mind disciplining their children. They didn't and continued. I asked for the Manager and she would not come over to speak with me. I have to start by the place that should be clean at all times, the bathroom!! I got smacked in the face my the smell of pure urine. not good at all.. ewww moving on. The dining area is clean and quiet very small we sometimes have group of 15 eating with us. So this would not work. We eat out every weekend for breakfast all over. we decided to try this place out. well people have hyped it up for no reason. I had the breakfast skillet. no seasoning at all. too bland. the potatoes are not cooked enough they are still hard. I am not a fan of the English muffin and that is it for a bread choice. Breakfast is our favorite meal and I truly don't care for their breakfast choice which is not much to pick from. You cant have a side of pancakes we had to buy 2 breakfast choices which is a rip off. the pancakes are so thin and the syrup is watery and not sweet, but for an extra cost you can buy syrup that is sweet!!!! what!!! yes we had to pay for syrup for the pancakes we ordered. Huge disappointment. our meal for 2 people came to 37 dollars. pretty pricey when I could have a huge meal down the street at IHOP for 24 bucks and all the syrup I want!!! Came here for breakfast to check it out. Waited 20-25 minutes which is what they said the expected wait would be. Service was average. Had the bananas foster French toast which was just okay. The sauce had a generous rum flavor (too much for my taste), and was a bit too rich to eat very much of the dish. French press Peruvian coffee was a nice touch. Kid had the grilled cheese and loved it. It came with a side of home fries which the kid wouldn't touch. A side of fruit or French fries might be better for the kids which perhaps they might sub. This place has a cute atmosphere, and would be a nice place to meet up with friends for breakfast but this wouldn't be my go-to breakfast place. So we have visited this place pretty often, we started as regulars at the Marlton turning point and we're thrilled when we found out Cherry hill would be opening as it is closer to home. We have always preferred Marlton it is friendly and has a nicer atmosphere, also bigger. Before now we hadn't had a bad experience at Cherry hill it was just more about preference. However our last of visits there have been terrible. The first I was left waiting 10 minutes before anyone even registering that I was there,then proceeding to wait another 30 mins for two cold wraps in a very quiet period where I could have probably counted the customers on one hand. The second bad experience was today which has left me with absolutely no desire to return and having witnessed a table next to us complain of the terrible service and another table walk out as they were not seen to in a timely manner not to mention two of our own employees who ate lunch there the other day and were less than impressed. The staff seemed disorganised unfamiliar with the menu and our server especially incompetent, when sat with a 16 month old I feel it fairly obvious not to place a whole jug of hot coffee in front of him and then proceeded to do it with additional drinks and food we ordered. We own a business where we always recommend people to eat and this was one of those places until now. It's a great business model but a business model that is not been ran efficiently, a shame really. read more

Restaurant itself was very good. food was great & the place itself was great. i went here for the first time & i was with my friend who has been here multiple times, & very excited about coming again. Our waiter was named tim. We ordered & it took us 45 minutes to get our food. the people all around us came in after us & received their food before us. My daughter and I went to Marlton location end of January. The only negative I have is the hour wait. I went to the Cherry Hill location on Wednesday with my husband . We were seated in 5 minutes. We saw at least 6 servers bustling around. After about 10-12 minutes of not being acknowledged, I asked the first server who passed our table if he knew who our server was. I said we've been waiting for a bit and no one has asked us what we want to drink. He apologized and took our order. He came back several times to ask if we needed anything. When he was clearing our table, he gave us a gift certificate for 2 free entrees on future visit. That was unexpected and appreciated. He thanked us for coming in and put the bill on the table. My husband finished his coffee and picked up the bill. To our surprise the amount due was zero! I wish I could remember our server's name to thank him! We will definitely be back. That was over and above customer service. Of course we left him a generous tip. read more

Apparently a call ahead isn't what I thought...according to the turning point. Although, another review states otherwise. I called ahead, (90 minutes prior) and arrived and was told it would take an hour to be seated. I was a bit confused and asked why so long, and the hostess said the call ahead didn't really matter, it takes into affect when I arrive....that made absolutely no sense. I left. I have been here before and the food was okay, not the best and two wait an extra hour after my call ahead and getting the response from the host was unacceptable. read more

I am a big fan of Turning Point restaurants. This was my least favorite trip and probably my only trip to this location. I called ahead as the other locations infrequent are usually very busy- even on weekdays like this was. When we checked in we were seated right away which was very nice. Our party was originally 4 people. The waitress (who never told us her name) took our drink order (2/4 of us) and then returned when the third person arrived to take theirs. We then learned our fourth wasn't coming but we didn't see her again for another 20 minutes to be able to tell her. Food took a very long time to come out- other tables got their food very quickly. The meal was good (as expected) but the coffee was burnt. The menus were in need of a wipe. When she came back to clear plates (after not seeing her since she took our order) she dropped off the check and walked away. Yesterday we treated ourselves to breakfast at The Turning Point in Cherry Hill. Although our meals were good, unfortunately, we noticed many things that could be vastly improved. There were a large number of waiters roaming around, most of whom did not seem to have a particular job. Our own service was good, overall, although the young lady who waited on us seemed to have the breezy, dismissive attitude typical of today's young people. One young woman in particular followed another waiter around the restaurant, talking non-stop to her in Spanish. She did not appear to be in training and did not seem to have much to do. We were first offered a booth where both seats were spattered with coffee - the hostess did not take notice of this. We moved ourselves to another table, but we watched as at least three more parties were offered this booth - not one of the waiters noticed the dirty seats. In general, the floors were a mess and conditions in general were not nearly as clean as they could be. Why all the staff is no one takes notice of the dirt? A table of two women who had refused the booth sat at a smaller table, watched what was going on and left without talking to anyone. Our impression is that they were expecting faster service since there were so many staff members. One of their strong points is the outside dining area, which, by the way, was closed even though it wasn't raining. In short, go for the Turning Point's food, just be prepared for mediocre service and a dirty restaurant. read more
