I read the previous reviews and thought what are these people smoking. I go to Turning Point in Doylestown for breakfast quite often and have never left there hungry or felt ignored. Service has been fine, food is tasty and I don't leave hungry. (I am a pretty good eater). They do have a lot of young servers and I think that the change overs during the school year makes for newer staff at times. Give them a break. If they are ignoring you ask to speak to the manager and see if there is a reason for any delays. Be nice and enjoy the food. read more

The manager was very indifferent and displayed neither empathy or any degree of friendliness (well, it did used to be Friendly's). Went on Memorial Day to try it for the first time. There was a long wait, and we should have cut our losses at that point. When we did get seated it was on the patio. With the weather, the humidity was like 95% and it was warm (A/C was on in the main part of the restaurant). It was not pleasant. They should not have been seating people on the patio. We were also next to a ledge that was along the wall of the patio enclosure. There were spiders and small gnat bugs crawling on it. I had high hopes for the Cran Walnut chicken sandwich. You can't mess this up I said to myself. Well it was drenched with mayonnaise. Cannot taste the chicken or cranberries. Out of the park home run. Been there three times since they opened. The staff is awesome, very friendly and engaging. The food is fresh, creatively prepared and beautifully presented. Hostess told us 20 mins We were seated 1 hour later after several Other people who came after. Apparently only restaurant on earth that gives priority to call ahead patrons. Bad customer que management People in front of you should always be first. Call aheads are not guaranteed to show. Until then you wont be able to estimate wait times for folks on site. That way you have a standard wait time for all. Blah not worth waiting 45 mins for this. I could stick my finger in and it was cold. The girl sitting next to us only waited maybe 5 mins for hers. While we had to wait I wondered if they were hatching the eggs in the back? The cheese was already dry and cold by the time it made it to me. Was here Saturday for breakfast. Was crowded waited 20minutes which was no big deal. Then were seated put in our orders and waited an additional 45minutes manager comes over to the table And tells us another 10minutes. 20minutes later food arrives. I did not make a big deal as it was by daughter's birthday and did not want her to feel uncomfortable. How about a percentage off the bill or free drinks or even toast for the mishap? The Turning Point in Doylestown is the best we have been to; food is excellent and Cassie- (sorry - Cassidy) - our server is amazing.... She is super friendly and does everything possible to make sure you have exactly what you want. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed and organized even when it gets crowded.. The menu has something for everyone , and has offerings no one else around has like French Press specialty coffee at the table, all served with a flourish - the plates and glasses are unique! We went for breakfast yesterday. Ordered eggs Benedict. What I had was hard boiled egg on top of cold, burnt (must have been sitting around) English muffin and sliced tomato with Hollandaise on top. How would one eat that? Manager gave me a poached egg and extra sauce to put on my plate which didn't work (instead of giving me a new set). She tried. Our waitress was very pleasant. If I could give this place a negative 2 I would. The only reason for the 2 stars is because the waitress was very good. Food quality was like something I would get in a third world country. No joking around. Ordered breakfast Received cold bacon that looked like it was three or four days old. Stale. Tasted horrible. Two eggs over easy I would give a pass on just OK. Coffee was OK. Rye toast was not toasted. And the bread was cold and seemed old to me. Food quality was horrible unless they change how food is prepared I don't think this place is going to make it. Good points- waitress was very nice and very efficient table was clean place seemed clean, however, no soap in the men's room so that begs the question, are they washing their hands? keep in mind this was a Tuesday and the place was not busy at all. A friend and I ate brunch here for the first time last Thursday. We were very pleased with our experience overall. The decor Is very attractive and contemporary; the waitstaff was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. I had the lemon blueberry pancakes and a side of turkey bacon. My friend had a cheese omelette with regular bacon, which she enjoyed very much. She also raved about her hazelnut latte. I was a little bit disappointed with the pancakes, though. They were chock full of blueberries, but not even a hint of lemon. But we plan to return soon and try something else. Almost forgot to add they have a cute outdoor seating area. read more

The food is always great quality and super fresh. They're always busy, but it doesn't take long to get your food. The coffee stays hot inside the pot. They give you a whole pitcher of water for the table. They also have a QR code on the receipt so you can pay right off your phone, I paid via Apple Pay it was super easy! read more

Had very poor service and was double charged for our breakfast. Alot of our breakfast items were cold and they were supposed to be hot. Our server we could barely hear and she wouldn't speak up. We waited sooooo long for our food and other customers were getting their food before us and they cam in after we did. I did reach out to the turning point and they have been uncooperative in sorting it out with the double charge. Our meal which totaled up at $45 ended up being $71 and that's before tip. When questioned the manager at the restaurant refused to show us the reciept. Very horrible experience all around. read more

Worth the (short) wait! We took advantage of the "get in line option" the first time we went, and used the very short wait to view the menu online. When we sat down service was super fast and friendly. The bacon pops were a huge hit, especially with my kids. Everything was so good, we decided to head back for a second time within the same week! My wife and I tried a few times to lunch at Turning Point. The first attempts ended with us leaving before we were seated due to long wait times. Our assumptions were that the food was that good to attract the crowds. When we finally got to eat there we were very disappointed. I had the chicken and waffles which was inedible. Siracha overwhelmed any other possible flavor and chicken had been refried so many times as to give it the consistency of concrete aggregate. I know restaurants are having staffing issues, but the food delivered to our table was inexcusable. Our first and last time to this venue. Little improvement over the Friendly's that once occupied the pad site. Only the visual esthetics were improved. read more

I went to the Doylestown location today for breakfast with a friend. I called ahead for the waitlist and the girl I talked to on the phone, Gabriella, was so kind and welcoming. Then, once we were seated, our server Lindsey was great from the start of the meal to the finish. We did have a problem with one of our entrees, but they were kind enough to take it off the bill AND the manager came over to talk to us. It turned out the lovely lady I talked to on the phone was also the manager. She chatted with us for a bit and we were sure to tell her how delicious the rest of the meal was!
