After an exhausting weekend at Monster-Mania Con, it was a quite a relief to eat an excellent brunch before the five hour car ride back to Richmond. We were lucky to get in when we did, because this place gets absolutely PACKED on weekends. We snuck in and sat at the coffee bar, and boy, am I glad we did. Our server, Scott, was the nicest waiter I've ever had breakfast with, and as a former Richmond resident, he had a lot of nice things to say about "our favorite city." We were greeted with complimentary coffee (all first timers get free beverages!) and I also ordered an Annie's Lemonade (blended pink lemonade with strawberries). Good god, that thing was sixteen ounces of the most delicious thing I put in my mouth all weekend! That is, until I tasted their chicken and waffles. Scrumptious, well-portioned strips of chicken with sausage gravy and bacon, and dried cranberries. I was a bit apprehensive about them at first, but Scott assured me they were good, and I now trust this man with my life. Each one added an explosive bite of sweetness and tang to this mostly savory dish. It is definitely a contender for the best chicken and waffles I've ever had, but big shoutout to Red Eye in Charlotte and Metro Diner in Richmond (read my reviews!) I don't think I'll be coming back to the New Jersey/Philadelphia tristate area anytime soon, but if I do, I know without a shadow of a doubt, I'm coming back here. Holy smokes. I honestly love this place. For starters, you can check in using yelp. There is always a wait so this feature is a time saver. The food is amazing. The service is exceptional. My mother is one of those picky mothers that think "I could have made this at home" but she didn't complain once. That's a win. My husband and my mom loves the coffee. Ever since we have visited I cant stop hearing about coffee at the turning point. I am very pleased with my experience. Parking is a hoot but it's totally worth it. My favorite part is the sanitary hooks in the bathroom. They allow you to open the door without touching the handle/knob. My family and I went to this place because we were looking for brunch places near our hotel. As soon as I saw the photos, I knew I had to come try it so I convinced them all to try it with me! I suggest you call ahead if you're a big party since the wait is super long! Even though I did call ahead the wait was still long that's why I only gave it 4 stars. The staff was very nice though and it was a beautiful day so staying outside to wait wasn't bad even though we were all famished lol We finally got to sit down after an hour or so wait but it was worth it. Food was delicious. I had the fried chicken and waffles which came with a sausage gravy (I would suggest to ask for it on the side if you don't want your crispy chicken tenders and waffles soggy) the gravy was freaking bomb! Just the right gravy consistency, not too thick not too thin. It had some small chunks of sausage and it paired perfectly well with my chicken tenders. The waffles were wonderful, nice and crispy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. I finished every last drop on my plate. Not sure how everybody else's food tasted but they all seemed to enjoy it. Just check out the photos! I'd also like to mention that they are very accommodating menu wise. It's okay. The eggs Benedict were good but not amazing. I love that they have fresh squeezed orange juice and I'd say that was the highlight. The food looked amazing! The potatoes though were awful. Like freezer burned hash browns. I mentioned they tasted odd and she offered to bring replacements but have them well done this time. The new potatoes came out and they were not hot and the same as the first. It seemed like there was no attempt to make them better and they just grabbed them from a trough of mass cooked potatoes in the back. So, we ended up not eating any of the potatoes. The server was nice but I found it humorous that their fix for awful potatoes was to not charge us for the "extra side of potatoes." Ummm... you mean the replacement for the first set of bad potatoes? Again, it's okay but not a place I would seek out to go again or tell friends they gotta go. I USED to come here all the time. The food was good, service polite and speedy. While the food is still pretty decent it is not what it once was. Slowly their standard & food quality has declined. On several occasions, I have had fruit salad or fruit bruschetta tasting like onions due to cross contamination during prep. This is a consistent issue every time I have been in. Today... First my latte was Cold. Not warm but straight out cold. Then when I did receive my Eggs & Bacon, there was a brunette HAIR in it. I'm blonde. It was literally sitting under my fried eggs!! This place seems to be under new management, because our most recent visit was much better than the past. The ambiance seems well kept considering the amount of traffic (and yes, the wait time is just as busy) They now serve organic coffee as their house blend. What a surprise..... We ordered a veggie omelette and a club sandwich. They took average time coming out. Both were excellent and plentiful, and the price is right. The back conference room was renovated to complement the interior of the much more inviting middle room. Not sure when that happened, but it's very nice. I was on the phone placing an order and was asked what kind of bread i would like for the chicken salad. So i turned to my friend to ask her and it took her a second to think about it so i said the the person on the phone, "one moment please i just have to check with the person i'm ordering this for" and she proceeded to tell me: "uhhh...i kinda have other people waiting on me right now...so is white bread good?" My friend and I came here on a Sunday morning during prime breakfast hours. Two tips:1. you can put your name in for a table in advance if you download the "nowait" app and show up when it's close to the time you will be seated or 2. if you are a group of 2 (or alone) and are lucky, you can snag a place at the counter. We shared the fresh fruit bruschetta which was an amazing mix of mango and strawberry with some mint and then both had skillets for our main meal. Our server recommended the skillets and it was great advice. I had the wilbur skillet, which was eggs, bacon, avocado and tomato but there are several options, including a create your own. I was really looking forward to trying a different type of restaurant for breakfast considering we usually go out to our typical Jersey diners on the weekends. The prices seemed right on point for this type of establishment and I was glad we did not wear our normal sweats/sneakers diner attire because everyone seemed to be dressed in their Saturday best. We were seated right away (Saturday around 10am) in a corner booth. I ordered from the a salted caramel mocha-chino which was delicious! I wanted to try their French press coffee but since my husband doesn't drink coffee and it comes with 3-4 cups, I opted for a different option and I'm really glad I did. My daughter ordered chocolate chip pancakes which she barely ate (and barely had any chocolate) but I'm going to chalk this one up to her not having much of an appetite because they tasted fine to me. My husband ordered the cornbread french toast (with caramel sauce, apple slices, and vanilla bean mascarpone) which was amazing! It was too sweet for his taste, but what does he know? I ordered the Huevos Rancheros which I always order if a restaurant offers them. I was really disappointed all around with my meal. It came on a huge soft tortilla and was mostly just potatoes. I like when huevos rancheros comes with a crispy tortilla so I can pile the eggs, salsa, and avocado on top. Unfortunately, I did not eat any of the tortilla. There was just a tablespoon sized portion of salsa which was really bland, only two small slices of avocado, and if I counted correctly only 3 pieces of chorizo! They also put a dollop of sour cream on top and by the time it got to the table it was already melting which in my opinion reminded me of what a dip looks like 3 hours after being served at a hot summer BBQ. All in all I really only ate scrambled eggs with potatoes, cilantro, cheese, and black beans. Service was also just OK. My husband loves to ask our servers what they like off of the menu. He was trying to decide between two of the french toast dishes and she really didn't seem to have an opinion on either dish. She did not come over to see if we needed anything throughout the meal, even though we were seated practically on top of her station. When she came to see if we needed a take-home box for my daughter's pancakes, we told her no thank you because she did not like them and only ate a bite or two. She did not apologize, but just said "Okay, I will get your check" and walked away. It took 15 minutes for her to bring our check! We were so annoyed by then as soon as she gave us the check my husband handed her our card just to get the process moving faster and to give her a hint that we definitely wanted to get out of there! I'm not completely writing off the Turning Point because I did love my mocha-chino and would have enjoyed the corn bread french toast if I would have ordered it for my meal. I'm curious about how their brunch and lunch options taste and will come back if I'm in the area looking for a pick-me-up and some french toast. read more

We started with dirty water glasses. They looked like they were just water marked from the dishwasher. Then came the silverware. Dirty, never washed. Covered in egg and bits of food. Asked for new silverware and was given another two sets of dirty silverware. So dirty it could NOT have gone through any dishwasher. I wanted to walk out at this point. My food was mediocre at best. The honey hot chicken wrap had no honey hot sauce. Chips were fresh. Salsa tasted like vinegar. I won't return. Sad because I've had a good experience at the Cherry Hill location. read more

Not organize, this time after 10mins sitting they bring water and waiting again and we order. Definitely recommend calling ahead. They don't take reservations, but if you call the morning of, the wait isn't too bad. I went in for Sunday brunch and waited maybe 10-15mins with the call ahead. The service was okay, but understandable considering it was brunch time rush. It took about 30-40mins for the food to come out after ordering. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable when asked about menu items. The food is great! One of my favorite brunch places in south jersey. The seasonal chicken and waffles is one of my favorite (doesn't Instagram well). Another mainstay item is the huevos rancheros. Great flavor and huge portion. I'm not a huge fan of the tortilla that it comes with. Its a bit dry and bland as compared to the rest of the dish. Overall, great brunch place. Ok, overpriced?? I don't think so. I saw a comment that said it was overpriced. I don't know where that person eats at (maybe fast-food). But I got a milkshake $4.50 (same as most places) and a turkey Reuben melt which was $8.50. I don't think that was overpriced. Especially since the sandwich was huge. You got two big pieces with turkey, coleslaw and a sauce, plus you got chips and salsa as your side. I believe that is the side with every sandwhich. My mother in law got a tuna melt, again two huge pieces and chips and salsa. She also got hot tea which you got a tea pot and tea bag. Are bill total was $26.00. I don't think it was overpriced. It looks like all there dishes are big sizes. The food was very good and for toddlers as you walk in they have cheerios for them in snack containers. They cater during the pandemic above and beyond expectations. I ordered a selection of 4 different entrees to share with my family. We missed dining out and having some good breakfast food. They give you so much advice on how to make your food as fresh as possible just like how you would get it from the restaurant. I was so impressed with how beautiful their catering was to take home. How can anyone NOT love this place? I have a different waitress every time and each one is nicer than the last. My favorite breakfast entree is the Hawaiian french toast, with fresh fruit and coconut and a delicious vanilla rum syrup. The atmosphere is wonderful and the coffee is delicious. My husband and I were both off from work today and decided to go to one of our favourite brunch spots. I called around 10:15a to put my name in for 10:45a "call ahead." Not a reservation, but close enough to it. We arrive at 10:45a on the dot and check in. The place is an absolute mob scene because it's MLK Jr day and the whole town is off from school/work. The hostess told me it was still going to be about 20 minutes; fair enough. After about 10 minutes(yay!), we get called back to our table. Our waitress, Farrah, was awesome! Super attentive and innovative. I ordered coffee and my husband had ordered hot tea but because it was so busy, they were completely out of tea pots. So when she came back with my coffee, she explained that it was going to take a while for the hot water to come out- fine. About 2 minutes pass and she brings out a to-go cup filled with hot water and the tea bag- she said she didn't want him to have to wait. Gold star for Farrah! So we order our food and it comes out in about 10 minutes. It was absolutely cooked perfectly. I got a Wilbur skillet and my husband got a custom omelette with Monterey Jack, cheddar, green peppers and bacon. It all came out wonderfully and it was so fresh. This is status quo for this place.
