I really like some of their skillet things. And pricey coffee concoctions. It's just kind of a unique place and such a good brunch choice. Tasty and consistent. But ALWAYS a wait on the weekend. A long one. Which is so great for them... but it's loud and exhausting and there is always such a strong sense of sorrynotsorry by the staff that you're hungry and they're busy. I went on Memorial Day, so the place was packed (so much so that there was an hour wait, though I heard that could be normal for this place...). Benefit of the doubt is that they were busy so that's why the food was slacking, but I'll get to that in a bit... Service was slow. Again, probably because the place was packed, but the food took longer than expected to come out. Waitress was very kind, though. The food was meh... maybe a bit below meh. My friends and I were hungry and devoured our whole plates, but at the end of our meals all agreed it wasn't that good at all & we just ate out of hunger. I ordered the veggie omelette.. a classic, not really sure how this can go wrong. Anyway, the vegetables weren't cooked into the omelette at all. It was as if they made a cheese omelette and then threw hard, uncooked vegetable chunks in the middle of it so late in the game that the veggies didn't soften at all. Not good. The best part of the meal was the potatoes, so I guess that also says something, especially because the potatoes in retrospect were average at best. I ordered a food item from the kids menu but was not offered a drink when the kids menu clearly states one is to be included with your meal. Even burger king asks what type of drink do you want. Second time here and not really that good. The first time our food came out cold. Same problem today as the first time we came here. The hot food was on par with IHOP but a lot more expensive. My iced coffee sat empty for 25 minutes while we waited for our food to be cooked again. Should not be that difficult to make pancakes... Steer clear of this place or enjoy it before they close. I've gotten curbside pick-up maybe five times. The staff has been efficient and friendly every time. The orders have been correct, and ready when they said they would be (like exactly at the time they said). The eggs are awesome. Any of the eggs - the omelettes, the skillets, anything with eggs is good there. I haven't tried anything else. read more

But at the same time it's overhyped, overpriced, and not that great just like all the brunch places that are exactly like it. They all have the same menu items, and the same look/feel. It seems like dining here is more about the experience and the layout/look/picture worthiness of the food as compared to the taste and price of it. The food is very good but even with call ahead to put in my name, there was a very long wait. I'm not sure how long but I think we spent more time waiting than eating. Parking was very difficult. Our waitress was nice enough but just okay nothing special. The place is very cute but I just really hated the waiting. I got the OMG French Toast and it was incredible. The bread was cooked really well and the nuts and marscapone were the perfect complement. We also had a really helpful waitress. Pro-tip: The bar and the tables outside are first-come, first-served. There was a 30 min wait to get a table inside (and a TON of people waiting) when we got there but there were two tables outside so we were seated right away. read more

I have been coming here since it opened and have never been more disappointed in the service and food. We came for breakfast this morning. First, we were told it was a 30 minute wait. No problem. We waited 50 minutes to be seated. Not ok. Second, after waiting nearly an hour to be seated we did not see our server for another 10 minutes. No water. No coffee. Not even a hello. Third, Taylor finally arrived and dropped off a pitcher of water with no glasses. I ordered half a tuna sandwich with the turkey chili. Both bland and the turkey chili was watered down. Midway through our meal our nonexistent waitress dropped off our check... Mid meal. Not what it used to be. With so much competition, the Turning point needs to step up its game. read more

Turning Point is my family and I's favorite choice for weekend brunch. The quality of food and menu selection are what keep us coming back for more. My friends and I like to order their egg skillets, which come with chopped potatoes, melted cheese, and sometimes vegetables, definitely filling you up generously. Their menu has various egg benedicts, omelettes, and sweet breakfast options like lemon blueberry pancakes or bananas foster waffles and french toast. They aren't afraid to get creative with breakfast, that's for sure. My fiance's go-to beverage is the salted caramel mocha-chino, which comes topped with a mountain of whipped cream (and of course a drizzle of caramel). Turning Point's substantial list of teas, many of which are organic, come with a slice of lemon and a crunchy piece of rock candy--yum! I love that Turning Point provides healthier options as well, such as the power grain pancakes or the quinoa bowl, which I can personally attest to as the most delicious health-conscious item I've tried. There is a little bit of everything at TP, from breakfast to sandwiches, soups, salads, and dessert (I've tried the frozen hot chocolate but the chocolate peanut butter cream pie looks tempting). The drink choices are abundant, with smoothies, shakes, fresh juice, and soda abounding. Service is quick and I have never, in my 15+ visits, had a waiter who was not genuinely amicable. The only reason I rank it a 4? It is always buzzing with people on the weekend, which might deter pickier guests. Also, the hours are 8:00 AM--3:00 PM, so it's not a place you can always decide on last minute. A useful tip: call ahead and you should wait just about 15 minutes. I enjoy getting breakfast here with friends. I normally get one of the skillets. The ones I have tried have all been delicious. The staff is generally very good. Occasionally, a server will be less attentive to drinks, etc., but I've never had terrible service. This is one of the worst places I've ever eaten. The wait for our server to even come to our table was astronomically long; water glasses were dirty. Ordered sandwiches; husbands pastrami had precisely one slice of pastrami on it for a $10 sandwich. Asked for the manager as we were sure this was an error. Nope this is standard. He decided not to eat it as the onions would have overpowered anything else. Manager then tried to guilt shame him into eating it stating it would only be thrown away otherwise. Finally got done and watched our waitress walk past us approximately 8 times, ignoring us until we got ready to finally just walk up to the front. Haven't been there in a while but I remember it was a nice ambience, the servers were well and professional. And the food was OK

The decor is beautiful and having french pressed coffee is always nice. And that's the nicest thing I can say. We ordered the vegi omelet and the grand French toast. The omelet was ok, the potatoes clearly were sitting in a giant plastic bin (you can see it in the kitchen on the way to the restrooms) the green peppers in the the potatoes were raw. The French toast came out and was nothing more than toasted bread. When we finally flagged down our waitress to complain the manager came to our table and apologized. She said that the French toast wasn't dipped. We ordered the waffles instead, which did arrive quickly. The waffles were bland covered in a sugar sauce and a sliced banana thrown on top. The waitress stopped by once after the waffles were delivered but never again. While eating one of the employees carrying a high chair hit our table very hard. He promptly said "Oh my god" and then left. After waiting too long for our check out of frustration with the entire experience I walked up to the manager and told her about the kid hitting our table. The manager did make the kid apologize, and it felt just like that. A kid forced to apologize for something he didn't know he did wrong. After that we were done. We were ready to leave and it had been at least 20 minutes since we last had a visit from the waitress. Again, out of frustration and a desire to just leave we went to the front to ask for our check. The manager did not charge us for breakfast, which I think was the correct response to our experience. However, we would never go back. The food is average at best. One other thing that I didn't like that didn't bother my husband. The waitress at least 12 years younger than me referring to me as "Hun". read more

Went here for brunch with my boyfriend on a Sunday. All I have to say is amazing! The French press coffee was delicious. I had the lobster eggs Benedict and shared the Cornbread Berry French Toast which were both excellent! The service is great too! Loved our waitress. And our wait wasn't long at all because luckily they do call aheads, which was a big plus because my boyfriend and I were coming from the Princeton area. The hip trendy Brunch spot for Marlton Housewives to sip Coffee and gossip about.....being a Marlton housewife. I have been here a few times and I don't see myself going back. Service has always been extremely friendly so customer service gets 5 stars but the food is just bland I have had one of their skillets with eggs and potatoes and cheese and it was flavorless, I have also had the french toast which is just ok as well. I've been here a few times for breakfast with my mother in law; this is her favorite place to go. First: call ahead of time and put your name on the list. They have little cereal cups for the kids to snack on while you wait (I can see why). Every time I've gone I've waited at longer than expected even putting my name on the list. Even on a Tuesday afternoon around 2 we waited 15 minutes even though they had open tables. I've only ever gotten breakfast there: The pancakes, waffles are always very good, popular items. My egg white omelet was average. They offer many healthy options on the menu. There is nice bar seating as well. A huge fan of turning point. Have been to their pier village and Brick locations and never had a bad experience minus the wait time. However today at their Marlton location I had a very uncomfortable experience. We were seated in a corner that was full of tiny nats. And when we asked to be reseated the manager got upset and told us we would have to wait another 20mins. There was a table right across from us which we asked to be seated at but he told us it was only for big parties. So we decided to just stay where we were. About 5 mins later two people were seated at the same table we asked to be seated and later that party of 2 at the big table were served. No body else was seated there.... My sister ordered a nutty Irish. When it came it was a mess. Her saucer was flooded with coffee, and the sides of her cup were drenched in syrup making it messy for her to drink from. Also, at other locations we are constantly asked if we are enjoying our meal/experience. Today however not a single person asked us how our meal was even though I saw other tables being asked. The food was good so I still gave 2 stars but I lost my appetite once the nats started swarming my food. Turning Point needs to take a closer look at their Marlton location. Also my potatoes were a little over done but i didn't mind that as much as the flies and the bad service. Hopefully the Cherry Hill location is managed better. read more

I have been here on numerous occasions and Turning point is always a great spot for brunch or breakfast in my opinion. If you stop in and are a fan of coffee, ordering a french press is definitely the way to go. Also the skillet options are off the chain and a healthier/lighter option. Although, I have had their pancakes before and they were great. This place is always packed so coming early or using the no wait app should be a good solution to get around the lines. Also if you were a smaller party you can just walk in and grab an open seat at the bar. I came here on a Sunday morning with my friend. She called in the morning for a reservation for 11:30 and we were seated around 11:45. We were seated all the way in the back of the restaurant, so service was slower and more difficult to get the attention of our waiter. It was a busy brunch day and took half an hour for us to get our food at 12:15- I ordered the classic eggs benedict which came with a side of fruit and generous serving of home fries and my friend ordered the huevos rancheros. The portions were very large and my friend had to bring the huevos rancheros back, but I finished all of my eggs benedict and most of the home fries. The eggs were poached perfectly which is a great sign of a good brunch place; I've had my fair share of going to brunch and getting a boiled egg instead of a runny poached one. I also got the fresh squeezed orange juice that tasted delicious. This is a great place to come with family in the morning during the weekend, but highly recommend calling early in the morning for a time. By every account the food is great here. And by most accounts the service leaves a lot to be desired. We were quoted 40 minutes sat in 20. Others were quoted 15 minutes around us and sat in 45. Moral of the story - quoting wait times is not a perfect science. But is is a science and most restaurants seem to be better at estimating wait - accounting for table sizes, some folks eat quick, others linger. Not the end of the world. Once seated we waited a long time. So we were ready to order when the server arrived. She starting filling water glasses - hubby, then son. Mine never got filled. While filling, she asked for drink orders. Son ordered milk. Once he said that she darted away. Did not finish water. Did not get the rest of our drink orders. And did not get out food order. She returns 12 Minutes later - no exaggeration. The milk she delivered was spoiled. Smelled and tasted rancid. No apology. When we asked why she didn't finish drink orders, take our orders, or fill out water, she went on a 3 minute lecture on how she does not like to interrupt people when they are reading their menu. What!?!?! I think you can fill my water without me losing my train of thought. I'm not Einstein, but I think I can still keep my train of thought...eggs. We walked out. The hostesses took our number and promised a call from manager. We got down the path to the pizza joint a few doors down and the manager in training came out and apologized and said all the right things. But we needed to catch a flight and couldn't wait. We were finally seated an hour later, but only after approaching the hostess/manager multiple times. Food was average at best.
