Poor service. Poor food. This location of turning point is my least favorite. I always utilize the waitlist service they offer....but you might as well just drive the restaurant and put yourself on the waitlist. I put myself on the waitlist at 10:50am for 10-20 minute wait. I got to the restaurant and checked in at 11:00am. Didn't get sat until 11:40am. I could be wrong but it seemed like they were going by the actual check in time at the restaurant...if that is the case why even have a waitlist option? We received our food and my avocado....banana was all dried up. Quality control much? Additionally the service was very poor. But I don't blame the server. It's kind of odd how they broke off the section for the server. They're not really designated to one spot, they're everywhere. My server was going outside then into the room area then to my table so naturally service took longer than expected. We won't be returning to this location.

It's 4th of July so pretty busy. It's good to call ahead and get on the waiting list which reduced our wait time to 10 minutes. They have added a lot of new items to the menu along with their summer menu. Their coffee is still good with several French Press options and cold brew

Even on a busy Sunday we had great service! They were definitely understaffed but the quality of the food and service was not affected. I had the delicious mochachino and they even gave me a Togo cup when i didn't finish it during brunch. Wilbur skillet was an incredible portion as was the sandwich. A great twist on classic Sunday breakfast

Came here on a Sunday morning around 10am before going to Trader Joe's (next door). This is our second time at a Turning Point, the first at this location. Walked right and sat without a wait. Our coffee came quickly and the food was right after. We didn't feel pressured to eat and leave. They offered refill cups of coffee for the road. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!

Visiting Philadelphia? Don't forget to waddle over to the suburbs and check out Turning Point! This restaurant has a vibe so light and airy, it feels like you're dining in a linen-scented breeze (seriously, is that a thing? ). I kicked things off with a cup of coffee that was richer than my cousin's collection of novelty socks! The menu? Oh boy, it was choc-full of breakfast delights that made me feel like a kid in a candy store--if the candy store was all about pancakes and bacon! I went for the breakfast combo, which included a Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. It was like the Avengers of breakfast on my plate! ‍ And let's not forget about the berry smoothie I tried--it was so fresh, I half-expected it to start singing! My friend opted for the oatmeal, which was served in a bowl big enough to hold a small family reunion. Seriously, it looked like the kind of bowl you'd bring to a soup kitchen! We sat at the bar and were served by Allison, who was like the breakfast fairy! ‍ She was super knowledgeable, friendly, and just all-around pleasant--like a warm hug in human form. We'd definitely sit in her section again and again, like a sitcom that never gets old! If you're in the area, I highly recommend this breakfast spot for a deliciously fun start to your day!

Sunday morning brunch time- Place is packed!!! I ordered cold brew coffee and my partner ordered OJ. We ordered huevos rancheros and key west omelette. Tasted like sour cream that went bad. I hope it wasn't. I'm just not sour cream person. It was different than I remembered. Visual was good and the server was attentive Food could be better though

This is the 3rd time coming here, and once again had a great breakfast! Ordered the pumpkin pancakes, which were fabulous, and a side of potatoes, which do have good seasoning. Service was efficient and the waiter was friendly. I was there fairly early so it was nice and quiet with only a handful of people inside, which I prefer. Overall excellent experience.

This place we happened to stop by during a winter storm a couple years ago. To our surprise it was a quant local cafe that closes at 3pm daily. We stumbled upon it and have not looked back since. The staff is always happy and smiling. Not to mention they are known for their chicken salad!! We thought they only had one restaurant but they actually have a couple around PA and are opening up more and more. We just found out they are franchising so maybe it will be in your area soon. I got the peanut butter hot chocolate it is to die for with a vanilla chia tea. I went this time for a pick two with the famous chicken salad sandwich and a salad. My mom had the omelet which she said wow yum need to get it more often. We have not been back for awhile due to covid but the weather is getting nicer and everything is opening up so this will be a regular spot for sure. They have a rewards program you sign up with your email and you get a free entree in your bday month. Who gives you a free meal? Their menu has so much to choose from you can't go wrong.

First time here in a little over a year. Used to be a favorite brunch spot of mine. Service and atmosphere is always great. My favorite smoked salmon Benedict wasn't on the menu but things change. I got the avocado smash Benedict that was good but was a bit cold when it got to the table unfortunately. Morning potato recipe had changed as well to a more diner style potatoes that are softer and seasoned differently. Overall a good experience.

Vegan egg. Didn't eat that toast coz it had butter.

Amazing vegan pancakes and vegan veggie omelette using just egg no cheese. Although they made a mistake of giving me vegan omelette without vegetables so they gave me another one that's why I have 2 pictures. COMPARE THE DIFFERENT OMELETTES. The new omelette with veggies is just like a real omelette with real eggs it's scary it feels like they gave me real eggs but the waiter said it's vegan. Waitress was very busy so I can't keep on asking her. I'm very skeptical about it. It felt like I was eating veggie omelette with real eggs. Love the area and the vibe of this location. There was a wait on the tables so we sat at the bar which is nice too... love their soy latte as well.. so fresh.. vegan omelette came with toast but it had butter so I didn't eat it. Clean bathrooms.

After looking at the review, we decided to try it out. It's a nice venue - it was very quiet and had a relaxed vibe. We had recently gone to Hymie's Deli (Merion Station) and the noise level there was a little deafening. Several of the reviews on Pumpernick's mentioned the Challah French Toast...many quite favorably. We decided to order that and the Veggie Omelette, sharing each. I love Challah French Toast, I make it once a week. I perfected my recipe in college working at a breakfast-lunch restaurant near campus. It all starts with the challah - we had a bakery in Youngstown that made the lightest, fluffiest and tastiest challah. The owner insisted we use only butter in the pan when grilling the French Toast. It wasn't rocket science. Somehow, Pumpernick's missed the mark. It looked very appetizing when the dish arrived, but as soon as I tried to cut a piece, I immediately knew it wasn't 'light and fluffy'. Just the opposite - it was probably the 'heaviest' and dense French Toast I've had. It tasted good - was grilled perfectly - and after a few bites, the texture didn't seem 'so bad', but it was. As I said I make French Toast with challahs (once a week) from Rolings Bakery to Whole Foods to Famous 4th Deli, and it's never near as dense and thick as the French Toast at Pumpernick's. I would guess it's the challah, not the preparation of the French Toast - but I'm not sure. Which brings me to where the challah is from - I asked - it's from Jeff Solomon Inc, a bakery in Elkins Park, that's been in business about 30 years. Enough about the French Toast, let's talk about the Veggie Omelette, which was delicious! I routinely make omelettes, with vegetables, and this omelette was as tasty as any I've made. There were onions, orange peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes, and both my partner and I were surprised at how much flavor the veggies had! The omelette itself was light and fluffy; it was delightful! There were hash brown potatoes served with the omelette which were cooked perfectly - crispy exterior with a tender and great potato taste. There was a cinnamon raisin bagel that also came with the omelette which was very good. We enjoyed our breakfast notwithstanding the Challah French Toast - on our return - I'll try the pancakes.

The left wall was full of wooden racks loaded with beautiful loaves of bread. They were large and extremely tempting. As I was there 30 minutes before closing, they didn't have a full panoply of their creations, but still enough to satisfy me. One of the women behind the counters attended to me, advising what was still available. She first mentioned a half load of sliced rye, which I immediately said, "yes," to. The aroma was strong and I knew I would love it toasted with butter and jam. She next suggested their dinner rolls, of which she bagged a dozen mixed grains, but only charged me for six. She knew what she wanted to sell while fresh, and which would have longer shelf life until the next day. I also grabbed a few large peanut butter cookies to sample later with coffee. Hearth Baker had no pastry, so I wasn't distracted by cakes, pies or other sweet possibilities. I didn't see those sandwiches mentioned by others, but anything stuffed between their bread/rolls would have to be great. What I did buy was excellent. The rye had a slightly sweet, yet grainy savoriness that was delicious, both fresh and toasted. Perfect for sandwiches or accompanying soup. The rolls were also quite good, with semolina and other light/dark flours to modify their flavors. Also terrific just sliced and buttered and ripped apart by my incisors. Those peanut butter cookies were also awesome. A little crisp on the edges, yet chewy toward the middle. Plenty of PB taste. The Hearth Baker would be a great place to learn the artisan craft of baking breads.
