On a chilly day, we found ourselves craving a warm beverage to take the edge off, so we decided to stop at Lola's Café for a little dose of caffeine. We were warmly greeted when we walked in and felt no pressure to order immediately My husband and son both ordered coffees and were very pleased with their choices. I decided to go for a tea drink, and I must say, it was a very nice tea. For such a small shop, Lola's boasts an amazing variety of drink offerings. The interior itself is small but clean and comfortable, making it a perfect spot to warm up and enjoy a hot drink. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality and selection at Lola's. It's a charming little place that we'll definitely be visiting again. read more

I don't get it. Cheap quality food, poorly made, and a grubby environment with no restroom. The menu looks like a high schooler came up with it - nothing interesting at all. I had the "avocado toast" which was a very lightly toasted piece of bread with store bought guacamole on it, and two slices of unripe tomatoes with the cores in them. My egg was cooked correctly. The "toast" was absolute mush everywhere except the very outer edge. The table was sticky and felt dirty. The baseboards are coated with stuck on dust and dirt. No air either, so the door stays open to the loud and constant traffic on Lincoln. Definitely will not be back. read more

We found this place online, saw that they served breakfast, and decided to stop on the way out of town. We walked in and thought it was just a coffee shop, only to find bubble tea paintings on the wall. I half expected microwaved food. I could not have been more wrong! They gave us one of the most delicious meals we had on the peninsula, they were incredibly friendly and delivered to our table. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and the eggs were (please don't tell her) better than my grandmas, it was absolutely incredible. If I ever return to port Angeles and don't stop at Lola's again, I'd be committing a crime! read more

Don't skip out on this place! Understated, but DELICIOUS. (Passing through Port Angeles on our way to Olympic) We've never had better breakfast potatoes, I'm not kidding. Husband and wife duo own it. "I'm in the front, he's in the back." So cute. It's like they're cooking for you in their home. We wish we didn't live on the east side of the country or this would be a staple for us. If only I came here for breakfast when they serve the classic Filipino breakfast: sausage, fried eggs and rice! But I'm glad we still came here to check out this cafe in Port Angeles. When we arrived to town, we wanted to get some coffee after the long drive, so found Lola's Cafe. I read the reviews about the Filipino breakfast, so wanted to come by this place, just to see what other Filipino delicacies they have. They have lumpia! The family who runs Lola's was really friendly. I ordered a taro milk tea, and they added two shots of espresso for me, as I told them I really needed some caffeine. The coffee they use here is Sequim's Rainshadow Coffee. Since I ordered my drink hot, it had a nice coconut-y flavor from the warm taro with the espresso. It was solid and what I needed. But they have a long menu of different coffee drinks and bubble teas, in addition to food items. Glad to have checked it out while in Port Angeles. read more

Wanted to grab a quick bite to eat for breakfast before a road trip and WOW! I was so surprised! This place had the best breakfast sandwhich I've ever had in my life. No jokes! I got the croissant sandwich with eggs, cheese and bacon. The croissant was so buttery and soft and the bacon was nice a crispy, you can tell it was made with lots of love. I was going to take a picture but I inhaled it so fast and forgot to take a picture. I also got the Taro boba and it was absolutely delicious! read more

Lovely hole-in-the-wall in Port Angeles. We got a tuna melt and an egg sandwich. I loved the tuna melt, and my partner loved the egg sandwich. We also split a taro boba, which was lovely. Reasonable prices, too! Definitely happy with this place. read more

Pretty sure this restaurant is owned by Someone from the Philippines or someone who loves Filipino food because the menu had a lot of items from the Philippines. Also the drinks were definitely Asian inspired. The breakfast burrito was phenomenal, and as a cafe chosen at random while driving by became a wonderful surprise. On the menu their scrambled egg options can all be converted to breakfast burritos which is what I did. The service was also wonderful. read more

Cute place in town that offers not just coffee, but boba drinks and Filipino food! Craved for some Filipino Breakfast today. Glad my mom mentioned this place because I initially only wanted breakfast sausage. Instead we left with the whole works and a yummy boba drink! This place also has a lunch menu that offers hot/cold sandwich, salad, soup and even pastries! On the previous review where the princess who liked to be "serve" obviously has NOT travelled outside her little boondocks area. Seeing that there ARE ACTUALLY A LOT of places in this beautiful world that have you serving your own self/table! That's right folks! Self bussing table! Often, you're expected to take your dishes and put them in a bus tub elsewhere in the restaurant after you finish eating. Wake up "princess Elizabeth!" you visited a cafe in rural PA not a Shangri-La! This cute little cafe may not have a restroom and have you bussing yourself, but get real! I think this place is great, I definitely recommend :) Lola's is a charming little cafe, with great food, and service. I will say it can get expensive for what they offer, but I've never had any bad food, or drink here! The owner is so sweet and the ambiance makes me feel so relaxed, the boba drinks are AMAZING! But definitely more of a special treat for me since they are a little pricey. Overall love it here, and definitely would go for breakfast here again. read more

I just had lunch from Lola's Cafe and it was wonderful! I had grilled cheese (made with four kinds of cheese) with added bacon, which came with potato chips, and a peach smoothie. As much as I'd like to, I can't give five stars, because the smoothie had kind of a strange taste to it, and was really thin. Also, it comes with a sealed plastic top that you're supposed to poke the straw through. However, if you're in your 40's and don't know about such newfangled things, it would be nice to have instructions to that, and not have to figure it out by struggling to get the plastic off the top and finally figuring out that it's not supposed to come off when you can't get the stupid thing off. The potato chips were ordinary and actually maybe slightly stale, but I didn't care about fries or chips anyway. I was in it for the sandwich, and boy did that deliver! The cheese, the bacon, the texture of the bread, it was all perfect! I'll be back to try the pesto grilled cheese sandwich next time. read more

Quick stop for a coffee break after a short hike. The coffee was great. We got salted cream cold ice coffee. Strong and fragrant. Also decided to get some snacks for the next hike. Got the zucchini carrot cake, very moist and tasty. You can taste the raisin. We also tried the taro sticky rice. amazing!! It was soft and warm, not too sweet. No frills coffee shop. That said, I was surprised by how delicious the tuna melt sandwich was! It was so tasty and the sourdough bread was so toasty from the parmesan cheese on the outside! I went in wanting a turkey melt but they didn't have that because the online menu was outdated. Nonetheless, I was happy with my sandwich. Glad we found this place after a long day at Olympic National Park. Really hit the spot! read more

Such a cute place to stop by for a drink! They've got wonderful boba and paninis. I enjoy sitting at the window seat and watching people go by. My favorite flavor of boba that they have is taro. I love going to Lola's this a wonderful little establishment... The owner is super sweet was there a week ago for 2 drink and and a bite to eat for my son and I and completely for got to leave a review. Called in my order today for 4 drinks and I'm never disappointed. Always delicious drinks are never overly sweet we are give the option to do a milk alternative for my daughter and my stomach. Always clean. Food is always fresh. And sincere service! Lola's is always worth the park or a quick walk. Lots of fresh new drinks and snacks. This is not a full service restaurant. It's a cafe. Ice cold water is on a nice stand with napkins for you. Lola herself will serve you their food and busts tables. I love stopping by to say and and grabbing a snack and coffee to go. read more

Incredible! My friend and I walked in a few minutes after closing and were welcomed in. Didn't have enough cash for two bubble teas so we bought one, and she didn't even make us pay full price for it. We were then given two free cookies (that were quite large as well!) and had a wonderful conversation with Lola. We were in there for close to an hour, and enjoyed every minute of it! The red bean bubble tea was delicious. Would 1000% go back in regularly. I would give this place ten stars if I could! read more

Amazing food and coffee. I got the breakfast sandwich and a mocha. My wife got the skillet scramble and the taro macchiato. In my heart it's a 4.5, my wife got her drink at least 5 minutes before me and when I got mine it wasn't the size I ordered. However, everyone has their face covered, so things happen. Basically it was a blueberry vanilla lavender matcha latte, made fog-style. I LOVE a London fog so I was jazzed to try another kind of fog and I TOTALLY dug it. I left my mom at this shop because I wanted to go do a hike in Olympic that I knew she couldn't tolerate, and she ended up getting a drink they recommended to her too - a breve mocha with coconut milk and almond flavor. They have a nice blue plush couch so she hung out for a couple hours there and when i came back to get her, I tried her drink and liked it so much I got one for myself! The baristas were also very sweet and working quickly, we were served in about 5 mins. This little shop is in a small outdoor mall area with a big car park; plenty of spots were available. It's unassuming from the outside but it's got decent seating inside, has lots of windows and light (good for studying, a couple folks were doing that), and it's open later than most other coffee shops in Port A (they didn't close until 7 the Monday we were there - it was perfect since I came back to pick up my mom around 6:30). Overall the next time I come back to port A when visiting Olympic, no question I'll be stopping here. I'm a big fan!

I do think that their offerings are better than other places which might not be as reliable or open when they say they are. My boyfriend and I chose the burrito basket and Aunt C. got the breakfast sandwich basket. When you walk into Granny's cafe you are immediately greeted by the vintage decor and the friendly employee at the counter. Once we sat down I had time to take it all in. Just above us was a ceiling shelf displaying a bunch of different salt and pepper shakers. A piano sat behind us with an old meat grinder nearby. They had some shirts for sale and a restroom just outside. An eclectic mix of vintage decor and several tables to serve guests inside and outside. Once the food came the three of us were famished. The chocolate malts were thick and delicious with a hefty dollop of whipped cream on top. Portion sizes were on point for our hunger needs, we were unable to finish everything. The burrito was stuffed with fresh spinach, tomatoes, cheese, and choice of meat. I got the sausage and all of it together was flavorful and hearty. This little cafe is certainly worth stopping at, be sure to check their hours before getting excited. It worked out that they opened at 11 on this day after we had filled our morning with an adventurous hike. We drove by a few hours later and noticed they got a lot busier after they opened, we were thankful we got there early and filled our tummies to get us through the rest our day. I highly recommend this little cafe if you happen to be heading in or around Olympic national park, in this area. I know we'd definitely go back when we visit again!
