Overpriced. Not as good as I recall. What turned me off first was that the host put us in a back function room that is devoid of any atmosphere. I I realize spacing during Covid, but I refused the seating. I was with my college age sons, and maybe he figured we wouldn't mind. Very bad form on the host's part. I noticed other groups refusing their back room assignments as well during the course of my dinner. This not fine dining, yet the prices are steep enough to ask if they obtained a Michelin Star. My boys liked what they got, and I did like my sirloin, but the price/quality ratio was off (I've eaten at some of the best restaurants in Italy). Enough for me to seek other alternatives if I'm in this realm. I realize that it's a chain situated in the cultural wasteland of suburban Anywhere, USA, so I deserve it. I just remember it being much better. Seek another venue if you want a memorable meal. Our server, Gary, was the single bright spot of the visit. He was cordial, attentive, good natured, and caring. I don't mind paying for a good meal and a fun night. Which is what I thought I would have at Tuscan kitchen dueling pianos on February 22. I was wrong. Let me start with the cheese tray was absolutely phenomenal. Beautifully presented and delish!! Next came the awful sacks of cheese I think some sort of raviolis. Cold and sticky. Yuck!!! Then a slab of pot roast on a pice of bread no vegetable that's it! Awful!!! How come no veggie?? Then bread pudding which was equally as awful!! I have always thought highly of Tuscan kitchen but not so much after this experience. Think twice before handing over your money people!!! You will be disappointed!!! By far one of the best Italian restaurants I have been too Every visit quality food and service ! The atmosphere is homey and where we chose to spend Thanksgiving with our grandsons We suggested a friends daughter to Tuscan Kitchen for her bridal shower and she, her friends, and family eat there now ! The portions are perfect and everything I have tried has been amazing ( my favorite is the salmon with sweet potato & asparagus ) We will say Edwin is our favorite , and if not our server will come over to talk to us :0) Tya Chartier when working hostess always has a great smile ! I want to like this place. I do. There is a lot to recommend it. The staff is great. They are nice and patient and well-trained. They're great. The atmosphere is surprisingly nice when you consider that they took over the first floor of an office building. This gives them a lot of space and they use it to good effect. I like that you are not sat on top of other guests. I like that. What I don't love here is, well, actually, um, ah...the food. The menu is odd and kind of pretentious. I hate to say that because they are so nice there, but it is true. Maybe it is too sophisticated for my pallet. (I could understand that being true.) It is okay, but not "wow". For the kind of place it is, and the prices that they charge, you may leave there underwhelmed. If I could have given 3.5 stars, I would have. I am NOT looking for the Olive Garden experience. But when I compare it to a place like Rufina's in Chelmsford, Rufina's wins. We have not been there in a while. We had gone for a couple of special occasions (anniversary and wife's birthday). This was my first time eating at tuscan kitchen and I was impressed all around. Bc of current restrictions only the outdoor patio was open for dining but it was still a great experience, even better than I could have hoped for. The ladies that checked us in were very accommodating even though we were a walk in group of four and once a spot opened we were able to sit on the patio and order cocktails while waiting for an open table. Our group loved the vibe and ambiance of the cocktail section so we asked if we could stay and have the food there and they let us. The food was amazing as were the drinks. I ordered the calamari appetizer, fichi pizza, and one of the gnocci plates (big meal I know) all were 10/10. Big thanks to our server and to the tuscan kitchen staff for wearing masks and doing their best to keep everyone happy and safe. Will definitely be coming here again read more

I just had a disappointing and expensive dinner at Tuscan Kitchen. Service was slow and the loud piped in Sinatra type music made the wait more unpleasant. Food was OK, but hardly worth the $90 bill (no alcohol, not including tip) for two people. It's sort of like the Olive Garden X 2 in price. read more

I usually very much enjoy this place. I've been here on numerous occasions and have never had an issue. They say one bad experience can ruin it... and that is very true. I went to the Burlington location last night for Mother's Day dinner. I had made a reservation and we were seated on time. Front of the house was extremely professional and courteous. The good experience ended after this. We ordered the octopus app to begin. When it came to the table I was disappointed to see two tiny pieces of octopus. I mean tiny.... and at 16 dollars a pop, I expected a little more bang for my buck. It came on top of toasted bread that was disgustingly soggy. The bread was not edible. For our main courses we decided to split the short rib pasta and the fig and prosciutto pizza. The pizza was BURNED and badly burned at that. The pasta was tasty and well cooked but the pizza was almost inedible. When our waitress came over to check on us we explained that the pizza was burned, and she told us this is normally how it came. If that's true, that's pretty awful! We ordered espresso and lemoncello tiramisu for dessert. The espresso was burnt and the dessert tasted like it had been sitting there for a week. Needless to say my Mother's Day dinner was a wash. Will not be dining here again. And that's sad because it used to be one of my favorite places. read more

I've tried the Brasato (wild boar ragu) last night, and there was no distinct flavor of the ragu, and the gnocchi had a nice texture but also no real flavor. This past Saturday we were very excited to visit this restaurant but it was very disappointing. After sitting for about 20 mins the server came to our table and we placed orders for a few appetizers (there was 4 of us). We ordered the Octopus which was cut into tiny little pieces and placed over 2 huge pieces of bread. Then calamari that was ok and the mozzarella tasted just like out of a supermarket. The most disappointing was my Zuppa De Pesce which was so over priced for what was on the plate! A lobster tail cut in half (over cooked and stuck to the shell) , two tiny pieces of salmon and a whole shrimp with again 2 huge pieces of bread. This was served in a watered down broth for $35!! The other 3 meals were not memorable. The server never came over to ask how the food was. The young person clearing our table would stack all the dishes on the table until silver wear was falling off the stack. We all looked at each other waiting to here a huge crash the two times he cleared our table. I think this place is too big and the quality of the food and service is not there. Heard Tuscan Kitchen was very good when it first opened and thought we would give it a try. Went with another couple on Saturday night. We were seated promptly and bread and an olive oil mix was delivered to table which was tasty. So far so good until we ordered and received our dinners. We started off with salads. The greens were not properly rinsed and there was sand/dirt left behind! We moved on to entrees: lobster ravioli was fair at best, with a very small portion for the price. Eggplant lasagna was lousy! Mostly sauce with very little eggplant/pasta. Didn't taste fresh...pasta tasted like it had been frozen for a while. The steak with side of sweet potato was dry and overdone. This place is really overpriced. They want to give you a really special experience but is left a little short and dearly feels low value for money. The appetizer that we ordered was so tiny and was missing the caviar part of the balsamic caviar in the menu description. The children's menu was good and very good value for the price and came with fries. We were happy about that. The adult entrees we where we felt that having everything made from scratch or having so many elaborate steps for it to be made with fancy ingredients did not necessarily result in a more satisfying meal. read more

We have been here multiple multiple times & never left disappointed! This place is a true gem. The district is so up and coming and in my opinion Tuscan is the best aspect of the neighborhood. To start, the salads are always fresh super tasty and big enough to share! My favorite is the espresso martini... But all of the wine is phenomenal. I have never had a bad server and I have been lucky enough to meet the manager Charlie on more than one occasion. He is super attentive to food allergies which I much appreciate. The butter nut squash cappelletti is sooo good. My husbands favorite is the braised short rib ravioli. You cannot leave without trying the desserts ! The 3 stars is generous and probably mostly for the nice setup of the restaurant and bar it was really welcoming and wide open and clean. Nice big screen tv's even in restrooms and restrooms were spotless also unfortunately the food and service didn't come close to that. I went with 2 other couples and I usually give benefit of the doubt if it's one course but when it's pretty much every course including dessert I can't overlook it. My wife and I had the bruschetta appetizer was fair at best she also had shrimp skewers she liked them that was best part of her meal I had the Arancini's they were just warm and had cold tomato sauce on top I've never been served them like that in my life but was starving and ate them they were bland. For entree I had the Bolognese with rigatoni a meatball and sausage again it lacked flavor my wife had the chicken parm she didn't finish we didn't bother taking it to go. Thought dessert would be better. For my wife it was she got the sorbet and loved it I got the cheesecake and didn't like that either nothing I ate seemed to have the taste I'm accustomed to. The other couples seemed to be alright with the stuff they ate I didn't really ask I wasn't in the mood with the amount I spent I could've gone somewhere that I really enjoy and known I'd go home full and satisfied. The last 2 times I have been here the service was horrible. Have not been in a while so thought I would give it another chance. I just went there tonight and the server I will say was great! I do not mind spending money going out to dinner. However I can not believe I just paid $14 for one meatball. Really guys? Before when you ordered the app you would get 3 meatballs (3 different meats)Thats fine. So I guess we are supposed to split that 1 meatball with 4 people! I will not be going back anytime soon. I have eaten at Tuscan Kitchen several times. I love the shrimp scampi, which is a decent portion size. My favorite drink is the Tuscan Tini. My only complaint is that the portions are small and I'm usually still hungry after eating my meal. The Brasato Di Cinghiale and the salmone alla griglia are small portion meals. Food just as delicious as the one in Salem, NH, with a much larger footprint and bar area (though the bar was a little quiet on Easter Sunday (shouldn't be too much of a surprise, I guess). Delicious Osso Buco so tender it collapsed nicely under the merest pressing of the fork, garnished with roasted vegetables and a creamy risotto. Other diners had a massive signature ribeye steak, which looked as appetizing as you might imagine, the gnocchi carbonara (superb, rich and plentiful) and an enormous portion of expertly rendered chicken parm over angel hair. Appetizer of calamari for the table was light and cooked to perfection. No negatives on the food. Waiter Erik was right on it, despite being beset by a nearby 15-top of slow-orderers, friendly and unnecessarily unapologetic about a couple of minor delays. On Easter dinner, you're not looking to get "turned over" like in a hash house, so his timing was impeccable throughout our stay. A+ for him, as well as the food runners and bus staff. Not the most inventive or extensive collection of bourbons, but they have Bulleit, Knob Creek and a few others. Fine, and more than adequate match for my veal. The four of us were seated at a somewhat small table in kind of a tight stall. Not unpleasant, but if I were "driving," I would have had us seated elsewhere. Chairs comfy, though, and once the menus disappeared, adequate room on the table for our food and drinks. It was my and my girlfriend's birthdays (yep, that's how it worked out), so they hooked us up with some swell hazelnut and chocolate chip cannoli, which was delicious and appreciated. First time dining for a holiday celebration luncheon this week with 3 co workers. I'd never go back. The food took over 30 minutes for our one hour lunch. The appetizer didn't come. The manager did come at the end and graciously took 2 dishes off the bill as I'm sure they were embarrassed by the service that we received. It was the least they could do. I had a manzo panini with raw onions instead of caramelized, Panera does paninis better and I didn't expect this at all. The pasta dishes looked good and the others were pleased. My boyfriend and I went on Valentine's Day and they were perfect with getting us seated on time and were exceptionally friendly. The food and drinks were also delicious! Definitely get the calamari. Our most recent visit here the other night was a delight. The service was attentive and prompt, and the food was excellent. We had the mixed greens salad and salumi/formaggi plate (cured meats, cheese, honey, figs), lobster ravioli, and spaghetti bolognese. Made a reservation for last Saturday night. They have a valet and specific "Restaurant only" parking so I'm guessing sometimes parking can be tricky though I was able to find a spot. It's in the bottom floor of an office building right behind the Burlington Mall. There's an Italian market when you first walk in that sells Italian specialties, desserts, etc. I didn't try any but everything looked pretty good. It was busy but not crazy and we were seated right away. The restaurant itself is huge and they clearly spent plenty of money decorating the place as its very nice inside. The wine list is pretty extensive though I struggled to find anything really good at a decent price. I normally expect to pay about double the amount of what I can usually purchase the wine for myself but here wines were priced more like 3x package store prices. So think carefully before spending too much on a bottle of wine. We finally settled on a halfway decent chianti for $60 but it was surely no bargain. The menu wasn't huge and a bit meat-heavy so it's something to be aware of if you're a vegetarian. There were no dinner specials the night we were there. We shared the buratta app and the fried calamari. Both were good and fairly expensive but not really outstanding in any discernable way. Same can be said of dinners. I had the chicken pizza which was pretty big and decent though I seemed to find an occasional bone in my chicken. Others had steak and veal, which I'm told were good but again nothing really stood out. For dessert we shared the chocolate bread pudding (a special) which was fairly small and pretty good but didn't really seem like bread pudding in any traditional sense. Anyway... We didn't experience some of the issues others noted here on Yelp, such as slow service, cold food or small portions. Our waitress was efficient and helpful if not overly friendly. We had no issues with service overall and portion size was about but you would expect. I didn't see the final bill because someone else picked it up before I could even see it but this place certainly ain't cheap. Overall it was decent but honestly for this much money and as nice as it is we just felt like the food should be better. If you work in one of the many office buildings in the area and are spending your company's money I guess it's ok but there's a lot of options fairly close by so if you're spending your own money you might want to check them out too. read more

UPDATE: Had a nice conversation with Ron, the manager, and we have a resolution lined up. We plan to try TK again for dinner at some point in the coming months. We ate here on Saturday night. We will not be back. For the price you pay, you expect top notch service and a high end dining atmosphere. The restaurant is very noisy, and service is incredibly slow. The bus boy came after about 10 minutes to give us water. It was then another 10 minutes (so 20 in total) before we saw a waiter. Our waiter was pleasant enough, but he didnt really know the menu and everything was just chaotic. They were out of the wine my friends and i wanted. So we then had to ask if theyd honor the price for the one we wanted for the next bottle up that we had to get. Salads came, had to ask for pepper. My friend had already finished his salad before the pepper came. Main courses came, none of us had knives. Had to ask for knives, which took more time. We lamented that we could have gone to capital grille for the cost and had a much better meal and service. I got the full size order of gnocchi - it was maybe 10 gnocchis for close to $30. eggplant parm was about 2 slices of eggplant. My friend wanted to sub spinach for the pasta which the waiter said we could do. We then got billed for the spinach, and had to ask to have it removed. With so many choices in the greater Burlington area, we will not go back. read more

Have to give them another five stars! I hadn't been back in forever but had a great night at the bar this past weekend. The drinks were incredible and the staff was outstanding. The food was mediocre, at best. Small portions, extremely expensive for what was served. The pizza was mush when I got it; my colleague ruined his white shirt when his food fell apart. Overall it was embarrassing and we were actually still hungry when we left. It was a business lunch so I didn't want to cause a scene by making a complaint - but we would have been better off going to the Cheesecake Factory. We were a party of 5 for dinner last night. It was fantastic on so many levels. We cannot overstate how instrumental our server Casandra was in making our experience memorable. She is truly a gem, she helped us successfully navigate our dining experience from appetizers to desert! We enjoyed everything. Our highlights: charcuterie board - exceptional!; ravioli with braised beef - this was terrific!: lobster ravioli - one was ordered as it comes on the menu, one with marinara and a third fra diavolo, all were amazing. We will definitely be returning. We will definitely be seeking out Casandra. The cherry on the top was the live music. Food was very cold when arrived. We personally don't like complaining but this was very disappointing. We got the chicken parmigiana and we got barely any pasta. It was more like overprices pieces of chicken. There was not even enough marinara sauce.We felt as if our waiter was not giving us enough attention. My date and I came here hoping that the mixed reviews were the result of people looking for Vinny Testa's as opposed to fine dining. I notice that a lot of the negative reviews point out price and serving size. This is, thankfully, NOT a local spaghetti house, this is fine dining where you seldom find a 20 ounce serving of rigatoni stuffed with commercially made ricotta! We were pleasantly surprised as the food and service were top flight in every respect. Our server (I apologize for butchering his name in advance) Domiano was fantastic. He knew the menu, he made excellent suggestions and he was attentive while respecting our desire to have some time together. Normally I wouldn't mention the bread but this is a house made bread that was just delicious!!!! We order a bottle of Mastriello Super Tuscan, it was very good. Our burrata appetizer was a large portion served with pickled root vegetable that were cut on a fine mandolin. The pickling was a perfect way to balance the richness of the pillow soft burrata! Outstanding and I've eaten this dish in Rome, Florence and Sorrento. My lovely date order the carbonara which was served with ricotta gnocchi, she loved her dish. I had the ragu or wild boar which was served with gnocchi as well. Here's my sole criticism, it appeared that the serving size of boar was around 3 ounces. The word "scant" would apply here. The ragu was absolutely perfect as were the homemade gnocchi. As it turned out the meal was plenty of food, the boar was the star and it could have benefited from a little less gnocchi and a touch more of the boar. We opted for dessert cocktails (the cannoli and coconut macaroon martinis) and they were every bit as advertized, sweet and I will be damned if they didn't taste like a canolli and a coconut macaroon! If you want to try a place where the menu is varied and the food is of artisanal quality, try this place! read more

Took my Grandma for lunch in between visiting my grandfather in the hospital. It was quiet in there.. the server recommended the shrimp with fusilli pasta. The other three in my party got that and I got sweet pea ravioli. Mine was delicious, theirs however, tasted too chewy for their liking. Our bill came to $130 (four entrees and four cocktails). We split the bill $10 cash, $50 on one card and event split between the other two cards. When she processed our bill, she deducted the cash, $50 on one card and then $60 dollars on the other two. It wasn't until we were walking out that we realized that didn't quite add up. 10+50+60+60= 180 not 130! I'm not sure how their computer system works, but everywhere I have ever worked on automatically deducts after each payment. When we brought this up to her, she was so confused and said she manually put the payments in. When I asked to speak to a manager so he could clear tender the payment, she said he wouldn't come out of the office because he was tied up with paperwork. What manager refuses to see an unhappy guest? A first time one none the less? Lesson learned: If you want to try Tuscan Kitchen, go to the one in Salem,NH. I say the date because our female bartender was so attentive and amazing and really made the experience even better but I forget her name :( We sat at the down stairs bar. We got wine to start it was delish ! The fresh bread was beyond yummy and the Caesar salad was crisp and fresh. I got the butternut Squash ravioli (I forget the exact name of the entree) it was amazing. We also got the cheese ravioli with truffle oil ( I'm butchering these entree names but you get the gist lol) also excellent. We had the best experience and left happy and full!
