We love my daughter's teacher Ma Yolanda and Ms Morgan. They take great care of my daughter by providing her activities daily, taking them outside, imbed some curriculum into their routine, and always make sure she goes down for a nap. I can't speak for the other rooms, but toddler 1 (one year old room) is great. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I recently moved to Surprise from the east valley. My 1.5 year old son attended child time on Brown Ave in Mesa. Which was an exceptional child care. They didn't have all the fancy rooms snd stuff but the staff at that location cares tremendously for all the children. So upon moving to Surprise my wife and I found Tutor Time which was close to our home. We gave it a try. A week and a half into him attending this center my wife and I were watching him on the live feed they offer and saw him being treated with pure disgust by the staff. My son is a very loving smart 1.5 year old. He loves singing songs and circle time the fun stuff we all love our little ones to experience at day care right. Well this place dropped the ball big time on providing that experience for our son. He spends his days just in a room doing no activities. They don't work with the kids at all. They charge so much just to watch them run in circles. Ok enough with their lack of ability to have trained staff that will promote early childhood development. That's just too much to ask for right. Now let's talk about the first incident. My wife and I were watching on the live feed and saw the staff member (younger European American woman with blonde hair) avoid, ignore and scold our child. Then she proceeded to wipe his face from crying after she hurt his feelings and she slung her had in great disgust at the fact that she had to wipe his face. She then proceeded to purposely avoid interacting with him but she would interact with the other toddlers. She would move to different areas of the room with the other toddlers purposely to exclude my child. I went to pick my child up and tried to have a very professional calm conversation with the director. Who clearly knows nothing of what's going on in her own center. She is oblivious to what's going on and she admitted to me that the center lacks I'm having properly trained staff to care for the children. During our conversation of the Incident she told me that her procedure of what needed to happen and what she would do next was, rewind the recorded footage to see what happened, then have a conversation with the staff member to come to a resolution on how to prevent this from happening again. She assured me that this would never happen again. She removed the staff member from being in the room my child was in as well. The next day both my wife and I went to the center to have another conversation with the director after the conversation we were on easy but we decided to give it a chance. Boy was that a bad idea. 1.5 weeks later my wife and I were watching his live feed and saw another staff member in the Toddler 1 room (a younger European American woman with dark hair) mistreat our child. We saw our child calmly sitting down reading a book or flipping the pages at least quietly By himself. She came by him and snatched the book from him and put him by a toy shelf then walked away. My son started playing with toys then she came back and snatched the toys from him then snatched him by his arms and threw him into the next room (Toddler 2). read more

This location (I have not used any others so can't speak for them) is horribly managed. They have terrible employee retention, that combined with class age groups mean that my daughter has had at least 4 teachers that I know of in the last year and had not had any consistency in her daily experience there. Additionally the employee turnover extend to management so arrangements, policies, etc... are constantly changing. The latest issue (and final one as I will be withdrawing my daughter) is that, despite the fact that I have been paying for full day daycare for three and a half years, I brought my daughter in late today so that she and I could spend some time together before I went to work. Since I brought her in at 11:30 instead of 6:30, I was asked if I had an appointment and advised that appointments were needed for drop off after 10 am. If I were paying for a half day, I could understand that they staffed for 6:30 -12:30 and might not have coverage, but my daughter is normally there from 6:30-4:30, so they do have coverage. Essentially we were going to be paying for a full day despite my daughter only being the a half day. This policy is ludicrous! If I am paying for a full day then it is irrelevant what time I drop and pick up as long as it is within hours of operation. Additionally, when I called their customer service department, all they did was reiterate the policy. read more

We pulled into an empty parking lot today (Monday, October 26th 2020) to drop off our kiddo, but on the front door was a note written stating they're closed until 2 November. No notice, no reasoning, no information given as to why. A website shows the below snapshot, and again, no warning, no reasoning as to why they locked their doors. If it's Covid-19 related, which I can only assume it is, wouldn't parents need to be notified? In any case, nothing about this is right. If you're interested in a place for your child to be cared for while you work, I do not reccomend Tutor Time. They could be exposed to the pandemic and you wouldn't know. Plus, good luck staying employed and hopefully you have an understanding employer. Also, our kiddo is school age and she tells us all the time about kids leaving their masks laying around everywhere and that not everyone wears a mask. No wonder they closed down for 2 weeks a while back for yet another Covid-19 exposure! read more

We are so grateful for all their support and working with us during our difficult transition with a developmental delayed child. Tutor Time has been very helpful, we have five foster kids from ages 2 - 8 yrs old. My wife is able to drop off the 2,4, and 5 yrs old on the way to work. The 7 and 8 yr old is picked up at their school by Tutor Time after classes. Then on my way back home from work, I am able to pick all 5 of them up. Very convenient and very easy to work with. However the only issue I have, some people actually a lot of people also work on the weekends. Tutor Time is only open on school days. So that means, they are closed on weekends, holidays, and any other days the school district is off. That can be an issue, kids are off, we are at work, and the people you are depending on are closed! read more

My wife and I made peace with our situation but I drove past tutor time surprise today running errands and got enraged so its time for this review! My son (3months old at the time) was enrolled for about 3 weeks, for the majority of Nov. 2020, and it was eventful. Granted we couldn't tour the facility due to COVID but the staff in the front was very friendly and reassuring of their care and skill set dealing with children. Their "Watch Me Grow" app to view our child's room was a deal breaker. so the first week was rough being that it was his first week ever in daycare we knew it would rough. He came home looking like he literally cried all day with swollen red eyes, he was extremely dehydrated, and literally exhausted. First week was rough as expected but we didn't think anything else at the time was a contributing factor. Second week everyone in his class had to quarantine because a kid was positive, so it was a short week... NOW the third and last week, the week of thanksgiving, is where we had it and I think any parent would too. Monday he came home rough and even though he is still young we know our child and its not like him to be distraught like he was. We remembered the parent app (watchmegrow app) from orientation (which we find weird no one gave us this information to log on we had to ask for it). So we monitored him on Tuesday as to see what his day consisted of while we were away. Throughout that day he was placed in a onesie sleeper that wasn't his, even though we provided one. While monitoring this app the first MAJOR RED FLAG happened; a caretaker had him strapped in a bouncer trying to calm him down while attending to another infant and she pulled the bouncer toward her. while pulling the bouncer it got caught on the leg of another infant and as its tipping she keeps pulling causing it to TIP ON ITS SIDE! Like yo if my child wasn't strapped in he would of face planted on the floor from a height of at least a foot and a half. I call the director being as patient and calm as possible not to blow up on the people that's watching my child while we're at work. She says she'll take care of it. ok cool. I cant watch the app all day at work so we have my mother and law monitor it. She calls my wife frantic because: the care taker tried to calm our baby down because he was crying and was bouncing him violently in the same bouncer he almost fell out of before, eventually she takes him out for tummy time while he's still screaming so she can tend to the other children (which I get they have to tend to everyone else infants as well). RED FLAG #2 and 3 is while on his stomach crying profusely for 15 min he stops kicking and crying with his face buried in the soft mat and isn't moving. It takes her 10 minutes to check on our child even after acknowledging he'd stopped crying by looking at him. He was facing away so she couldn't see where his nose was! THIS IS WHAT ENRAGED ME :after all of that the care taker in the black pants has the NERVE to nonchalantly reach over with her fingers trying to be slick to check his nose to see if he was still breathing.... REALLY? After more than 20 minutes of silence you want to see if he's still breathing!? I still get furious because at the time this was our only option for daycare and we paid these people $300 dollars a week to mistreat, abuse parent trust and to potentially kill our son with negligence knowingly and then trying to see if he was still breathing like nothing happened. Wednesday was the last day he ever attended because after the day prior we cant trust these people with our child's life in a CONTROLLED environment. I monitored the app almost all day Wednesday as to make sure nothing else happened. When my wife went to go pick him up at the end of the day the caretaker picked him up and drug him through the toy canopy with toys hanging down. On the app feed I was like damn that's messed up but I was thankful it was his last day and made it out alive! when we got home that day I noticed he had a fresh cut above his eye and brought it to my wife's attention and mentioned the feed I saw and it just went to show the negligence... about 2 weeks later the director, Julianna Hartley, reached out to us inquiring about our son's return. We emailed her back explaining what happened and what we saw in detail and SHE NEVER responded, apologized or anything. We have now found better daycare and our son is alive and thriving as a young infant should be... we still would like to take legal action but don't know know to go about it. So if anyone reading this has insight it would be greatly appreciated. read more

Not impressed. Staff, although nice enough are unwilling to manage a toddler outburst. Called me two days in a row to pick up. Suggested we have her evaluated because they were sure she was delayed. Shes not. (And was evaluated) Both of my girls would cry every single morning on drop off. They also told me one day after her outburst she was returned to class and broke down again. That didnt sit well with me, got me wondering what she was afraid of in the room. They wouldnt just talk my daughter to see what the problem was. After the second call we removed them from the facility. We found a place that is willing to work with us and the girls are much happier. read more

Despicable, frustrating, non-caring, non-nurturing, no attention to detail are some of the words that come to mind when I think about this terrible place, and how they treated my two-year-old daughter. I was so looking forward and very excited to have her start at tutor Time of Surprise but the experience during my daughters TRIAL DAY, had me feeling like that was one of the biggest mistakes and worst moves as a father I could ever have made. After I dropped her off again on her trial day which is where they say the kids are given an opportunity to see if they like the place and like the staff and if it would be a good fit for them or not, I immediately turned on the app which allows access to view your child's room while they are in tutor Time's care and let the live feed play the entire time she was there. I thought it was pretty confusing to see that on the day my daughter was to be shown around and made comfortable she was left to be confused and play by herself. I then watched as some of the staff we're pretty physical in directing the kids on where they should be and where the staff wanted them which I invite any current parents that have kids there to really log on and double check how your child is being treated. As naptime came around I watched the staff grab a blanket that was not my daughters and give it to her to cover herself with. I was very clear when I handed the staff my daughters backpack that contained her belongings that she would be comfortable with for her nap. I then had to call directly to the daycare and inform them that she had the wrong blanket and that was the reason that she was not going down for nap I was left on hold and ignored so I showed up at the door of the daycare to clear the situation up. I was met in the office by the Director which wears an imitation Louis Vuitton mask to work.. she was very confrontational and began critiquing my parenting skills when informing them I was not happy with how my daughter was being treated on her very first day. I have not heard one word from the daycare to ask how her day went I have not heard anything from them and it has been over two weeks now I have not sent my daughter back nor will I. To make a long story short do not send your kids here. Period. read more

Staff is unhelpful and unwilling to provide any kind of answers. We had our son here for 2 weeks and after bad behaviour and several phone calls to both of us at work we decided to pull him out. Wish i could give negative stars on this place. For starters they have no curriculum for toddlers and are basically babysitters of the worst kind. One of the things that drew us to this facility is that they are the sister company of child time which our son had attended since he was 2 months and he's he's now almost 2 and they have live cameras you can view your child on. He attended in Mesa but we moved to surprise and unfortunately only tutor time was available. We thought they would be similar but they are far from it. They are insensitive, untrained and unprofessional from the workers to the director. First incident took place the week of 3/22/21. I watched a workers ignore by my baby end act disgusted by him drooling. She deliberately played with every child around him and left him screaming. I saw her talking to him crazy as well, pointing in his face and being very mean. I reported it to the director and she stated she would assess the workers behavior and talk to her. She never followed up with me and acted as if nothing g happened. Fast forward to 3/31/21, i watched 2 workers yank my child around, snatch toys from him and even drop him over the gate dividing the classrooms. They placed him in a classroom by himself when he was not misbehaving or crying. We then went off. My husband cursed everybody in the facility out. My son is the only black child in this class, so you can imagine what comes to mind here. Come to find out the director never recorded the 1st situation and claims she's has no access to the camera footage but literally told us on the first occasion that she can only view in emergencies. Guess abuse to my son isn't an emergency. I have contacted the regional director and I'm prepared to go higher. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS CARELESS FACILITY! I think they forget they're on camera. I will be taking legal action for sure. Wrong kid, right mama! read more

My almost 3 year old twins have been coming to tutor time since they were 12 weeks old and we absolutely love it! The teachers and staff are amazing, the facility is beautiful and we love the care that they get there. Highly recommend! read more

I have to say, Tutor Time is awful. I pulled my child after 1 week, when they couldn't find her one day. The entire week was just filled with disapointments. My daughter now goes to Montessori Of Surprise and she absolutely adores it. The facility is clean, I feel safe there and the staff is very attentive. We are never switching preschools again! read more

We send our son to a home daycare, but occasionally need care for him when our sitter is sick, on vacation, etc. We purchased a flex pass at Tutor Time, which allows our son, who is almost two, to go as needed. He's been twice so far and we have zero complaints! I was expecting him to be emotional about a new environment, but he settled in quickly and did well both days! We are very impressed and happy to have this as an option for when we need it. If our current daycare ever falls through we'd consider switching him here full time. I was impressed with how many staff members knew his name on our way out the second day. Very welcoming and friendly environment. read more

We used a five day flex care every other Friday beginning at 8 weeks of age. We paid 302.50. Every time we picked her up she was exhausted from screaming all day. She would sleep for 6 or 7 hours when we brought her home. On pick up the staff kept rudely insisting we give her gas drops, but she wasn't gassy. She never screamed all day at home. She just wanted to be held or played with. We essentially paid 60 dollars a day for them to put her in a swing/bouncer and scream all day. Would have been better off finding a babysitter and paying them the extra money. Will never return. read more

Son always leaves here sick with a runny nose and cough. Class sizes look way too big for you kid to actually be learning anything. Always ask my son what he learned for the day and he said he played with toys. Not sure if he is actually learning anything. Starting to look for a new school now! read more

My 2 year old has been coming here since June 2016 and we have always been happy with his teachers and staff at this center. The front desk is always helpful and welcoming and the teachers he has had thus far have been amazing. Miss Barbara in the pre tod room is so sweet and so good with the children as are all the teachers he has had. They update you through out the day via email and for us it is a nice piece of mind. A big addition to a staff that loves the kids is that the center is always clean and well kept which is just as important! read more

I purchased the flex pay package to use 5 days whenever I had too. We used this facility as a backup for our normal sitter. The infant room was great, very caring, very polite. The "toddler" room however terrible. My son had just turned one & had just started walking, when I entered the toddler room, I saw older children probably 4-5 years old jumping on tables & throwing toys around. The younger ladies in charge of the room were cold & looked miserable to be working there. I had a bad feeling but had no choice to leave my son there. I saw no high chairs or beds for nap time. It was crowded & unorganized. I called two hours later to check up on my son & told me that he was not in the room & was placed in the infant room because not eating their food & couldn't sit at a table on his own. You would have thought they would extend a call to let me know that. I hate this place. I will never go here nor recommend this place. read more
