My wife and I go to Tutti Frutti occasionally. The food itself is pretty good. That said, in the last few visits we saw group of teenage kids who are abusing samples without purchasing the food. They would sit down and spend considerable amount of time in the premise. The employees who were present at the time did not say anything to these people. We've been visiting this Tutti Frutti for over five years I love to take every friend of hangout here! It's such a gem. There's a ton of flavors and some that are seasonal, so you should check back every so and so. The service is good, they never complain or cause any problems what-so-ever. Furthermore, I would like to share a small story of mine that happened at this specific location. Now for some context this happened a few years ago when I was younger and had to go with mom who always made sure we had the normal cup, (there are two sizes a normal and and the big cup. With the big cup being sizable bigger.) This time though our mom made us go with our older brother who did not know this rule. So while my sister and I still got the same cup, our brother decided to take the big cup all the wiser, then he filled it to the rim. (Must have been pricey, no wonder our older brother never came with us again lol) Anyways, when we sat down to eat it was only then did we notice what he did and it being far to late to do anything! So while we ate our frozen yogurt all the content, our brother tired to eat his fast enough for it not to melt. Spoiler alert, he couldn't finish even half of it before he was full, and then what was left was a soup of colors lol. At least he learned his lesson and never got the big cup again! Came in this afternoon with my youngest to pick out something to help beat the heat... Here's a quick run down on things here: - No self-serve. Staff are still assisting customers with their flavor and topping selections at this location. - No tables or chair set up inside. Still closed for indoor eating. - No complaints from me about any of the safety precautions taken here. Totally felt safe! My girl's a pro here and knew exactly what she wanted to get after a quick glance at the posted menus while we lined up. I got her a mix of pomegranate, mango and cookies & creme topped with some strawberry boba. This concoction resembled Neapolitan ice cream with salmon roe spilled on it, but the few bites I was able sneak in were pretty good to me. The total cost was almost 17$ for this. I know people all over are going through it financially, but this is just too much. I won't be going back again. This is a decent place for frozen yogurt, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to go here. I really only come in if I'm in the same plaza and just wanted to cool down from the heat outside. What I really like about this place is that they also have a few non dairy options. My favorites are the Tiger's Blood, which has this sort of tropical fruit punch flavor, and the Watermenlon Sorbet, which tastes like a Jolly Rancher. They also give you a few sample cups so that you can try out the flavors before committing them into your cup. They also have a variety of toppings on the side, from syrups to real fruit to mochi to gummies. My favorite toppings are the mochi, white chocolate chips, and one of those rainbow belts. They have tables inside as well as the seating area outside, but the tables on the inside were always dirty and sticky whenever I went. I've always had to wipe down the tables and seats in there before sitting down. I can't tell if 48 cents per ounce is an average price now, because I've been coming in since it used to be 34 cents an ounce. Nothing about it has really changed though over the years, just the increase in pricing. Like I said, it's a nice place to go to to cool down from the summer heat, but it's not really a place to go out of your way for if you really wanted frozen yogurt. I love Tutti Frutti! For some reason, a lot of the yogurt shops in Poway proper seem to be moving around or closing, so I came down here. The flavor/topping situation is pretty typical of frozen yogurt places, but I've been very impressed with their handling of Covid-19 precautions. The two times I've been, I've gotten the biggest size Bucket-O-Yogurt that they have. Currently, with Covid-19 precautions, the experience is a little different: 1. Only a certain number of individuals or groups are allowed in the store at a time, so there may be a small wait outside. Good. 2. You go in, and essentially direct one of the store associates while they fill your container for you. When I went, the two people I worked with were very clear and asked me, at every step, "is this good?" while selecting flavors and toppings. If they're not sure what it is that you want, they'll stop and ask. At the end, you get your completed bucket-o-yogurt, exactly the way you requested it. read more
