Well that was a strange and terrible experience. I went in for a gel removal and I was told that the gel on my nails is hard gel and I will be charged $10 more than regular gel removal (which is already $15). I know for a fact that my usual salon uses only soft gel, since they are unable to take off hard gel themselves, and I always go back there for gel removal. The nail tech offered to "try" one nail but I said no since it would now take double the time, and I only had a half hour to spare. She insisted on drilling down the gel on my nail and then insisted that it is hard gel. So now I have one missing nail since she took it off, and the others are still intact. Ridiculous. She also drilled my nail so hard and down so low that it now is throbbing and red. Not sure this could have gone worse. I wasted the only half hour I had today on this mess of an appointment. Tutti has become my go to nail salon. I love the luxury services and quality of work. I also really like the add-on options such a relaxing shoulder massage or paraffin wax for my feet. Everyone is very attentive professional and in the unique times we are in (COVID) very cautious and safe. The only down side is they charge to remove your previous gel even though you get your gel manicure and pedi there which I feels like a nickle and dime they should waive that for loyal customers. I'd give them a 5/5 on massage quality, cleanliness (yay, autoclave!) and ambiance. Service was expensive (nearly $60 with the $43 mani/pedi plus hidden add-ons with mandatory cash tip) and terrible. I came with my parents and all of our cuticles were shredded. My toes were cut unevenly and not evened out with filing, so all edges were jagged. My fingernails looked like they were painted by someone wearing mittens under a heat lamp. Full of air bubbles, streaked and polish on the edges of my skin. The technician offered to paint another layer on top of the garbage he applied the first time. When I told him that would only make it worse, he said in order to have them redone, I'd have to pay extra for his time. They were so bad that I asked him to remove the polish, which he did, but he left polish in the nail beds, cuticles and fingertips. I can't wait to get home to finish his bad job. I tried speaking (very calmly, despite how poorly I was treated) to the receptionist about what had happened. She didn't offer any form of refund or repair and just blank stared at me when I said I wanted to make sure she heard my feedback to properly train her employees in order to ensure that no other customers shared my experience. Her reply was an extended "oh, OK." Seriously? Absolutely zero investment was made to ensure our satisfaction or protect our business. And then she raised her voice at me to tell me that my parents hadn't yet paid their portion of our bill. This was a miscommunication between us. My parents' technicians never asked for their payment in their 20 minutes of sitting in the front of the salon waiting for my appointment to finish, so my parents thought I'd already paid for their service. Even in this second opportunity of taking payment, she didn't offer to reduce the rate on behalf of our group or offer us a voucher for a future visit to try to make it right. In a sea of nail salons in NY, I don't see any reason to give Tutti business and they don't seem at all interested in either constructive criticism or customer satisfaction. read more

So I knew it was too good to be true. Well I've been going here for a couple months and when I first started I was going every 2wks. I was spending around $100 or more every visit. The last 2 times I've gone I've just gotten a basic mani or pedi and throw in a foot massage. From this my service has been different. If I'm not spending a $100 or more your service is trash. They rush you, they're rude to you, they do a sloppy job and are friendly and accommodating. And on the last couple visits there have done a horrendous job on my nails. My cuticles are split and damaged. My skin is dry and cracking around my nails. They were filed and cut uneven. When I mentioned it to the manicurist to refill them and to touch up my cuticles he had an attitude and sighed. My friend has the same experience only hers was worst. When we went to the receptionist/owner to let her know about her experience the first thing she asks me is did I give the guy a tip. So I tell her why he didn't deserve one she just looks at me blank stare stupid and says ok. No apology or anything. And I've been here so many times they know me by name so you would think there would be some kind of sincerity in her tone. Needless to say I won't be back here. There are other places whose prices aren't as ridiculous and they do a better job. If you're no spending a $100 or more as a black personal in this shop they were treat you funny and that's not ok. I am not one to actively seek out a page to place a bad review but this needs to be a warning for others. I had started to get gel manicures from Tutti at the beginning of the Fall and loved the experience despite one disaster of an appointment where the nail tech made all of my cuticles bleed from cutting them so hard. However, they absolutely ruined my natural nails. It has been 2 months since my last gel manicure and I am still dealing with damaged, breaking and weak nails. After my third gel manicure, all of my nails started breaking off even with the gel on because they were so weak and were bending at every touch. I should have spoken up when the nail tech was so frustrated that she had to remove my gel polish that she didn't soak my nails but chose to file the gel off every single nail. I have been left with months worth of damage. I will never return to this salon. read more

I'll start by saying that it would have been a 3 star review but I felt the price for my bare-bones mani pedi was too high at $50. I liked the space and massage chair was nice, everything clean and fresh. But my manicure was not very good. Rough edges on my nails, paint left behind on the edges of my skin, nail polish was old and should have been thinned out. Should've done an extra coat, as I can still see my nail under the polish in patches. It looks like I painted both my hands with my left hand. On the plus side, the tools were clean and the manicurist wasn't too rough on my nails. I would have said something on the spot, but I didn't get the impression my feedback would have been welcome. (I don't give out 5 star reviews that easily.) My girlfriend lives nearby, I hadn't gotten a pedicure in a while. Walking in, this place looked white and immaculate. It wasn't crowded on a Saturday afternoon. I picked the $55 sea salt spa pedicure (since it had been a while) and it was pretty great. They have jars of scrubs, mud, etc. and they dished out 4 little containers for my treatment. Of the hour-long pedicure, 40 minutes was spend on scrubing, washing, steaming, massaging, lotioning up my feet and legs, and removing callouses. There is a plastic liner for the tub, so quite sanitary. The massage chair was good too except I had to change to back stretching or else it was too much motion to also get a pedicure. The only awkward thing was I was wearing a dress and had to lift my legs for stuff and in fear of flashing people. I wish they offered a towel to put on my lap, or something. They want tips in cash. They also have a lot of fancy nail brands for a surcharge. read more

I took my dog to the dog park which is right by this salon , a friend recommended that I go there and treat myself , I said do they except Apple Pay as I didn't grab wallet when I left to take my dog out , she said yes ! I go to the salon and when I enter I asked if they except apply pay , the receptionist says no however we do take VENMO ! I said perfect that works . She instructs me to wash my hands and have a seat . I comply , and I see the ladies gathered in the corner talking for about 20 mins . Monica ( the nail tech) comes over and asked me to PAY & TIP FIRST. I ask why she said because I am paying with Venmo . I told her Venmo was what you guys told me I could pay with . She said yes I know but please pay and TIP first ! My next question is why should I tip first if I haven't seen your work , as this is my first time here . I paid first and tipped after she finished . I texted my friend and asked her if she ever had to pay first and she said NO ! I am a man of color and so it's pretty fair to assume that's why I was told to pay and tip first . At my normal nail salon I Venmo them all the time and they never ask me to pay and tip first . The shape is terrible and uneven, they cut corners to save time, and now I will have to spend twice as much money for another salon to fix it.
