I have been thinking about what to say such that the…read morebusiness is not hurt as this could be a small franchise business... stores are closing down... and it's a very stressful time. However, this was out of hand! I was trying to return a tie that frizzed up on me after wearing it for one time as well as a few other items I purchased with the tie. Service was terrible from the first salesman I interacted with; and when I told them I was doing a return, he pointed to someone in dressing room some distance away and said he's the manager you need to talk to him. I didn't notice him having on any store credentials; name tag, badge, etc; I wasn't even sure if he was the right person because As the guy approached me, He barely acknowledged me and kind of walked off without engaging... at first I thought that I must've gotten a customer that was not the manager (esp since the first salesman just pointed to someone), but he eventually turned around at one of the registers and beckoned for me to come. As I pulled out the tie and tried to explain, he started to cut me off before I could get my second sentence out; I got pretty irate, as it took me raising my voice and asking him to wait until I finish so I can explain the tie frizzed after only wearing it once and it was defective. He then started making up policies asking where is the tag, were is the box (cut me off before I could even say it didn't come with a box), implying they don't take back items which were worn. However the tie had a big Jos A Bank tag on it. I reviewed the policy to see if I misread, as I reviewed it before coming to the store. The policy was clear, I had 90 days and if I'm not satisfied I can return the item as long as I had a receipt, which confirmed it purchased these items in much less than 90 days. I think he really wanted to argue because the minute I said anything he didn't like such as to read the store policy online, he started taking over me. He promised to show me the store policy before I leave and after the transaction was over looked me in my face and said he didn't have it although he refused to take the tie back and made a smart comment when I requested that he take the other items which I did have the tag. He said his name was Riad refused to provide a last name or initial. But recommended that I call the manager and customer service which I did but after almost 10min on hold I hung up. Yelpers - I am curious has anyone else had a problem returning defective items to Jos A Bank? I see the store usually responds to these, so before you respond, please speak to your manager Riad (?) and help me to understand what was it about me that made him act that way and he really didn't have much to go off besides my appearance? My time has been wasted now, but I am very curious as to what stimulated his reaction? Does the store make up policies on certain people and what's that criteria.

I was initially sized for a custom tux shirt early June 2024 for my wedding on July 26, 2024. I paid $300 for the shirt. The shirt was not ready until August 8 and the shirt did not fit correctly. I knew there was a chance the shirt wouldn't be ready in time, however, I was told by Dash's that it was possible. I ended up purchasing a shirt from Brooks Brothers for my wedding that fit perfectly without any alterations needed. There was a major issue with the upper button/section of the shirt that you wouldn't expect from a custom shirt. I took the shirt back to Dash's on October 12 and the owner Victor assured me that they would get it fixed. On November 2, I returned to the store after being told the shirt was ready. When I arrived at the store, Victor told me there was a mistake and the shirt wasn't ready. He said they would have to send it back to the manufacturer. I did not hear back from the store until January 8, 2025 - in which I received a text letting me know that the shirt was ready and that they've been trying to get in contact with me. Prior to this, I never received a call or text with an update. Nonetheless, I proceeded to go back to the store to pickup the shirt, only for Victor to tell me it wasn't ready. He told me that there's a piece he was looking for on amazon and other sites that he couldn't find. He went on to ask me to look for that piece as well. Then he alluded to my height as being an issue. Mind you, Victor is an inch taller than me. Not only that, it was a custom shirt. So that's a poor excuse. At this point, I am frustrated because I paid $300 for a custom shirt that wasn't done correctly. Till this day, I have yet to receive the shirt. I've requested a refund and Victor refuses to give me one. His reasoning - "they are a small business." There has been no attempt to make things right by resizing for a shirt, or offering me anything to make up for the mishap. I've attached two pictures showing the issue with the shirt.

I called in late March since I hadn't heard anything yet, and he said to call back next week. I called a week later and was told it's not in yet but should be by April 15th. I called again on April 12th and he said "rest assured it will ship from Italy by April 18th." I was leaving for my wedding on April 23rd, and when I relayed my concerns he started yelling at me over the phone saying I don't know what he has to deal with, he "has to work with Italians," and said he has no control over it, then said it "wasn't my issue" which it certainly is. He rarely got my name right, he would call me by the wrong name often and even when I told him he would come back ON THE SAME PHONE CALL with someone else's order info. Incredibly unprofessional, rude, inconsistent, and all around a bad business. It's a wonder he's still in business. You can get this quality suit anywhere, you're paying more here for customer service and the personal touch. Save your money and go to a name-brand chain. Only reason this isn't one star is because I did end up getting the suit the day before I left for the wedding. If I hadn't called repeatedly, I doubt I would have it. Not once was I called first from Dash's about the suit I purchased. Not worth the hassle and headache.

What sets this experience apart is that you're not working with someone who is simply selling suits. You're working with someone who genuinely understands classic menswear, tailoring, and proportion, and who has an excellent tailor on the premises. That combination is incredibly rare. In my experience, many made-to-measure programs are primarily sales-driven. The person taking your measurements may be very personable, but often doesn't have a deep understanding of garment construction, fit, or how to modify a pattern to achieve a specific look. This experience was completely different. Every detail was discussed thoughtfully, and there was never any hesitation when I wanted to customize the pattern. Whether it was the lapel shape, shoulder expression, button stance, sleeve pitch, trouser cut, or other details, every request was taken seriously and executed exactly as I envisioned. I'm probably one of the pickiest clients anyone could have when it comes to tailoring. I have extremely high expectations for fit, and I've even had made-to-measure programs tell me they couldn't produce the result I was looking for because my standards were beyond what they felt comfortable promising. This time, the suit arrived exactly as I wanted it. Remarkably, I didn't need a single alteration. That has never happened to me before. Even if price weren't part of the equation, I would still consider this the best suit I've had made through any made-to-measure program. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Abbi and the team. Kind, funny, patient and miracle workers. I was a best man for the wedding that used them and was amazed with the organization and professionalism by this group. A year later goes by from when I worked with them and needed measurements for another wedding, not only were they able to find my record, but took the time to make sure I was taken care of. Any other place could have just dismissed me and called me crazy for trying to find my record from over a year ago, but Abbi and the team made sure to take care of me and help me out. My husband and I left very satisfied with the service and price for his tuxedo rental. Abbi provided nothing but the best service - he was very knowledgable about the different tuxedo brands and could tell my husband's size just by looking at him. Haha, I might be easily impressed but that showed experience. We needed the tux within 4-5 days and it was available without a problem. Before coming to this shop we went to Men's Warehouse and the service was terrible. I am glad we went with a smaller shop in Old Town Alexandria instead. I felt awful because I forgot the cuffs when I returned the tux, but Abbi was very flexible about returning them. My husband wants to buy a tuxedo soon, we will definitely be returning here to buy one! read more

Extremely helpful for finding a tuxedo the SAME DAY as the event. Men's Warehouse was not any help at all, so I came to Savvi after quick google search. The man who runs the tuxedo shop was actively looking for items my size (not easy, 29" waist, 5'-9" tall) via phone while I was driving there. He was able to piece together a whole black tie look with pieces available. Hemming the pants was done in about 20 minutes. They were very fair with the price, coming it at less than 1/2 what Men's Warehouse was going to charge (but Mens Warehouse will not do same day). Tuxedo By Sarno is a great local suit and tuxedo shop in Old Town. The process of choosing a suit was very simple and easy, you choose which one you'd like from a selection in a book. I needed a black tie/tuxedo for a gathering. I got the classic, but they have lots of flashy choices. Service was friendly and fast. I like to support local businesses so it is nice to be able to just walk there for the fitting. Just in case new customers need to know the timing. Needed a last-minute tux for a black tie gala. Called around to 3 or 4 other places who all told me that my request was ridiculous or impossible. If you don't know your measurements, they will do it there for free if you rent through them or $20 if you need measurements and no rental. Lydia gave us good customer service, but she was not available the morning we were scheduled and we were assigned Burgan. Burgan was very professional and a big help in selecting the finishes and fitting. We enjoyed working with Burgan, and placed the order. We have ordered several custom suits from different companies. We really appreciate the vast selection of high quality fabrics and professionalism of the staff at Enzo. They have custom suits available as low as about $600 but on average the suits run about $1,200 and up. The suits are well worth the splurge. The aesthetic of the location is sleek and modern. The experience feels elevated and is what you want when you're spending over a thousand dollars for a suit. Note to management it would be appreciated if clients are consistently offered water or a beverage during every visit. I highly recommend this location. We are looking forward to receiving the new suit. I will update this review once we go through the final fitting. TIP: There is a $100 referral discount which is a nice incentive to spread the word.

He made my fiancé feel comfortable, confident, and like a superstar even during the fitting process. They have so many different styles and options that it can easily be over whelming, but the stylists are so knowledgeable that if you have an idea as to what you want they can point you in the right direction! Not only did I get a great suit, but Andrew was also extremely knowledgeable about the history of suits and we got a nice little history lesson as to why certain things are the way they are. We went in during the World Cup and they put the game on for us. I can't say enough about how great of an experience it was and how highly I recommend checking them out! Need to enter the code to get in and to go up the elevator. Due to Covid they're only allowing max 3 people at a time (which is fine) but the people before us ran over so we were waiting in the hallway. We explained the color palette to her for a awhile and she talked about how difficult the dresses were to pull from the system. On top of that I wasn't a huge fan of the styles and I really wanted a halter. I asked her 3 times and basically was going to back out from buying anything until she finally went on her computer to miraculously find one halter that was avaliable in that color. As expressed by a lot of reviews here, I personally felt really pressured to size up. Even when the dress was a good fit, she would say that I should size up. When it came time to order the dress she kept pushing me to get a size that's 2 sizes up from my norm and I explained that I'd be fine 1 size up. She finally was hands up "ok. You know your body. " why yes, yes I do. And I know how the dresses felt on me and what level of breathing I will manage to look good in the dress lol. There was a lot of pressure to buy. Everyone had to put in their dress style and go to this link to register and checkout together. Next day I found this $275 dress on sale for $98 on the Jenny Yoo site (my size available). And Bella's policy is no returns or exchanges because "everything is made to order. " when I reached back out to tell them this, they gave me a little bit of money back because that was what they paid the manufacturer. Still sad that I didn't get the $98 price but I increased from 3 to 4 stars for the partial refund and working with me. Maybe it's covid, or maybe the atmosphere here is just really pushy. Although we were able to try a bunch of dresses on, and we found what we wanted and what the bride wanted... I would not choose to put any of my friends through this when it's my turn... I mostly didn't like the pressure to buy right then and there.

It was SO helpful to see the colors in person, see the styles in person to understand what works together, and try the dresses on to understand their fit. We had anticipated going in just to look at colors, and both ended up creating showrooms (I even ordered my MOH dress!), and feel confident in the quality of the dresses and the assistance of the team.

They sent out an email blast to all clients stating summer sale and An EXTRA 40% off in store only. Went in to purchase a dress and the girl had no idea of what email i was mentioning. I pulled it up and she proceeded to say "oh sorry I've been gone for two weeks"... again terrible service to not have employees in the know. And would not honor the email THEY sent out. I also planned to purchase other things as well but I was so turned off by this. They lost a purchase and a customer- will not be purchasing from here again as good customer service would be to honor the email mistake they had seem to make. Plus the dress is still more expensive than other places - give business to those that value customers and are willing to own up to their mistakes!
