They are a must see if you are looking for formal wear. Due to COVID issues here and in China the tux I purchased for my wedding was running more than 3 weeks late. Mr. Yemiru kept me up to date. My tux finally arrived 3 days before we were leaving for our wedding. The jacket was a perfect fit but the pants were a little off. Normally it takes 2 - 3 days to get items adjusted. So I was going to have to find a Taylor at our destination. Mr. Yemiru was able to locate a local taylor that was able to fix them overnight. Excellent customer service. read more

If you need a Tuxedo, this is the place to go! I see some reviews are complaining about customer service or that their suits didn't fit. This place is basically a boutique where you should call ahead, and if the suits don't fit, that is a called not controlling your food intake. I needed a suit for a wedding and measurements went quick and I liked the service. I knew it was my job, that if I wanted the suit to fit better on wedding day, I needed to cut the calories and carbs. On wedding day, the suit fit fine and the shoes were nice. We were in a pinch because the custom suite my husband ordered online off of Black Lapel said his suite would not be ready last minute and we were headed out of town for our wedding reception in 2 days!! Abbie was understanding and flexible for which we are grateful. He graciously switched the date. At the wedding, I noticed my son's tuxedo looked and fit better among those in attendance. The material and craftsmanship was higher quality. The jacket hung perfectly off his shoulders and the pants cut just right over his shoes. The shirt was bright white and crisp. Nothing wrinkled. Where to begin? We got the information for this AMAZING place at a wedding show and weren't sure what to expect. After a phone call, we were invited to go to do a consultation and have the process explained to us. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the owner and he gave us a book to thumb through while he finished with some guests. We looked at a few of the selections in the books and were very interested in a few. He explained to us how we were to be measured, when to return, and how the whole process works. Further, he assured us that what we wanted, he could do. He explained how the tux's worked and how each thing is tailored, how the look should be, and moreover how we can mix and match up until thet week of! He measured us and sent us on our way. We felt comfortable and it is very reasonable in terms of pricing. Once the big week came, he told us to come back about 2 weeks before the wedding for a 'check-up' of measurments which he said its no biggie and things were still set. Once the suits came in, he checked us all and saw how we fit in the suits, down to the tie. My soon to be nephew's needed new shoes and a vest since they were to big but he ordered them express and were there in 2 day's. Naturally, the tux's were AMAZING. We couldn't stop hearing about how amazing we looked and how they were greatly tailored. They look amazing in the pictures. He was great when we returned, asked to see picture, and of course, put them on his social media, which was great. This place is in Hannelore's Bridal shop which tends to get bad reviews, but I totally enjoyed my experience with Abbi in the Men's Formal wear. My groomsman and myself rented the Navy Windsor Suits by Perry Ellis. The suits were good. We had a few minor alterations and changes that needed to happen, but Abbi took care of them in a day. He worked well with my out of town groomsman and dad. He took their measurements and payments over the phone. We went in several days before hand and tried everything on. Avvi dealt well with our changes and even got some of my guys two shirts so they could decide on the best ones on the wedding day. Definitely go in several days before and try things on so Avvi can get the changes and sizes right. As the groomsman, i tried on the suit orignally, one month out and three days before. Three days before I changed to a smaller pant size and it was no problem. For Saturday weddings make sure you have time to drop off the suits if traveling. I had one person gather all the suits up Sunday after the wedding and return them for me. The hours on Sunday are limited though and they are closed on Monday so they were returned Tuesday which was fine Abbi assured us. Just confirm with him because you will get automated emails saying they are late on Monday because most stores are open on Monday. They do not accept American Express, so use a Visa or Mastercard or Cash. read more

I came in and got measured and 2 weeks later I picked up my tux. Jacket didn't fit shirt doesn't fit Pants don't fit and the vest clasps were broken making them non-adjustable. If you wanna get a really expensive ill-fitting tux this is the place to go. Guy was kinda friendly I guess. One star After talking to several of the groomsman everybody's tux was off. Overall good service, delivered the tuxes on time and the fittings were good. We had called ahead and been quoted a certain price which was lower than Men's Warehouse, however, when we got to the shop were told by the owner that was the price for the "cheap" tuxes. This was a poor and weak attempt to upsell us into more exoensive tuxes as the quality for the "cheap" tuxes was 100% fine. I'd like to begin by giving Yelp a one star rating for not allowing a zero star rating for this HORRIBLE business/incompetence factory. I had the displeasure of a prior experience here for my brothers wedding last summer. The guy who runs the tuxedo rentals literally lost the initial tux reservation for the entire wedding party. Since my brother was proactive and stayed on top of this guy non stop like flies on ship, we worked through problem after problem with each and every member of the wedding party's rental. I won't get into that occasion since this review is regarding my latest disastrous experience. My good friend shockingly decided to rent his wedding party's tuxedo's AGAIN after my brother strongly recommended not to. I initially called the store several months in advance to request the same measurements as the ones I used last summer for my bros wedding. The guy informed me "they had no records of my prior order" which I found odd given the upscale old town Alexandria location and the fact that computers' data storing capabilities are pretty sophisticated in the year 2015! So I shrugged it off and called in some measurements that a real business, Men's Warehouse, had on file. The tuxedo guy was polite and said the measurements were in and good to go. Fast forward to the tuxedo pick up this week. I arrived on Wednesday before the Saturday wedding and the guy is having difficulty locating my tux. Come to find out my name is spelled wrong. I feel a bad omen lingering but shrug it off again and proceed to try in on. The jacket size is larger then what I called in from the men's warehouse measurements. The tux guy immediately begins asking who took my measurements. I explain I called them in but he wrote them down wrong. He said come back Friday and pick up the proper sized jacket since he to order a new one. Friday comes around, and I asked my friend to pick up the jacket while getting his tux. He is informed that there are no more remaining jackets in the wedding party. I called the tuxedo guy and he says "sorry I have the jacket here. I just didn't know where it was earlier when your friend came.". "Are you seriously a real business!?" Am I being punked on a a reality show? No. This is standard procedure for Savvi. I might consider recommending this store to my worst enemy but that's about it. The guy says he will not deliver it nor will he send via courier (nor discount/refund for their errors) so I should make arrangements the morning (they open at 10 am mind you) of the 2 pm wedding to come get it from leesburg, which is about 60 miles each way from hannelores. I managed to obtain the jacket after much coordination and jumping thru countless hoops about twenty minutes before the wedding. If you want you terrible service, a botched order, and much stress before a major moment in your or a close person"s life, then I highly recommend Hannelores. If not, don't waste your time and find a reputable suit rental with competent employees. read more

This shop is located in Hannelore's Bridal Boutique right down by the water in Old Town. My boyfriend and I had stopped in here to look at some tuxedos to rent for an upcoming event. We didn't have an appointment but the Manager, Abbi, kindly greeted us and was more than willing to show us what he had to offer. Their selection of tuxedos/suits are gorgeous and really nice quality. We weren't planning on purchasing at that point in time, but Abbi sold us when he told us what we were looking to spend on what we had selected. We had went and picked the tuxedo up whenever it came in and my boyfriend tried it on. It fit perfectly. Mind you, he is 6'3 and 280lbs. He always has trouble fitting into suits or tuxedos so I was amazed at how well it fit. We left happy customers. Abbi is willing to go above and beyond to make his customers happy. He does typically work at this location by himself and at times is very, very busy. I would suggest making an appointment; 1) to make it easier on yourself, and 2) to make it easier on him. There's only so much one person can do and I can sympathize with him whenever there are 30 people there and only 1 person to work with all of them. I will definitely be going back to this place whenever we need another rental or perhaps to buy as well. read more
