They once did whole chicken which was pretty perfect outside on the old patio. Pretty much impossible to undercook something you smoked for hours but very easy to dry it out, and it was great. Actually brought the whole fam there that day including our dog. It's petfriendly outside. They have three main beers that you can always get, and then about another 3 beers or so of rotating and experimental beers/ciders. If you want to get an idea of the staff this is from my first visit there a few years back. I actually think this was towards the beginning of Covid. We had to get out of dodge and enjoy some relaxation by the lake. When we showed up everywhere we drove by the spots we normally frequented and everywhere was closed, sometime near 8 pm. We did a search and found that here was open and headed over as fast as we could to try to get something to eat. Unfortunately the grill just closed, and we resigned ourselves to a liquid dinner. The chef then pokes his head out and offers to make a pretzel for us, and we could not have been happier. It was a big one too. The staff was just so welcoming and seemingly very happy that we were there... which is not always the case in the general area... that Burnt Timber became one of our usual spots instantly. Each time we've been back it has always been that way, which is even more rare not just here but back in the Boston area as well. There was no clearly marked ADA-accessible entrance or any obvious way for a wheelchair user to safely access the inside of the restaurant. We considered sitting outside, but the awning poles blocked the walkway to the point that we could not comfortably or safely navigate the area with a wheelchair. Even if we had managed to sit outside, we had no accessible way to get inside if the wheelchair user in our party needed to use the restroom. What was perhaps most disappointing was that not one person offered us any guidance, alternative entrance, assistance or possible solution. We were simply left trying to figure it out ourselves. Accessibility is about more than just getting through a door. A person using a wheelchair should be able to enter, dine with their family and friends, and access a restroom with dignity. Sadly, we weren't able to do that here and had no choice but to leave. I sincerely hope Burnt Timber takes a serious look at its accessibility and staff awareness so another family doesn't have the same experience.

No one checked to see how the meals were until the plates were cleared. In summary, there was more wrong than was right, but there were some positives on the Cubano and fresh Romaine.

It had a strange taste of pickle juice or something. I bet if you ordered that at Blue Bistro it would be good but not sure I'd spend double to find out. The burgers are meh, frozen and not that juicy, nachos suck, grill salmon on salad, dry and not worth it. Why can't we make real food since we know the money is being made on the drinks.
