We rented tables, chairs, umbrellas, and tablecloths. They dropped off on location the day before and pick up the day after. Tablecloths were clean and beautiful as were the umbrellas. I had a great experience purchasing a Christmas tree from this location. We came up from Corona to enjoy a family Christmas get together in a local Air-BNB. 3 weeks ahead I called them to ask about a tree. They gave me great advice. Based on that advice I called back the week of 12/15/25 and their amazing rep jumped on a FaceTime call with me to pick out the tree. They lightly flocked it for me; took payment over the phone and held it until 12/23/25 for me. They helped me load it and lock it down. I rarely say this, but this was handled perfectly. They had freshly cut Christmas trees in a variety of types and sizes, so it was easy to find the perfect tree for our holiday. Although they only sell Christmas trees for one month a year, they provide a full-service experience, including fresh cuts, bagging, and loading the tree into your car. Bear mountain was super busy and only shuttle to and there. We stopped in to ask questions and get some stuff. They answered everything. Twin bear to the rescue !! Before you go to a major brand auto part store to pick up chains call twin bear first , they probably have what you need and are cheaper than the other auto parts stores in town .. needed chains while up in big bear and twin bear came through , not an easy one either as i have 35 in tires on my truck but you know what they had em and they were about $100 cheaper than the other guys . I like to support small business and im glad i came here .. super friendly service with a smile , these guys also carry ski and snowboard rental stuff also but they do carry chains . There are not many places in the valley where you can rent equipment. I have rented different items from a small belt sander to power washers, trailers, etc. I think they can fix the home owner and contractor up with mist items you would need from building a home to heavy maintenance on your place. I always have had good, friendly service here. I almost always ask for a demo on the piece of equipment I am renting and at Twin Bear I get a thorough, no compromise explanation on the safe operation of the tool. I understand they also rent party supplies and winter sports equipment but I have no experience in those areas. read more

We rented from Twin Bear for our small 28 person wedding weekend in Big Bear and they had everything we needed and were super easy to work with! Everything was reasonably priced and it was great to have it dropped off Friday and picked up Sunday when I originally thought it would just be the wedding day. The only do near curbside drop off so we did have to move a lot of it ourselves, but not that big of a deal for our smaller party. Visiting from New England where I ride blacks without any problem. Rented snowboarding gear from them to go to Big Bear with my brother. Big mistake! The person that "helped" me was completely unqualified to fit equipment for people. I should have been more demanding instead of letting them do it all for me. I'm 5'8", 135 lbs, size 9 shoe and ride blacks. They took that information and gave me an extra wide 150 cm snowboard with no flex, xl bindings and really soft boots with no support. This stuff probably would have been appropriate for a 5'8", 180 lbs, size 12 beginner. I tried to ride the blacks. Couldn't get the board to hold its edge. Wiped out and planted the nose of the board in the snow and bent/sprained my ankle really bad because the boot/binding were bad by themselves but even worse when combined. Lost the rest of the day and spent half a year rehabbing my ankle. If you rent something from them, don't trust that they have any expertise at all! $20 something for day rental is a decent price. I don't think Yelp categorized this business correctly. It is a ski and snowboard rental equipment company. I have the receipt with the exact address and phone number so I'm sure this is the place I went to. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE. They rented me an absolutely horrible mystery board that was set up 100 percent incorrectly. The rental form asked my stance, but it seems they completely ignored it as it was set up closer to goofy when I am regular. They also seemed to completely disregard my height as the bindings were set way too close together. I'd previously owned and rented and never had to think about the way it was set up because I was always helped by professionals, which the folks at Twin Bear most certainly ARE NOT. Not only is sending folks out on these boards unethical -- because they are almost guaranteed to have a miserable time -- it is dangerous. Right off the lift I caught an edge and got a nasty bump on my tailbone that made the rest of my day a total drag. Though I then adjusted the bindings to a more reasonable stance, the damage was done. As an intermediate rider who grew up boarding in Utah, I felt completely uneasy the entire time. Honestly, these folks should watch out because those liability waivers they have people sign will not protect them in the case of gross negligence. My boyfriend felt so bad for me he insisted in letting me use his board for a bit so my day was not a total loss. An accomplished boarder, he strapped into my rental board and agreed that it was virtually unrideable. I would feel totally awful for a beginner rider who rented from this place because they'd end up thinking the sport is impossible. Very bad rental shop. read more

These people were so helpful!! I bought chains for my car but apparently they are a weird tire size and the chains wouldn't fit. I tried for 30 min and the guy who helped me even tried. The only reason I'm giving one start is because it's mandatory. There's no 0 option. We found this ski and board rental shop and thought it looked reasonable so we rented 2 boards for two days amounting to $160. For that amount we got two boards, one of which had parts that didn't work and of course we found out when we got on top of the slopes. At the end of the day we returned the boots because They were crappy and got snow and water in them. We also returned the snowboard because the bindings were broken and wouldnt hold in the foot properly. When we went to exchange everything, the lady, Elena, had a bad attitude as if it's a burden for HER but she replaced it and Told us in front of staff members that any repairs done on the mountain on her boards would be gladly reimbursed as long as the receipt was presented at the return. And so it happened, the next day the binding broke off the NEW board and had to get it fixed on the slopes costing me $25.00. At the end of the day when I came to return it, I brought the receipt and asked for my money back for the repair. Her staff said there are no refunds so they called Elena, lady who told us about the refund, and when we mentioned the price of the Repair, she said we would not refund anything. Four people there heard her say it yesterday and showed great support when she ed arguing with us. We were then yelled at and spoken to with a nasty attitude and told to take the part back and get my money back which didn't happened leaving me $25 out of pocket without a board to own. At thr end of it all we received horrible service, crappy boards, and disrespect from the management. Steer far away from this place and you will be better off. read more

I was once again reminded that it's always a good idea to check Yelp before going somewhere, just on the safe side. If I would have done that here, I'm sure I would have stayed away based on the other terrible reviews. For us, just a terrible overall experience. Things started off bad when we got to the slopes and discovered that the equipment wasn't set up properly. Then when we returned our equipment, despite having paid for damage protection, they claimed that we damaged one of the snowboards (for our 4 year old) beyond repair, so we had to pay them for a replacement. The purported damage was fixable, but nevertheless I said I'd pay them a reasonable amount to compensate them for the (heavily used) board, but they refused my offer and told me I'd see them in small claims court. The analogy used against me was that if I rented a car and wrecked it, I'd have to pay for a new car. This is exactly the type of nightmare that you don't want to deal with when renting something. Eventually ended up paying what they wanted because, candidly, I just imagined myself potentially dealing with these people in the future, and it was worth the money I paid to put them in my rear view mirror.
