Location is good. Lil bit of walk to the main area.... Clean rooms. Clean pools indoor and outside. They have a polyesian show. Unfortunately no one could confirm if they could do any gluten-free food so I couldn't go to it. They actually looked at me like I had five heads. It made me feel really weird about my allergy... I must say again rooms were clean freshly painted... The only thing that was awful about the rooms was the beds. Even my teenage sons were complaining about it.... I was not very happy with this place overall it looks pretty rundown for the price that we're paying, but overall it was acceptable for a night or two while we were going to pick up my son. The one thing I did not like was the fact that when we did get my son, we went back to the hotel and we went to go swimming and they were drinking and smoking in the pool, not outside the pool, not around the pool in the pool so cigarette ashes and everything else were falling in the pool. Along with drinking in the pool, which is a serious thing, especially if somebody gets hurt while intoxicated and in the water and they were not drinking just one or two they had a whole 12 pack in front of them that they were drinking. Anyway, we told the manager and the manager told us that it doesn't matter we allow that Well that sealed the deal for me. I did not wanna go back. Before we left I did speak to the new general manager that was just hired on and she told me that she will definitely take care of it and apologized for the inconvenience. Whether it's actually stopped or not, I do not know that was a major downside to me and it was also a major drawback to ever wanna go back to that place again. I do not ever tell anyone not to go to a place because there's always room for improvement and if they improve then by all means go back, but I cannot say that I would recommend this place to anyone either. If you're ever in the area and want someplace to stop, you can stop there if you would like, but it's not my recommendation. 3 night stay at the Tiki Resort over delivered expectations on all levels given the poor reviews. We stayed in a 2 queen poolside room on the second floor and room was very clean and appeared to have been renovated in the last few years. Bed were very comfortable, rooms were cleaned daily, a/c worked great, nice clean bathroom, microwave and mini fridge both new and worked great, table with a couple comfortable chairs, nice flooring and simple decor. Flat screen TV worked well too. Pool was nice. Tiki bar has solid cocktails at $10 a piece, great in tourist area and bartender was very friendly. We did the Waikiki Supper Club one night during our stay and the show was fun. You're paying for the entertainment not the food so folks complaining about the $60 food are looking at it wrong. The food was just okay, I got the crispy orange beef and it was just like you'd get from any Chinese takeout, nothing wrong with it but you'd expect to pay $15 for it. As I said the ambiance of the supper club and the performers is what you're paying for and we had a fun time. Great for families and the kids chicken tenders and fries were good. Great location too as you can walk to a lot of spots within LG in less than 15 minutes and for the price this place is 5 stars! I paid less than $400 for 3 nights in August - come on you cannot beat that! I was prepared for the worst but was very happy with everything. Staff during check in was friendly, staff at dinner was very professional and as I said the bartender at the tiki bar was excellent! My 13 year old son nicknamed this place the Tiki Toilet. He's not too far off. The bathroom in our room was disgusting and not clean. The toilet seat had a pice of used toilet paper stuck to it and the floor was grimy with debris in various corners. As an added bonus the tub was very slow to drain. Overall the hotel is very run down and in need of a major overall. The only bright spot was the friendly staff. This resort offers two very different sides: the hotel and then the motel. We booked the júnior suites in the hotel which included 2 Queen size beds, a microwave, small counter top with sink, separate area with pull out couch, jacuzzi tub, hair dryer, safe, coffee maker, and outside patio. (Sidenote: Always book for the hotel side as the motel dwellers encountered an issue which left them without running water.) We arrived early but were not allowed to check in until an hour prior to check in. We were able to use the indoor and outdoor pools as well as other facilities in the interim. Skip the indoor pool as it's mostly used by the kids and why would you want to be indoors in the glorious summer heat? The staff was friendly and very informative when asked. They generally give you your space-- which I like. There is an extremely cheap breakfast option on-site which you should take advantage of. It will not blow you away but it is composed of the basics so that you can be on your way. Btw their coffee is amazing! Again, this place is not the Ritz but the beds are super confortable and they are genuinely interested in making your stay the best it can be. It is close to the Lake although a bit on the Edge of the town. This worked for us as we didnt want to be in the middle of the commotion so that we could do our own thing. It would be nice if they advertised their karaoke and other evening events more but we definitely made the best of it. Dont forget that the polynesian show can be purchased WITHOUT the dinner option! Place is Worn down. We came on Memorial Day weekend they weren't ready for guess obviously. The outdoor pool wasn't ready wasn't ready on a Friday and still hadleaves at the bottom of it when we went down there at like 3 pm. The walls are so thin you can hear everybody's business in the room next to you on both sides. Inside pool which is supposedly heated felt cold and I had a dirty feeling when I came out of it. The whole hotel smells musty and damp. They need to reinvest money in this place. for the price I spent I don't think I got my money's worth other than it being in a good location. I stayed here for a few nights and it was a decent place. I'd stay here again since the location is a decent walk to the lake and easy access to the pier and beach. ** please note that parking near the beach can cost $8 an hour by the Around the World mini Golf. $15 for the whole day at the parking lot across from the pier or $10 with a proof of purchase from the boat tours ** Also the walk to the main strip isn't bad for those that enjoy a lengthy walk. The outside was kept clean and looked inviting. The scenery was nice and relaxing. As for the room, it could have been much better. The bathtub had two bars of soap left over from the prior occupants, the telephone wire was exposed hanging out from the wall (it wasn't even plugged in) and the night table wasn't sturdy it wobbled when you'd put anything on it. Also my main issue was that none of our towels would dry in this room. Even with the vent on in the bathroom. The towels provided are 85% polyester and 15% cotton which explains why they don't dry very well. I followed other occupants with hanging them outside to dry on the chairs and fence. Also the Wi-Fi wasn't consistent and I gave up and just used my data since that was more reliable. Also the ice machine never had enough ice. We went out at 11:30pm there was only one cube then the next evening around 6pm and there was only a cup of ice available. The resort offers $5 vouchers to anyone that selects their eco-friendly option to not have the housekeepers to remove the sheets. This saves on the cost of water and etc. However it appears that by excepting the offer, that means no housekeeping at all. We needed to call the front desk for new towels once the towels never dried after two days. Then housekeeping never can by to change the garbage and every night we needed to remove our garbage into the can outside of the room. They determine the vouchers from he length of your stay. I accepted the offer and received the vouchers for use at the restaurant. We mainly only ate breakfast at the resort. The menu is basic and not much of a showstopper but the food was decent and came out quickly. The waiter and waitress we had during our stay were nice and friendly. There was no issues redeeming the vouchers which was a huge plus. The outdoor pool was 4ft to 5ft and was a lot of fun. They provided pool noodles and extra towels were placed on the table for anyone who might need them. There also was a 12 inch deep pool to the side of the main one with is great for kids that are small. The indoor pool looked awful and very uninviting. Right next to the outdoor pool was a recreational area for a BBQ with picnic tables and a small jungle gym for the kids to play on. Overall there were a hits and misses with my stay although after writing my review and reliving my trip I would stay here again. My family enjoyed themselves even with the small hiccups. **PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING STAYING AT THIS HOTEL** I wish I could give half a star, which I feel is the most appropriate rating due to the fact that the people I dealt with at this hotel were not hesitant in helping my girlfriend and I. This is the only pro. My girlfriend and I decided that since we pass this hotel every year on our annual trip to Lake George, that it would be cute to try it. On the outside, the concept is adorable. Fake palm trees and all. We checked into our room late afternoon, put our things away, and headed right out to Lake. When we got home later that night, we went into the shower only to find HAIR. We grew weary and started checking everything. Hair in the sink. Hair in the tub. Hair on the walls. Hair on the ceiling. Pubic hairs too. My girlfriend went to go turn on the A/C, just to find dirt, little bugs crawling around, and what we seemed to be hardened mouse feces. We also took note of unrecognizable stains on the walls. I automatically picked up the phone in the room, just to realize that there is no way to call the front desk from there. I had to use my cell phone to call the hotel number. I spoke to Lori, and she was very understanding of the situation. I explained that we were highly uncomfortable staying in a room under these conditions. She gave us the option of switching rooms, assuring us that this floor had a different maid, so that the new room should be more sanitary. We packed our bags and moved rooms. Upon entering our new room, we checked everything. The A/C vent was sparkling. However, the hair was still an issue. In the sink. On the walls, etc. We decided that since it was already 11:30 at night, that there was nothing more that we could do and just hope that nothing else was wrong with the room. My girlfriend and I, GUESTS at this hotel, cleaned up these hairs and went to bed. The next morning, my girlfriend was brushing her teeth, when a full blown CENTIPEDE flies straight out of the sink drain, and lands on the carpet in front of me. There was no drain stopper. We decided we needed to get the hell out of there ASAP. We spoke with the manager of the hotel, Kathy, and she sincerely apologized and told us we would be receiving a full refund. The fact that we had to act as maids, switch rooms, and lastly switch hotels, was a huge inconvenience to us. We should have read the reviews more in depth before choosing Tiki, because cleanliness seems to be an ongoing issue. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Mid Century Modern Kitsch Hotel- this is a must see/stay piece of post WWII America roadside attraction! Traveling with friends we stopped at The Tiki. Staff was pleasant & helpful. Rooms were across from the outdoor pool. Pool was clean. And a small playground next to it for the little kids. Rooms are a little small but people have become larger since the 1950's. Rooms were very clean beds comfortable with lots of hot water in the shower. Mini bar was a good touch. Outside chairs by the door like the old school motor lodge it is. Indoor pool was awesome especially after a long drive. Oh, and there is Polynesian music piped in 24 hours at both pools & banquet room. Breakfast food was reasonably priced. Since it was the off season room price was really good - dinner show wasn't available until July but we enjoyed this place very much! It's not the Hilton but it's way more fun & nostalgia filled history than an upscale big box hotel. Will definitely stay again! read more

We had plans for Lake George this memorial weekend. While browsing their website for accommodations, I happened to discover their Polynation Dance. So called these guys for accommodations as well as the dance show. Somehow I reserved only for the dance show. This dance show comes with dinner for 42$ or so per adult. And dance show alone was 25$ per adult. So it was saturday and we were in Lake george, the same evening we were at tiki resort to watch the show. Since we guys (2 friends, my husband and myself) had only reserved for the dance show we got there by 7.30pm. We all reached the place by 7.20pm and walked towards the lobby...... The staff on board guided us to the Auditorium. This place is huge when compared to other places for Accommodations. We were in the auditorium and almost all the tables were filled. So we had to take the last table which was close by the bar and away from the stage. The show started by 7.45... This was much like the dance shows in the cruise. It is performed by a family. The head of the family was basically playing the guitar, his two daughters were the main dancers. His son in law was a drummer. His wife too danced for 1 song. There was a little girl of aged about 4 or 5 who danced as well and she was his gran daughter. All together they performed for 5 songs and there was a little talking session with the audience too. The team was great and all the performances were absolutely stunning. I must say the best entertainment in Lake George. For 25$ it was worth seating this show. Let me tell you, they only take reservations over the phone and you walk directly to the show, you pay the waitress the dance show charges / Any charges. We got couple of books which were on the newspaper stand in our lodge. This book had some coupons and this dance show had a coupon too. So look for such books to get some coupons and save a little ;) read more

Horrible. Dirty,run down, outdated, and unkept. That's just a few words I have to explain our stay at "the tiki"! By far the worst place I've ever stayed. Their website is a joke! Had they put an actual accurate description of the place they would have zero guest! I feel they should list on their website the fact that you only get 6 channels and are all local so basically this place is too cheap to get any sort of cable. They also do not have internet at all! This day and age to not have cable/net at $130 a night is absolutely,positively ridiculous!!! Next they do not list anywhere on their joke of a website that the Waikiki super club is only in the months of July and August! Next the pools are disgusting. The outside one is freezing because obviously this cheap place doesn't have a heated pool and the one inside is in a creepy,smelly basement with absolutely no air or breeze so you get a headache and sore throat from the massive amounts of chlorine they dump in their to avoid cleaning. Next I'll get into my room itself! Disgusting! There is a door in the room the goes to the next door neighbors so basically you an hear their entire conversation and tv all night long so forget about sleeping. Also there is about a inch and a half step to get into the bathroom so if not looking in the middle of the night you stub your toe which I, my husband and 2 year old all did! The hotel room itself was very nice only problem is there's no elevator and we had to lug all our heavy luggage in baggage is up the stairs it wasn't easy and sucked. There was a really bad smell the first day we checked in I thought it was vinegar but apparently was window caulk That lasted the whole day. When we first got there the lady who was working behind the desk wasn't exactly the frienndliest..was a little overly businesslike and couldn't even crack a smile.. Kind of rough around the edges. We do enjoy the pool and the fire pit on the deck and in the bar the way they're all situated together it's very comfortable at night. The breakfast buffet this morning was really lousy I am thinking it was because it was what was left over from the many tours that were there this weekend. The food was horrible old and had no taste. Yuk Ducks were swimming In and around the pool and left feathers and the crap in the water and on the cement around the pool. They apparently changed the chase lounges and made them a few inches from the ground.. I didn't get there get into one because I knew I would never get out of it one of our friends actually flipped over in it. Yes the toilets are very low to the ground in the bathroom they're very small and hard to get in and out of also. I have to admit that the bed was very comfortable though the pillows are a nice touch and We slept pretty good. read more

My room was filthy. There was a brown stain on the floor -- looked like spilled coca-cola -- and it wasn't cleaned until the second night. The floors of the bathroom were covered with hairs and what looked like black tar stains. It takes the staff forever to check you in. They move at the speed of a molasses spill. Never again. We booked 2 rooms paid $250 per night each. it was friendly check inn, nice lobby and paid extra $100 for BF in the morning. DO NOT STAY HERE. I am currently staying here and as soon as we checked in (after having a reservation for over a month) they lost our reservation in the computer and stuck us in a tiny hotel room. We are a family of 6. They then were extremely rude about providing us with extra blankets and pillows to their response was "check Your closet", and hung up the phone. I have zero cell signal up here and the hotel CLAIMS they have wifi. I tried connecting multiple times, resetting my device and settigs and cannot connect to the wifi at all. I went to the front desk this time and the man once again gave me an attitude. He told me "oh i have wifi, look! You shouldn't have an issue" and ignored me as i explained that i cannot connect. He shrugged at me and said it was "my problem " the woman behind me on line said she also was having problems connecting and he didnt bat an eye. The customer service is REPULSIVE. My family of 4 decided to stay here during our visit to Lake George. The location is prime! There's no need to drive anywhere, you can literally park your car here and tour the area on foot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in is at 4pm but we were able to check-in at 2:30pm free at charge. Check-out is 11am ... kind of a rip off but hey, most hotels are like this. Please keep in mind: This isn't a resort..... well not through my eyes! We opted for the pool-side option which was $200 a night. This room was located outside while the other rooms are located within the hotel itself. They have both an outdoor pool (9am-9pm i think) and an outdoor pool. Both are really clean. They offer a dinner and dance show (the dance can be bought without the dinner) however due to how small the entertainment area was; my family opted to have dinner somewhere else. I'm not exactly sure why this place has resort in the name because .......... there's not much to offer besides the pools and musky bar! However, the beds were firm and comfy. AC was working great and the water pressure was good! Don't expect too much from this place. I used the pool for an hour and slept here for another few hours so it was fine for me. But if you're someone who wants to actually spend time at your hotel, don't come here. read more

Save yourself the trouble and just go somewhere else. 1. They make a photo copy of your driver's license and credit card upon check in. When we asked about it they said that the credit card company makes them do it. No credit card company makes you do that. Then, they leave your info out on the front desk. Waiting to see now if my card data is compromised. 2. Ducks were swimming in the pool when we got there. Staff thought it was cute and didn't try to shoo them away. Isn't that slightly unsanitary??? Pool was also not very clean. Guests were cleaning it themselves. 3. Rooms are damp and musty. We had a poolside room and the floor was "wood look" linoleum that hadn't been swept very well and didn't appear to have been mopped. You can tell that they are trying to update some things, but the vanity is super low with a tall faucet that sprays water everywhere, the toilet is the perfect height for a child and the shower is about 12 inches wide (wall to curtain). 4. Beds are nice if you like the firmness of plywood. 5. Bugs. Killed 2 ants in my room. My friend killed a spider and 3 ants. 6. Ice machine gives you about a cup of ice. Don't even bother. 7. WiFi? Hahahahaha...nope. Total joke. Couldn't ever connect. But...they do have bottle openers screwed to the bathroom door jamb for your beer drinking and showering convenience!! My recommendation? Just don't. There are plenty of other nicer hotels along the same strip. Lesson learned. read more

Fortunately I was not staying in this place, I was camping in next door camp sight called Lake George Battleground State Park. We love nature and appreciate it and this is our safe haven running from polluted NYC, however 5 days of our vacation we were constantly infused with horrible smell of rotten garbage not just in campground but around their hotel, pool and restaurant . I went to ask them politely to do something about it but it only looked like that they are aware of the terrible situations from people who complained before me yet didn't do anything to preserve clean fresh air and fix what is in their responsibility. This place looked promising upon checkin for the 4th of July vacation week. However it quickly became apparent is NOT A RESORT it a run down hotel. The staff and maintenance are completely unempowered to address issues. First, no internet over WIFI as advertised. After several complaints about this as internet access was needed for some remote business work, we were told by staff that nobody else but you is having internet issues. So out of 100 plus rooms nobody is complaining about no WIFI? No wifi in all other areas in the place. Then why is my device picking up multiple secured hotspots from other guests? finally maintenance came in and admitted there was a problem but "only with Apple devices". The TV was cutting in and out at times. The ice machine was out of order so they had coolers with melted bags of ice in them. The icing on the cake is when we complained to management they told us to find another hotel knowing that everything in the area was filled to capacity. Highly not recommend and this hotel was not cheap. Management indifferent to customer concerns. Avoid avoid avoid. Oh by the way the bar cafe screwed up our food order but the barmaid was extremely nice and got us a free meal. The fitness center had no A/C. Had to call front desk 3 times about WiFi, then had to actually go to front desk before they called maintenance who did nothing. The in room wall shaker air conditioner only had one speed, loud and high. We wound up staying 3 days and bailed when we lucked out getting a another room nearby on a cancellation which was a much nicer hotel at less the cost. This place could be nice if management put some some money into the place and actually cared about the customer but it appears they are going to run it into the ground. PS.... when contacted back by a "manager" who did not listen to our concerns and continued to defend this one star motel, eventually she agreed to speak to the "owner" who naturally was not available at the moment for a price adjustment. We still have not had a return call. We will be filing complaints with a the better business bureau and the department of consumer services. read more

Not impressed with this place at all. Not in the slightest. Our room was filthy, and we had tried to seek some help with the issue. Nothing was resolved. So, knowing that you can't have everything, we decided to just deal with it and let the attendant at checkout know that our room was filthy and we were dissatisfied. The attendant told us she was sorry that the room was filthy, and that she would have a manager contact me within the week to discuss a partial compensation. Two weeks later, I call, and the clerk has nothing nice to say. I was simply following up. I would have been fine at checkout just paying for the room, but since the front attendant offered to remedy the situation with a manager, I decided to follow up. The clerk I spoke with today simply shifted the blame from the establishment to myself, saying, "we can't do anything if we didn't know" and, "I can't just give you a free room after the fact because you did stay here" and, "I wish you would have said something while you were here, because now we can't do anything". And offered to reimburse me $15 tax for our trouble. I didn't call to get a free room, I called to follow up on the promises the check out attendant had given. The room was filthy, the check out attendant was friendly but misinformed, and the clerk I spoke with today put the needs of her establishment before her client's satisfaction with the services provided. She also preferred to shift the blame to me, and stated they would have fixed it if they had known, and since they didn't she can't do anything about it. Horrible customer service. I stayed at one hotel that was cheaper than this "resort" and way nicer. Except we found blood on one of the pillowcases. We told the front desk, they moved us, and comped the room. Which we fought, but they said it was "the least they could do to ensure their customer's happiness and a better stay". This lady I talked to, "well, I can't comp a room, you know?" "I don't want you to. I was simply following up on what the front desk clerk told me and wanted to know how this would be resolved." "I can't resolve something after the fact, you know? Like, I can't just give you a discount because you used the room, you know? I wish you would have said something while you were here, you know." Filthy and poor customer service. Beds were also rather uncomfortable, and the rooms were very dated. A great line from the phone call today: "You already posted a review of us online, right?" "No, not yet." Just got home from 4 days there and have one thing to say, never again! I had requested an ADA accessible room and was informed at check-in that although we didn't have an ADA room, it was first floor and we were lucky to get that since they were too busy to move people around. OK, benefit of the doubt. The room was first floor so I guess we were lucky since hubby couldn't climb stairs to second. Upon entering the room everything looked OK. The tile floor was very, very cold and dirty and a bug greeted me in the bathroom. There were cobwebs, dust, dirt in the bathroom area, assorted bugs,and the room smelled musty. The WIFI was a joke. The bathroom was smaller than my closet at home. The tub and toilet, which only stood about 15" off the ground, were tucked in together. Day two we returned after being gone all day and the room hadn't been made up. The desk clerk came over with fresh towels and took the trash and apologized. Day three they had "cleaned" the room and sprayed something horrible-smelling to mask the muskiness. Lesson learned. Should have stayed at Lake Haven or Mohegan. read more

My husband and I will never stay in this hotel again. We booked our hotel for one night (a Friday?) and about three weeks before, we decided that we'd like to stay an extra day. We called the hotel, and they told us it was no problem, and that they'd take care of it for us when we arrived. Upon arrival, they told us that all rooms were booked, there was some sort of event going on at the local racetrack over the weekend, and we couldn't stay an extra night. I mentioned to them that when I'd spoken with them previously, they told me it wouldn't be an issue, and they pretty much told me too bad there was nothing they could do. I felt like because I look younger than my age, and so does my husband, that the staff felt like they could push us around, and that we were just going to take it. I might have thought of tacking on an extra star had the room been comfortable, it was a standard two double bed. It was small, and dingy. I won't stand for being spoken down to, or treated like my business is unimportant, so the Tiki can bite me. I mean...I won't stay here again. read more

Just got home from staying the weekend here. Check in was quick enough. We stayed in room 403 which is on the right side of the resort. The room was fine. I actually appreciated that it was tile floor and not carpet. No stains on the white bedding and overall it was clean. We did notice cobwebs and like a clump of hair stuck in a cobweb in to corner of the room. We called and asked housekeeping to come remove the cobwebs and hair and they did so with no problem. The breakfast was awesome, the drinks at the bar were priced well. Sonya, the bar tender was absolutely wonderful. She was welcoming, friendly and made a good strong drink. Karaoke was hilarious and the DJ was a sweatheart. As a matter of fact, all of the staff we encountered were awesome, hospitable and so friendly. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were clean and taken care of. It's close to everything, and in walking distance to the village. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the air conditioner in our room. It was set as high as it went and it was still pretty warm in our room. I remember wanting to stay here as a kid, and overall it was pretty great. I would definitely go back. read more

Lots to love at the ol' Tiki Resort. My better half and I stayed three nights at the Tiki for an annual tiki 'convention' in the Spring and had a wonderful time. Sure, this is an older property that's been updated over time, but still has that 'tourist town' rough-around-the-edges vibe that truly endears me to a place. We stayed on the upper floor of the newer building at the north end of the property and were very happy with the accommodations. Comfy beds, vaulted ceilings, well-appointed bathrooms, a big fridge and cold A/C made this a great place to call home for a few days. The tiki bar is top-notch with attentive staff who were happy to serve whether at the bar or wading in the crystal-clear pool out back. The floor show was incredible with multi-generational South Pacific talent eager to please. We'll be happy to return to the Tiki next year! read more

Stayed with my family for 2 nights. Room reeked of strong room deodorizer (in lieu of actual cleanliness). Room needs updating badly. WiFi was extremely poor, so we had to use our phone data. Although the shower was updated, it was poorly designed and water flooded the floor after each shower. The bathroom was in dire need of cleaning, especially the walls and door (see pictures). There was also a spot of what looked like blood on one of the blankets. The sliding glass door was dirty. There was a sign that said "do not enter for 24 hours-- pesticides sprayed." It looked like it was sprayed all over the door. Overall, we survived, but this hotel could definitely use updating if they want to charges $200+ per night. read more

I'm sure people don't come here for the food. And if you were thinking about it, skip it. Even if you're stuck here for an event that you don't want to miss. Note to the management when you serve drinks be consistent and use the 16 Oz plastic cup every time and don't give just put my expensive tiki drink in one of your small water cups. Also you should know your kitchen can't even make french fries with any standard anyone mildly expects, like the slightest to ANY crispiness, but if unsalted fries are your thing then people may enjoy that. Try using unwilted, unbruised, romaine in your caeser salad and add a little more than three of my average womans sized fingers of cold chicken breast to it. read more

Well checked in Friday morning and room wasn't ready till 3. Room was cold and seems clean. My standards are lot higher. Finger marks on the burrows , toilet and sink had quick wipe down. Could of been better. The room a/c works well but definitely out dated. The whole room needs a new coat of paint. The wood work in the room is slightly moldy and deteriorating. Carpet is ok and wallpaper needs replacing. Not a 5 star by all means but it's room. As for the breakfast I got say was outstanding. Eggs fresh sausage perfect and pancakes were awesome. A-1 !! Overall a good place to stay but if your looking for higher class this is not it. Had a good time. Outside pool and inside pool good shape and a nice bar to hang out in on the deck by the fire pit. read more

A must see for the Tikiphiles or anyone with an appreciation for anything nostalgic! The Tiki Resort offers a fantastic collection of Witco pieces, along with other great tiki treasures. The Polynesian show is very well done...as is the room where this show is performed! The staff is terrific and always focussed on accommodating the guests of the hotel as best as possible! The hotel continues to make improvements to emphasize its historic tiki/polypop heritage...as well as general improvements to the guest rooms. Visit the Tiki during Luau on the Lake in late June of each year to really feel the true energy of this gem of a hotel!!! read more

This hotel isn't bad for the price. Wifi sucks. Its a 60s hotel remodeled. Its clean and relaxing. The dinner special is $41.00 per person... It better b good for that price!? Would probably stay here again tho. read more

Just came back from a lovely vacation here at Lake George. We stayed at the tiki from Monday to Friday. Loved this place! Affordable, less than ten minute walk to the beach and Lake George Village. We had a fantastic week. If we don't go to disney next summer, we will return to the Tiki ! Just a few complaints-- the floors in the room are all tile, wish there was at least a runner rug. The wifi was not great. Also we had a problem with our room keys on the last night, which came at a bad time as my husband was trying to meet us at the beach for fireworks. The polynesian show was fantastic! I was leary about the price at first, but after 3 hours of entertainment we felt good ! Just a tip, for two adults and one child the show was $130 this included dinner, sodas and a beer. Awesome time! Thanks Tiki, we will see you again :-) read more

We stayed for 2 nights and did not spend much time in the hotel but we were happy about that. The cleanliness of the rooms is questionable. When we were checking in there was a cockroach walking past us (what a greeting!) On the flip side, the staff was very nice and when my friend complained about the cleanliness of her room they accommodated her immediately. The resorts location is optimal for those looking to be a close walk away from lake george town, and to be able to walk up the block for a view of the lake. read more

I booked @expedia.com for a really great deal, but that wasn't the case, so book your stay @hotels.com or directly @tikiresort.com, you'll save a ton. It was a pleasant stay at the Tiki Resort right in heart of Lake George Village. Check in is at 4pm, but checkout is at 11am, makes no sense (You ain't got to go home, but you got to get out here!!!). You're right next to Fort William Henry, the Million Dollar Beach, broad-walk, and a short walk to the downtown area which means no parking or traffic issues. The staffs are super friendly and helpful, especially Melissa at the front desk. The room is clean and suitable with comfortable beds, and the rooms are all non-smoking, roomy with all the amenities that you would expect such a microwave, fridge, coffee pot, lots of extra sockets for charging electronics, flat screen TV, and A/C. The front desk, lobby & halls smells musty, not sure what's that all about. Breakfast & dinner are available on site at a reasonable price, try the coconut shrimp w/fries for $11 bucks. Definitely a great location, if you stay here. Oh and the Wifi in the room is horrible, but works well by the pool. They offer a $5 rebate for a little less housekeeping a day, #GoingGreen. The parking is free and spacious. Definitely, coming back but staying in the main building. read more

I'm giving this place 4 stars because of the value. If it were more expensive I'd go 3. Overall, a decent place, but it does have a few downsides. First the pros: - reasonable cost - nice rooms. Good size, clean, ac worked great - good location - nice outdoor pool The cons: - WiFi is terrible, essentially so slow it's not even useable. Note to all hotel owners: invest in good WiFi for your guests. It's really important these days. - Some of the hallways and common areas have a really bad stench that is hard to describe. I imagine it must be that the rugs are in dire need of a shampooing. - the indoor pool is in a dark, humid room. It's a little depressing. Could use a lot more light, maybe some fake plants or something. - there are a number of rooms off the hallways and indoor pool area that are dark and empty. The hallways on the lower level have these odd open areas that have no purpose at all, giving the place a weird, deserted vibe. These areas should be filled with video games, pool tables or something. - the walls between rooms are pretty thin. You can easily hear conversations in the adjacent rooms. Gives you a sense there's a lack of privacy. - there is a cafe right in the main lobby that is closed all the time, except for breakfast. The bar is also closed all day, and dark. The snack bar at the pool was also closed during the day. These are just more things that make the place appear as if only half of the resort is open at any given time, and not a vibrant, active resort. My guess is that the owner doesn't want to spend the money to hire enough people to keep these areas open for guests. It's unfortunate. read more
