Babe and I came on a date night and Kaelyn did an awesome job serving us. She was super sweet and very quick with the service. I really enjoyed her presence. She had a beautiful smile which made the experience more welcoming and enjoyable. I ordered the chicken ranch sandwich with no pico and sweet fries and it was really good. The chicken was cooked perfectly and had a little smokiness to it from the grill. The chipotle mayo gave it good flavor and creaminess. The lettuce and bacon gave a nice texture and crunch. The sweet potato fries were just plain how I like it but they were cooked to perfection. Crispy yet soft on the inside. We also ordered queso with brisket chili and yall , it's one of the best queso I've had. It was creamy, the brisket gave it the perfect flavor, little bit of heat from the brisket. The chips were soft seems like they just came out the fryer but it pretty much melted in your mouth. It was a good meal and experience. Ask for Kaelyn when you go!

This is my first time in this place so I was looking for to have a good time. The ambiance is just dry I mean they had 500 TVs with football on and it wasn't real loud. But it was just dry. Although our waitress (Selena) was very pretty and had a great personality she was really slow. And when I gave her my money to pay my tab she didn't bring my change (18$) assuming that I was going to give her the rest of it for a tip. which was way too much for a tip with the so so service. and that kind of made me uneasy . but I just let it go. I had the hangover burger it was delicious it was perfectly cooked it was seasoned decent I had to fried pickles they were okay...but quaker steak and lube has better fried pickles.. The fries were good All my food was hot The beer was freezing cold everybody loves cold beer I would visit here again. I'll pay by card to control my tip

    Our drink order

Took half hour for our drinks to come once we ordered. Two bartenders that are close to worthless. 45 minutes to get our food. They must have some sorry kitchen help because there were only a few customers and most weren't eating. Girls that work there are nice. This would be a nice place to come after a Carolina basketball game but two stars is being generous. We will try it again in a year!

Visiting Columbia and stopped in for a bite to eat and drinks. Sat at the bar, and the bartenders were very friendly and helpful with my questions. Love the option of the 20oz or 10oz drafts. My Angry Orchard in a nice tall, cold glass was so good, and what I needed to end the week. I ordered the 3 Mini Beef tacos minus pico de gallo. They were crunchy, and flavorful. I didn't want anything too heavy, and they were just enough. Forgot to take pics, but believe me, they were appetizing. I love that their online menu has pictures of all the selections. That is very helpful in making decisions. I heard rumors that we might be getting a location in Charleston, and I'm excited about it.

Service was good and very friendly, portion sizes were extremely generous, and well priced. That said, the food wasn't great. Very greasy all around. My frittata had a ton of mozzarella cheese which added no flavor but a ton of calories, one bite of the grit cake and it had very little taste but a lot of fat in it. I visited Old Chicago in Columbia, SC on Friday at approximately 4:30 PM with my wife and sister…read more Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience we've had here, which was especially disappointing because we've visited multiple times in the past and always recommended this restaurant to others. When we arrived, we were told the pizza oven was down. That wasn't a huge issue, so I specifically asked our waitress if it would affect anything else on the menu. She initially told us it would not. After we were seated and ordered our appetizer, we were then informed that the Spinach & Artichoke Dip couldn't be made because the pizza oven was down. That directly contradicted what we had just been told. If other menu items were unavailable, we should have been informed before ordering. My wife ordered an Irish Mule, and it was poorly made. We've ordered drinks here before without any issues, so this was surprising and disappointing. I ordered the French Dip, and it was one of the worst I've ever been served. The sandwich arrived already completely soaked through with au jus, making the bread soggy and falling apart before I even picked it up. The au jus itself was unusually thick and slimy instead of being a light dipping sauce. The presentation looked rushed and careless, as if no attention had been paid to plating. The service only got worse from there. After our food was delivered, no one came back to check on us, ask how everything was, or offer refills. We eventually had to flag someone down just to get our check. I also think the wait staff could benefit from better training in professionalism and guest interaction. The overall service felt awkward and inattentive. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that my wife and I have always enjoyed coming here. We brought my sister because we genuinely believed she'd have a great experience based on our previous visits. Instead, it was honestly embarrassing. Being from New York City and Boston, we've eaten at plenty of restaurants, and this visit simply didn't meet even basic expectations. We spent $93.47, and unfortunately, it felt like money wasted. This wasn't just a mediocre meal--it was an experience that made me feel embarrassed for recommending the restaurant in the first place. I sincerely hope this was just an off day because Old Chicago has been a great establishment in the past. However, based on this visit, I can't recommend it until the food quality, communication, and service improve.

Our sever was Mariah C. and she was just as lovely and bubbly as can be. In a very enjoyable and genuine way not annoying at all. Please note if you think the margaritas are strong and you might be seeing double you are... Mariah is a twin and yes they both work there. It was a little chuckle we all shared when the Margs started to hit. We opted to get all shareable items... 1 Pitcher Casa Margarita 2 Mundo Wings (8) 1 El Mundo Salad Grilled Shrimp 1 Street Taco Chicken (3) 1 Guacamole Both my sister and I, enjoyed everything we ordered. The margaritas were perfect and both the salsa and the guacamole were a hit. The wings were both well seasoned and cooked to perfection. A good wing can always stand alone without any sauces and the Mundo Wings did just that. The El Mundo Salad with grilled Shrimp was lite and refreshing yet very filling. We shared it because we both wanted to try a few items, but acknowledged we could've order the salad and been satisfied. The only items that needed a little extra love was the street tacos, however a little salsa and hot-sauce helped elevate the flavor profile for us. To be honest the food and service was great but what made Taco Mundo a hit and a spot both my sister and I said is must on my next visit was Ida/Ayda (I forgot to ask the correct spelling of her name). Needless to say she was amazing, as a fellow NYer we just clicked and she really spoke our "same language". It was so refreshing to come across someone so cool and relatable. We really enjoyed our experience at Taco Mundo. Just A Note: The Casa Margarita Pitchers are $18 for Thirsty Thursdays.

My friends and I went during the NCAA Basketball Tournament, hoping to be able to watch all of the games at once. However, rather than having any of the basketball games on, they literally had a replay of an NFL game, a volleyball game, a TV that had timed out, and some kind of documentary on the other TV. When we asked our server if they could put the games on, we were told that they were unable to change the channels on the TV, as it was some kind of streaming service. Furthermore, we placed an order for drinks, and after sitting there for about fifteen minutes (15) minutes, got up and left after not seeing our waitress after that. If I were simply judging by this experience, I would have given The Yard negative stars if possible. However, my friends and I returned to The Yard to watch the NCAA Women's Basketball National Championship, and had a much better experience. It seemed that they were able to get the TV situation worked out, and we were actually able to get drinks this time. I know that this is the bare minimum for a sports bar, but they did show marked improvement from the first time that we went there. Our server, the bartender, and the hostess were all very nice, and I really liked the interesting sports regalia that was hanging on the walls. Overall, I'm going to give The Yard a generous three (3) stars, mainly considering the context in which my experiences took place. I hope that my first visit was simply a matter of needing to work the kinks out, and that future visits will be more in line with how my second visit went. I've yet to try their food, so I'll probably come back at least one more time, which'll serve as the tiebreaker as to whether The Yard is a worthwhile stop or not.
