I ordered the Pandan Killer Milk punch, which is 8yr aged rum, Planteray Cut & dry rum, pandan liquer, clarified coconut, pineapple, vanilla, lime, and nutmeg. I was truly blown away! It's simple presentation was deceitful in the best way possible. All flavors were beautifully captured and left nothing else to be desired. The Pina Colada on the other hand....my friend felt extremely underwhelmed. The other two cocktails we had in the party were the Ultra Violet Seventy Five, which was very gin-forward and the Snoop PPOG, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed. We took the pizzas home, and they were delicious. Our favorite was the sweet kalua. It was not overly barbecuey or sweet, but actually pretty savory. The margherita pizza was good too. In general, their pizza stands out because there is not too much crust. It was not crispy, but instead airy and on the doughy side. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because one of our group members found a blonde hair baked into his pizza slice, not just sitting on top. Two of our party finally complained to multiple staff; our waiter said to calm down and that our food would be ready in another 10 minutes (seriously?); and very soon thereafter, our food finally arrived. No apologies from the restaurant, no follow-up on why the order took another half-hour after their system was allegedly running again, no sign of our appetizers or wine. We were OK w/those last details because after waiting more than an hour, we were ready to leave. Our order finally arrived more than an hour after we had placed it, and the food was fine. After the meal, I asked three employees if I could speak with the manager; each was evasive or said he's hard to reach. Finally, our waiter claimed (no idea whether this is true) that they had no more kitchen staff, the owner was cooking all the food, and the restaurant was due to close in the next few days. The cafe can be found beyond their distillery in the large grassy lawn area. This space open, pretty expansive, and features bicoastal ocean views which makes it perfect for watching the sunset if you time your visit right. There are a number of chairs spread out over the lawn and some covered and uncovered picnic tables. We came here during the late afternoon and were able to find seats right away. They offer a food and cocktail menu that incorporates locally sourced ingredients, including organic vegetables and herbs from their garden. They have salads, poke, farmbreads (pizza), sandwiches, desserts, and more! Their signature cocktails are made with with their very own Ocean Vodka, Kula Rum, Fy Gin, and Brum spirits. They have waiters walking around to take your order, but can get busy if there's a lot of guests. You can also head into the little building overlooking the lawn and put in your order at the register, which is what we opted to do. There was a long line and it took quite a bit to order so I think the workflow could be more efficient, but the staff were friendly. We sipped on our cocktails while we waited for our farmbread and enjoyed the views while listening to the live music which is available daily starting at 4:30 pm. We ordered the Tree Pua'a and Uncle's Favorite farmbreads and both were delicious! My favorite was the Tree Pua'a and the dough to topping ratio was just right. They make their doughs in-house daily and you can upgrade to a cauliflower crust as a gluten free option. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit here and look forward to coming again the future. It's a short drive from town and makes for a great place to bring out of town guests and I love that it's not surrounded by homes or buildings and feels quite secluded and serene.
