Permanently closed. Out of business! No idea why. Sign on the door stating closed the rest of the year. Found that first week of January 2026 so apparent it was during the late 2025 holiday season that they put that up. Stopped by this spot looking for a replacement small mom and pop of one of my favs that closed down. I was on the hunt for some authentic enchiladas. The atmosphere of Two Amigos actually met the standards on what I was looking for. Even the margaritas where pretty tasty. Service was great and the off the menu salsa was delicious. To be honest me and my friend went today and I give this a eight out of 10 and she gives it a seven out of 10 reason being the server who attended us Sergio did an amazing job attending and I didn't ask, but I assume he was the only server that night if so props to him ask for the food review my friend got a beef quesadilla , I got the chicken Milanese and we both got a margarita We genuinely really enjoy the food. The margaritas were beyond the highlight of the day as well as our server. He made it very nice to talk to, and me and my friend made a friendly competition to determine how long the food will take just to have fun and he got the taco ready, for under 4 1/2 minutes geeeeez in overall I would definitely come here again to try a different food read more

My co worker and I are trying new restaurants around our area and came across this one. The greeter was 10/10 Food 8/10 Service 8/10 I got the lunch special the texano i believe and cane with bean beef and cheese enchilada and beef shell taco. The beef shell taco only came with beef nothing else which i thought it would come with sour cream cheese you know the works. I mean it was still good but just very plain. For authentic Great Mexican food, THIS...IS...THEE...SPOT. Food was so good we went the next day again. We (fiancee and i) love it so much we have become regulars at this spot. Hospitable, great smiles all around from the staff, great professional attitude and service. Frozen Margaritas are a GEM here. 3 of these for me and im buzzing haha. Food is so good and just a great overall atmosphere. Kinda makes you feel like your at a nice Mexican home. This is deff our go to spot for date night and great food. I'd give them no stars... they stole my wallet. Within 3 minutes of going out to my car realizing I didn't have it and walking in. My table was cleared off and my wallet was gone... the location only moved after I told them it was in the building and they "looked" for it. Our experience there was very good. Service was good. At first they give you a mild salsa, but you can ask for spicier red or green sauce. Our portions were generous, and the flavors were correct. I see other poor reviews on the food, so maybe we just ordered good items? We had plates of tacos, quesadillas, and camerones, all with charro beans and guac and rice, etc. I expect we will go again. read more

I gave them 2 stars because they are very friendly and I liked the atmosphere. The food is a zero. Pretty to look at but no flavor. I'm from Atlanta and was disappointed with my first Texas "Tex-mex" experience. We have much better food back home. Chili con queso was yellowish and had a grainy consistency. More flower and water than cheese. The poblano pepper was stuffed and fried beautifully but what was supposed to be ground beef was mostly carrots and I used half a shaker of salt trying to get some flavor out of it. I finally convinced myself to stop halfway through. I will ask a local next time read more

I've been here for lunch twice. The first time I went the food was super yummy! I had the flautas and they were not stingy with the chicken! Plenty of chips and 2 different types of salsa. The second time I had the enchiladas verdes. It was just ok my biggest problem was I don't think that they prepare the tortillas correctly before putting the enchilada sauce on. What I mean was my tortillas where so hard and made them difficult to eat. I ended up taking out the chicken and just eating it that way. I am hoping that this is a one time thing since my coworker said her enchilada lunch previously was good. I wasn't disappointed the first time so I will be back a third time and they have pretty cheap happy hour prices! read more

It hurts me to come back and edit this review, because I have loved this place for years...but the quality of the food seems to have dropped off in the past couple years. I suspect, but certainly cannot prove, that they are using bagged frozen veggies and reheated chicken tenders (rather than the breast - which wouldn't be a big deal if they would remove the nasty tendon in the tender before cooking it) for the fajitas. I love the tortilla soup still. It is fantastic. I want to come back and love it, but there is just so much good Mexican food around at reasonable prices...it's hard to compete when your ingredients are subpar to start off... read more

I would question the food before consuming here. I had a bad feeling about how sanitary the kitchen was after I went to wash my hands here. It smelled horrible and it was not clean. From what I see, if the business doesn't care about keeping the restaurant clean, they don't care about your food. Basically, I ordered the "lunch" fajitas and it seemed alright. Came home that evening and I started getting cold sweats and my body was locking up -- come to find out, I got food poisoning from the food at Two Amigos. It was so bad that I had to take off a few days and found out another team out got food poisoning too. I tried to inform the manager by calling him and telling him to try and get rid of the meat/from that Monday if he still had it in the restaurant. I didn't want any of their customer's getting sick. I wasn't complaning but rather concerned about the food they were serving. Unfortunately, the manager wasn't nice about it and said I was wrong and that I was making it up. Used to go here quite a bit because one could get some good deals on the lunch special. The food was never anything special, though. Went back after about a year and noticed that along with the new menu the prices had gone up a lot. This place rocks! My husband remembered going to this place many many years ago when he was down here visiting family. So we decided to go for dinner... It's in a strip mall and the decor inside is mix of native american and mexican art, and a variety of other random things, which are fun conversation pieces. The queso is awesome, has a very particular cheddar-y flavor that reminds me of Maudie's queso in Austin (my fave!). My husband and I each got the #7 special - beef taco, cheese enchilada. Ya know, people always talk about "authentic Mexican food". What is that? So, is it possible to visit Mexico and NOT eat authentic Mexican food? No mater how bad it is? OK..OK.. to me, this place has authentic Mexican food. Just like my mother makes, and she is from Mexico City. How? My mother gets her sauce from a can, thins it out with water to make it last, over cooks her meat, and waters down her cheese sauce. Why? Because flavor is not as important as stretching the food supplies. Authentic Mexican food. I ordered the Beef fajita nachos. Ummmmm.... Can you picture it? What arrived was my mother's beef fajita nachos. A medium plate, with a single layer of chips, a ladle of watery Velveeta cheese sauce (more accurately about two tablespoons), topped with a layer of skirt steak. The beef was over cooked, no marinade or tenderizing, and was tough....REALLY TOUGH! Just like mom makes. Crunching loudly on my gristly beef drowned out what my wife was saying across the table. NO! That's NOT a good thing. She was staring at me and looked annoyed. OK, stop crunching. My jaw muscles were throbbing a bit. "...I said taste this! I can't figure out what that flavor is." "OK...hmmmm... I'm not sure. All of this tastes like my mother's crappy food but these chicken enchiladas are throwing me for a loop". "The chicken has a funny, microwave, sour, dishwater flavor..but the sauce.. the sauce...hmmm, I've tasted this sauce before. But where..?" "Hummm,...Ummmm....wait.. wait....aAaah... PANCHOS!! THAT'S IT! These taste like the enchiladas at Pancho's Mexican Buffet...Errr.. sort of.. except for the dishwater chicken." OK honey, have fun with those enchiladas!
