I had such a great experience here! I stopped by one evening to watch a World Cup game in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. This definitely delivered! The bartender was very nice and they had servers walking throughout the outdoor patio. The big screen was great for watching the game. My chicken Cesar wrap was delish! I also appreciated that they had water throughout for you to help yourself. I'll definitely be back!

I visited Two Birds, One Stone for the first time on Fathers Day. It was busy, but I liked that they were taking orders at the bar counter. I ordered a smash burger with american cheese and all the fixins (mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion) with a side of onion rings. I sat outside and I didn't wait long for my food. The person that brought it out was kind and courteous. I watched one of the FIFA games on the big screen that they have outside. The food was really good! Another waitress had picked up my trash which was nice! It was a little pricey but they had included %20 gratuity (which I didn't mind at all) The weather was beautiful, the people that worked there that I came across were nice, the outdoor seating with the soccer games playing was fun and I liked my food! I really enjoyed my time here!

What a great little spot along the river! We stopped at Two Birds One Stone after attending our first KC Current game (yay!). I loved that Two Birds was within easy walking distance of the arena. So convenient! Many others had the same idea to crab a drink post game. Service was great! Quick and efficient service at the bar. I felt like Two Birds had a decent selection of draft and canned brews as well as cocktails. We didn't try any food, but there is a menu other bar food available. Loved the view of the river and the convenience. A great stop for pre- or postgame or for a lovely outdoor drink.

Great vibe. Beautiful views. Food and drinks available. Came here today for their grand opening night. We ordered a couple beers and sat outside on their patio, enjoying the sunset Hughes. There's a good selection of beers and cocktails available, however, they unfortunately do not feature any sours or stouts on the draft. Only one sour in a can and I don't think we saw any stouts at all. For a beer garden, it would be nice to see a better variety of beers, especially local beers (the one and only sour available was from OK). They offer a full food menu and the plates that came out looked very delicious, but were were not hungry for this visit. Will have to try their wings next time tho...those looked awesome! The service took a little longer than ideal as the few bartenders seemed overwhelmed with the long line. If there would've been a dedicated cashier it may have improved the flow.

This was a great experience for me today. Our server was very respectful and considerate. We were vendors for the KC current game! I ordered the KC brisket Philly! I give it a 9/10 I felt like the meat was a bit dryer than some but I loved it over all with the barbecue sauce! The environment was very much adult oriented but family friendly at the same time.

First timer here! I absolutely loved my visit here at Two Birds One Stone! I was a vender for the KC current game right outside of Two Birds One Stone and it was amazing! All the servers and staff were so kind and made sure my man and I were taken care of, the space was clean & beautiful, and the food was GREAT. I had the pub nachos and they were not like any other nachos I've had before. Delicious! And my man had a brisket Philly cheese steak with pub chips and he loved it as well! Not to mention one of the sweet servers whipped up a strawberry like limeade! 100000/10 will be back soon! (:

Tim and I got out today and made a stop at Two Birds One Stone Beer Garden along the riverfront and a few steps away from Women' Soccer Stadium. This was a great spot by the river today with a nice view. I do have to say this service was not that great as it was not busy and it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and another 15 minutes before he came back to take our order. They have a great selection of drafts and can beer. The menu is very limited. I got chicken fingers and french fries and Tim got KC brisket Philly sandwich with homemade chips. Food was just mediocre. Nothing really to write about. If you going for conversation, beer and a good time this is a very cool place to enjoy, relax and take in the views on the riverfront. I'm only giving this four stars because of the entertainment vibes as far as food I would give it one star

After 175 years; Kansas City finally has a riverfront beer garden!! Two Birds One Stone was my second stop of a solo pub crawl this past Saturday evening to check out a few new places in the downtown area. I really, really want to love this place, but my visit left me a bit underwhelmed. Visiting at night was probably not the best time to go, since the river and the park is not visible. The courtyard was set up with a variety of seating arrangements and some large screen TV's - although the deciding game of the NLCS was not viewable in favor of college football. Sad. Since I was flying solo, sitting at the bar was an obvious choice but the "bar" inside offered no stools, the upstairs was closed and all seating options outside were designed for groups. So I sat at a picnic table by myself with no view of the river watching a football game that I didn't give a crap about, sucked down my Love Gun Cream Ale from Heavy Riff Brewery in St. Louis and headed across the street to Show Pony inside the Origin Hotel for a bar atmosphere with conversation and MLB playoffs. I'm not writing this place off, I'm sure the vibe would be much different during the day and with friends, so I am eager to return and give them another chance under the proper circumstances - weather permitting.

Great spot by the river! Great selection of draught and canned beer. I found some new beers I've never heard of which was awesome because I found a new favorite. The food was pretty good and nice sharing portions. Service was great! Our bartender was so funny and made our experience what it was! It's very spacious and has a nice outdoor area. I bet it's adorable at night. Highly recommend if you are staying at the origin hotel!

Maybe this place is still working out the kinks...maybe it's just filling a hole, since there aren't any restaurants in Riverfront near Current Stadium (other than Show Pony inside Origins), or maybe it's just not that great. I'm not too sure yet. I've only visited once so, I'll have to try it a few more times to get a real feel. I wouldn't recommend going after a Current game because when I walked past it was insanely packed- and not in a good way, in a "I'm not going to get my food or drink in under an hour" type of way. So, I went on a night I thought would be an off night however, there was Volleyball league going on therefore, it was still quite crowded. Anyways, onto the food that I did try which was a salad. The menu itself isn't that adventurous and the day I was there they were out of the two flavors of wings that peaked my interest (which now seem to be off the menu) so, it pretty much contains a few appetizers, some sandwiches, burgers and chicken tenders. I was feeling healthy so I went with the one salad on the menu which was a classic wedge, one of my favorites. But, this wedge had a few problems. One being that the wedge itself was extremely unwieldy to cut with flimsy compostable utensils. Another was that it was missing some components including the blue cheese, which in my opinion makes a wedge a true "wedge". Also, the kimchi vinaigrette sounded so interesting and unique however, I didn't really taste any of the fermented funkiness that makes kimchi so alluring, I wouldn't have been able to pinpoint this dressing from something like a sundried tomato vinaigrette. The biggie was that I up charged the salad by adding a protein on top which was supposed to be fried chicken, as you can tell by the picture it most definitely was a grilled chicken thigh. Though it was juicy and cooked well it wasn't what I ordered and since I already had to ask for the blue cheese I didn't feel like throwing a fit over some chicken. I'm giving Two Birds One Stone the benefit of the doubt and saying 3 stars over 2 stars because, maybe it was just opening week jitters or growing pains of a new restaurant. Hopefully service is running smoother now and the kitchen knows the menu a little better than the night I visited.

Looking for a place to relax with a drink? This is it. I stopped by after work and enjoyed a cocktail. There were plenty of seating options, inside and outside the vibe was relaxing. You'll find a variety of beer and cocktail choices, along with a food menu. The staff was friendly. It's a great place to hang out with friends or just treat yourself.

My friends and I stopped in Saturday evening after attending the Taco Festival down in Power and Light. My sister and I had seen it during our stay that Tuesday evening at Origin Hotel. We were not sure if it was open that day but since we were in the area again we stopped in after looking up their hours. Two Birds is not far from the Women's Soccer Stadium. It's nestled in a newer development area-Origin Hotel, newer Apartment Complex businesses and hopefully soon the Street Car will be making its way down to the river area as it's under construction right now. Two Birds has a cool/fun vibe. There is indoor seating as well as spacious outdoor seating. It was a nice cool evening so we grabbed some nice comfy chairs outside by the fire pit. We were greeted promptly by a server. I ordered the Strawberry Rum drink which was delicious. They do have food available to order but we just stopped in for drinks. I saw a cool skee ball game on my way to the restroom. I stopped to play on my way out. I had played a random lady who stopped to watch me, it was a good game-she beat me though! My friends and I enjoyed our drinks and I even got to pet a cute doggy that was there with his humans on the patio. We enjoyed our time hanging out there and will definitely be back!

We went on a Thursday evening for a drink. We brought our dog and ordered our two drinks at the bar. Pricing was fair and service was good! We didn't try any of the food. The scenery on a summer evening is hard to beat though. Variety of chairs could seat many different types of groups. We had a great experience and will be back!

The outdoor area has plenty of seating and shade!

The space feels relaxed and approachable without trying too hard. Big open taproom, easy atmosphere, good energy. The kind of brewery where you can settle in for one beer and accidentally stay for five. Mary behind the bar was awesome right away. Friendly greeting the second I walked in, super knowledgeable about every beer on tap, and genuinely helpful without making anything feel scripted or sales-y. Hospitality matters to me a lot, and she made the experience feel welcoming immediately. I worked my way through quite a few beers: Hop Cuddle, the collaboration with Tall Trellis, their Mexican-style lager, Weathered Wit, Pavers Porter, and the rice lager. Every single one was excellent, but that rice lager was probably my favorite. Crisp, clean, refreshing, incredible mouthfeel -- one of those beers that disappears way faster than you planned. Weathered Wit deserves a shout too. Light tartness, citrus notes, classic Belgian yeast character, ridiculously refreshing. Everything you want from a witbier on a warm day and they absolutely nailed it. (beeradvocate.com) Also, I'm genuinely excited to see breweries collaborating again. Beer feels more fun when breweries are creating together instead of existing in separate lanes, and it's cool seeing that energy still alive in Kansas City craft beer.

They couldn't tell me what kind of coffee they used--a major red flag for a coffee cocktail. The Food (Bay Boy Specialty Sandwiches) They were serving sandwiches from Bay Boy alongside gourmet chips. That bread is the real deal--super crispy on the outside and soft inside. Because of the crowds it did take about 20 minutes to get our food but the girl behind the counter was really nice despite trying to serve hordes of celebratory drunkies. The Atmosphere Beyond the beer, the parking lot was full of food vendors and some really cool cars. Definitely worth checking out for the vibes alone!

Real people having real conversations with you. The food was excellent. I had a special that I can't remember exactly what it was. It was a pork shank served osso bucco, on top of an excellent mashed potato. A wonderful tomato-based sauce was served on top, and this fall-off-the-bone shank was delicious and indulgent and just what I needed on this cold winter night. I also got to try a schnitzel with sides of spaetzle and warm red cabbage. Textbook. Crispy, juicy, delicious schnitzel. Creamy, herby spaetzel. And a pop of acid from the cabbage. This is one of the best meals on planet Earth, and this place did it right. No notes. For dessert, we chose a scrumptious little tartlet from their glass cabinet at the front of the restaurant. It was some sort of berry, and it came with a perfect little quenelle of cream on the side and a mint leaf. Great crust, great filling, just a great little way to end this meal. Overall, if you are interested in the menu at all, you will love it here. And if you're not interested in the menu, you gotta get out of the house more and come here anyway. The service continues to be inconsistent at best--no patio service, long waits, and a general lack of attentiveness--but what's most frustrating is the latest beverage and menu decision. You can no longer order a single glass of wine. Instead, guests are now forced into purchasing a half bottle as the minimum entry point--starting around $25--for a very limited and underwhelming selection (Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc... and that's about it). No Pinot Grigio, no variety, no flexibility. Just a forced upsell on mediocre wine in a casual, outdoor setting. Let's be clear: You can order a single beer. You can order a single cocktail. But you cannot order a single glass of wine. In 2026, that's not just outdated--it's completely out of touch. This approach eliminates choice, discourages responsible and casual consumption, and frankly alienates a large portion of your customer base. What if someone wants just one glass? What if they want to try two different wines? That experience is gone. And the reasoning doesn't hold up. If this is about waste or throughput, there are countless modern solutions--by-the-glass preservation systems, or even high-quality boxed options like Black Box Wines that maintain freshness without forcing customers into higher spend. This feels less like a thoughtful strategy and more like a blunt, revenue-driven decision that ignores the guest experience entirely. So here's the question for leadership: Who is making these menu and beverage decisions--and how does this align with the kind of experience you claim to offer? Because from a guest perspective, this isn't hospitality. It's restriction. I'd genuinely like to hear a response from the team on this. Until then, this is a complete veto for me.

First of all, looking at my last review I realized that the Rad AF was the first IPA I really fell in love with and really changed the way I viewed IPAs in general - now they are my primary beer of choice which would have shocked 2019 Sarah to hear. The things I said in my last review still ring true as the beer at City Barrell anywhere you get it whether it's in the taproom or at the liquor store is pricey. The difference now is that everything everywhere is pricey and I maintain that their beers are still amongst the very best in town, so in short, it's honestly probably a slightly better value now than it was in 2019 when it's all said and done. Now onto the food. You're going to find bar-fare here and they do it really well. We had cheese curds and I had a sandwich and "fancy fries" all were delicious. Next time I'm going to do their appetizer platter and just enjoy all the bar food deliciousness. What put this into 5 star territory for me though was our server - she was so nice and welcoming - it was honestly just one of the best casual dining experiences I've had in a long time.

We could not wait to visit a Black-owned brewery in Kansas City! My party heard about Thursday…read moreBingo and decided to sign us up in addition to getting a flight. We came from the airport because our flight was late (big shock). The area nearby was quiet in a slightly deserted way for Thursday. There is an upstairs and downstairs, connected to a Vine Street Chicken place. One could drink/eat upstairs but the Bingo was downstairs. It was quiet for a Thursday, only 9 or 8 tables playing. We sat with our flight and listened to the numbers and patterns. We didn't win anything but it was fun. I got samples of East 71 (Cream Ale); Worth the Climb (Pilsner); Jazzman (Dark Lager) and Hood Saison. I got a full pint of the Jazzman as well. The only food they serve is VIne Street chicken, so we ordered that after the game; we wanted to eat downstairs so my party picked it up and brought it downstairs. There was eventually a bartender downstairs as well. One not great thing was that when we arrived at 7 or so, (we parked nearby) the bar downstairs was not open, so we had to order upstairs and BRING the flight downstairs. No elevator! It was interesting taking a paddle of 4 small glasses of beer down a flight of stairs. I guess after 2 flights we did not want to wait til after Bingo to get beer. The food was very good, the chicken and mac/cheese was great, but the only sauce I liked was the peach Bourbon. Yum! Both bartenders were friendly and helpful, and there were board games and sofas for cool nights, and a nice outdoor patio for sitting outside. There was a cooler of cans to take home, but since we were flying it was best not to risk it. I'd go back later if I return to KC, esp to get a few cans to drink in my room instead of paying stadium prices!
