I'm always paying this place on my way to get nails done. Decided to stop in and finally check it out. I will say the staff is absolutely amazing. The food.- for me. Not so much. I ordered the chicken sandwich. It comes with bread and chips I'll be at homemade chips but there are no sides with it and no lettuce tomatoes nothing just bread. I was kind of disappointing. And yes I know you have to put sauce on it but maybe you don't want to put a lot of sauce in order to give the sandwich flavor but not having anything else to go with it and you have no choice. My Leslie ordered the rib plate. I did not taste it but she said it was good. I can't imagine her saying anything is bad. But my question is always would I eat this again. Two Brothers BBQ East on Greenwich for our Christmas Day Dinner for our family was an absolute winner. The smoked ham was the best we've ever had and was so delicious! We found the front staff to be friendly and accommodating. However for a bbq spot, we found our sandwich to be light on the meat (isn't that what folks expect from a bbq joint?). Our macaroni salad was sweeter than expected and right in the middle a long lighter color hair came up with the scoop. That in itself would've provoked a return to the servers if we were dining in. Small restaurant great food. We are visiting Wichita from Florida so have been trying restaurants that are not national chains. Two Brothers BBQ was enjoyed by the 3 of us. I had the brisket platter with baked beans and coleslaw. My daughter had the chicken wings, and my granddaughter had the kids macaroni and cheese. All the meat was moist, juicy and had excellent flavor. All the sides were outstanding, probably the best baked beans we've ever had!!! This is a must visit spot!!! I worked at one of the hotels north of there and would dine there often for lunch always fast service the full arrangement of barbecue sides and desserts wonderful cobbler. The interior is fairly plain and bland, but it's not a date night location unless you're going just to eat they have family meals, which are a very good deal financially I would pick up a family meal made for six or eight and I wanna say there was three meats and three sides. Was on the road and stopped in to have some bbq. I was greeted with a friendly hello and looked around at a casual small town feel atmosphere. The food I received was exceptional. I had ribs and chicken wings. The ribs were succulent and smoke with love! The sauces offered were homemade and delicious. The wings had this crispy crunch that I'll never understand how they did that, but they were likely the BEST I've ever had! This is my go to place for brisket. I don't waste my time with bread and sides, I just come here for a pound or two of brisket and get on my way. There are other places in Wichita that have brisket but I don't like it being Chopped with a bunch of barbecue sauce on it. The food was great as usual; however, I want to specifically note how the woman working the front that night, Katlyn, was SO kind & professional. She greeted me with a smile, washed her hands, and genuinely asked me how my day was. We struck up a bit of conversation and were really impressed with her great attitude ... almost unheard of in today's world of food/shopping industry (especially customers coming in 30 mins before closing time)! We're in town for a quick family visit. As often as possible the goal is to go to unique places so reviews can relate to the same. Can't come to Kansas without trying bbq. From what I read on other reviews this is their ideal original location. This place is in somewhat odd location. There appears to be on older type strip mall that seems to be a bit dated. One or two open shops/eateries. It's about a about two blocks from a newer strip mall with more modern options and a car dealership. Now... let's get down to food and ambience. Very slightly dated but clean interior. Staff was pleasant and patient while we tried to figure out what to choose. We each got a two plate meal which comes with two choices of meat, two sides and a piece of bread. Food came out just as we sat down. 3 choices of sauces: Hot, Sweet & Tangy and Mild. Since I'm not into hot I can't share feedback. Hubby tried it and said it was fairly tame. I got the brisket and pulled pork. Both were tender. My sides was the cheesy cornbake which left me liking the flavor but wishing it was more of a cheesy cornbread. 2nd side was coleslaw. Flavor was good and not overpowering. I could eat more if it was free ;) Hubby had ribs and brisket. He said his green beans on his side was ok. His 2nd was mashed potatoes. No pizzazz to make you write home to mom about. Points added for military discount! I give them a solid 3.75 stars. They'd have a 5 if they wowed me. It was ok overall. Not somewhere I'd plan to try again unless I knew they were truly the best option. Another visit to town may deem a different review. They offered cobbler for dessert. I tried the pulled pork, fatty brisket,St Louis ribs, and hot links, macaroni, coleslaw, fries, BBQ beans, and pie. All the meats were moist and smokey, but the brisket was either super fatty or super lean, so they could have been trimmed better. The two sauces didn't add a lot to the experience due to a limited depth of flavor. The beans and slaw were pretty good, but the macaroni was chewy with watery Velveeta and fries were probably out of a bag. The restaurant is a little rough, which isn't so bad, but the employees clearly did not want to be there and we're struggling to be hospitable, which important for a good BBQ joint. Great place to eat, terrible place to work. I would like to start off with this: the flavors are delicious. The rub they use for their meat is definitely A+ and their holiday hams are to die for [highly recommend] and the owner is an amazingly kind man. That being said...working here is a very "good ol boys club" type of place. The managers are all related [a mother and her grown daughters] and the other employees are relatives [another daughter, a family friend and their younger sibling] as well as significant others/exes. While I adored the GM they were very anti-conflict and would often side with the main manager while also talking massive trash on them saying "thats just who she is. Do what the rest of us do which is ignore her and flip her off behind her back" who also has the worst customer service I've experienced in my 17 years of working food and retail with multiple managerial positions including running a few restaurants as the General Manager. My terms of leaving came from constant conflict with said manager who even went as far as writing me up for things that happened on other managers shifts and would write them as if she were the one who was there for what had happened even when I wouldnt be approached by the manager on duty or the GM themself about things. Primarily over a bluetooth headset which remained off 95% of the time [except for when we had downtime and I was doing dishes or after close] and it was primarily with me because my phone is broken and I need to be able to take emergency calls from my family. She would get in my face and scream at me and talk down to me all while doing things ok the clock that put both the GMs job and the restaurant at risk of being shut down by the BBB. When called out, via the last write up I received, I was fired because, and I quote, "Its just the best option. Its easier than dealing with her." So I was fired for not letting her speak to and treat me the way she wanted with disrespect from day one and not being a part of the good ol boys club. Its been well over a year and I certainly hope things have changed but I definitely will never go back to this location but hey it helped me pay my bills throughout part of the pandemic. We all tried each other's meals to sample everything, and the only thing we didn't rave over was a pulled pork sandwich. Maybe the roll for the bread would work better. While on a road trip to Illinois, we stopped in East Wichita for the night. We found several barbecue places doing a search on line. Two Brothers was close to our hotel and the menu looked good. We decide on a pound of the super moist brisket, a half slab of the pork ribs and some of their Smoked Brisket Chili. Yes I know that it is a lot of food but in Arizona, we are barbecue poor! The food was soooooo good. The brisket was the best we had ever had. Lots of places say that they have moist brisket but this place DID!!! The ribs were hard to eat because the meat just fell off the bones. WOW! so good. We loved the brisket chili and gobbled it down and wished that we had ordered a larger container. On the return road trip from Illinois we stopped at the same hotel and YES, we ordered more food from Two Brothers. We order smaller amount of food with a half pound of the super moist brisket a few ribs and this time I wanted to try the wings. OMG, they were huge and sooo good. Folks, I highly recommend Two Brothers Barbecue to everyone and want the people in Wichita to know that I am jealous of what you have available every day!!!! read more

I should have walked out when I saw all the flies pouring in the open window toward the back of the kitchen. However being a country boy from BBQ Country North Carolina I'm willing to do hole in the walls for good eating. However I was sadly disappointed by this establishment. I ordered the combination of three which was chopped brisket left in sauce, chopped pork, and sliced turkey my wife ordered the chopped pork sandwich special. All together with this and one dessert it was around $32 which I felt was a little expensive. Also we had to put up with flies landing on our food while we were sitting there like Beechcraft Airlines next door. Their sandwiches don't even come with fries they come with chips that have been sitting out in front of a heat lamp where the flies land on them constantly. To be honest you would be better off driving further down and going to Texas Roadhouse it's worth the $32 for two people. They actually measured out the barbecue like it was gold. Definitely will not ever try this again! For some reason they have a huge following here. I think it's because there's not much on this side of town near the Beechcraft Factory. It is also located in between a trailer park that was from the 70s and a 70s type of strip mall. Where are the largest Merchant is a bar in the back called Morton's that actually looks a little better than this restaurant. Definitely a place you should just keep on driving past.
