Hubby and I shared the 3 meat platter for lunch. Selfishly wanted to try several things I read about on Yelp. We had ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. For the 2 sides we ordered baked beans and corn casserole. We both liked the pulled pork the BEST. The ribs were good. The brisket "bark" was a little salty, but fine. The BBQ sauce was sweet and zippy and tasted good on everything. The corn casserole was interesting; it had a lil' jalapeño "kick." The baked beans tasted fresh made and rich. All in all a very enjoyable meal. Oh, and the iced tea was delish.

I'm always on the hunt for good barbecue for me and/or my husband and Pig In Pig Out didn't disappoint him! Although I found them while in AK, he was traveling for work and he went with a few others. He said he never would've found it, nor would he have thought to stop if just passing by. He asked someone else in line what they recommended and he was super nice to fill him in on the menu! Three meats, two sides and some Texas toast for a mere $16.00! Holy moly was he full after that! Staff was friendly and they all loved their meals! He said he'll definitely go back again when he's in town!

Farewell lunch for co-worker. 2 meat dinner!

Good stuff! Brisket is so good! They even offer lean cuts. I prefer the marbled. I will definitely eat here again! Not far from downtown.

Fantastic barbecue! I had the day's brisket sandwich deal. $14 for a brisket sandwich and 2 sides or 1 side and a drink. The meal was easily enough for 2 and maybe 3 people. Barbecue sauce was the perfect mix of sweetness and vinegar. The young woman at the register was very nice. Unfortunately, at about 4:15 pm, they were out of my first 2 side choices - coleslaw and corn casserole. :( The green beans was good. The potato salad was very good. I was in from out of town and I hope I can get back to this joint again sometime.

2 meat plate: pulled pork and hot links with corn casserole and green beans (pickles, pickled onions and bbq sauce)

Service was quick and the worker was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend getting the ribs or brisket. Ribs were fall off the bone good! Green beans were good, the corn casserole had some heat.

We just moved here from California and told we need to have the bbq so we came here. This was so so good, I thought we would try a few more bbq places to find our favorite but after this our first bbq place I do not want to try any others. Added bonus the staff was super friendly.

Absolutely delicious, meltingly tender and delightfully moist pork barbecue is ALWAYS on the menu at the PIPO!! (oo) This not-so-hidden gem in Wichita's north side industrial area had a line out the door when we showed up for lunch, which is one of our top indicators of great BBQ when we are the road. We NEVER mind standing in line because it gives you a chance to pump the locals on what to order - and we were told that while everything is good here, the Fireman Sandwich, the pulled pork, hot links and turkey are especially delicious. So based on our intel from the lunch line, in our party we got a Fireman sandwich and pulled pork sandwiches with a pint of homemade mac-N-cheese. Be warned: these sandwiches are GENEROUSLY stuffed with perfectly smoked tender moist meat, and was probably enough to hold me to breakfast tomorrow. The Fireman sandwich is a huge stack of a hot link (a REALLY HOT link (just the way I like 'em) On too of three slabs of smoked turkey and a double handful of pulled pork - in a bun. It was so huge I had to deconstruct it to eat it - but absolutely every bite was BBQ heaven. There were no complaints among by dining companions, who loved every smoky tender bite of their pulled pork sandwiches. When in Wichita, make a little drive to the north side of town and eat here NOW!! 5 PIG IN (and) PIG OUT stars

Way too salty. The ribs were inedible. While they were tender and fall off the bone, I couldn't eat more than a bite. I won't be back.

Yesterday, I heard the voice of angels... and it was coming straight from Station 8 BBQ in Wichita,…read moreKansas, my heaven on Earth. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was about to experience something special. My taste buds didn't just wake up -- they rejoiced! This wasn't just a meal; it was a full-blown experience wrapped in smoke and perfection. Let's talk about the legends first. Their smoked sausage gravy and biscuits, and Texas Twinkies have wowed me before, and I'm here to testify: they absolutely did not let me down this time. The biscuits and gravy were flawless -- perfectly tender biscuits smothered in rich, savory smoked sausage gravy that tasted like it was crafted with love and a little bit of magic. Every bite was comfort food at its highest level. And the Texas Twinkies - Amazingly indescribable. Smoky, cheesy, savory masterpieces with just the right kick -- the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate what's happening. But now... the revelation. The new pork belly cinnamon rolls with frosting. Let me just say this: talk about melting in your mouth. Sweet, smoky pork belly wrapped in a delicious blend of warm cinnamon and brown sugar. Slowly melted into a sweet and Rich caramel-like sweetness and topped with luscious frosting. It was the kind of creation that makes you question why all cinnamon rolls aren't made this way. The balance of savory and sweet was nothing short of genius. Station 8 BBQ doesn't just serve food -- they serve moments. They serve joy. They serve flavors that linger in your memory long after the plate is clean. If you haven't made the pilgrimage yet, go. Your soul (and your stomach) will thank you.

Another year, another restaurant pops up to occupy the doomed little building near 47th and Seneca…read more Everything about Sweet Willy's is heavy-handed, from the menu's cartoon cowboy claiming this to be the best barbecue he's had, to the amount of hickory used in the meat that ensures you're going to smell like the woods before you make it back to the car. Going so over the top doesn't help my old barbecue standbys: the pork was on the way to becoming jerky, the brisket was dry and the fat unrendered, and even the sausage had a casing that was too thick for my liking. The ribs, on the other hand, stood up to the smoke well, producing a caramelized crust that gave way to tender meat that came off the bone cleanly. I'm not normally a ribs guy, but it was one of the saving graces of the meal. What Sweet Willy's lacks in panache it makes up for in gusto. The menu is peppered with all sorts of non-traditional applications of barbecue, from poutine to chicken lollipops to tacos, though the most surprisingly enjoyable thing may be the burnt ends, which are tossed in a honey and garlic sauce that is not only more subtle than the KC-style sauces served with everything else, but surprisingly works well with the sugars in the meat in a way that doesn't overwhelm. There's clearly a lot of effort put into Sweet Willy's, but not a lot of confidence, no matter how many "yums" are on the menu. There's some good to be found in places you wouldn't expect, but the brisket and pork are serve as the foundation upon which the rest of the menu is built, so improving them should be the first priority.

The garlic slaw isn't too sweet, the sweet potato salad is a surprisingly delicious change from traditional, and the baked beans are the perfect mix of sweet smoky and a kick. I would highly recommend this dish if you want something filling but not overly heavy or hot. My friend ordered the sweet potatoes, her personal favorite, and raved about them. The service was great and the place had a relaxed vibe to it. On a personal note: it was really loud (for my taste) conversations had to be shouted to hear and it's hard to enjoy the great weather and outdoor space with the street noise so close ,the motorcycles that liked to crews by periodically to rev their engines several times during our dinner it made it less than enjoyable dining and for conversation.
