Nothing wrong with telling us that, because that's just what we did! We wanted him to be desensitized before he came back. The few times I brought him in, all the experiences were good! So much so I'd gush over how good he looked after grooming and how he looked well taken care of. He'd come home happy and maybe take a little nap. So, I decided to bring him in again recently. Same service as before, nothing different. The most I waited for my dog before was 3 hours (but I was given a heads up by the groomer that they were busier the day he waited for 3 hours, so not an issue at all). My dog was there for about 6 hours. I dropped him off in the late morning and he's wasn't ready until the later in the afternoon. I called to check in after a few hours, but was told her was in rotation to be finished soon... No one gave me a heads up about it maybe taking a while when I dropped him off. When my dog finally was able to come home, he was super dehydrated, immediately needed to use the restroom and was just lethargic overall (never an occurrence in any previous visit at this groomer or at any of the other previous grooming locations my dog has gone to). The stars given are only because of the positive experiences I had BEFORE the most recent one because I genuinely enjoyed bringing my dog here and this would've been a 5 star place for me. But based off my recent experience, it was not a 5 star service. I didn't recognize anyone there, (granted it had been a little while since we had last brought him in), so I'm not sure if they have new staff. However, I unfortunately don't want to put my dog through something like this most recent experience again.

I fully believe that they physically abused him. he has trauma and won't let anyone go near his ears now. please don't take your pets here.

I asked for a short haircut for both dogs and she followed my instructions perfectly. My dogs can be pretty fuzzy and a bit whiny, but Mi C. handled them with great care and patience. He was in extreme need of a grooming, with mats and hot spots after his previous groomer cancelled his appointment due to his temper. Happy Puppy took him in with only a few hours of notice. Happy Puppy was able to not only groom him but gave my dog his first positive grooming experience. My dog has always left appointments extremely anxious, but he came back from Happy Puppy with a smile on his face. I cannot wait to bring my other dog who has a much better attitude than my boy. I have been bringing my Doberman to this veterinary office since she was only a few months old,…read morewhich made my most recent experience extremely disappointing. My dog was in heat during this visit and was understandably a little more anxious than usual. While she did growl, this is not typical behavior for her, and I expected a veterinarian with years of experience and familiarity with my dog to be able to assess the situation professionally. Instead, the veterinarian never properly examined her. For most of the appointment, he only peeked his head into the room and would not come in. After I addressed my concerns, he finally entered but remained pressed against the wall, visibly fearful of my dog. It was shocking to see this level of discomfort from someone who has been treating her since she was a puppy. What was even more frustrating was being charged an examination fee when no meaningful examination actually took place. I specifically questioned the charge because, from my perspective, there was no exam performed. It felt unfair to pay for a service that was never provided, not to mention when I called to schedule the appointment I let the receptionist know that my dog was still on her period. Instead of telling me that it was too soon for her to come in for an examination she still scheduled my appointment. Once we began the "consultation" the vet tells me that it's too soon and that she needs to wait a couple of months. Why couldn't that have been said over the phone? We wouldn't have wasted our time to come in for a useless appointment, let alone be charged for an exam if the vet didn't even examine her?! I understand that safety is important, but if a veterinarian is unable or unwilling to properly assess a patient, that should be communicated honestly rather than charging for a full exam. After bringing my dog here for an entire year, this experience left me feeling disappointed, frustrated, and will no longer be bringing my dog here for any future visits.
