This is a decent place. I've been wanting to try Two Fourteen for a while because I always enjoy trying cocktail bars. The drinks were average but not my favorite. They add salt to the espresso martinis and it was a bit overpowering. With that being said, I was pleasantly surprised by the food! We split the scallops with pea risotto, kimchi ramen fried rice with chicken, and truffle fries. They were all enjoyable, especially the truffle fries! read more

Highly recommend Brunching at two Fourteen. First time eating here in general and had a great time. We were pleasantly greeted by the server who sat us promptly and offered suggestions for drinks which we gladly considered. My date got the Bloody Maria (tequila) which was really delicious just this side of spicy with the familiar tequila smoothness. I opted for the Media mule a very refreshing rendition of the old standby. I'm not entirely sure if they have coffee but we were drinking so not so concerned. My frittata had CHUNKS of lobster meat in it served with a sauce infused with its essence. I would not hesitate to get this again. The Morrocan Benedict was very tasty with the hidden gem of lamb sausage underneath the perfectly cooked poached eggs. Finished off the meal with flourless chocolate cake because...it being on the cusp of Valentine's Day and all.... Notes: Those in the know will sit in the airy and modern back room area. The Bar looked nice and is a great place to pop in to sit at in a pinch and the drinks are quite inventive. In summary, I'll be back to try some of their other offerings. read more

They have a dice game that you can play and get fun surprise different types of cocktails. My husband and I did date night here. This is a really great addition to Media! I came here with a friend yesterday and our food and cocktails were a 10 out of 10! The vibe is super cool and modern. I haven't been here since it used to be Diego's and I was so pleasantly surprised with the way they transformed the space! We had the Duck Duck Goose cocktail. Not only was it so pretty but it was the perfect summer drink! Very light and refreshing. To eat, we shared the chicken caesar salad, buffalo cauliflower, and truffle fries. All three were delish, but the salad was the standout! I loved the crispy chicken thighs on top. It added a lot of great texture! The service was quick and efficient! I would definitely come back here again! The only reason it isn't 5 stars, is that there was no AC on in the room we were sitting in and it was super humid. Looking at the photos online I was immediately drawn to this restaurant for lunch after jury duty. Considering the time of day it was easy to find parking right in front of the restaurant. It's allowed me to see the beautiful entrance, the open doors with a lounge set up. The seating flowed nicely into the very long and fully stocked the bar. I enjoyed my food however there were a few hiccups. There was several things on the lunch menu that were unavailable. My plate had known hair, YUCK. I loved the mussels with the Asian style with the slight hint of kimchi. The flavor was excellent, portion and prices are fair. Would I return? Possibly? read more

Went to Two Fourteen again - this time two of us for dinner for 'Dining Under the Stars'. We tried one of their amazing cocktails to start. For appetizers we had the tuna tataki and the Korean pork belly - both were excellent. Moving on to the main course, we then had the Hot Honey Salmon and the Hudson Valley Duck - and again, both were excellent. Prices are appropriate and service was reallllly good (especially goi em the craziness of Dining Under the Stars). Will definitely go here again soon! read more

Great experience!! Love the atmosphere, the food, the service, and definitely the drinks!! After a very terrible day my sister and I were looking for a place to unwind after travel and this was just the place. Plenty of street parking on a Friday night and we easily made a dinner reservation just in case it got pack. We had a ton of delicious (much needed) drinks and ordered a bunch of apps to share. Our favorite appetizer was the tuna tataki, amazing!! The Buffalo cauliflower was delicious too! For dessert we had a semisweet chocolate avocado cake topped cherries and it was absolutely delicious!! Unfortunately, I'm not sure that we'll ever be back in this area but I highly recommend to anyone that is!! read more

Get here before everyone else figures out how awesome this place is! We stopped by randomly and enjoyed brunch on a Saturday and it was super quiet. On the restaurant row of Media, I was surprised how varied their menu really was- they had my fave cocktail (French 75) as a standard offering which was a happy surprise but the other creations really showed an interesting flavor profile without feeling too try-hard. I ultimately went for the Roman Holiday since I'm on an aperol kick and it was so fruity and fun, and lasted the whole meal. They were out of a few items but the waiter was completely up front about it and willing to give insights into the other dishes, very prepared. I ordered the yuzu ricotta pancakes which looked flat and dense but felt light and fluffy on the tongue and stayed warm for ages. The knockout of that however was the hot blueberry bourbon maple syrup which added that rich spiciness you want with pancakes. My friend had the shrimp and grits and left nothing on the plate. The sweetness of the shrimp and sauce hit into the heat of the spice and creamy grits for something very interesting and enjoyable. Also bloody mary's were full and hearty as accompaniment. The restaurant has a clean modern luscious air and and fine sizes open front area with booths and then a back table seating area. Bathrooms were large and clean. My only quibble is to put what hours they offer brunch or note that all the menus are 24/7 so I don't get disappointed coming back! read more

I went to Two Fourteen Restaurant for a meeting with my new co-workers around 1230 on a Wednesday. There were 1-2 other tables present, but the staff member who served us, Charlie, was super attentive without being overbearing. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place, noting the accent wall upon entering and the booth with the faux-greenery, where we sat. I would love to see what it's like on a summer day with the garage-style door open! The bar seemed really nice, and the drink menu had me wishing I wasn't due on zoom later in the day. I ordered the Wagyu Burger and was initially alarmed by the size, and then alarmed but impressed that I ate the ENTIRE thing. As someone who prefers their burgers cooked more on the rare side, I can say that this place safely nailed my preference without also being judgmental of my insane temp choice. Everyone I ate with also inhaled their meal choices. Overall, it was a nice place to meet in the day and spend about an hour and a half. When my Wife and I want to get out of the house and get a delicious cocktail we know exactly where to go. Two Fourteen always provides a classy and comfortable vibe that ads to the experience. The mixologists are experts in making any cocktail that you need and they are patient to hear out your requests. Dealer's choice allows you to roll dice that will dictate your cocktail or you can go with a classic cocktail. I personally enjoy my sidecar or old fashioned, they never fail. I really dislike writing negative reviews, but I did not have the greatest experience in this restaurant. We looked at the menu before we arrived, it had some nice options with reasonable pricing, so we decided to try it. They offered us a booth, which we took them up on. The booths are in expo, which is a little weird and while the rest of the place had a nice modern charm and ambiance to it, the booth area is rather drab. Our server was nice and energetic, and prompt almost to a fault. Once we had our menus (the very same from the website), it felt like very little time had passed before we were asked for our order, which we didn't know yet so we asked for more time. She came back again fairly quickly and we placed our order. It all just felt a little rushed, but it was a busy night so I chalked it up to that. My wine glass was noticeably not very clean, with water spots and flecks of dust plainly visible. I wiped the rim of my glass and decided to let that slide too despite having dust floaties in my wine from it. We ordered "corn ribs" which is a Mexican street corn cut up into riblets. $12 on the menu, which I thought is a little high for a single ear of corn, but that's dining out. My friend ordered a burger ($19) and I ordered a chicken sandwich ($17). Both entrees are listed to come with fries, but our server offered us a selection of sides which was nice. I'd list what they were but I don't remember because I was dead set on fries - I love fries. I didn't really enjoy my sandwich very much, the chicken was cooked nicely but there was just something a little off about it. The bun was very dry and made me think it may have been a bit stale, which seemed to be masked by an abundance of grease and aioli. My friend loved her burger though, so that was a good point. Both of our fries tasted a bit stale as well. I ended up eating maybe 1/4 of my meal. It wasn't great. But if working in the industry myself has taught me anything, it's that places have off days and that's ok. I wouldn't have even thought about writing this review if it wasn't for how the experience ended. The server brought our check. The bill total seemed a little high, so I took a closer look at the individual items and noticed at 3 of the items were each a few bucks more expensive than both the physical menu we were presented on arrival and the online menu presented on the website. Our menus had long since been collected but I knew my memory wasn't failing me, and my companion assured me that I wasn't losing my mind. I double checked the online menu, which corroborated my suspicions. Each of the entrees was upcharged $2 and the corn cob was upcharged $3 ($15 for a single ear of corn). I mentioned it to the server when she returned and she said she'd go get a menu. When she did that, I looked to my friend and noted, "she's going to come back with a pristine menu that reflects these prices, and not the menu we were given when we got here", and that's exactly what happened. I let her know that those weren't the prices presented to us at any point during the meal and those were not the prices advertised online. She left to get a manager, who then came over and told us that they had changed the menu pricing "about 3 hours ago". He offered to buy me a glass of wine, but I declined. A glass of wine that cost the restaurant $2.62 per glass is not making up for the difference in pricing. It was a bad faith offer that lacked in understanding, sincerity, and integrity. It was the wrong course of action, correcting the bill to the advertised pricing is the correct course of action - something he did not do. We ended up just paying the bill and leaving. But ultimately I feel that all aspects of this dining experience were lacking, and both staff and management could use a bit more training and experience. read more

We sat outside and had lamb meatballs, tuna tataki and their soup of the day which was a creamy asparagus soup... all were delicious, especially the lamb meatballs. Great Mediterranean flavors with 3 different sauces that all hit perfectly. Entrees were a smash burger (two patties), the two fourteen burger, which was huge and the kimchi fried rice with grilled chicken, which had a great spice to it. Visited this restaurant this past Friday. Very nice atmosphere has partial outdoor seating. Quaint yet trendy decor with spacious seating for dining. The menu has limited for vegan and seafood entrees with more meat friendly options. I had the lobster Mac and cheese. Absolutely delicious with detectable lumps of lobster highly recommend. Also had the small plate mussels. They could have been more firm. Chose another option from there small plate menu lobster mashed potatoes and truffle fries bother we just ok. I was very excited to try this place out because it looked great for a home for the holiday meet up with friends. However, it was quite the opposite experience I had in mind. We had an 8 pm reservation for 6 of us. The server did not greet us until we had been there for 20 minutes. There were only two of us, so he may have been waiting for others to join but just greeting us for a drink would have been nice. My other friends got there and the server screamed at her to put her drink order in when her jacket wasn't even off. It wasn't until about 930pm when the music went from calm ambience to very loud scream emo music. I asked if we could turn it down, change it back, or turn it off and everyone said it wasn't up to them. It seemed that they did that to get us out of the dining room before they were officially closed at 10pm. I think this restaurant needs to reevaluate later reservations if they do not want to stay open until their closing times or have a team meeting about expectations. It was a bad experience all around except for the food and their cocktails. I will say the food was pretty good, but it was subpar dining experience. Maybe get take out or eat at the bar. read more

I had the chance to visit this restaurant with my fiancé on a random Tuesday night. I didn't make a reservation but once I was there because it was not crowded I decided to sit at the bar and have a drink. The bartender was extremely friendly, he help me navigate the menu and suggested some of the happy hour specials. I ordered a drink while I waited for my partner and a happy hour appetizer. I ordered the spicy cauliflower for my appetizer. It was delicious so delicious that once my fiancé arrived, I had a second order. While waiting I had a chance to talk to the bartender. He was very nice and from the area and was extremely easy to talk to. Once my fiancé arrived we ordered our meals. I had a burger and my fiancé ordered the ribeye steak. The burger came with truffle fries and the ribeye steak had a side of Brussel sprouts. The burger was delicious. It had bacon jam arugula and was served on a brioche roll. My fiancé found the steak really nice and love the sauce that it was in. What a great environment. It was nice to relax at the bar and have some time to soak in the good vibes going on there. I love this restaurant so much that it's bringing me out of my hibernation off Yelp. We walked in and were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful bar and modern vibe. We walked past the booths to the dining room and ordered the lobster mac and cheese, crab cake, rib eye and duck. Everything was cooked to perfection and if I had to recommend just one of the above, it would be... the duck! It was phenomenal. My husband's vote would be for the ribeye - it's a really generous portion and I think it could easily be shared between two people with an extra small plate or side dish. The mac and cheese is technically a side dish but so rich and filling. We'll definitely be back! Adorable!! I'm shocked at the mixed reviews actually after visiting! The decor inside is really cute and inviting, you are in media but it feels like you are at a trendy new place in the city! I went with one of my girlfriends for brunch and it was easy to get a reservation vs. some of the other spots in media that don't take reservations! We did not have drinks but the bar was expansive and the cocktail menu looked great! She got the blue berry pancakes and said they were great! They were really fluffy and came with fresh blueberry sauce! I got the breakfast burger and the meat was really fresh and the bacon was amazing! They let me swap the fries (trying to be healthy for a trip in a few weeks :) ) for a salad and it was also good. I agree the portions aren't expansive but we were both full at the end of the meal! I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed this place before. This was my 3rd or 4th visit here and each time it's been amazing. My husband and I went for happy hour last night and had a great time sitting at the bar. Jeremy and Jake were the bartenders on shift last night and were phenomenal. They started their new winter menu and it was fantastic. We started with the big easy peasy(sp) and the frostbite. I'm a sucker for a drink with and egg white and neither drink disappointed. They were so creamy and delicious. OMG. The frostbite is one of the most beautiful drinks in a frosty blue shade that you expect to be candy sweet, but you'd be pleasantly surprised by how perfectly sweet it is with a little bit of heat. The easy peasy is a perfect Christmas drink that's topped with nutmeg. Yum! Each time we've come we've had the pleasure of watching these mixologists create custom drinks and create new drinks they might add to the menu. I also got to taste one they may add! So stinking delicious! There was complexity of flavors and just an overall good drink. If your an old fashioned kind of guy, they make some of the best old fashioneds. My husband had two. Jeremy recommended one that he was in love with. It was smoky and sweet, but spirit forward. The knowledge that the bar staff has and shared with us throughout the night made it that much more special. If you are looking for a good craft cocktail you have to try this place out! I've only ordered wings and truffle fries from here and they were also delicious! I can only imagine that the other food is as spectacular. From the drinks, to the food, the vibes, and the service! They were very busy both times I was in and a bit slower but with the food coming out - though it was family style and served as it was ready which is nice. A bar, a few booths, and tables for four throughout. I was there on a Sunday night at 6 pm. One couple at the bar. A larger group at front table by door, and my table of four in a booth. Not at all crowded. Meatloaf was fine but tiny portion. We had a cheese tray (2 types of cheddar and blue cheese) for $21 that was really tiny. Way overpriced for the quantity. Wine was $16 a glass and good. Cocktails were about what you'd pay in Center City (I'm in S Philadelphia). I think it would be better as a BYOB place so host can focus on food and portions to make their margin. There was no air conditioning. Probably will not return. read more
