It was his first day, and he was expected to handle everything from taking orders to preparing and cooking the food by himself. He genuinely seemed to be doing his best, but I think it's very unprofessional on the business's part to put a brand-new employee in that position without adequate training or support. As for the food, most of it was either soggy or lacking in flavor. The Killer Fries were essentially just plain fries and didn't seem to have anything that made them "killer." The potato wedges were soggy, although the flavor itself was decent and they probably would have been good if they were crispy. The jalapeño poppers were fairly crispy and one of the better items, but they could have used more seasoning. The onion rings were probably our favorite. They were crispy, light, and airy, although they had a slightly bitter taste that made us wonder if the frying oil needed to be changed. The boneless wings were inconsistent. One flavor came out soggy while the other was crispy. We also weren't fans of the mango habanero sauce because there was virtually no heat to it. The bone-in wings had a nice crispy cook, but they were severely lacking in sauce and flavor. There were definitely some things that could have been good, particularly the onion rings, poppers, and crispy bone-in wings, but the overall execution and lack of flavor brought the experience down. I ordered a large onion ring and asked how large they were and I was told a good amount. The large onion ring is $6.99. I got a total of four onion rings so I went back to the restaurant and said is a large onion ring seriously only four actually I thought it was five but it's four. The guy that told me it was a good amount said we only have one size. So on the menu it says large $6.99 so that makes it over 1.75 an onion ring and that's not including tax. So I left with my four onion rings and each person got one. read more

Decided to branch out and try out Extreme Wild Wings for dinner and was super excited! However, things started to go the wrong way (unfortunately). First of all, we were excited to try out their draft beers and eat wings while playing some card games. However, their draft was not available - my partner wanted to go a different day when they did have the draft beer available but I insisted on trying it out anyways since I was already hungry. We ordered the 15 pc wings with large fries and 2 dips (honey mustard and ranch). For wings we got hot honey (5), bomber (5), and nashville heat (5). The wings were okay, it could of been crispier and honestly, the sauce fo rthe bomber didn't really stick to the chicken wing. The fries were okay as well, nothing special. Now, for the service review, they had great service which is probably the only thing that made me rank this 2/5 stars. Our first order was returned due to finding a hair in the wings (it was a long hair). So glad we decided to try "Extreme Wild Wings is such a jem especially if you catch their happy hour from 3 to 6! We were stoked to find $5 draft beers and $14 pitchers, even for IPAs. They have a solid variety of wings and sauces, and they nailed the extra crispy request. The mozzarella sticks and onion rings were also on point. I've been to Extreme Wild Wings 4 times since they opened and each time has been consistently delicious. The service is also great. Went with my cousins on a night where they had the AGHS football CIF final and got to talk to the owner, super cool guy. These wings are the best in the area, I can confidently say. They are much better. And competitive with their meal deals. The dry rub was FLAVORFUL. I was going out for lunch today and came across this place by chance. The location used to be a restaurant called "French Fries" (permanently closed) nestled in the back of the building between Little Cesar's Pizza and Jersey Mike's sandwich shop. I went in blindly without looking at any reviews first since I love chicken wings. I ordered a 10-piece bone-in wings. For a few dollars more, I made it a combo which includes seasoned french fries and a fountain drink. They have a very large variety of wing flavors to choose from that include both sauce and dry rub flavors. They have several levels of spiciness as well as non-spicy flavors. So many flavors in fact that I was told they couldn't fit them all on their menu screen. I chose Sweet Thai Chili and Jamaican Jerk as my flavors. It included dipping sauce of which you have several types to choose from. I went with my usual ranch dressing. It took about 15 minutes to get my order, which is about normal for most chicken wing places. The wings were decently large in size and I was told they are fresh chicken, not stored frozen. They were cooked well done at my request because I like the outside a little more crispy. They were cooked perfectly and were still juicy inside, not dry. They were great tasting wings and I have no complaints. The owner was very nice and told me they had only been open for 3 weeks. The female server was also very nice and friendly. They have several tables and television screens if you want to watch many different sports games at once with friends. They have both bottled beer and draft beer on tap. If you don't want chicken wings, they also have hamburgers and salads as options. I do like the chain restaurant chicken wings places like Wing Stop and their sides like deep fried Cajun corn on the cob. So no shade on them at all. But I also like recommending and supporting local small businesses if they make great food. And in my personal opinion, the meal I ate was great and the prices are in-line with the big chain wing restaurants. I highly recommend this place. After we sat down with just water, he surprised us by bringing over a free drink and some fries for us to try, simply because they've only been open for two months. I've honestly never experienced that level of kindness and generosity in a restaurant before. It speaks volumes about the culture the owners have created. We were very excited to try this place since we saw the signs go up. The wings are AMAZING by far some of the best wings in the area, we tried 3 different flavors, they were all delicious nothing like we've had before. The Sonic Boom had pieces of jalapeños which is very unique and spicy which we loved and the spicy lemon pepper was so good we've never had anything like them before not at all like the big chains waaaay better honestly not too spicy but a good kick to them. The spicy teriyaki were my kids favorite had a little spice and a nice flavor over all to them. We can't wait to go back and try other flavors and items on the menu. Easy to miss location since it's nestled on the back of the building away from the street. But it's pretty good. Wings much larger than any of the chain chicken wing spots and the pricing was generally cheaper. Double plus there. Got a 10 piece combo with fries, and a cheeseburger. Would probably pass on the fries and burgers, but the wings made up for that. Would still give it a 5 though, because the wings are what matter. read more

The MOST OVERPRICED PLACE IN ARROYO GRANDE CA. I went in to get the Sampler for $28.85 + tax as advertised on flyer I received from them only 2 weeks ago. When I ordered, it ended up being $30 + tax. Both boneless and bone in wings were small for how expensive they are. Both wings seemed like FROZEN things I can buy at the store and deep fry myself and put some wing sauce on them at home. DEF NOT worth almost $2 per wing. I def can make better wings than this place for that price. Sampler comes with Zucchini chips (they were spears not chips), very small quantity, Jalapeño poppers, very small quantity, tasted like Frozen ones at the store, and Celery & Carrots that they forgot to put in the bag. So I got 2/3 sides and paid more for the Sampler than advertised. $40 worth of food after tax and tip and I am looking in the refrigerator for a snack as soon as I finished it. Prices that high and food portions that small, this place won't make it very long. I tried to support local small business but this is why that is almost impossible to do. Overpriced and under sized.
