We went to Two Maine Guys, for the first time, last week. We were not disappointed. I had the Caesar salad, with grilled shrimp and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, with hand cut fries and he loved it. The service was fast, wait staff was polite, and there was constant traffic, in & out of the place. I don't normally give many reviews and so I felt the need to let people know to check their order.. And This was my first visit to #TwoMaineGuys. The restaurant is neat and clean they provide indoor and outdoor seating and they only have bottles beer and soft drinks, (no fountain drinks).I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries . And I was extremely disappointed ... The sandwich itself looked amazing. It had the right amount ratio of fresh shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions. The pulled pork was lukewarm and that's a SafeServe/health concern. Also the fries seemed over cooked or the oil on their fryer needs to be changed. I've tried the food from here 3x before writing a review. I've tried the pulled pork mac and cheese which was just ok. The steak tacos were huge (they have great portion sizes)- but still just ok. I also tried the poutine which was unfortunately also below average in taste. That being said, their sweet potato fries with brown sugar rub and smokehouse mayo were delicious! Would highly recommend those. Just sadly other than that, the food has really not inspired me to want to continue to order. The portions are very generous however which is nice to see! read more

We visited on a busy Saturday. The staff was friendly. The popular items were listed as such on the menu, so that made deciding easier. There were also many seafood specials I wasn't expecting and lots of folks were getting those to go. The Mac and cheese bowls looked amazing-but it was very hot that day and I opted for the burger. You order at the counter and have a seat either inside or out, and they bring the food to you as you are given a little buzzer that goes off when your order is ready. The seating inside consisted of about 5 tables, and there are several tables outside under umbrellas. We got two different burgers with fries and onion rings. The fries were great-definitely house made. The onion rings were fine, but I prefer a more batter dipped situation. I would get them again though. The burgers were fresh, but not a ton of flavor. I'm not sure if that was just an off day or what because we had a large number of locals coming in while we were there getting take out and speaking to the staff as if they were familiar with each other. Never had a bad experience here. Food is always hot and delicious, and the portion sizes are plenty for a guy like me with a big appetite. I always get the chicken bacon ranch mac and cheese, as the mac is very good, the chicken is juicy and not over breaded, and they don't skimp on the bacon. Loved the outdoor seating and the fish tacos were excellent! Two guys behind the counter were very friendly and helpful.

Everything was over salted. Servings were ample but the salt ruined the experience. Next time I will be sure to ask to go light on the salt!

I ordered around an hour before they closed and got 2 chicken baskets, i had high expectations as ive heard so much good about them, sadly the chicken was pretty dry and overcoated in salt, but i diddnt stop there, i waited for the next day to give a fair review, I ordered 2 more baskets along with mac n cheese, the chicken was so moist and flavorful! this was what i was waiting for, then onto the mac n cheese, it was scorching hot and beyond creamy and flavorful, 10/10 review! will def be reordering from them! read more

Food was ok. I had the pull pork sandwich. It had a gritty texture. It's very expensive. Especially for a sandwich. Service was awful. I was second in line to order after they opened. I waited 45 minute for my order. Literally 12 people came in after me and were all served before. Another 5 came in for phone orders and left. When I inquired about my order I was given extreme attitude and told they were very busy. She didn't even asked what I had ordered. When I asked the other person behind the counter a few minutes later she apologized and went to check on my order. I would not recommend this based on quality of food, prices but mostly because of service and poor attitude. read more

Found this place on Yelp--what a gem!! The haddock was juicy and crispy batter. The shrimp was perfectly breaded and fried. The fries are a must with the seasoning! Delicious! And the portions were large. Friendly employees and owner. Sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful cool evening. read more

My girlfriend and I go here anytime we're craving a fried haddock sandwich. The prices aren't terrible considering the economy right now. Their sweet potato fries are always good with whatever rub they put on it. The haddock filets are the size of my head! The dining area isn't big so I'd recommend take-out. 2 Maine Guys, Augusta After checking out the menu prices for their place in Richmond,(https://www.yelp.com/menu/two-maine-guys-richmond-2 ) I was kind of bummed out when we went to the new one in Augusta and found the prices were much higher. I guess I should have figured they were too good to be true. Well, we were there, we were hungry and after all the rave reviews, decided to try it anyway. My husband got the BBQ Combo dinner which was $17.00, and I decided to try the Poutine after hearing about it for so long. Bad choices for both of us. The Poutine was disgusting to put it plainly. The french fries were overdone and dark brown, the beef gravy tasted like it came out of a package, and the cheese curds were kind of salty and cold through 1/2 of the fries, the bottom of the mess was a little better because the cheese was at least more melted. I really tried to eat them, but gave up realizing they were going to make me sick if I ate anymore of them. My husband said the BBQ didn't have enough sauce, the chicken was dried out , the sauce was not tasty and ruined the whole thing...the best part was the garlic bread...even the cole slaw was runny and kind of yucky.
