We used them 9-20 and had no issues. My husband called other movers including a different location of Two Men and a Truck and Greg was the first to call back. Totally accommodating to what we needed and even though my husband GREATLY underestimated the amount of boxes we would have (he never spoke to me about it :) they were great. They showed up a little early and Jason and Joey were wonderful. Nothing was damaged, they made a million trips with all the boxes that needed to be moved out of the truck into the new place and they were great. It's a shame other people had problems but we'd use them again. Try to get Jason and Joey as your movers and you will have no complaints. read more

I used TMT yesterday for a relatively easy move. We transferred within the same complex from a third floor to first floor. Ben and Edgar arrived right on time and started immediately. They obviously knew exactly the best tactic on moving quick and efficient. To comment on the other poor reviews; if u have everything ready, packed correctly and trust them to do their job and not micro manage them it will be a pleasant experience. I had a very difficult move to coordinate involving senior adults with hoarding issues and 4 stops on the route for the day. Two Men suggested 3 men. Thank God they did ! The office personnel went above and beyond making a very short notice and a very complicated move happen on time and with 3 men named J.R. Jeralle and Darrick. They arrived at our first location looking fresh and ready even though it was their second move of the day. We started around 12:30. They had to haul everything down a long common driveway due to association rules then 2 stops to senior living facilities and we all know how fun that is , and finally my home to move heavy furniture from the basement to the garage. It was the fastest most productive and professional 5 hours I've ever witnessed. Amazing guys professional service and I highly recommend them. read more

Do not use this mover. They moved my antique furniture and a large bed. They Unwrapped my furniture before moving it into my new home. And they broke or damaged several pieces of my furniture. The mover threatened me he would stop moving when the truck was half loaded and threatened to leave, when i asked them to be more careful with my furniture. I was literally picking up broken pieces of my armour off the hall floor. 5 piece in all. Then they were nasty when i asked for repair. So i didnt let them come for fear that they would do bad repairs. They also moved me 5 miles and stopped for lunch and billed me for that time. the y are HORRIBLE. Ive moved to HI LA atlanta and back to illinois and had hardly any damage. These guys were nasty and intimidating. read more

Connor was the estimator and was very professional. Laura followed up and again...very helpful and professional. My movers were Robert, Ryan and Boston...ALL great guys! Very hardworking and paid close attention to not damage anything or nick the walls, etc. I couldn't be more satisfied. The best part was that I had them move quite a bit more items than the original quote and my final bill was only $30.00 more!!! I realize that all Two Men franchises are independently owned. Don't use this company. They broke all of our furniture while moving, put holes into our walls and over charged us by $1000. And also changed the hours that they worked on the contract which is $186 an hour added to the original bill. read more

I had a problem w/ my closing on a Friday causing me to have to keep my belonging w/ Two Men through the weekend. Even though they didnt believe they'd have a crew available until Tuesday, when a job finished early Monday they got them over to complete the move saving me a day of storage charges. In addition, they contacted me to tell me they had mis-charged me around $100 and gave me a refund (imagine that...an honest contractor). We needed to move our dining room set to St. Charles and return with our newer dining room set. We used 2 Men and A Truck for our daughter's move several years ago, and wanted to use them again. Although the move was not a big one, we were treated with respect by two really nice, professional guys, Dominic and Jason. They called within the early hours of our "window" to let us know they were on their way. Although they had another move before ours, they were dressed in clean uniforms and smiling faces. I want to think all of the guys working at 2 Men are as professional and nice as Dominic and Jason. I was really happy to have them handle my move. You can set the tone of your move by how you treat the guys moving all of your "stuff" by being nice to them. Oh, one more thing..my move was LESS than quoted by around $30. I would not recommend using these movers. I hired them over the phone and was quoted a reasonable price for a move of a one room office. The new location was just a block away. To begin with they showed up over an hour late. Then, when it was time to pay the bill it had increased by over $125.00 because it took them longer than they expected. Then, to make matters worse, my desk was damaged with 2 large scratches. Although the company did provide a furniture repair person after 2 attempts he was unable to restore the desk and now the finish is removed and it is like sandpaper. This company does not stand behinds it's quotes or its work. Find another mover. read more

1) Out of 5 big pieces of furniture that your company moved for me, 3 got broken. 2) The movers were not professionals, just 2 kids: one of them was wearing his shorts so low, that they would fall and he had to pull them up every 30 seconds. My mother, who is accustomed to very traditional values and me, were highly offended by unwillingly seeing his underwear and once even other "assets" hanging out. 3) The movers were moving deliberately slow. 4) The movers were not using any over the shoulder straps or any safety equipment. Thus, instead of moving my armoire using the bottom-over-the-shoulder straps, they lifted it holding by its trim work, and broke the trim work all around the armoire. 5) The movers did not handle the furniture with care and damaged the upholstery and broke the leg on my couch. 6) Your movers put my expensive dresser (1) on its side, (2) on the bare floor of the truck without anything underneath it, (3) moved it around with all of its weight being on the side, and = broke the side of my dresser. 7) The movers also damaged and took off a part of the crown molding from my armoire that is the same armoire that was left without trim work, after they lifted it holding by the trim work. 8) The movers were playing parking games to prolong the time. It took the movers 37 minutes to park the car, and they were arguing with me about where to park. 9) The movers were arguing with me and neglected my request to use the shoulder straps. 10) They did not follow OSHA or any other safety rules. 11) It took the movers 6 hours to move 5 big pieces of furniture and few small items like bedside table, coffee table, TV, printer and scanner. 12) I hired professional movers, I got a couple of block kids, who did not know what they do, who were very disrespectful to me, argued with me, disregarded my requests on how to handle my property, and damaged my property, who were dressed very unprofessionally, and when I confronted them that they broke my furniture, they replied: "Oh, no, we did not break it, this park just came off, and that is all." read more

We had a great experience in getting two PODS packed. The three man crew, John, Dominic and Ryan, were absolutely great. They arrived on time, they were able to put all our possessions into two PODS, saving us the expense of a third POD since we were moving a five bedroom home. Ryan packed the POD like a Tetris master. He took advantage of every space. Every piece of furniture was wrapped in shrink wrap and then wrapped in a blanket. They also moved a piano for us that day to another house and were great. Since our furniture went into storage and we won't see it till next March or April, we don't anticipate any problems when the PODS are unloaded at our new home in South Carolina. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I recently used 2 men and a truck to move my mom. I had used them in the past and they were great! This time around they were even better than the last. They ran into a little snag when they ran out of room on the truck and had to come back the next morning.. The Problem was that the new owners closed on the house at 9 AM and my Mom had to be out of there. The guys got there at 730 and with a new truck and had the rest of the stuff out of the house by 8. They were extremely nice guys and very professional. My mom has Parkinson's disease and during the whole move, the guys were constantly checking on her to make sure she was doing ok. I have used them twice now and have absolutely no complaints and will definitely use them again! read more

It was a pleasure to work with all three of them as you could tell they took pride in their work. This company was horrible to deal with and I would NEVER recommend them! I hired this company to move items from two households to a third location/house. During the move they caused thousands of dollars of damage to my belongings. Multiple items were dropped and damaged: A $250 security camera was dropped from a second story loft onto the first floor and broken; multiple pieces of furniture dropped off dollies onto the concrete; items were not wrapped to prevent breakage; movers rammed large pieces of furniture into other pieces causing damage; multiple dressers and items were damaged (one had 4 drawers and the main part of the dresser damaged); large gauges in furniture; chunks of wood taken off items such as furniture and framed mirrors; an armoire, double dresser and four poster bed from the master bedroom were all severely damaged; furniture was taken apart and hardware was lost making reassembly impossible; family antiques were were rammed into walls; a hockey table was disassembled from the first location and moved--the movers delivered just the table part, the legs were missing as well as the hardware to reassemble them--so the hockey table is now unusable. This isn't even a complete list of the extensive damages. When I brought all the damaged pieces to the attention of the movers they recorded some but stated it was late and refused to complete and document the remaining damage. They even stated, "It's not our problem." The company refuses to replace the damaged items (although the family heirlooms are impossible to replace). The man that appeared to be the head mover stated that this (our move) had been the most damage he's ever seen and that he was in disbelief at the amount of pieces that were damaged. I trusted this company to move a lifetime of possessions and their negligence damaged much of it. They only want to reimburse us a little over $500 for the thousands of dollars in damage they caused. They also charged us hundreds of dollars more than we were initially told and didn't even move several items because there was no more room in the truck due to their poor estimation. read more

Stay away! I have never written a review before but I felt the need to warn others about this company. To begin with, they showed up late, not unusual for a mover. Then, they added an additional $150 to the quoted price, again, not unusual for a mover. I only moved a large desk and a few boxes one block. My desk was scratched beyond reasonable repair in 2 places because the mover "misjudged the size". In order to repair the deep scratches the whole finish on the desk had to be removed. Now, my once shiny desk is flat and like sandpaper. We were forced to wait several hours on 2 different days for the furniture repair guy who also showed up at least 2 hours late on each occasion. When I asked for some repair to the finish I was told that the only choice I had was to wait another month and have the same furniture re-finisher come out again and look at it. Although we paid the extra $150 this company has never once offered us any monetary compensation at all. We paid them in full on the day of the move even though we knew the desk was damaged. One would think that they would at least offer to give the back the overcharge of $150! They are totally unprofessional, not just the movers but the whole staff and company. The do not stand behind the quote nor do they stand behind their work. There are plenty of other movers around, take a pass on this one! read more

We wanted to share a public review about our personal experience with this company. We were quoted for 8 hours for a move and was charged an additional 3 to 3 1/2 hours for the move. We had to pay an additional $550 over the quoted amount. They did not move one of the items that was quoted. The company stated after the fact that, it was suppose to be broken down, which was not communicated to us verbally. Of course, they stated later that it was written in the contract. We even moved some of the items that we were originally quoted for ourselves, but was still charged much more than our quote. We feel that this information should have been communicated better and that the quote should have at least been closer to what the actual cost and time it was going to take for the move. Very disappointed and feel that management did not try to work with us with the overall cost as they should have. We have one item still sitting at the old house that we have to make arrangements to break down and move, one item sitting in our new garage and unwrapped items and put away items at the new place ourselves. But, we still ended up paying more. If they knew that this move was going to be bigger than what they could handle, they should have better accommodated us. They sent an operation manager out to site during the move, which this could have been caught then to add more help, if they felt the job was too big. The disappointing part is that we did business with this company before and they did a great job, but not this time. They had to make two trips due to not being able to fit everything and still didn't bring everything. read more
