Two sals pizza and sandwiches are the best! If you call in an order you may have to call a few times but they'll eventually pick up.

I have not had all of the food here, but their pizza and sandwiches are I would recommend the pastrami sandwich, that things is the best! They're a family restaurant so a lot of times they're closed on holidays, and sometimes you have to drive all the way there to be disappointed. They make their own bread, which I think explains why their sandwiches are so tasty. read more

It's cash only and can get pretty hot if you are dinning in so call ahead, hit the bank, and plan for a night/day of yummy goodness. This review is only to reflect their lasagna... Food was flavorless dry and some what burn in some areas. The sauce was over sweet and lacking of flavor. I worked in Pico for about a year and a half in 1998-99. Started ordering from Two Sal's back then and have been an "infrequent regular" customer ever since. Infrequent because I don't work around there anymore but I'm occasionally in Whittier and on those days will often make a trip through Pico just to pick up food from there. Regular because Eric and Linda both remember me (by just my voice and first name over the phone) and what I usually order, even though it might be a few months or more between visits. Decent prices and great tasting food - very nice people who work pretty hard to keep the business going. This place is amazing. I ordered the avocado, turkey and cheese large sandwich and let me tell you it did not disappoint. If I didn't see the Asian owners running it I swear I would have thought I was at an Italian food place. They toast the bread in the oven and put tons of avocado. I love that they are not skimpy on the portions. Definitely will be coming back to try other stuff. The only thing is you have to wait awhile for your food to be done since this place does have a constant flow of people. Also no restrooms for public which means you need to bring sanitizer if you plan on eating here and go to the bathroom before you arrive. read more

I've been eating here since I was a kid...every Friday was pizza night & we always came to Two Sal's. The pizza is amazing but as I got older I wanted to try something else...the sub sandwiches now have my heart! They are absolutely delicious and made fresh. My fav is the avocado ham turkey cheese, it's sooo good! They're garlic bread is also tasty..the bread is toasted just right and it has just the right flavor. Every time I'm the Pico Rivera area it's a must to stop at Two Sals. I'm never disappointed, their quality of food is impeccable.

This place has been there for years. I have been going there since I was in high school. Now I've taken my kid's and they all love it. It's a small location and even pre covid it was more of a take out spot. Their sandwiches are great. My favorite is avocado beef pastrami. To top it off their pizza's are great too. A great choice for a family. We normally get our sandwiches and a pizza to share. Great meal. read more

I've been coming to Two Sals for over 15 years now. Despite it being a pizza place, I think that their main draw is actually their sandwiches. Bread is slightly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, with a toasty taste that can only come about by the production of caramelized sugars. Now that's just the bread. Among the choice of meats they offer include pastrami, roast beef, turkey, ham, salami, etc. Other fixings include lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini, pickles, provolone cheese, and AVOCADO. With competitors such as John's and Frumento's nearby, Two Sals has tough competition in the sandwich industry. But I will go right out and say that Two Sals has the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. Adam Richman had a special on The Best Sandwiches in America, and Two Sals should have been a candidate. For the reviewers who claim that they are 20+ year patrons of this fine establishment and say that their customer service has gone down over the years, I completely disagree. Perhaps they aren't very observant to see that it is run by two people. Mom and pop. Pop may be out delivering an order, which leaves just mom to take care of the patrons in front of her AND prepare their order. I'd find it hard to pick up a phone in those circumstances so cut them some slack. Their customer service is great. They pay attention to their customers. They remember how their regulars such as myself prefer their sandwiches. Now how can anyone say that their customer service is bad if they go the extra mile like that. If you have never tried the sandwiches here, I'd recommend either a turkey and avocado, or a pastrami and avocado. Disclaimer: Once you eat here, you may never go to Subway ever again. Yes there is sometimes a wait since it's only them. The husband always shows you the product prior to purchasing to ensure your needs are met. I love this place and highly recommend it! read more

I have yet to try their pizza, but it looks and smells delightful. The sandwiches are what I go back for again and again. The Pastrami is my favorite but turkey is fire too. Good size, good price. My only complaint is that it takes a while and its difficult to call ahead because they're too busy to answer the phone. But that doesnt stop me from returning and won't. Mom and pop store with the greatest pizza. The owners aren't very personable and good luck getting them to answer the phone to take an order. They hardly ever answer and when they do they are rushed due to how many orders they are busy rolling out and filling so I suggest knowing what you are going to get. They deliver but within only about a 5-10 mile radius otherwise it's takeout only. They have the great subs too but my favorite is their pepperoni and salami pizza. They never skimp on toppings or cheese and their pizzas are huge so it is definitely worth the price. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a nearby pizza place read more

I have been eating here since i was born, so 30 years! my family knew the owners before and they were great. I think the new owners are just as wonderful, and never missed a beat with the great food. The sub is the best sub on the planet! And i have had my share across the states. I once hiked up Mt. Baldy and when i was done was craving one so bad that i drove about 50 miles just to get one. The pizza is one if the best you will eat as well, gooey cheese and soft, but a lil crunchy crust. Da best! Two Sals is a hole in the wall by no doubt, and the only flaw i can think is on a hott summer afternoon, you gotta take your food to go unless you like eating in a sauna, cuz its a small joint, and with the sun beating down through the windows, and the pizza oven on, your gonna toast just like the bread on those awesome sammitch's. Well what else can I say about this pizza place other than its the best pizza I've had in my home town of Pico Rivera. Well for starters they put enough cheese to top just about two pizzas. And its quality mozzarella cheese(take notes rios :P). The crust is nice and balanced not to hard and crusty like frantones. not so super thick and airy that your eating mostly dough(hint hint rios and falcones). There best feature is there sauce. they add spices and seasonings thats so freakin' good that you will end up eating past your full capacity. :P Lastly they now take credit cards. So no more additional stops to pull out cash. Now there are other places outside of Pico that are comparable or better however this is for a place closest to home. Yes my only complaint is that its way across town. And if im not mistaken i think I fall out of delivery range. Anyway check it out if you don't think its that good then you can sit on one of there pizzas right out the oven. :P read more

What's up with this place? Strangest pizza place ever. It has all these positive reviews. Yet I tried to go this past Friday. Tried calling and no answer. Not even an appropriate message greeting if no one answers. I decided to just drive over only to find it closed. What kind of a small business can afford to totally close on a night that's usually one of their best business days? And then they don't open on Sundays either? Again, strange for a pizza place. I have gone to this two sals all my life since I can remember. Their pizza is one of the best with the cheese being so cheesy it won't quit until you cut it with scissors. I've been coming here for years. I've been to chicago and new york and I will say that this is one of the top 2 pizzas I've ever had in my life. Perhaps #1. The people are very nice and welcoming. Sandwiches are very tasty too. Not really pricey but only compared to 5 dollar pizzas. There are a few tables to eat inside but it's not a very big place.
