Beef Lasagna

Big, clean restaurant. Friendly and prompt service. The food was the star. Fresh pasta with a tiny bite to it. Rich sauces. Cheesy goodness. I could go on and on. And all this came after our warm, toasted, garlic bread and fresh tomato topping. The only thing we didn't get to try was the pizza. But we will definitely be back for that.

They are a great local Italian place. Consistent and quality food. Highly recommended before someplace like Olive Garden.

I spent $52 on just cannolis at Salvatore Italian Restaurant, and honestly... not even mad about it. That sounds ridiculous until you take one bite and realize these cannolis are dangerously good. Perfectly crisp shell, rich creamy filling, and the kind of dessert that makes you question every other cannoli you've ever had. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Also yes.

They have all my Italian favorites dishes, Italian drinks and Acqua Panna water!!

Delicious!! This family owned restaurant serves the best authentic Italian food. I brought my family in to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were greeted by a warm and friendly staff. Our waitress Chiara was super friendly and attentive. We enjoyed some amazing pasta , pizza and Italian salad. The environment was perfect with soft piano music playing while we enjoyed our dinner. We ended the night with some yummy gelato. We can't wait to go back !!! A must try! Buon appetito!

Ok, so I took the wife here on Valentine's Day (I know. I'm late on this review) well we only come here for the Calzone because it's what we love and we look forward to having it. Well today they only had about 5 items to offer and I'm assuming it's because it's Valentine's Day and they probably don't want to have the cooks going nuts all night with everyone going on a romantic date, keep it simple, I get that. But I asked if they would make us calzones and the lady said no they can't and won't, they needed to stick to the special menu for the day. Well time goes by and more people come in and they let them get whatever they wanted!!! And everyone after them as well. I really got upset because now I'm thinking they were just singling us out and that's not cool! Oh , and we were never even offered a refill on our drinks. Our valentine day meal Was ruined and I'm bummed because I will never go back.

We attended a celebration of life ceremony here, yesterday. We were about 70 people. The banquet room was very nice and accommodated us, well. The ambience was of good old fashioned Italian style. The food was delicious. We had a buffet, but the Lasagna, Spaghetti m, and Fettuccine Alfredo were all big hits. I do recommend this place, highly! Mangia! Mamgia!!

Expected restaurant-made dessert for catering -- received pre-packaged retail cake.

I've ordered from here before and recently used them for a large baby shower catering order (~$1,400 total). Overall, most of the food was great and felt homemade, which is why this stood out. One of the desserts (a limoncello cake) was clearly a pre-packaged retail item that came in the original cardboard box. It was charged at $68, while the same item retails for around $28. My concern wasn't the quality, but that this wasn't disclosed at the time of ordering--especially when everything else appeared house-made. For an event, I would have made a different choice had I known. I called to share feedback, and the staff member I spoke with was kind and understanding and initially offered to make it right on a future order. When I later placed a small follow-up order (about $40 for a pizza and pasta for my family), I felt that was a reasonable and good-faith way to take them up on that offer as a returning customer. However, I then received a call that the owner declined it, stating that this is how the cake is always sold and it has never been an issue. For transparency, if you're ordering desserts as part of a catering event, it may be worth asking whether items are made in-house. If not, that should ideally be disclosed upfront, especially if the item is being sold at a significantly higher price and presented alongside otherwise homemade dishes. This review is less about the food itself and more about management decisions, transparency, and how customer concerns, particularly for large orders and returning customers, are handled.

Spinach Lasagna

TLDR: They have a big menu so you will definitely have options. We ordered a handful of dishes that were Italian restaurant classics, but I just don't remember loving the food. It's fine to good, but not really good. Spinach Lasagna - This is probably the best bite of the night. It's a decent portion of lasagna with thick layers of spinach that felt quite light when eaten alone. The bechamel sauce was a good counter for this as it offered the dish a bit more of a body outside of the pasta sheets. The mushrooms added the much needed umami, but as mentioned in the summary, it is fine to good. Service - Better than the food. The staff kept a good eye on us even though the Dodger closeout game was happening during the meal. Ambiance - It gives off an older Italian restaurant. Intimate spacing, checkered table cloths, Italian words painted on the walls, with paintings of Italy scattered around the room. I like it, but a renovation may be needed soon to give the place a bit more light.

Kids Spaghetti & Beef Ravioli

Can't believe it took me this long to discover this hidden treasure. Old Vegas vibe in Montebello. Serving authentic Italian cuisine. Live piano player and lively atmosphere. To start we couldn't get enough of their complimentary garlic bread. Warm and delicious. For the main dishes we shared penne el salmone and lobster ravioli. Both were a home run. Flavorful sauce and cooked to perfection. Our kids shared a kids spaghetti and beef ravioli. They devoured their food. The cannoli's were tasty and crunchy. To end the night we zipped on a Cadillac margarita and an old fashioned. Generous amount of liquor made for an amazing nightcap. We also shared a bottle of wine. Salvatore is a restaurant worth visiting.

I have been on this butternut squash ravioli kick lately and we landed here for some yummy Italian food! Comp Garlic Bread and Bruschetta - OMG that bruschetta is YUMMY! The bread is good too. Caprese - that cheese! It was super high quality and tasted great! It could have used more balsamic glaze, as it was a tad dry. Manicotti - solid dish. Cheese was delicious! Butternut Squash Ravioli - the ravioli was good but a tad sweet on the filling. The sage leaves overpowered the sauce and it just didn't go great together as a dish. Joanna was the best! She provided excellent service throughout our meal. Everyone else was great it was a team service. It's a nostalgic atmosphere. Parking was very convenient in their private lot. Recommended.

Worse customer service experience ever. Phoned in togo order. Lady said 20 minutes. Arrived in a timely manner. Order was ready except for pizza. Twenty minutes came and went. Then 30. Enquired about order. Still not ready. Then 45 minutes. Told them my wings are getting cold. Still no pizza. As it turned out, pizza was with order all that time. I complained that order was no longer hot. They insisted it was. Got home to a luke warm meal. I vote that this business should spend some Yelp time at Gitmo !!!

If I could give this place no stars I would. I have been here before and it was fabulous. Found out that management has changed and it shows very bad. The vibe of the whole place was cold and very off putting. They had Easter decor up which was the nicest thing. Now to get to our service and food . We were served by the manager. He was rushing us to order and very rude when we would ask for items. Then he also yelled at another server when we asked for something. That's not how you do customer service or business. We ordered the lobster ravioli and a meatball sandwich. We also order two drinks. My mom wanted to switch hers and when she asked him he looked pissed off. Plus he charged us for the other drink she returned. Then when we asked our server for the bruschetta bread we got soft bread with butter and the topping. They cut cost and labor. We used to get the little hard round bruschetta and now we get this bread. It's sad. The potato salad had so much damm vinegar you could smell it. The food has become bad. They seem to not check dates on sauces or anything. We got so sick from it all. No we get to spend our holiday at home sick . Thanks for nothing we won't be back. People save your money and find a better place to eat . If you don't want food poisoning

The mashed potatoes were incredibly soft, creamy, and full of flavor. We ordered the Margherita pizza and a cheese pizza for the kids, and both were delicious. The pizzas were cooked in a wood-fired brick oven, and you could really taste the difference. The carbonara was one of my favorite dishes. It came with an egg yolk on top that you mix into the pasta, making it rich, creamy, and flavorful. The lobster linguine was another standout dish. We also ordered the pork wings, which were so tender they practically fell off the bone and were served over delicious mashed potatoes. The mushroom ravioli was unique, comforting, and packed with flavor. We also shared the ribeye steak, which was cooked perfectly and was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. What really made the experience special was the service. The owner regularly stopped by to check on our table and make sure everything was good, and everyone working there was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was excellent, and every dish tasted like it was made with care and love. The meatballs were flavorful, tender, and a great way to kick off dinner. The pork wings, though, just weren't for me I'd pass on those next time. The arugula salad was fresh and balanced, and we paired everything with a couple of IPAs, which hit the spot. For the mains, the Carbonara was rich, creamy, and exactly what you'd expect from a comforting pasta dish. The standout of the night was the Amatriciana pizza easily my favorite. Crispy crust, great flavor, and one of those pizzas you keep reaching back for. Overall, if you're looking for a local Italian spot for a relaxed Sunday family dinner, this place is worth checking out. Good food, cozy atmosphere, and enough highlights to bring us back. Solid 4 stars.

Unfortunately, the meatball sandwich just didn't live up to my expectations. Maybe it was an off day, but the meatballs and sauce were pretty underwhelming, and there was barely any cheese--it honestly felt like a few strands accidentally landed on the sandwich rather than being intentionally added. Considering the price, I expected a lot more. I'm sure there may be other items on the menu that people love, but I went specifically for the meatball sandwich, and it missed the mark for me. I don't see myself coming back, which is disappointing because I really wanted to like this place.

They use the same parking lot as Summerfield so it can get busy at some times. I called in to place an order for dinner and it was super easy and convenient. I ordered their Di Pilla Special pizza and a medium Parpadelle special pasta. The total for these dishes came out to be $62. Their portions are quite large since they're a family style restaurant. They also gave us complimentary bread which tasted amazing! I will say that I felt really heavy and full after this meal so this is definitely a cheat meal type of food. Food: Parpadelle Special Pasta (9/10): The noodles are huge and thick and the sauce gets absorbed perfectly. There's mushrooms, spinach, chicken with a white sauce base. They loaded this dish up with sauce which was heavenly. I even dipped my complimentary bread in the sauce because it just tasted that good. The chicken was so soft and wasn't overcooked at all. Between a family of three, there was a perfect amount and didn't have any leftovers. Di Pilla Special Pizza (9/10): Wow, the amount of toppings? Insane. We ordered the medium size which is a 14 inch. There was pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, hamburger, and bacon. I had to go back to their menu to see what toppings there were because wow was there a load full. I thought that the mushroom and bell pepper did overpower most of the slice. We had so many slices left over because of how full each slice makes you. I had it the day after and It was still tasty. I need to come back and try their other menu options. They have so many options to choose from which gets overwhelming because everything sounds amazing!

The shrimp linguine another hit with fresh tomatoes and jumbo shrimp with a nice snap. The light seasoning with lots of garlic was just perfect. We also ordered the beef short ribs. To add to the dining experience we watched as patrons steadily came and went throughout the evening. You can tell this is a favorite for many. Needless to say, we were so right! We were greeted and sat with no reservation at around 4:30pm, thankfully there was no wait at that time. However, the restaurant quickly filled up. Our server was very attentive but not over bearing. For our appetizer, we chose bruschetta. 12/10 The perfectly dressed tomatoes and basil sat on a pillowy burrata cloud and melted in your mouth. YUMMMM!! I opted for the penne ala vodka, while she chose the bolognese. 10/10 The penne w/vodka sauce had a surprising hint of spice that was decadent and savory. The bolognese had a slightly creamier taste without the spice and was equally as flavorful. Finally, we ordered the lemon butter cake. 10/10 When I tell you this cake was delicious ... woahhh!! It was a nice crisp butter cake but the lemon zest paired with the coulis and fruit gave the perfect balance. We were told the restaurant would be closing and that it was the final day of service. Made us both bummed to hear since the hospitality and true Italian food with homemade pasta was such a delight. Impeccable place overall! I work a couple minutes away so the drive there is quick which is perfect for my 30 minute lunch break. I tend to either order my food ahead of time so it can be ready and I just pick it up and go or I drive somewhere where I know it's quick and easy because they're not busy or because they have specials ready to pick up. Anyways, After we (the 4 people) walked in ....no one else came in, so it wasn't crazy with a line. I usually come in and get the 2 slice special. Wait is usually nonexistent since the slices are literally ready to put in a box. I was helped by another guy today (black beard, black shirt ) and felt there was no urgency from him during the " lunch hour". The pace was the same if there were 100 people or 1 of us. He took my order I sat down, he helped someone else then someone else then he shuffled some papers and got distracted by a little girl yelling across the street while waiting at the bus stop, then he headed to the back to do whatever and then came back out and answered the phone which is when I walked up and asked for a refund. I waited for a min and he noticed me then started getting the box ready for my slices and I told him to just give me a refund. He asked another guy to come over and he returned my funds back to my card and I kept the receipt and he apologized. I attached the receipt to show the time when I finally walked out 11:43 am 10 minutes after my order for two slices ready to go only a step away from the cashier. I never even got the soda cup to sip on while I waited. I may or may not return. If I do return and I see the gentleman in the black shirt that helped me today I'll just walk out. Most likely I won't be returning off this ONE experience. Do I recommend the food ? Yes Is the staff nice and attentive? Yes, Most of them Make what you want with this review but this was my experience today. I would've put this at a 4/5 review based of my past experiences but today made me drop it to 3/5. Hope this restaurant does well. I know it's hard for businesses to exist with the current economy which would make you think people should be thankful for their jobs and their income. I ordered half cheese and half their specialty pizza, which includes mozzarella, Romano cheese, house tomato sauce, Italian sausage, pepperoni, salami, mushrooms, onions, and green bell peppers. Their small pizza is 12 inches and has 8 slices, which is much larger than other places. Petrillo's Specialty Pizza is stacked with generous toppings and has a doughy but crispy bottom - the best of both worlds. I enjoyed the Specialty pizza, especially the Italian sausage. While I'm not a mushroom fan, I ate them anyway. I'll likely hold off on mushrooms next time. They provide generous amounts of complimentary crushed red pepper packets, paper plates, and napkins. Parmesan cheese packets cost extra, about $0.50 each, if I remember correctly. The staff were friendly and are local residents, which is always great to see in a mom-and-pop business. I called when I left and and talked to a manager and explain to him about his insane cashier, and he told me to come back for my money but I don't want I go near that place ever again. Keep my money and hire people who can do basic math and know human decency.

He always makes us laugh and smile and improves the entire experience. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does as a chef and puts his whole heart and soul into each dish. Jesse also is quick to answer any questions we have regarding the food, especially with how to reheat certain dishes at home later. The staff at Uovo is incredible and you can tell they want you to have the best experience. The environment has always been welcoming and kind. Further, the staff is extremely accommodating with any and all allergies/food restrictions. My mom is vegan and I'm vegetarian, and that has never been an issue at all. We've never left feeling bloated or sick once. If there is a long wait during the rush hours, their staff upfront is prompt and alerts you immediately when your table/seat at the bar is ready. Oftentimes, the wait they tell us is usually longer than what we end up actually waiting, so they're all very efficient.

Easily one of the best meal/experiences I've ever had. Thomas was amazing and his attention to…read moredetail and service were incredible. The cheese and truffle pairing were so good! You have to try it if you're here! Service was amazing and food is as good as if you were in Italy! Cannot recommend this place enough!
