I came with fellow Yelp Elite Wendy J. one morning before we had work. It was everything I thought it would be and more! Since we met up pretty early, I was hoping to see some baked goods I cold get for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to see not only baked goods but also Ladybird Tacos being sold here! I LOVE Ladybird Tacos! I could eat them every day! Something about those tortillas are just so perfect! It's also hard to choose just one taco, but when I saw tenderbelly bacon as a choice, the #1 is what I got! Tenderbelly bacon, egg, and cheese! They also have some of the best dipping sauces! It was delicious! To drink, I had an iced strawberry matcha latte. It was delicious as expected. After seeing me get food, Wendy got a bacon cheddar biscuit, and some sort of sweet baked good she left me try. I felt like the prices were a bit higher than other shops, but I'm one to pay the price if it means the coffee beans are quality and that the staff is paid a living wage. With the prices being what they are, I was not keen on the extra charge for an alt milk. There is plenty of indoor seating and a merchandise area where you can buy coffee, equipment, and shirts. They sell Proud Mary Coffee, as well as Rowan Coffee Roasters (which they currently use for drinks). Laptops are not allowed on the weekends-- gotta love that intentional disconnect from technology to connect with humans irl. :)

I wasn't a huge fan of the flavor and he offered me to try the cold brew instead, which was very kind and a relief because I hate telling anyone I don't like a drink! The cold brew was much more up my alley, very strong and dark and it was great without any syrup or creamer. I love the interior of the shop and the sense of comfort you get being in there. They had a ton of coffee beans And I asked the owner which would be the best dark roast and he picked one out for me that's been pretty good so far (although not as dark as I expected). My friend got a dirty chai and I don't think she was too thrilled with it. But I would definitely come back to try some new things!

I like my stuff on the sweet side and this was much more balanced and coffee-forward.
