Sadly, one of two Asian restaurants in downtown Chattanooga area and they've missed the mark. I got their poke bento box and the flavors were all a bit off. Poke didn't taste that fresh or flavorful.

Food: we had so many dishes tonight. Ginger wedge salad, JFC, pork belly skewer, crab noodles, crispy Brussels, crispy rice/spicy tuna, miso soup, all fabulous. And I quote, "the Philly roll was that Zara supreme". Service: slightly slow, however super friendly waitress. Typically service is faster. I'll take friendly and slow over rude and fast any day. Ambiance: cozy yet vibey with lowfi hip hop and funk. Dark room, dark wood and concrete basement vibes. Everywhere you want to be

Spicy Crab Garlic Noodle. Flavorful. Good portion.

I thought it was good and priced well. Cocktails were fine. Some were creative. Not badly priced at $10. Service was fast and friendly. Plus, the food came out fast. We had the fried rice with scrambled egg and the dry crab ramen. The fried rice would have been better with a runny egg, but since we shared it with our toddler we wanted the egg fully cooked. Still good, though. The crab ramen was yummy with a little kick but not too spicy. Parking in front of the restaurant is free for 2 hours. Cute location. Good, quick dinner stop.

Probably the worst ramen I've had in my life honestly. Not exactly sure what is salty in it? But basically a mouth full of salt. No vegetables except for bamboo which I asked not to have. Yet another place to cross off my list

My hubby and I went in for lunch last Friday. I'm not a ramen fan so I was just focused on drinks however I tried the spicy crab noodles and the JFC chicken. Both were really good. Our server Emily was so sweet. The restaurant was about to close however we were able to have an amazing time with both Emily and Annika. Both girls were simply amazing and we will definitely go back to try more food, and drinks. If you haven't been , this spot is a hidden secret little gem that you should for sure try. Be sure to ask for Emily and Annika!!!!

Tori Paitan Shoyu Noodle 9/10 my favorite ramen here! Wish I got a full egg with the portion though

Looked like they were short staff and the bartender was running all the tables in the back including ours. Only saw our server 3 times during our meal. The app was delivered after the entree and I had to remind the server that I didn't get it. When they delivered it it was not hot so more than likely it was forgotten. The app was takoyaki and it was more like an interpretation of takoyaki. It sadly was disappointing because they used the smallest amount of octopus. Like I swear the first three did not have any. Had to break one open to see that it was a tiny piece. Positive is the vibe and the ramen.

This place is great. We like to mix it up and share plates. Nothing bad here. Lots to explore on the menu and service is pretty quick.

However, the excellent customer service more than makes up for it! We had a party of four and were able to seat ourselves while the waiter came over to take our orders. Everyone was super attentive and the service was fast. One server brought us our waters and was incredibly nice. Then another staff member came over to greet us and take our orders. Another gentleman brought out our fries and checked to see if we were ready to order our entrees, but we had already placed our orders. I really appreciated how attentive everyone was throughout our visit! Our food came out in a good amount of time. I ordered the miso ramen, and let me just say--it was a 10/10! The flavors were absolutely spectacular. I've never had tofu that good, and it was served on the side. The way the edamame was seasoned and paired with the broth was simply TOO GOOD! My wife ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which she really enjoyed. I tasted the broth, and it was definitely different from mine, but in a good way! My son also enjoyed his fries, which were fried to perfection. Needless to say, I HAVE to come back before I hit the road and head home!

Sushi Nabe was a very pleasant surprise…read more I ordered the Super Paitan Ramen, the Crazy Roll, and the vegetable gyoza. The ramen was excellent. The broth was rich, deeply flavored, and had the kind of body you hope for in a good paitan. The chashu was outstanding--tender, flavorful, and generous--and the bowl included thoughtful touches like shishito peppers that complemented the richness rather than competing with it. The Crazy Roll was another surprise. Too many American specialty rolls rely on cream cheese and heavy sauces. This one was balanced, with tamago adding sweetness and texture without overwhelming the other ingredients. It was creative without being overdone. The vegetable gyoza were clearly handmade and exceptional. What impressed me most wasn't any single dish--it was the consistency. Every component felt intentional. You get the sense that someone in the kitchen genuinely cares about the food they're serving. This isn't a flashy or trendy place. It's a comfortable neighborhood Japanese restaurant that quietly delivers thoughtful, well-executed food. I'll definitely be back.

I started with the fried squid and squid salad, both were fantastic, and I especially loved the ponzu with the baby squid! Next I ordered miso and the sashimi appetizer - miso can be surprisingly easy for some places to mess up but this was exactly what I needed. The fish was insanely fresh, although I could've used more wasabi. Also got my partner a signal roll to go which looks delicious as well. You can tell they care about preparation and plating here ! On top of that, my server was attentive and very nice! Will definitely be back!
