This location is at its 80th anniversary, but this is not their original location. The atmosphere and surrounding is much nicer here than the old place since it's been many years. Their food typical American style diner with a modern twist, meaning some options are really healthy. We came by on a Sunday morning and it was packed, so expect the wait to be around 20 to 30 mins depending on your party size. There's a large open space with long comfortable benches and self serve water station outside when waiting for the hostess to call your party. The outdoor patio looks gorgeous - like could I have a wedding here? Probably. I opted to eat inside though because I just like booths. There was a bit of a wait to receive the food we ordered but everything tasted great! Happy, clean, modern diner vibe. Loved the prime rib french dip, fries and strawberry lemonade! Decided to make another trip to Twoheys for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the All American Burger with fries and it was pretty good. We came in on 8-17-24 around 2pm and decided on the burger instead of breakfast. Our server was Angela H. and she was really nice, professional and took care of us while we were there. Just had breakfast here with the family and wow the place looks amazing and very cozy booths to have your meals! We haven't been to Twohey's since they were at their old location because we moved too far from it. Then we discovered it was at a new location and had it on our list of to do things. They were open New Year's Day and we went over there because we were at the Rose Parade earlier. Glad we did too because the delicious breakfasts hit the spot. They have a very good selection of a variety of breakfast types as well as an amazing list of cocktails. In fact we had the seasonal gingerbread martini and wow, we were blown away ! I am very sorry, but I don't understand how people and the servers just walk away ignoring the dirty leftover foods on the floor or tables... Tried this place when I was on my trip to California. I wish I did not.... We were greeted and seated in a way that the server was in a rush ... she was literally running, and I was chasing her. Decent happy hour for a low key weeknight. There weren't many non dairy options so I went with cheeseless nacho fries. Their margarita was okay, a little on the sweeter side. My partner and I randomly stumbled across this place after a morning hike. The breakfast menu looked really good so we gave it a shot. Staff are friendly and on their game if you ever need anything. Loved the interior design and old school diner vibe it had as well as a separate outside area, and separate room with a bar and more seating. I ordered "The Craftsman" which is 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon or sausage, hash browns and toast. It was just the right amount of food and Just what I needed. My partner ordered the "Lox Platter" which was Smoked Salmon, arugula, onions, capers with cream cheese and a bagel. Food was so good we forgot to document it so we ordered a Fudge Sundae to share so we could at least give a visual since that's what helps us all make a decision. Great bang for your Buck! This review is for their daily happy hour which is from 3pm to 6pm. I've lived around Twoheys for a good chunk of my life, from their alhambra location to their current one in South Pasadena and i had never gone til about a 2 months ago, and now i'm kinda kicking myself. This restaurant has a real honest to god good happy hour, it has kickin drinks with good ingredients for $7, there's a large selection of tasty bites to eat that starts at $7 for a poutine, with most items are $10, but they have pretty good portion sizes, and it goes up to burger and beer combo for $18. With inflation as it is now, these prices are amazing value. The place is clean and inviting, there indoor is nice and they have a nice breezy patio. I went to the happy hour 3x in the past 2 months and each time the place has been kinda busy but it was never crowded it was comfortable. The service is great, the food comes out quick and the drinks are strong, they got crayons and placements to occupy kids. This place is great. Its a regular in my rotation now. I'm gonna try their main menu for breakfast/lunch/dinner soon and report back. read more

I was so sad when this place closed a few years ago. So glad to see they're back and better than ever. I loved my Greens and Grains salad and I saved my zucchini bread for home later. I only give 4-star because they don't allow reservation, so the wait can tend to be long during peak hours (especially if your party size is 4+). We waited about 40 mins during lunch time though smaller parties waited less. This is a very popular spot though, so expect at least a small wait if you go during busy times. Located in the corner of a shopping plaza that has a little of everything - Ace Hardware, Baskins & Robbin's, Sees Candies, Kelley's Cookies, Winchells, Nail Salon, Twoheys has an outside patio as well as indoor seating. Service is always on point. Food is freshly prepared and the restaurant uses quality ingredients. We had the El Stinkos, burgers grilled to perfection with fries and a side salad. Server was attentive, checking onus to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. Good old fashioned service and food in a clean, quiet and well lit atmosphere. The menu had plenty of options for everyone in the party. I enjoyed the Deviled Eggs appetizer and the Huntington sandwich. What can I say, I've driven past this restaurant so many times and each time I've said "I should try this place" well here's the day! The service was great, server was attentive and polite. The bread was good, I remember it was freshly (or as fresh as possibly) baked and had a great moist bite. Kids French toast was nothing out of the ordinary, their maple syrup however was really good, I find it not too sweet and not too sticky.? The pasta was probably my favorite. It was not dry, had a lot of flavor and cooked to perfection I might say. The cherry on top, Oreo shake! This wasn't just your ordinary Oreo shake, this thing was phenomenal! It stayed cold, cool and didn't taste icy at all, every slurp and taste was full of flavor and had the right amount of vanilla that takes me back to the old school diner feel. Started with the poutine, would not recommend because the gravy was really salty. Hubby had the Ruben and the onion rings and loveddd it! Only downside is they drizzle honey over it which isn't my preferred taste on a waffle. Next time I'll ask for it on the side.
