Best pizza in the area! We drive from Peoria. Chips with cheese and breadsticks are delicious too!

I have mixed feelings about Tyroni's. Their lunch buffet is excellent & reasonably priced. Their pizzas are ok. Where I have a problem is in the skimping & cost cutting measures. When I ordered the pizza bread with meatballs, the meatballs were the size of MARBLES therefore they were over-cooked & flavorless, then there were only 10 little meatball marbles on the entire dish!! Therefore, I avoid this restaurant unless it's for the lunch buffet. Recently I went back to Tyroni's with a large family group & gave it another try. I ordered a pasta entree & paid $3.00 for the additional baked topping of green peppers, onions, cheese, etc... Looked gorgeous when the server delivered it! It was served in 1 of those beautiful pasta plates with the scooped out middles! I was so excited till I put my fork into the dish & immediately hit a metal plate! They put a small metal dish into the scooped out part of the pasta plate! If I wanted a child's portion, I would have ordered it!! The additional baked toppings were nearly non-existent! I needed a magnifying glass to find it! Very disappointed to say the least! I paid $18.00 for a child's portion....but it was really good! I'll stick to the lunch buffet because their other menu items are a rip-off!! read more

Ok, let me start with saying I regret eating here and won't be back. I used to visit this place frequently in my travels along interstate 474. After a 5 year absence, this past weekend I found myself once again traveling this way and thought it would be good to stop to have, what I remembered being, pretty good pizza. Sadly it was not what I remembered. First, ALL of the buffet pizza was cold. Wings were soggy and cold as well. Salad looked like it was left out overnight. It's a shame this place has lost its way. It used to be some of the best pizza in the area. Makes me wonder what happened. Highly recommend looking elsewhere to satisfy your taste buds. read more

My son and wife and I enjoyed the lunch buffet. We arrived shortly after 12 Noon and had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. The selection and quality of the food was very good. It is the ultimate place to strap on the feedbag! read more

Great pizza n bread stix but seriously a $50 order for only two pizzas n breadstix for delivery..two HOURS later still not delivered! Terrible terrible service ONE delivery guy on a Saturday what a joke! We asked for our money back most definitely will not order again!! read more

My brother, sister and I went to Tyroni's today, we all had something different, none of us were impressed. Service was poor, sauce tasted like a can of tomato paste. I don't mind price if food is good.I had beef tortillini, very small serving for $9.95 and it was not good. We won't go back. read more

Casual atmosphere (very) compared to the prices (higher side). Some of the food was good, but Americanized. We did not pay the upcharge for meat or alfredo sauces and could have gotten similar meal at much cheaper prices elsewhere. Our server was very rude and hurried, did not offer any of the specials,( so we missed out on those) and never checked back with us. Will go elsewhere next time, disappointed. read more

Went there for the first time today. After having sampled GREAT Italian cuisine in such places such as San Francisco AND New York, I was sorely disappointed. Who ever heard of ONION RINGS at an "Italian" restaurant ???? . Also ordered a bottle of Ruffino chianti.... and my, oh my was it RUFF if you know what I mean ????. Yes, my palate is definitely educated after having lived in the Napa wine country, and owning a home in Paso Robles, Ca. ( where there is an EXCELLENT Italian restaurant. I am just trying to figure out why this place is STILL in business ????..,, Oh wait, it's in bass ackwards Bartonville, ILL. The atmosphere is really great with a lot of potential. The wait staff could definitely use more training, but at the very least they try. Too bad the food is so sub-par. read more

My husband and I went there on Saturday, 8/20, we arrived at 11:30. We ordered the tyronis potatoes for an appetizer and each ordered a different 10" pizza. I was surprised that we were only 1 of three tables with customers. After an hour we still hadn't received our appetizer. They were not busy, extremely slow in fact. We I asked our server to check she finally brought our appetizer. She said that the reason it took so long was that everything was made fresh and it took alot of time. Then a half hour later came back to say the cook apologized because he only had one oven going on Saturday and it had gone out so he had to get it up and running again. The potatoes were very good but not worth that long of a wait and they were not even hot. At 1:30 she finally brought our pizzas (an hour and a half after ordering) and we had to have them boxed up because we had to get back to work. My husband and I heated them up later that day and pitched both in the garbage. Both pizzas were made with the spicy Italian sausage and my husband and I both loathe anything spicy. So we paid $40 for cold appetizer and two pizzas that went in the garage. And the service was very poor, waitress was not at all friendly. read more

Just wanted to let you know we drove the 20 minutes over to Bartonville last week only to enjoy your buffet, because we had such a good experience ordering off the menu the last time. On the way we got a flat, which I fixed in the hot, middle of this summer day. We figured your buffet lasted until 2 like most others. We arrived at 1:15 to the pleasant greeting of your hostess, who told us we could enjoy what was left of the buffet or order off the menu. We chose the meager buffet, because we were overdue for eating. Another lass came out loud and surly and declared, that by law the buffet should not be offered. We said, no problem, we will find another place to eat today. As my wife had just begun to put lettuce on her plate, the short, dark haired, bossy, loud help, said, as my wife handed her the plate, 'thanks for wasting our lettuce'. I don't know if she wanted us to stay or go, but we are gone all right! What an ingrate! We went next door to get the tire replaced. Ingrate there, too. The service guy could have cared less to provide service. Then to Hardees and the lady behind the counter was barely comprehensible. Bartonville, land of inbreds. read more

tyronis cafe has great food but horrible delivery and order taking skills. i spend on average $50 an order only to have incomplete orders delivered 95% of the time. this is rediculous and unprofessional. i have said time and time again i will never order again only to give in and get let down. last time they sent my entree's with no salads and gave us food we didnt even order. this time they said it would be 30-40 minutes and it took an hour and 45 minutes. i have shared my story with several bartonville residents only to hear similar stories in return. i am so fed up with their negligence and will never patronize them again! I IMPLORE YOU TO NOT PATRONIZE SUCH A PLACE IF YOU ARE TRYING TO FEED YOUR KIDS AS THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO COMPLETE SUCH A SIMPLE TASK AS TAKE AN ORDER AND GET IT RIGHT! we have made it a practice to get the order takers name and make them read our complete order back verbatem so that inevitably when we call back with our incomplete order complaint they can be assured that it is their fault. I AM CALLING THE OWNERS TOMORROW TO LET THEM KNOW THEY ARE HIRING INCOMPETANT PEOPLE AND THEY NO LONGER WILL RECIEVE MY $200 A MONTH! i suggest you call one of the other resteraunts that deliver in the area and save yourself a problem! read more
