Super great place. We stop here when I'm the area. Staff is C always friendly. The restaurant is clean and organized. The food is always amazing. I love the char on the burger patties. Fresh veggies on top. Made to order. Love this place. Happy to see it when in Oceanside.

Visited here for the first time a couple of days ago and really enjoyed my lunch. I had perhaps the best Western Bacon Cheeseburger I've ever eaten. Ty's brought all the usual ingredients that come in that burger but did it better than other places. First off, the Angus beef patty was moist and not overdone. Next, the Haystack onions, Pepper Jack cheese, and Applewood bacon were all prepared really well. Lastly, they did not skimp on the BBQ sauce, which had a nice tangy flavor to it. I ordered some sweet potato fries to go with it, and I felt those might have been slightly overcooked. I'll probably go with regular French fries next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside the place, the tables and the floor were kept nice and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Besides the indoor seating, they offered outdoor seating in the front as well as a nice shaded area in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have beer on tap, so definitely a nice place to enjoy a meal at lunch or dinner.

Wow, what a burger. We stopped into this small burger and beer spot on mission for lunch. The menu was nice, burgers, salads, and wraps. Nice selection of craft beer as well. I had the western bacon cheese burger. Delicious. Wife had the teriyaki chicken sandwich and she loved it. We shared the trio basket. Fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings all in one. We sat in the patio today. It was a fantastic day. You have to go in to order the burgers, and they will give you a number, and they will deliver the burgers to you. Even though we were on the patio, they came out to check on us regularly. They also cleaned the patio table upon request. The patio tables were utilitarian stainless steel tables and chairs. I'm going to say it's utilitarian, but it works. Ty's burgers don't look like much to begin with. But omg, the food is fantastic. The best burgers handsdown I've ever eaten in oceanside since we've moved here to date. My hubby ordered a western bacon cheese burger, and I ordered a teriyaki chicken burger with no onions. And a basket of the trio, which is a basket of fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. Best decision ever to come eat here. I was having an allergy attack. After my first bite, I declared myself free of allergies. Lol, it was that good for me. My chicken was succulent and not overly sweet! I love it. We will be back again and again.

First time here and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone that is in the mood for a burger that's not $20 and isn't fast food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio on Mission is fairly noisy with the cars right there, but it's not bad and there's seating inside or a quiet, green back patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the veggie burger which was DELICIOUS and made in-house with a variety of veggies, mushrooms, and no dumb fillers like quinoa or potato. Honestly, this place is pretty fantastic, but they miss one crucial element. The burgers are cooked beyond well done and very very dry. Maybe it's my fault for not asking, but when a place specializes in fresh burgers, I don't expect them to cook them beyond medium well. Well, I was wrong. I love a thick, juicy patty and they delivered. The burger was smothered in BBQ sauce and the onions were fried to perfection. I'm not the biggest shoestring fry fan but the seasoning made up for it. Super solid burgers all around today. I had the bacon and blue burger that was loaded with bacon and blue cheese. The patty itself was pretty thick and had great flavor. I would have preferred to have it cooked med- rare, but I wasn't asked, and I didn't think to ask. The sweet potato fries were hot and tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was very clean and the gentleman working there was very nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bonus, they do a military discount also. They have several beers on tap and a couple of arcade pinball type games. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do have an outdoor seating area outback that looked nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got our food to go, and it still held up after the ten min drive home. Parking can be tricky in the area, so bring your walking shoes just in case. Prices were pretty decent given the quality and location.

The Kobe burger was definitely five stars- the blue cheese burger more like 4 stars- so definitely get the Kobe!! Lots of burger options to try here, looking forward to coming back & trying their lamb burger! Ambiance is nothing spectacular but they do have indoor seating & two outdoor seating options, one at the front & another in the back. Service was good, you order at the front desk & then they bring you your entree's. Everyone was nice & as I mentioned the Kobe was a burger I'd return for- maybe the best one I've found in North County SD. Bottom line, if you're in or driving by Oceanside craving a good burger- look no further!! Recommended. Happy eating!

Third time is a charm! Delicious! Variety of options including wild game options like wild boar, venison and more. I opted for the turkey burger option which came out phenomenal and paired it with nice cold glass of beer. Options for indoor and outdoor seating. They have a back patio option which looks pretty nice but can get filled up pretty quickly because it's just so good! May be a bit of a wait for your food depending on the time of day but it's worth it! I will be back to try more. read more

Yesterday evening my wife and I wanted to have a good burger. We were headed to Habit Burger and on our way. As we approached the parking area we made a detour as we saw the reviews on Yelp about Ty's Burger House and wanted to give it a try. One of the best detours I've made in a while going out to eat. I had the blue cheese burger and she had the BBQ. I ate mine like a Kirby vacuum and she only at 3/4 of hers because she was so satisfied. I ate the rest and it was out freaking standing! This is definately my go to place to have a great burger. Ty's Burger House, I am all in. Job well done! read more

Exceptionally rude service. The two employees here tonight should never work in customer service. The cashier told us that she couldn't estimate a wait time because she didn't know how long people would stay and told us to eat somewhere else. As we were walking by about 10 minutes later we noticed an open table. Asked for an extra seat for our table and were given a brisk "no" with no explanation. Didn't ask what size burger I wanted or how I wanted it cooked. She got annoyed and snappy when we tried to build our burgers. Didn't get any of our side sauces or sweet potato fries. Got onion on our burgers when specifically asked for no onion. I'm the words of our seven year old, "in n out is way better" read more

You've likely driven right by this place, but it's worth making a U-turn. Good burgers, wraps and sweet potato fries in a family-friendly, upbeat environment with seating in front and rear. Clean, safe, ample parking on street. Prices are reasonable. read more

The food was tasty. I had a Western Bacon Cheese Burger. It was well cooked and the BBQ sauce was sweet and flavorful. The fries were thin and crispy. The only issue with my visit was I ordered a 1/2 lb version and got the smaller size. Other than that, everything was great. read more

Hands down the best burger I've had in North County. You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu, even just their classic burger is bonkers delicious. Oh and if you get their fries (which you should) be sure to ask for a side of their house sauce for dipping, so good! read more

First timers , definitely not the last for us. Don't underestimate this humble looking establishment - the portions are huge and the food is tasty. Our party tried a variety of different burger selections and all were satisfied. Mine was the 1/2 bacon blue cheese with fries - looked good , smelled even better and tasted amazing. Every selection here is gourmet quality, fresh as can be and made to order at a reasonable price. Nice selection of crafts beers to accompany, of course ( wouldn't be S.D. County without it) next time , going to try one of the amazing looking salad selections because I'm getting fat . read more

Didn't get to eat here, so I can't attest to the food but it came highly recommended. I just seriously hate when you get somewhere a few minutes before closing and they say they're closed. I worked food for years and that's bad service. Get over it, people come last minute. You don't lock the doors until the clock strikes closing time. It's even amazing service to help someone out who is running in to try your food. Just saying, I've been there. Guests are always going to come at closing, that's life. read more

Walked by many times and finally stopped here for a burger and onion rings. The burger was good. The onion ring less than I would expect. I think they were cooked in old oil and overdone. They had plastic strays so that was a plus. read more

I enjoyed my hamburger a lot. It compares to a high priced burger restaurant. The high quality ingredients showed and the bun was very good. They offer unique hamburger combos including different kinds of meat like bison and they serve craft beer on draft. The onion rings where fantastic. Great service and prices.(I noticed they offer military discounts!) Craving a hamburger- I highly recommend this cheap but quality good eats burger joint! read more

I just have to say, if you are heading to San Diego, and happen to stop by Oceanside, you HAVE to go to Ty's Burger House. If you are looking for the best value for your money, look no further. I ordered the Kobe Beef Burger, and you could tell they paid attention to the details from the toasted bun, the sweat aoli sauce, the letuce, and the high quality kobe beef patty. They killed it with this burger. On the side I got the sweet potato fries because why not if it's offered, which was a very nice compliment to the burger. Overall this place is a MUST EAT, when eating in Oceanside, so stop reading and go get a REAL Burger. read more

This place is one of, if not the best burger place. I had the western bacon half pound burger. I have no complaints. The burger was full of flavor with just the perfect amount of bbq sauce. My wife had the classic and she loved it! Happy wife happy life! The service was amazing! They are always smiling and without hesitation are always willing to help. It was my first time there and definitely not my last. I drove over an hour to spend this day at the beach and this place was a perfect way to end our day! read more

The regular beef hamburgers and french fries are good. The boar burger was very dry. Also, it took 45 minutes for them to bring us our food, so don't come in expecting a quick meal. read more

I live/work down the street and have been itching to come here. Well, needless to say... IT WAS WORTH MY FICTIONAL WEIGHT IN GOLD. I opted for the Mac and Cheese Burger, yep. My significant other ordered a Chorizo Burger with a fried egg and Ortega chili. Both were deelish albeit heavy and came out in a jiff. Be ready to eat! We also got the trio of fries, sweet fries, and onion rings. Let me say that this can feed 4. I would recommend getting fries with the burger unless you are with a group. They have a killer soundtrack rolling and a nice understated atmosphere. You can even eat out back! Lastly, the beer selection is really well chosen. I will be back for all the rare meat burgers. Maybe I will start with Bison?! read more

Went here last night and had a grass-fed burger and chili cheese fries SOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!! The service was great and the food was top notch too!! I will definitely go back next time I feel like a burger! My girlfriend was also very happy with her western bacon burger. The outdoor seating has an amazing view of the Oceanside beach and pier. The indoor seating is an open air concept with their coffee bar and bakery at the front and a closed kitchen in the back. The weight staff was very professional and courteous. Ours was especially attentive and took the time to tell us what some of the more popular dishes are at breakfast time. The food was delicious. Their coffee was delicious! I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, and they were moist and surprisingly, very citrusy and slightly tart which was balanced with a few dollops of lemon curd that was on the plate. I also ordered a coffee cake, which I did not end up eating however, when I had it as a midnight snack later, it was delicious. It was so buttery, especially on top where the crumble was. It was the perfect blend of sweet and salty. My daughter ordered the Hawaiian style fried rice. We were pleasantly surprised that the spam on the plate is homemade spam and not the kind you get from the can. It definitely tasted a lot better than the kind you get from the can. Sidenote: I am a fan of the one you get on the can, however! The fried rice was fried with kimchi, pineapple, green onion, and toasted sesame oil. The plate came with a thin omelette on top. The portions are good, and if you are not too hungry, you can definitely share them. This place is also dog friendly, which I found to be great since I am the owner of a rat terrier. There were plenty of other customers with their furry friends chilling at their feet. In fact, the restaurant offers a pet menu with options like unsalted hamburger or unsalted and grilled chicken thigh. I am definitely going to go back when I'm in the area. People eating outside were comfy and one couple I stopped to speak with had lobsters and were very pleased! They drove down from Murrietta. Ok, that's my review. I hope the owners are pleased and treat their staff in the kitchen and in the front with respect. They are great. I don't know how to post the picture of my lobster before/after.

i was in the neighborhood and was in the mood for a good burger. I had never noticed this place and always like trying new places so I went in. Yes, turns out it is fairly new. The place is very clean and I like the surf theme throughout. The menue is quite large and the burgers are even bigger! I have been watching my calories so I ordered one of the small burgers. 1/4 lb combo, fries and drink around $5. Everything was great but the thing that impressed me the most is that the owner came over to my table to ask me for an honest opinion about their new fresh cut seasoned fries which are different than any I have ever tried. I told him that because at first look I thought that they were burnt. turns out that they were anything but. Just very seasoned and yummy. I would recomend this place to all and next time I will try the giant fruit topped salad the lady next to me was having. read more

I took my boyfriend to Ty's Burger House on Valentine's Day because I absolutely love it. I had been there before but it was his first time. I got the same thing I got last time (because I was thinking about it all day) - the veggie burger. It is phenomenal. Made with an array of fresh, flavorful ingredients it holds together very well and has an excellent, unique flavor. It's perfect topped with the lettuce, tomato, bread & butter pickles, and light sauce that already comes on it. My boyfriend got a Mac & Cheeseburger ,which he said was great. The thin-cut fries have that awesome seasoning on them that I like too. Every time I go, they just get better and better. Great job guys!!! Next time though, I plan on taking advantage of that nice outdoor patio in the back. I didn't see it until after we started eating. LoL read more

We really wanted a good burger for dinner so I Googled 'burger restaurant'. The usual places came up and none of that sounded too appetizing. In the mix was Ty's Burger House and I wouldn't have gambled on it but the reviews looked good. Well, it's really good! The menu was super with all the wild game burgers as well as ground beef. My husband tried the jalapeno burger and I got the classic. None of the ingredients were average, the buns were nicely toasted too. We also shared an order of half onion rings and half sweet potato fries, yummmm! I noticed they have a good beer selection and serve wine as well. The place was super clean (bathroom too) all done in a surf decor. We sat at the window and enjoyed a really good dinner and will take our friends and tell everyone how great it is every chance we get. read more

. When I walked in today I was greeted with the same friendly service. The food was brought to our table and it looked delicious. It tasted amazing! You can really tell the ingredients are fresh. My husband was also impressed that the staff didn't just stand around when they were done taking an order, they cleaned and made sure things were organized. While eating the staff came to our table to see how we enjoyed the food and made sure we didn't need anything. My husband had the Pastrami Burger. I tried the pastrami and it tasted really good, and I don't normally like pastrami. I had the Western Bacon Cheeseburger and it was fantastic. read more

Ty's Burger House menu is very fleshed out and has a great variety. The prices were a little above average, but well worth it! They were around 5 or 6 bucks for a 1/3 burger. You can add seasoned fries or their awesome sweet potato fries. The burgers are massive, the meat, cheeses and every ingredient was fresh and flavorful. I found it hard to find anything that was previously frozen. This is SERIOUSLY the best burger in the county. I have never had better meat. The buns were also fluffy and seemed a higher quality. The fries (best I have had) had great seasoning and were a healthy size. I am sticking with Ty's Burger House! read more

Don't Hesitate. Eat here. I am on the road five days a week so I look to find solid "go to" places that are reasonably priced. This place has got it. Had a Sourdough Mushroom Melt with a side salad choice. Salad was generous and bright with good presentation. Melt was just right. Crisp with right mix of burger, cheese, onion, and sauce. Plenty of menu choice. It is always amazing how with the same set of ingredients one place can kill it better than another. These guys are doing a great job. 6 beer taps and 4 wine selections are a nice add for a place this size. Saw a couple of good looking main dish salads go by. read more

The burgers are massive, the meat, cheeses and every ingredient was fresh and flavorful. I found it hard to find anything that was previously frozen (tastewise). This is SERIOUSLY the best burger in the county. I have never had better meat. The buns were also fluffy and seemed a higher quality. All of our family and friends have migrated away from one of our regular eateries to the Burger House. I get the chicken sandwich because I can't eat the burgers, but every burger comes out great. Scott asks us after every meal what he can do to make it better every time, which has made each visit better than the last. Ranch dressing with the fries is a must, whether you get the regular or sweet potato fries! Great, clean, welcoming atmosphere for families and singles alike. At first, a welcome addition to the OCEANSIDE community, offering great burgers at a fair price. Unfortunately, customer service is lacking. Went out of my way tonight to drive over there, walked in at 730pm and before I could even say hello was met with " take out only" . When I asked why ( seating area was 1/4 full) , was told we close in 20 minutes. Never heard of a restaurant that told people a half hour before closing you can't sit down. Poor customer service . Even McDonalds wouldn't do that. Change your business model or you will chase away your customers. read more

I love the burgers here LOVE THEM - My favorites are the bacon and bleu and the jalapeno burger I have tried the western as well super amazing. i love the seasoning of the fries almost a hint of cajun. Went on mission today for my lunch to grab some lunch to-go and decided to stop in here for the first time. Shalante was very friendly & offered some recommendations. I decided on one of their chicken wraps with a side of sweet potato fries. Both were phenomenal. I would highly recommend this place for a quick bite during your lunch hour. Most places I go take a little while but they were pretty fast to bring it out. I do wish I had more time to eat in today because they definitely have a fun, beachy vibe with their decor. I don't give many (if any) positive reviews but Ty's Burger House came in clutch for the boys. One of the tastiest morsels I have ever had and I have eaten burgers from every establishment this side of the Mississippi. If I could give more stars to cancel out any of the previous negative reviews I would. You got ecoli 20 years ago? Well my jalapeño burger cancels that out due to tastiness alone. I'm a senior yelper and I'm pulling rank. Come to Ty's if you want to be treated to one of the best burger places. I will be a customer for life. read more

Ordering the Wild Boar Burger again. You would never know it was a game burger. The poached pears in red wine, mushrooms, bacon, lettuce and tomato blend together so nice! On My next visit to Ty's Burger House I will be trying the Kangaroo. It sounds delicious... Creamed horseradish sauce, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle. Yum! The restaurant has always been clean and pumping with a good energy. The service is always quick and friendly. We eat at Ty's Burger House often. They have great burgers - we've tried almost all! We Love the specialty and wild game burgers: the Buffalo is delicious, but my favorite is the Wild Boar. Tasty! For you beef lovers, they have a wide variety of treatments for regular burgers and they're all quite good. The restaurant is very chill, with exposed brick and surf videos playing. The owner is awesome and has a great memory. The best part? The outdoor space in the back of the restaurant. It's an extremely charming space. read more

I work down the street from Ty's Burger House and it is definitely my favorite lunch spot. The burgers are big, juicy, and full of flavor. Ty's also has the best french fries in town. They are the kind that have a little skin left on the ends and are fried to perfection. I am also a fan of their sweet potato fries. I was look for a great little place to eat in Oceanside and Ty's Burger is the place. They have some really good salad choices, if you are not into the gourmet burgers. The atmosphere is very comfortable and I love having the patio out back to eat at. It is located just a little bit off the main drag of PCH101, where they are doing that road construction for the past few months.
