Don't like any subs except small Deli shop / Italian but nothing like that in this tourist trap city and I need to feed my family who's waiting on the beach 1 mile down so I decided to come and pick up some subs. The only thing that I can tolerate to eat here is the turkey and provolone but today I regretfully tried a Philly cheese steak called the Big Kahuna with all the fixings. They put so much caramelized onion (and boy is it caramelized to fucking death) that it tastes like there's a sweet teriyaki sauce in it and all of the onions fused to the meat and absolutely overwhelming the sub; tasted like sweet ass completely neutralizing the meat or any other flavor this was a complete waste and I regretted not ordering the turkey. Also I've literally eaten here twice once this past weekend and once 4 years ago they have not addressed their pest issue there are flies inside the counter area buzzing all around having their pick of the litter with the open face topping trays I wish I took a picture of the floors they are absolutely disgusting littered with shredded toppings and layers of bread crumbs and discarded shreds of meat they are so busy they don't have time to clean it but someone should specifically do this. I will never come back again even if it means I have to starve and miss a lunch. I would say you're much better off just getting pizza and taking it down to the pier but this tourist trap city you can never be too sure it could easily taste like Papa John's that's to be determined. read more

My vehicle was towed while I was dealing with this location, leaving me stranded, furious, and forced to deal with the expense and stress of getting my own car back. And the tow truck driver? He appeared downright delighted to haul it away. The whole experience felt less like customer service and more like walking into a trap. If you visit this location, do not assume that spending money there means your car is safe. Photograph the signs, document where you parked, and understand the parking rules before you walk through the door. Stale bread and terrible service were one thing. This is by far the worst Jersey Mike's location I've visited. I've given it multiple chances because everyone has off days, but the customer service here is consistently poor. Each time I've come in, the staff seems rushed and impatient. On my most recent visit, two employees were asking me different questions at the same time and expecting immediate responses, which made the ordering process unnecessarily stressful. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt hurried. There is also a noticeable attitude from certain employees, including the girl at the front and the bearded employee behind the counter. I politely asked if my tomato could be chopped. I was told they don't do that, which is perfectly fine, but the response was delivered with visible frustration and attitude. It's not the policy that's the issue, it's how it was communicated. Unfortunately, this is the closest location to me, but I'm not willing to spend nearly $30 on two subs and receive poor service in return. I get my sandwhich back and none of what I requested was on it, when I asked if I could get my original order they rudely told me nothing can be done and wanted to charge me fully for a new sandwhich, even with a receipt of my original order. Of all the jersey mike locations this one today says they no longer take military discounts. You were in the heart of Southern California Naval marine bases. The customer service at this store is top notch. I had an issue with the sub I ordered and attempted to reach a service rep via the app by sending a message. Waited a week and heard nothing so I did some research and it said going through the store directly is the way to go. I gave the store a call and Saul the manager was fantastic. Not only did he agree to replace my order, but he said for the inconvenience he was going to comp me an additional meal as well. I told him I would be in that day around 5:30 and when I arrived, my sub already freshly prepared for me and ready to go. The associates were friendly and very accommodating. Saul and his team do a terrific job the store is often very busy because it's so close to Oceanside Pier and they always handle the foot traffic efficiently. This is my primary Jersey Mike's location as I live only a few minutes away, and needless to say I will continue to give them my business. read more

I just returned from Pacific Towing, where I paid $450.00 to get my car back, because we mistakenly parked in the wrong space. I did not see the writing on the ground in the parking space or a tow sign. My wife and I were eating at the Mexican food place just next door. It was an honest mistake on our part, and we were there less than two hours before our car was towed. I am a semi-retired man. I work two days per week as a security guard to supplement my monthly Social Security payments. I will need to pick up four extra shifts to cover that $450.00 fee. If this is Jersey Mike's business practice, then shame on you. I have eaten at Jersey Mike's many times before we moved out here from AZ, but never again. read more

Do not come to this place. The owner sucks really bad. We accidentally parked in the parking lot after the store was closed and we didn't notice the terrible paint marked saying "Jersey Mikes Parking Only". There was also no "tow away" sign or anything. When we went to pick up our truck and pay the $500, the dude told us the owner sets up cameras to watch people that park in the lot. He then calls the tow company to pick up people's cars. I really craved a Torpedo from Giuliano's when I was in Torrance a few days ago, but I remembered how bad my last several sandwiches were, so I skipped making the stop before heading back down to Oceanside. I decided to try the Italian here, and it's pretty good. I got it Mike's Way with the juice on the side and they forgot the juice. No biggie; it was fine without it. The lettuce was brown already (I came close to opening time), but everything else was fresh. The employees were busy making sandwiches for online orders when I arrived; they were polite and greeted me immediately. I love that this spot has its own parking lot- it's easier than parking on the street (pro tip: the transit center also has free garage parking!). Overall, while I rarely eat deli sandwiches, I would be open to coming back. The philly cheesesteak caught my eye. Stopped by last night. Ordered some food. Then went across the street to grab my wine of the month from Orfelia. Came back to my car and it was gone. Towed. Tow guy said I can pick it up in the morning and he charged me 445$ I was there with my dog. The tow truck was parked in the alley hiding by Johnny mamas. He left me stranded with my dog when I was barely parked 20 minutes. Beware of parking at a designated Jersey Mikes Sub here. The quality of the food itself is good, typical for a Jersey Mike's. Not my first choice for a sub but it was the only one readily available during my coastal stroll. The biggest issue with this Jersey Mike's in particular (I've had issues with other locations in the past but this isn't about them right now) is the attitude of the staff.
