So glad they decided to bring this place to Berkeley! I've been to the original location several times, but it is out of the way for me. This branch is well decorated and has a very cute ambiance, but it can feel pretty cramped depending on where you are seated. I visited during their soft opening, there was no wait at all around lunch time. We ordered the matcha crepe cake, anko dango, and earl grey crumble. The matcha crepe cake tasted WONDERFUL. Just thinking about the texture and flavor makes me salivate. Anko dango was ok, not much to say about it but the strawberries were fresh. Would highly recommend the earl grey crumble! It tastes amazing every time and is probably my favorite thing on the menu. Looking forward to visiting again! read more

Came to the soft opening and my friends and I tried the strawberry cheesecake, mango, and thai tea bingsoo. All three were super good, fresh, and aesthetic! My intention was to come here for some light, tasty dessert after lunch, but I ended up coming with friends before lunch and eating the equivalent of lunch in delicious cakes and ice cream...oops! Happiest mistake of my day because every bite was better than the last, and I'm glad I had room for everything we ordered! Myself and 2 friends wanted to get a representative sampling so we ordered one item from each of 3 of the sections on their menu - snow ice, cake, and toast. We got the mango bingsoo, Thai tea lava toast, and banofee cake. I'll start with the snow ice mango dish. Oh my god, it was so refreshing. Definitely pour the condensed milk over it, and the mango sauce if you want some mango flavors in any snow ice-only bites you end up taking. The mango was fresh and ripe, and the snow ice was super light, though it melted pretty quickly. On to the cake. Each layer offers something unique, but they all go so well together. We were pleased to find that it was easy to get all layers in a single bite as well. Leftovers of the Oreo foundation were lapped up by all! We were by far most impressed by the lava toast. The bread cubes are heavenly on their own (the best French toast ever, basically), but they really synergized with the Thai tea ice cream when dipped in it. The ice cream really softens the bread but keeps all the flavors intact, and the slight saltiness of the bread is complemented by the sweetness of the ice cream. Definitely eat the crispy thin bread that encases the whole shebang, and dip that in the melted ice cream as well. Also every dish was presented so beautifully and elegantly. While the average price of an item isn't cheap, you really get a lot, in terms of quality, quantity, and presentation, for what you pay for! I'll be back soon to try out more of their menu. they were out of matcha lava cake and igloos kakigori when we came (a Friday early afternoon), so definitely try those out if they're available since they go fast! read more

I've been to the SF location multiple times, so I was so excited to see the Berkeley location open up! This place honestly has my heart. The decor truly makes this place special, making you feel instantly stress free as soon as you step inside! The staff is incredibly friendly and the interior is so clean and polished. DECOR GOALS! The drinks are pricy but I think they're all delicious, same for the dessert. We split a matcha parfait between two of us which ended up being the perfect amount if you want a light, tasty dessert. Definitely will be back if I'm celebrating something special or if I'm in the mood to spend some extra cash on some high quality dessert! read more

Expect little to no service when they are busy as they are very disorganized. They also typically have a limited menu as certain items are often unavailable. We ordered a shaved ice and waited over 45 minutes after being seated and were given the check before we got our order. The desserts are also on the pricier end. I've been to the SF locations and they never disappoint but sadly I ordered takeout from this location and it was a bit of a bummer. I order the mango sticky rice snow and the fresh mangos had brown spots on them and they were started to taste rotten. The mango purée it's served with was starting to ferment and the sticky rice, was just a small ball of mush, sad be cause the sticky rice is my favorite part. We had planned to come here for dessert but let's get real, who doesn't like fried food. We ordered everything from wings and wedges to fishcake corn dogs and all were delicious. They don't use old oil that makes the fried food taste like it was fried last year, we're talking about fresh, crisp batter, with sweet, spicy chilli sauce. Yum! Then came the dessert, a strawberry cheesecake snow ice thing with condensed milk on the side. Well, 3 adults and 2 greedy children shared this and we did not finish it. Ever since I saw this place on DoorDash I had been wanting to try their eye catching desserts. Tonight was the night I got to try them and Im glad I did. The desserts were yummy but indeed pricey for them since it is a trendy place. I got the monster toast because I wanted to try one of the toast desserts that they had and this one fitted my taste since it had chocolate in it. The toast was crunchy and went well with the ice cream and Oreo crumbles that came on the side. The ice cream didn't make the toast soggy which was interesting but it made for a nice dessert. Next one I wanted to try was the banana crepe chocolate roll because I like bananas and chocolate together, it came with a banana creamy sauce to pour on it which tasted like banana flavoring but did go nicely with the crepe roll. The roll itself was surprisingly not that sweet which was good since the banana in the middle balanced it out to make it more sweeter and the sauce did as well. Overall, this was a one time experience for me just to try it and I probably won't be back since the prices and the dessert wasn't something I would spend that kind of money on again but I do recommend for anyone who likes these types of desserts, they are tasty. read more

I came here during their grand opening, and got the deal for discounted bingsoo desserts and BOGO drinks! It was definitely a steal, and the aesthetics of the desserts here are beautiful. I will say they were extremely busy during their first couple days of opening, so we waited in line and for our order for quite a while. Don't get the drinks here.. they tasted like chemicals and were $7-8. I threw them away after drinking a couple sips because they tasted so nasty. The hojicha bingsoo was aight but a bit flavorless and small for the price. I think I would've preferred another flavor. Terrible customer service. We placed an order through their chosen delivery app. Minutes later they called us, telling us they dont have the item we ordered. And told us to cancel our order through the app, instead if cancelling themselves. When we did cancel through the app, the app charged us for cancellation fee that was $65 dollars. We then called the restaurant back addressing this and they did nothing. Dont even want to press cancel on their system.
