Public street paid parking, limited Pay to park garage across the street Small location, no seats, small decorative designs everywhere, high ceilings and just clean and simple Service was quick and friendly Introduced the drinks and the Red Bull selections, will have to try that next Got shortcake and tiramisu Very sweet, more than I can handle But I bet the kids will love it Will have to bring them here next time

Amazing presentation! Looks great! And offers great flavors I loved the banana and oreo. Didnt love the tiramisu or red velvet. I wish there was more cake than whip/cream. Perfect portion. A little sweet than my preference but not overly sweet.

I finally got to stop by JARS! You can order with the staff or at the kiosk located one the right side as you walk in. My brother and I ordered the tiramisu and tres leche jars and a strawberry shortcake cake bar. I thought the tiramisu was okay, it was good but also okay if that makes sense. The tres leches was a little bit too sweet for me but my younger brother loved it. He also loved the cake bar, he's a huge fan of cake pops in general and loved the idea of a cake bar. Will definitely be coming back to try other flavors. I believe the menu changes but I'm hoping to try the peach cobbler and red velvet next.

Easy to eat quick dessert in jars ($10) for your sweet tooth. I stopped in while shopping in Bay Street Emeryville and picked up a custom jar of half tiramisu with half red velvet on top. It had a nice, creamy and smooth mouthfeel and wasn't overly sweet. They have specials to buy these jars in multi-packs, as well as miniature versions. Cake bars are available, as well as a few fruit refresher drinks (with optional red bull added). Before I ordered, I was able to get a few taste samples to help me decide on the jar flavor(s). The owner, Tom, was there and let me know that they make their custards fresh everyday with whole ingredients, and that this franchise store is the first one in Northern California. They also have a membership rewards program you can join via mobile number too.

We were just walking around and I had a sweet tooth so I decided to give this place a try. I have never heard of this place, but the jars and flavors of soft serve were calling for me! After debating on the jar, the bar or shake, I ordered two Oreo soft serves instead for my son and I. Oreo flavored anything is good IMO. There were two ordering kiosks. No tables or chairs. Workers were mostly in the back making the orders. One gentleman did come out and asked if I placed an order right when I finished. The ice cream was so delicious. There were cookies, chocolate, syrup, the size was a little smaller than expected for the price. My son really enjoyed it so it's a win win.

I was craving a frozen sweet treat after a savory snack and thankfully came across this place while walking through Bay Street. I ordered the Red Velvet Cake soft serve and it was love at first bite It was probably the most refreshing soft serve I've ever had. The refreshing taste of the soft serve makes a good pair with the chewy cake pieces. The manager (I think) was kind enough to offer me a lid when he saw the cake pieces were falling off. I felt bad that the falling cake pieces were making a mess but he was so nice about it saying it happens all the time. He's so friendly to start a conversation with me. Sometime in the future I will try a Jar.

I had a question but the couple in front of me had soooo many questions..I waited a while and the cashier apologized for the wait. She was nice and friendly. I got the oreo soft serve. Not bad! The soft serve is a more of a frosty type texture and not like a usual soft serve. I like that the cone is soft. Not hard and crunchy. A nice sweet treat after dinner.

Cool spot on Bay street, love the idea of Jars! No place to sit, but that's why Jars is good, you can take your dessert with you! Order with a live person or tablet, there's two on the right side, get the Tres Leches Cake and Fabio's Tiramisu!! $8.95 per dessert, they also do drinks, Refreshers- SM $4.95 and LG $5.95 my son tried the Blue Raspberry Lemonade! Didn't get to try the Cake Bars, $5.25 will be back!

Looking for a dessert after dinner, my party and I stumbled into JARS searching for an answer to our sugar cravings. With this being the only nearby option, we immediately walked over less than a block and were in shock at the plethora of enticing dessert options presented to us immediately upon entry. We were greeted with an assortment of Cake Pops and a menu that listed included Tiramisu Iced Coffee, JARS of Gelato and my favorite dessert, Milkshakes! Seeking to not overdo it with a dairy-greasy combination in our stomach having just completed a very satisfying Hot Pot dinner right down the street, my wife and I settled to share a Red Velvet Cheesecake Milkshake, while our friends selected to share an Oreo Cookies and Cream one. What greeted us immediately upon first taste was a rich, creamy, delightful sensation we've never had before. Our Milkshake literally tasted how one would envision a piece of cake being covered into a milkshake would taste like. It was the perfect texture, right amount of sweetness and a work of art. I can't speak on behalf of our friends but one of them said he preferred an In N' Out shake over theirs, while the other friend loved it. It's also worth noting that the menu is super diverse in flavor options, we literally had to fight our urges for the Tiramisu and Banana Cream Pie ones. The staff was super friendly, provided great recommendations, based upon their observations of popularity with customers, and got our shakes to us within just a few minutes after ordering. JARS literally provided me with one of the best milkshakes I've ever had, period. I can't wait to return for the next one and also explore their menu even further next time. 5/5.

We stopped by Jars by Fabio Viviani and honestly loved the experience from start to finish. First off -- the desserts. We tried the tres leches, and it was our favorite: soft, moist, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. The jar format makes it such an easy, mess-free treat, especially if you're walking around or waiting in line nearby. What really stood out, though, was the customer service and community support. We had a chance to chat with the manager, who shared that they mainly hire graduates from Emeryville High School and actively support the local Emeryville community. You can feel that care -- everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely proud to be there. We're also huge fans of Fabio Viviani (Top Chef forever ), so it was extra special to support one of his concepts that's doing good locally. Perfect sweet treat for walking around, waiting in line, or bringing to Valentine's or Galentine's. If you're in Emeryville, this spot is absolutely worth a stop.

Went the other night- on a weekday. Customer Service was excellent, the front person was able to give his recommendations based on other clients and his own personal flavor. He explained the options and was super helpful. We tried the smaller to go jars and I was not disappointed. we took them home and their convenient carry out jars and I fell in love. They cake was moist, the layers of flavors decadent and pretty satisfying imo. it didn't taste overly sugary or fake! Will visit again. Lighting was great, options were great, staff was friendly.

Such a fun vibe! Look at these to-go boxes too!

Omg how cute is JARS! Baystreet Emeryville is popping up with so many unique, new spots. After a recent visit, I'm excited for the positive changes, renovations, and future of this shopping center. It's seen its fair share of change, but JARS by Fabio Viviani is a breath of fun air! If you're looking for a little something sweet post-meal, or a cute dessert gift to bring for a party/holiday, JARS has adorable packaging and a great product. Literally a dessert jar with enough bites of deliciousness that you'll be more than satisfied. Flavors we tried: Banana Cream Pie (with Nilla wafers), Oreo Cookies n Cream, and Red Velvet Cheesecake. I loved the Banana Cream Pie most because I'm just a stan to that pie forever, but all in all, JARS did it justice. Layers of super yummy mason jar fillings. There are limited edition flavors and also shakes & soft serve. A customer was having such a great vibe with his soft serve, he asked if I wanted to try his creation :) Looks like you can order ahead on the website (I would def check the menu out or at least the look/feel of these little cuties), and they have party packs. No seating inside, but there is seating around Baystreet now if you're wanting to nibble in the immediate. For Baystreet I usually park in the covered garages, they've made the park and pay much more streamlined (now you can pay after you exit the car at a kiosk by entering your spot number) before entering the shopping/dining area, or by the app.

I'd love to try this spot with my kids but one has a dairy allergy. Any non diary/vegan options? If so, which ones?

We don't have any dairy free or vegan options for most of our desserts. We do have fruit flavored refreshers, that are quite nice and dairy-free.

But, my boss orders us food from Fenton's via Doordash to be delivered to our Oakland office from time to time. Last several times in a row, it's been pretty dang bad, (the potato chips always taste fishy!) but today (8/5/26) it was literally garbage. We had 2 egg salad sandwiches and a jalapeno burger, plus two milkshakes. The egg salad sandwiches had to be straight up tossed out. Just not edible. The egg salad was sooo watery, it was like a soup. Just dripping and running down out of the bread. Also, a HEAVY mustard taste, overpowering everything else. The burger had a piece of something (literally) translucent on it, apparently their idea of a slice of cheese? And the accompanying fries were COLD. The toasted almond milkshake was so runny it was like a flavored water. Not at all a creamy consistency, I don't even think they made it with milk, it seemed to be just a tiny bit of ice cream, some water and a lot of ice cubes (still visible in the shake). Just nasty. The other milkshake seemed ok. Of course, with the order being from DoorDash, it's near-impossible to get any real support, so it's just basically a total loss. I don't know if Fenton's just doesn't GAF, since they're always busy anyways, OR if they need to pay their employees more in order to attract the sort of person who's capable of being trained to care to do things correctly, but it's just really a bummer that such a neat, fun, old legacy business is allowing itself to disappoint customers and turn into a big mess like this. Sad.

The only issue is there's no clear menu posted online, so we walked in completely blind. Their website shows a long list of flavors but not what they actually have that day, so it felt like a guessing game. The line moved really slow because there was only one employee handling everything. She was taking orders, giving samples, answering questions, and ringing people up all at once. She was super friendly and doing her best, but it felt like a lot for one person during a rush and the shop could definitely use more help. The space is really small and tight so it was hard to even see the flavors until we got close to the front. When we finally got up there, a lot of the tubs were already empty which was confusing since most ice cream shops restock. Some flavors I wanted weren't available anymore, and if they're out it would make more sense to just remove them from display. The dirty containers didn't make sense to display. I sampled the jasmine green tea and knew right away I wanted it. It was creamy with a smooth tea flavor that wasn't overpowering. I got a small with half jasmine green tea and half avocado. The avocado was surprisingly really good, super creamy and tasted like a fresh avocado smoothie. Both flavors weren't overly sweet which I liked. My husband wanted cookies and cream but it was sold out so he got chocolate chip instead, which was solid and creamy with good texture. Overall the ice cream itself was good, not the best I've had but definitely not bad. I like that the flavors lean more natural and not overly sweet. I could see myself coming back if I'm in the area, but the experience would be a lot better with faster service and more consistency with what's actually available.
