First time ever using U-Haul's services. A couple nights before pickup I went online, set up an account, and chose my location and truck size. Day of pickup at 10am I went to this location and it wasn't too busy, so I was set up quickly with my 15' truck. I had an appt at 9:00 am this morning to get my lights working on my trailer. I said I'd wait and they said there's no place to wait and the serviceman was stuck on trying to remove bolts on another job. I ubered home and waited until 11:45 to call them. I needed my SUV for errands. They said they were still looking at it so I told them don't fix it and I'll pick it up. I ubered back and the manager said I owed $20 or i wasn't getting my keys back. I asked the manager what the $20 was for and he said labor. I wasn't happy and asked him to explain and an employee yelled at me from a side room saying something like I did the wiring myself and screwed everything up. I asked him who he was and he kept complaining about the the wiring and the manager let him. With him coming out of the back room and toward me, I thought it was going to get physical. After a minute or two with the manager enjoying the show, he finally called off his employee and got back to excuses. I paid the $21.00 on my card and left. I checked the wiring on my suv outside and they had pulled it apart. That was not needed as I asked for an estimate first. I at least had one trailer light working when I got there, now I had none. Extremely poor customer service; the 800 number is just as bad. It is sad that a company that has been around for so long has given up on providing quality customer service. Due to them I left almost two days later then scheduled for a drive from Florida to California. In addition, I was given a trailer that not only leaked (many of my items were wet upon arrival to my final destination) but had two "faulty" tires in which the tread was literally peeling off (I have images that I will be submitting to the BBB along with a letter). They will try to ignore any issues that you have, their primary interest is to charge you, provide minimum service and faulty equipment. You may pay more if you go elsewhere - but it could very well be worth it to do so. -SB read more

This is the worst U-Haul I have ever been to. The customer service is ridiculous, there is none. We dealt with Yanitza. She was EXTREMELY rude and when I asked a question she answered with attitude. When we were waiting on the truck to be brought around for us, there was another couple waiting as well. The U-Haul worker honked at them so they would move instead of verbally asking them. Went here to buy some propane. I was immediately greeted at my car. The attendant promptly filled my tank with propane. I then went inside and paid my bill. It's probably the best service I have received this location. Will definitely return. read more

Initial service was fast, but the truck was terrible. Dents, scratches, and it was missing pieces in the cab. When i complained, i was told it was the only 15' left, and not to worry, i had insurance on it. A/C and defroster quit less than 2 miles away, when i tried to call the "local" number to find out what to do, it "automatically" transferred me to their national line where I was told "no one was in the store" that I had just left (it was 3:30pm). Was refused a manager, transfered multiple times and finally sent to roadside assistance where I sat on hold for 22 MINUTES!?!?! No one ever picked up. I finally just dealt with it- we had to empty our storage today. It took 3 more calls to get a service agent who would even take a complaint. Truly terrible service. At dropoff, the place we were told to park the truck is unlit, so it was pitch black, we needed flashlights to walk around the building. Which felt so very safe...... Spend the extra and go with Rider, they actually answer their phones. This place was pure crap, and totally unable to help with truck issues. read more

Giving them one star because it won't let me give them minus 5, I picked up my truck at this location today (my reservation was for the Alafaya branch) but U received a call saying that my reservation was moved to Goldenrod Rd. I was suppose to get a 26 foot truck an ,auto transport trailer and a appliance dolly. I ask the person that works outside with the trucks about the dolly and he said yes is in there. So I trusted him. When I get to my storage unit 5 Miles away and unhook my trailer with my car on it I open the truck and there is no dolly. The storage won't let me leave my car here and I called the location and they said that no one can help me for there mistake, and even the Manager refuse to speak to me saying he is too busy. Now I'm without the equipment that I need. WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. I will never rent again from uhaul. read more

Horrible!!!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would!! I reserved a truck a day in advance, when I arrived, they had no trucks available at all! They told me to try back later even though I had already reserved a truck from them!! They also told me to try again on the online ordering, "it's your best way to reserve a truck". That's how I reserved the first one!!! They finally called me and said they have a truck available for pick up at 2pm. I waited and then got a notification that the truck wouldn't be ready till 2:30pm. I headed that way and got another notification, my truck won't be ready till 3:30pm. I called and they told me they were not sure when the truck would be returned, so they were not sure when I would be able to pick the truck up...................... Due to their incompetence, I never got a truck and the $1000 worth of furniture I was going to pick up got ruined by rain!!! Never never never use this U-Haul!!! They need to get their "stuff" together. read more

Wonderful staff and I mean all of them. Every time I've visited I have been greeted and felt welcome since the moment I stepped in the vicinity. The staff also took it upon themselves to go the extra mile and call me everyday to assure me that my scooter was still safe where I left it parked while renting the uhaul. I've been to other locations but this one is by far the best one I've been to yet. I've seen the other reviews and it just doesn't add up to my personal experience whatsoever. The last time I went there aswell my uhaul had no AC and they went ahead and upgraded the truck to a bigger one for the same price which was pretty nice of them and I didn't even ask them to do that read more

I want to start off by saying this place needs new employees. I recently left there after arriving at 625p. I called the lady named Sheila who works there saying that I'm On my way to pick up my reservation. As I get there, the place is locked and pitch black as if no ones been there all day. I called and Miss Sheila said that they are open and close at 7p. At that point I asked at which location is she located and she said 508 Goldenrod across from Macs Auto Place. Before she hung up on me she said she'd be on her way. I waited patiently till 702p and no one showed up. I am highly annoyed because I never have a problem with U haul. Super easy to schedule and get a hitch installed on my car. Took less than an hour. Once I requested the appointment I received a call within less than an hour informing me they were available right then. It was on a Saturday and they have a professional hitch installer who gets the job done super quick and efficiently who was there during the morning time. He showed me how the lights work and they helped me pick out the ball size needed. As a side note, make sure you know the ball size of the trailer. I gave them the wrong ball size so I had to go back and they switched it out for free in like 5 minutes. read more

Incompetent staff. I was given an appointment to install a hitch. After I dropped of the car at 7:00 am, came back at 1:00 pm and nobody has installed the hitch. Moreover, the staff member named John told me the part was not in stock. No apologies. Nothing! read more

Needed to trade up to larger unit and they were very quick to respond. No issues and no delay.

Can't give them a zero, but I would if I could! these people cannot be trusted with your credit card!! they will charge your card with false charges and refuse to return my call to refund my card. After 2 weeks of calling every day, I finally gave up and I'm letting my credit card company deal with them. Beware, I rent trucks monthly from budget and needed something last minute, and paid the price by going with uhaul !! read more
