Nowhere did it say when we reserved that there was a 15 min grace period, when we gave them that feedback and asked if they could just help us look at another location we were met with screams and getting kicked out along with several swear words on each end because they escalated it to that point. I usually look in depth regarding reviews for everything. I slipped this time trusting U-Haul's website's misleading reviews. I attached the screenshot for this location. I had an appointment on July 16th at 4pm for a hitch installation. I also attached a picture of a sign in front of their business advertising hitch installation. In light of this, I was shocked when their front desk gentleman had no idea what a car hitch was and he asked me how many hours I would need it for. I selected that I would stay with my car when making the reservation. Quickly I realized there was no seating. I walked to Chick-fil-A and waited for 2 hours before calling to check in. They stated it may be an overnight installation since it was near closing. Their mechanic called me around 6:30 to state they were missing a piece (a drill bit if I remember correctly) and that the car would be ready by 10am. He changed this to 11am so that I wouldn't have to wait and was apologetic. The next day at 10:36am (stating it would be 45 min longer wait as they were missing a piece), 11:56am (stating it would be another hour as they ordered the wrong wiring), and 2:33pm (stating ready for pickup). The only time I received a call with an update was from their mechanic. Every other call was rerouted to U-Haul customer service. On the last two calls, U-Haul's customer service called to speak with the manager of the location to get updates. Upon arrival a little after 3pm, they were still finishing. They were friendly and informed me I would be receiving a discount for the inconveniences and I was grateful. (Make note they asked where I was headed and I stated Washington state.) However, I discovered something under my car. The wiring was hanging from the bottom of my car. I'll let the reader determine how dangerous a hanging wire is when traveling from Atlanta, GA to Seattle, WA. However friendly their staff was unfortunately does not satisfy incompetence. I attached pictures. The hitch attachment was installed only 4 to 5 inches from the ground which creates a SAFETY hazard. We did modify so it is higher now and put on a cotter pin. We are now purchasing a high power drill to make holes so that we can attach the wiring with zip ties to the bottom of my car. I hope to God the hitch itself was installed properly. read more

Contacted U-Haul and they had exactly what I needed, when I need and were able to coordinate for my hometown drop off. This is the 2nd time I have used this location. Absolutely terrible experience at this location when I visited this weekend to simply pick up moving supplies. There was zero available or designated parking at this facility, and so I parked between two trucks and then an employee came out yelling and cursing at me to "move my f.....ingg.. car". I have never seen such unprofessional behavior before in a business. The agents at the desk were absolutely unprofessional, there were also cars in the parking lot with music blaring. The entire store felt unsafe and poorly managed to say the least. This location is very convenient but I will never visit it again after this experience. read more

Rented a trailer (for 15 hours) from this location that had to be returned by 8:30 am for another customer/rental. I pulled into the U-Haul lot and was immediately startled by the U-Haul employee, Tiwannie Ross, repeatedly blowing the horn of a large box truck she was sitting in. I pulled up to the "STOP" sign and she scolded me because another truck was allegedly coming from the rear of the building. She then took her time checking me out, told me I was checked out and to look for an email although I asked for a printed receipt, and jumped in her large box truck, rolling up the window and turning up the radio after asking her, again, for a printed receipt. I left, without a printed receipt, with her still sitting in the truck blasting the radio. She did not check the trailer for damages nor did she confirm the hand truck was inside the trailer. Thankfully, everything was recorded correctly when I reviewed my electronic receipt. read more

This place is a joke. Reserved a 17' truck online and was told it was guaranteed at 8:30am. Showed up right on time and was told they don't have it and wouldn't have it until 2pm. Not going to work. Employee moved my reservation to another location and said they'd have it available at 10am which, of course, they didn't. Uhaul in general is a terrible company with the most idiotic inventory system imaginable. But this location in particular is garbage and the employees do not care in the slightest about screwing peoples moving plans up. Avoid. read more

Made an appointment online do you have a hitch installed on my vehicle. Call two days before the hitch was to be installed and was told they would contact me if the parts had not been received as of yet. Drove half an hour this morning to the center only to be told that they had not received the parts and had no idea when these parts would arrive. Planning a trip next week and needed the hitch, very disappointing service. The manager was ambivalent with regards to my situation and told me I should order the parts on Amazon and bring them in for installation. That was an unacceptable answer to my dilemma. I should have read the reviews. Do not use this Uhaul service. The manager treats people like criminals. The van was not there, after making a reservation in person. The manager requires that your emergency contact be called at time of rental. They tell the person on the phone it's a reference check. It is not a reference, it's an emergency contact. If no one answers they will deny rental. Go anywhere else but here. And frankly double check mileage before you leave. The one I did rent was 69 dollars, bill came back saying 100 miles was driven and that was just wrong. Do not trust UHaul in Atlanta. They will rip you off and treat customers like you are trying to steel the truck. read more

I'm not too pleased with the service at this U-Haul location. I came here to buy some wardrobe boxes for $8 each and to check it out for a future hitch installation on my SUV. The guy behind the counter saw us come in and never asked if he could help us. Luckily we found the boxes and carried them to the counter. Once there he rang up the order and gave us our total, with no facial expression. It wasn't that he was really rude, he just seemed he didn't care for our business. Wish I could give them negative stars for all the money and stress they cost me. I made a tow hitch reservation 2 weeks ago and showed up today at the scheduled time and it turns out they randomly moved my installation to next week without notifying me at all (no emails and no calls) and they just shrugged and blamed the parts. I needed it done this weekend before I go out of town, so they completely ruined all of my vacation and they didn't even offer any help or to call another location or anything, instead the girl acted like I was bothering them. After slow service at Fix It Ace Hardware (Chastain - off Roswell Rd), I decided to try using u-haul for a propane tank refill at 3947 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta. However as this is an active U-Haul rental facility I don't think using them as my primary propane refill spot is going to work for me, I don't like to take more than 5 minutes to complete the transaction. It is really difficult to locate a place to refill a propane tank in Atlanta without having to stand around and wait. read more

Terrible experience. I would never come back. The truck had mold growing out the ceiling, passenger door would not close, check engine light was on during the rental. I was told to unload and bring the truck back because of the check engine light and that everything would be taking care of, but I was hit with a fueling charge. ($90 fueling charge, but the truck was driven a total of 12 miles) Furthermore, I had to spend additional money on movers and moving equipment that was not available even though it was on my reservation. When I came back the same day to explain that the truck was in terrible condition and that I now needed a lock and to extend the time since the delay with getting the truck pushed me behind schedule, your employee ignored the problem and sold me the lock. Lastly to add insult to injury the following day when I dropped of the truck this location had tons of moving equipment in the garage and the girl who check my truck in said the got a lot of equipment in this week. So purposely didn't give me the equipment that I requested and needed. Please avoid this location at all cost. Uhaul, please buy better trucks, maintenance them regularly, and take better care of your customers. read more

I never write bad reviews but we were shocked at how over the top and hostile the employee, Wesley, was at this location. When bringing back the uhaul he started screaming at me when I walked inside telling me that I can't come in. I was sort of taken aback and said I'm just trying to return the keys. We waited around outside and watched him yelling at other customers, running around like a chicken w his head cut off. My mom approached him to ask where we can leave the keys and he asked "are you stupid?!" and walked away. There were other confused customers and we eventually figured out where the drop box was on our own. He yelled at us again when we simply informed him that we put the keys in the drop box. This guy should not be working at a job where he interacts with customers. He's nuts. In the future I will go out of my way to never use this location again, even though I live right next to it. THEY scheduled me for the wrong day. I was told my car would be done first thing in the morning. Brought it back the next day. I called to see if it was done. I had a great experience with this U-Haul location the other day. I booked online a rental van about 15 minutes before picking it up around 2:30pm and made a few errors on my order but when I got to the location that were fixed every quickly! The location might be easy to miss coming from the Brookhaven area but it definitely has a large variety of rental options to pick from so I was happy they could help me out. The van I rental had a few issues with tire pressure which took away from my rental from going as smoothly as I would have liked it but couldn't be the location from my moving needs. I would definitely recommend this location if you live and/or moving somewhere close by. read more

RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had the absolute most horrible experience this location today. The woman who "helped" us was so rude. It's probably the worst I have ever been treated by a business. The woman who helped us demanded 3 contacts from me. When I didn't produce a phone number for a 3rd contact fast enough, she kicked us out. Told us she was done "playing with us." We immediately offered her any contact information she needed and she just told us to leave. We reserved a truck ahead of time and our move was postponed because of thus. I am a very polite 45 year old woman and was nothing but patient and polite with her despite watching her be insanely rude to everyone who walked in to the location. U-Haul is only around for people who absolutely need it- and I did. Originally, I was going to another location but they did not have my truck available so I was tossed to this location. I must say, this loc was much friendlier than the one before but I'm still frustrated which is how U-Haul handles their things internally. Their website is not the easiest thing to navigate through and it makes renting a truck somewhat of a tedium. Having to go to another location last minute, and in rush-hour making me move furniture in the dark was also incredibly irritating. And the answer is no, I did not get a text message or email reminder that they switch the location. read more

Do NOT do business with this location if you care about being treated fairly and kindly. The manager is not only extremely rude, unfair and inconsiderate if customers' time, but that he requires ridiculous documentation before renting out a pick up truck for less than 4hrs. In addition to divers license, he also required copies of our lease agreement and when we showed to him he said he won't accept as the lease ended in a month and "was not current". He keeps citing "past bad experiences where customers stole my trucks" for these ridiculous demands. What does that even mean and how could he do this to customers. We decided to go to a different branch and easily rented out a truck with no problem.
