Came in for a battery replacement. NO big deal. They told me they couldn't replace the battery unless I ALSO paid to have my backglass replaced because it was "cracked". "I don't care if it's cracked," I said. "I only want the battery replaced." They told me in NO uncertain terms that they "weren't allowed" to replace my battery unless I also repaired my phone to "Samsung's standards of repair." The price? $250!!! I brought my Xbox in for an HDMI port issue, they charged me just for a diagnostic which took like 2 weeks and then told me the repair price was like $200. We already paid for the diagnostic so I moved forward, got my xbox and they assured me it was under warranty and if I had issues to bring it back. I would say the issue was bandaided and it was just as sensitive as before and later broke again within 2 months. There's nothing in the warranty apparently that covers fixing it since they've now claimed there's a "deeper issue". It was the exact same HDMI issue but they again quoted me $260...... and offered to take $20 off the price LOL. I wonder what the warranty DOES cover? On 3/6 I scheduled an appointment for my Samsung Galaxy S10e battery replacement on 3/7 at 10:00 at the Cypress service center. I arrived at 10:00 on 3/7 but the Cypress service center was not open.  By 10:15 the technician arrived and the service center was open. I entered and identified myself to the technician and stated I was there for the scheduled  battery replacement.  The technician checked the inventory and stated they did not have the battery in stock but they could get it in three days. When I inquired why I was not notified of the stocking issue and had not received any communication from the Cypress service center the technician stated that I should have called to see if they had stock. I replied that was the purpose of the scheduled appointment and I expected someone from the Cypress service center to determine whether they had stock to deliver the service for the appointment and if it was determined that there was no available stock then they would follow-up with a phone call or a text that the service appointment would need to be rescheduled instead of waiting for me to arrive at the Cypress service center and then advising me (the customer) that they could not provide service due to an inventory issue. That was the message conveyed by the technician on 3/7.  I requested the technician order the part (the replacement battery) and I would reschedule the appointment for 3/11.  On 3/10 I called the Cypress service center and verified the part was in stock and that they could do the battery replacement as scheduled.  On 3/11 I arrived at 10:00 and the Cypress service center was open and a different technician greeted me, verified the problem, part availability, and accepted my phone for the battery replacement.  He asked me to return in 2 hours.  I returned at noon and my phone was ready as promised.  I  have used ubreakIfix service before (at the heights location) and was very satisfied with the repair and the excellent customer service which was the reason I chose to use ubreakIfix again to resolve my problem.  I have also referred and recommended ubreakIfix to others who have electronic appliance product issues but now I have concerns with the Cypress service center and how they manage their appointments and how they communicate with their customers.  Customer communication is just as important as the repair and an essential part of the customer service experience.  It often differentiates whether a customer will continue to be a customer or will they go to a competitor.  The two technicians I met on 3/11 appear to be capable and I am satisfied with the repair, but the technician I met on 3/7 needs more customer service training and I am not satisfied with the experience. read more

Our daughter dropped her iPhone briefly in water, so we powered off her phone and dried it as best we could, then took it to uBreakiFix where they took it apart and put it into some sort of dehydration unit to eliminate all water. Then they powered it on and ran diagnostics and all checked out okay. No charge! We were VERY HAPPY with the service provided by this business. Be careful of this place. I put in a claim with Asurion to replace my battery on my iPhone and was referred to the uBreakiFix Cypress location. I took my phone in on 7/14/2024. The tech stated it would take 2 hours to change. After 2 hours, the tech told me that he replaced the battery but the phone wouldn't power up. He mentioned he tried another battery - same thing. He put back my original battery and it powered back up. I noticed that there was a warning under Settings noting "Display Not Recognized". The tech made no indication that in the process of changing the battery that he damaged and changed my display. I asked him about the "Display Not Recognized" warning and he mentioned that it was a "software glitch" that it would go away in a couple of days. The tech seemed unsure of himself and this didn't make sense to me. I asked to speak to his manager. He was in the back for about 5 minutes and came back out and said his manager was on vacation and would be in the store on Tuesday (7/16/2024). After leaving the store, I did some research and discovered other facts that tell me my iPhone displace was replaced without my consent, and even more troubling was the tech was dishonest with me about this. I feel he broke my display in the process of changing the battery. The following are facts that tell me that the display on my iPhone was not my original display: 1) "Display Not Recognized" in Settings. This is a built in function for most iPhones whree it can detect if it has a non Apple display installed. 2) No True Tone option from Control Center. 3) Display brightness range is off. The low brightness is too bright. 4) Bottom black bezel is thicker than the other sides. 5) Screen freezes. Have to click power button to get back. 6) Colors are not the same. 7) My original iPhone had a small light scratch around where the time is displayed. This scratch was not on the iPhone after it was handed back to me. I finally was able to speak with the manager of the store and shared my experience. He mentioned he would look into this and get back to me. As of 7/25/2024 he has not followed up with me. I followed up with someone from Asurion, and shared my experience. They were very understanding and sent me a new iPhone (same model). My biggest concern with my experience was the dishonesty. read more

Do not take your ps4 to them. Had my hard drive replaced go online buy one and 1 screw it comes out the back. If ps4 is dirty they will not warranty it they do not tell you until you pick it up. They could call and ask you if you want it cleaned I would have said yes. But it is not hard lots of you tube to show you how did mine in 45 minutes can now do it on half hour (lots of screws). So after this experience I will not be back. Called a place that my daughter used and he would have cleaned it and replaced the HD for same price. But would have had to ship it to him. I have been in the electronic mechanical repair for over 40 years and let me tell you the flith equipment i use to repair from coal mines. A little board wash and washing covers in dishwasher and all came out clean never charged brought lots of good will and had coustomers for life and sent us work. I just stopped in to see if it was worth repairing my I phone 8. I wasn't able to plug the charger cord in and the battery was very low. The tech looked at the phone, then asked if he could take it into the back. He wasn't gone 5 minute, and came back with the phone working fine again. I sent in my girlfriends acer nitro packed with perfect tech, sent in with a AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, an RTX 2060. When I got the computer back it was magically powered by a 9th gen i5 processor. lol these guys are an absolute joke. I was doing 100 frames stable and easy on overwatch 2 now were lucky to crack 30. My father worked cyber security for Nasa, and has taught me everything from a very very young age. My husband cracked his iPhone screen and needed it to be repaired so he brought it in and was told it would be 45 mins to fix. Came back in 45 mins, then was told it would be another 30 mins. Came back in 30 mins and waited another 30 mins! We waited over 2 hours! The guy, Antonio A didn't even have the decency to apologize or anything. He could have just told us to come back in a few hours and it wouldn't have been a problem, but he ended up wasting part of our day. We will definitely never go back.
